    House sauce
    Janae B.

The food was incredibly fresh and, had a homemade taste. Even though I placed a larger order, everything was prepared surprisingly quickly--my total wait time was only about ten minutes. The flavors were spot-on, and the house sauce in particular was outstanding; it really tied the whole meal together. Overall, this is easily one of the better food trucks in San Francisco. The quality, speed, and delicious flavors make it a spot I'd happily return to and recommend to others.

Cold fries and lukewarm dry burger

Was my burger made on an off day? I ordered online and literally picked it up asap, getting there before they even said completed on my phone text. My burger was lukewarm and very dry. The cheese wasn't even melted, or maybe it just solidified again. Anyways, the temperature was way off. My Cajun fries were cold and not at all lukewarm or hot like I would have hoped. We wound up dumping them. None of us wanted cold fries. I don't care about the higher prices. I'll pay for quality any day. I just want my burger to not be dry, and to be hot, and for my fries to be hot too. I'm all about supporting small business and food trucks because I believe in them and want them to succeed so I hope they don't get angry and instead us this as constructive criticism that I DO like their food IF it were hot and fresh, which is what anyone would want. Very few people want cold fries and lukewarm meat. The taco was equally dry and lukewarm to cold. My friend was super disappointed. Also, just so you know, I did order through the app and when I picked it up, we ate it right away, so it's not like I drove around letting the food get cold. 3 stars for average. The veggies on the burger were fresh, and I like their truck location. They just need to work on the temperature of the food because we don't like cold fries and a lukewarm dry burger and dry coldish taco.

Awesome touch-screen ordering or online in advance.

Service for this place is great! You can order from the touch screen in front or online in advance to save you time. Service grade: A I would give this burger a 4.7 overall. I was very impressed by the quality of the products this burger was assembled with. The brioche bun was one of the best I've had. The bun holds well and keeps everything together. For the add-ons I ordered, I ordered it with everything which includes Lettuce, Tomato, Fresh Onion, Grilled onions, Grilled Jalapeños, and Pickles. I did not get the beef bacon which was an additional $2. I wanted to try it this way first. The burger was awesome. I wished the patty was seasoned a bit more and it would be my version of "perfect". I was legit impressed. Burger grade: A/A- I did get the meal which is an awesome deal. You get a great portion of fries and a drink. I opted for the Cajun seasoning on the fries. The seasoning wasn't overpowering which is great! They were crispy, hot, and perfectly fried. Fries grade: A The truck is located in front of Cloudz Hookah Lounge when in operation. My overall grade is an A for Smasherz. Job well done!

This place is so close to being a go to spot, it hurts! Unfortunately, it was all slightly off. I ordered the Smash burger, that comes with two patties. I added grilled jalapeños and I ordered my special sauce on the side. There was only one thing wrong with my burger. My patties were a little overcooked, crispy and on the verge of being dry. I also ordered the special sauce on the side. I wanted to get the full flavor of the meats. And I tell you what, next time the sauce will be on the burger. The fries were fresh, tasty but not as crispy as it should be and were lukewarm. I'm telling you, this place is seriously close to being a go to, better barely missing the mark. I will be back tho. I also enjoyed the way I ordered. You can hit the QR code, order on your phone or use their order pad, that is mounted on the side of the truck. You touched the screen, pick out exactly what you want, with a bunch of options, pay and wait for your food. I paid, heard a beep inside the truck and the guy started moving and grooving. I got lucky today, because there were no other customers and my food was ready in about 5 to 10 minutes. I wouldn't say it's a truck where you can eat your food at. Unfortunately this truck is running on a generator, which is making an obnoxious amount of racket. I feel bad for the guy inside the truck, because it's gotta be amplified inside. The truck is also located in front of a hookah lounge, that is open after 4 PM. I wonder what it sounds like inside of there. Guys, there are quieter generators! At the end of the day, it was an average meal and they could've possibly had a bad day. I will definitely swing by again and give them another shot.

    Smasherz burger and Cajun fries
    Sharon N.

Was craving smash burgers and found this close by food truck. While it did satisfy our craving, I'd only rate it a B+. I liked that the burgers were not too oily but I wish it had a little more flavor. Not sure what the special sauce was but it was dark gray, kind of reminded me of black sesame but obviously not that flavor haha. Was pleasantly surprised by the Cajun fries though, seasoning was tasty. Note that the address on Google Maps is incorrect but the one on Toast Tab is, parked next to a Kumon. Plenty of street parking on El Camino or the side streets but there isn't a public seating area so it's better for takeout. There was only one person working the truck so it took 20 min for our order (3 Smasherz Burgers and 1 Cajun fries) and someone ordered right after us so they had to wait a while lol. There's a tablet in front of the truck to order or you can do pickup/delivery on Toast Tab.

Very god high quality smash burgers with great ingredients. Have to subtract a star because we were given a subpar batch of mint lemonade. However he did exchange it for a different drink.

    Smash Quesadilla

Went for Lunch Food - 3/5. Smash quesadilla was alright. We kept it simple with some vegetables and ranch which kept the flavors light and paired well with the beef and cheese. However, the burger only covers the center of the quesadilla, leaving most of the quesadilla being either plain tortilla or just vegetables. Tortilla could've been toasted better as it was only lightly grilled in the center. This resulted in most of the tortilla being floppy with no texture. Smash burger was assembled better leading to a nice ratio of burger, cheese, vegetables on a well toasted bun. The special sauce had a nice appearance with an interesting grey color scheme, but tasted mostly of mayo. Fries were fantastic being golden brown with a great crispy texture. The seasoning was delicious with hints of lemon and plenty of pepper counterbalancing the fried flavor. Service - 4/5. Friendly and quick service. Order can also be done online and food was prepared in a timely manner. Value - 2/5. Main entrees a la carte will run you around $15 while a combo including fries and a drink will be around $19. Portion sizes are fine, but the price felt too high for the quality, particularly on the quesadilla. Parking - Street (Free)

Another interesting concept on how to serve food if you don't have a kitchen. It's a food truck in front of the hooka bar . Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the burger and so many sauces to choose from. Parking can be challenging but it's worth it if you want to try a different taste. Plan to return to try the other things on The menu. Pricey but it can be a special treat. The staff are friendly and seating is good inside. Not sure how it would be with smokers though .

Great portion size, good flavor, and all for $6.95. If you like fish ceviche, definitely recommend trying this. The burrito was amazing as usual, crazy how the flavor and quality has stayed the same over the past 20 years. Kudos to their entire team for keeping the traditions going. My parents ended up snagging my quesadilla and they were pleasantly surprised how much they enjoyed it (I wasn't lol). The quesadilla is HUGE. They pack that thing with so much shrimp and steak, it's well worth the $14.95. It also comes with sour cream and guacamole on the side. If you want something lighter but still want the great flavors, give the quesadilla a try!

My wife got the super burrito and I decided on the super quesadilla. There was about 3-4 people in front of me waiting for food. Waited for about 5 minutes before I got my food. After the drive home, my food was still hot as if it was just served. Chips still crunchy and salsa still chilled. My super quesadilla had really good taste and flavor, but the portion for me just didn't do it. Looked small, felt small and weighted much less compared to my wife's super burrito. The outside slices held together but the middle slices fell apart fast despite using Dos manos (two hands). Basically same price as the super burrito but less food. The super burrito however, this is one of the better tasting burrito's I've had. Cheesy, flexible but crunchy tortilla, flavorful carne asada. Freshness from the pico de gallo, slight kick from the salsa. Overall just a really good burrito. Highly recommend. I definitely will try other things on their menu next time. The question I always ask myself after trying a new place is "would I come back here?". For the super quesadilla, no. For the burrito and to try other things, definitely.

What makes this place so special is not just the food, although the burritos are incredible. They are always packed, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you are craving a really good, classic burrito. The quality and consistency over the years is something that is honestly hard to find. Another thing that says a lot about this place is the staff. Many of them have been working there for almost 30 years, which really speaks to the kind of place it is. You can feel that history when you walk in. It has that true neighborhood staple energy where people know the place, trust the food, and keep coming back generation after generation. For me it is more than just a burrito spot. It is a place tied to memories growing up, and the fact that it is still just as good all these years later makes it even more special. If you want a burrito from a place that has truly stood the test of time, El Super Burrito is it. Note: I love their spinach tortilla burrito option. I found this restaurant on Yelp because of its close proximity to the place I was staying. It was located on a Main Street. Parking was ample for the time I was there but I can see how it could get overloaded. The location is small but it worked...again at the time I was there. They had videos on loop so you would see the food on the screen. I ordered wayyyyy too much food as I was dining alone while on a business trip. Their Cali Burrito was a giant! It was absolutely delicious. Coming from Los Angeles, I've had more than my fair share of these. The meats were excellent. It was filled with fries, fresh guac, and pico de gallo. I'd guess it blew past a pound in weight and it was definitely appreciated! I also ordered the Carnitas Quesadilla. I was so full from my burrito that I barely touched it but it, like the burrito, did NOT disappoint. Another giant of a quesadilla and surely could be an item to share among two or more. If you enjoy quesadillas, this may become your favorite. If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars I would. The simple reason is that it gave me a little taste of home 450 miles away where I was willing to settle with average fast food. Prices are fair to low considering the size of their portions. Give it a try!

"Great hole-in-the-wall Mexican near SFO airport"…read more Came here for dinner at 6pm on a Monday night, based on good Yelp reviews. The place is unassuming-- has a thin stretch of outdoor seating and a handful of tables inside. Not super bright in lighting, and a TV inside was showing a baseball game. Seemed like a lot of the business was takeout, as people would come, hover, get food, and leave. I was GOING to order the fish tacos or a fish quesadilla, but I was swayed by the picture of a breaded fish plate special. My son got the carne asada quesadilla, and others at the table got a veggie burrito and a chicken bowl. Food came out pretty quick-- maybe around or just over 10 minutes (the fish plate and veggie burrito came out slightly after the other two). I was very impressed that the fish plate looked even BETTER than the photo (see photos of both). The fish was HUGE. There was a generous helping of guacamole, lots of fresh avocado slides, some onion and cabbage, etc. There was a nice bed of lettuce on the side with sour cream over it, and the rice & beans (covered with a thin layer of cheese) on another side. The fish plate was just delicious. The batter wasn't overpowering or too heavy, and the fish was excellent inside (and very flat). I really liked the sauce in a little cup on the fish, or having it with avocado or guacamole, or even straight. The rice and beans were yummy too. Such a great dish, and it was under $20 before tax and tip. My dining companions all liked their food, though my son said the carne asada meat was "just good" (he had a bite of the chicken and said that was better). The person at the register was friendly. And as mentioned, the prices were very reasonable. I'd happily eat here again if in the area. Great portion size, great quality, good value, etc. Enjoy!

A food truck called Taqueria Angelica's...boy, was I surprised!…read more I walked up thinking this would be a quick, no-drama taco stop--order, eat, leave, continue pretending I have my life together. Instead, I got pulled into something that felt less like lunch and more like a full-blown culinary side quest starring soulful street tacos with main-character energy. First thing you notice is the smell. It doesn't politely introduce itself--it just shows up and convinces you that whatever you planned to eat today was wrong. Then the tacos arrive. And they don't arrive like "food." They arrive like they've been assembled with intention, patience, and a slight disregard for your emotional stability. Soft corn tortillas holding down perfectly seasoned meats, topped simply but confidently--onions, cilantro, salsa--like they know overcomplicating things would just get in the way of greatness. The first bite is where things get interesting. Because these aren't just street tacos. These are the kind of tacos that make you pause mid-chew and reassess your previous taco experiences. The meat is rich, deeply seasoned, and surprisingly emotional--like it has a backstory it refuses to fully explain. You don't just taste it, you kind of understand it. And then the salsa shows up like a supporting character that secretly runs the whole show. Bright, punchy, slightly chaotic in the best way, it turns every bite into a different conversation. What I love most is the honesty of the place. No unnecessary theatrics. No over-designed anything. Just a steady rhythm of tacos being made and handed over like they already know they're about to improve someone's day. There's also something quietly grounding about the whole experience. People coming in, ordering like they've done this a hundred times, nodding at the staff like old friends. It feels like a small pocket of routine joy in the middle of San Bruno, where everyone understands the unspoken rule: you don't mess with something that already works this well. By the end, I wasn't just full--I was slightly reflective. Like I had just been reminded that sometimes the best food doesn't need a twist or a reinvention. It just needs to show up, do its job, and quietly change your standards forever. I came for tacos. I left emotionally attached to them. Come hungry and Go Big!!!
