    Cheeseburger Bowl

The burger bowl was fantastic! Huge fresh salad with a burger and onion straws on top I barely put a dent in the salad It was so delicious and I'm so glad to find such a great no bun option!

We visited this place two times. Both times we got our food to go. The first time, we ordered a mushroom burger and French fries with chili con carne. We loved the burger, but we didn't like the fries. Not because there was anything wrong with the preparation, we just didn't enjoy the style. The second time, we ordered the same mushroom burger again, and I also got the teriyaki pineapple burger. This time we chose the garlic fries. Unfortunately, the second visit wasn't as enjoyable. My husband said the mushroom burger was pretty dry and not as good as the first time. As for the pineapple teriyaki burger, I might have had higher expectations, but I didn't feel any distinct flavors. It was kind of bland, and one of the buns was very wet and soggy, which wasn't pleasant. The garlic fries were okay, but as you can see in the picture, there was a lot of garlic piled on top. I wish it had been distributed more evenly, because grabbing fries along with chunks of garlic by hand isn't very comfortable. Overall, the prices are affordable, which is a plus. I'm giving this place four stars mainly because of the inconsistency between our two visits.

Cute atmosphere, they happen to have Halloween decorations up and it was fun to see! I tried their seasonal pumpkin milkshake!!! Soooo good, was enjoying the graham cracker crust flavor with pumpkin. I ordered a Single size Garlic fries.... I think I can fend off Vampires for a week there was so much garlic... I Loved it!!! Had the Bacon Burger, no cheese. Also delicious. Thick juicy patty and didn't skimp on the bacon! Might try to order grilled onions instead of a whole raw slab of red onion.

One of the best burger shops in the Bay with many locations. They have reasonable prices, not to mention their delicious milkshakes which are big enough to share as they fill up two containers. Their bacon burger and pineapple teriyaki burger are my favorites. The diner-like interior has booth seating and a good corner window seat. They have back patio seating and the restroom is oddly located through the kitchen. The staff are friendly and service is quick!

I've been coming here since ca it opened, however I've no been in a while. I was kinda disappointed this trip. They removed the station where you put your own toppings! Now you have to make a decision when you order! I was kinda disappointed as I love extra tomato and the pickles they had! No more pickles and just a few fries and onion rings! Nothing like before, burger was tasty but the experience was underwhelming to say the least especially for a Friday night!

Great diner for comfort food for the kids and to get the diner experience. Ordered the tuna melt, burgers, signature salad, sweet potato fries and garlic fries. Everything was tasty. We got the booth which was great for our party of 8. The smell of grease inside the restaurant can get overwhelming after a while. And the temp was really warm inside. We had to ask for them to leave a door ajar.

Soft spot for diners, and if they have red padded seats and booths Ala 50's, miniature cars on the walls, old fashioned vintage yesteryear vibe, everyone slinging grub behind the counter, stools warm and friendly welcoming vibe ... love love love. Not to mention they have all manners of breads you'd want, e.g. is there any other bread for a tuna melt than rye? Nope. Nice and crispy with French fries with a perfect medium cut, not stupid shoestrings or skinny, and not wedge cuts, just your average fries. The real thing that brought it home for me? They have British malt vinegar bottles! I cannot eat fries without vinegar, and boom! The prices are fair, menu on the board, a classic walk-in diner type place.

Restaurant appeared as a typical diner . Dining room was clean and not crowded. Employee behind the counter was polite and friendly. Server and cooks appeared to be very busy. We walked in and did not have to wait long before placing our order with the cashier. We ordered several items on the menu and the food was served shortly after we sat down at our table. I had the" burger bowl." It was a juicy beef patty cooked perfectly (requested medium) served over a generous fresh garden salad , topped with french fried onions- very tasty! My companions ordered a patty melt and a turkey melt which they also enjoyed. Together we all sampled the fish n chips , chili cheese fries and garlic fries- everything was good but the fish n chips were the standout!

Everything is great here. Old style diner with classic food. The prices are a little high would be my only concern- $42 for two burgers, fries, one drink and a milkshake - In N out is much affordable and comparable but it's all good either way. The best item for me is the old style milkshakes served in the cold metal container!

Can't believe I haven't reviewed a San Mateo staple! This has been here forever. I came here after I graduated from Aragon which was a whiiiiile ago. Safe to say the quality of the burgers never changed! I went with a patty melt with pepperjack cheese and mushrooms which was surprisingly filling. I asked for medium rare but got medium instead which is no big deal but I like my burgers a little more pink on the outside. Flavors of the burger are always on point. I'd say the patty size is about 6 oz of ground beef. Probably use 80/20 but if the owner responds to this review, you can correct me if I'm wrong! Everything is cooked to order. Sweet potato fries WITH the spicy aji sauce was the highlight of the meal. My wife and I LOVED the aji sauce, we wanted to order a bottle of it but not sure if that's sold separately. I was told that the sauce was made in-house! Perfect amount of kick. It was like an avocado crema kinda? Hard to describe, really good on the fries and burger. My wife scarfed down her pineapple teriyaki burger in less than 5 min, a testament to how great the burger was. And how hungry she was lol. I didn't get a milkshake this time around, but from what I can remember, their milkshakes are bomb too. Wasn't too busy on a Sunday afternoon. They have a covered outdoor seating area in the back. There is one bathroom located through the kitchen behind the dishwashing station. No garbages to throw anything away, just leave finished meal on table and it'll be bussed accordingly. Looking forward to coming back!

    Avocado Burger and Onion Rings

The burgers here are so juicy and I love the simplicity of them. Nothing is over complicated but you get to pick from a few different burger options. The menu is definitely on the pricier end, but everything tastes fresh! It is a cute old timey themed diner. Order at the counter, grab a seat, and the food comes out pretty quickly. I've had the avocado burger and the bacon cheeseburger a handful of times. Milkshakes are some of the best thing on the menu. Skip the garlic fries, but definitely get the onion rings! I usually end up here when I'm craving some comfort food in the downtown San Mateo area.

Coffee Shake I added Oreos to a chocolate based milkshake. Very delicious.

We are regulars here and highly recommend the burger bowl. You can't go wrong with it. And of course the milkshakes are fire. Service is always great here and everyone is very nice. Cute diner vibes.

The eggs were perfectly poached, the Hollandaise was tasty (but not overwhelming), and the biscuits they come in were really tasty. I also appreciated the lightly dressed salad that came as a side: the greens were very fresh. I also got the Cuban Cortadito, and I was pumped to have a non-dairy coffee drink. It was very well made: the slight hint of condensed milk was a nice touch. It was a nice sweet drink without being cloyingly sweet. But they have so many tasty coffee drinks that it was hard to choose, so I'll def be back to try more of them!

We ordered our food and drinks first at the register and then they gave us a buzzer, which we took to a table of our choice. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, and fortunately, we were able to find a table inside. I ordered the Foreigner Favorite and an iced Yema Latte. My friend ordered the Veggie Scramble and an iced Euro Latte. We both requested less sweet for our drinks. This turned out good for the Euro Latte but I had to go back and ask them to increase the sweetness for the Yema Latte. The drinks were good, nothing too mind-blowing. The Foreigner Favorite was yummy. I really liked the sausages and poached eggs. I love potatoes, and I wish these were a little bit crispier. Regardless, it was an enjoyable dish overall. It was also very filling, and I ended up taking leftovers home.
