We were referred by a Client to go there because all other dentists are hard to get scheduled. Let me tell you, it's been the best decision ever switching dentists. Both Dr. Lee and Dr. Patrick are amazing! They are knowledgeable, personable, professional, great at what they do! On top of that, they really care about their patients. I started with having root canal treatments with Dr. Lee, my tooth hurt like crazy after that, I called in, he fitted me into his schedule the second day just to take a look at what's going on! You know how others just tell you to take pain pills, he actually attended me needs right away. The hours of their operations are good too. Appointments are easy to make! I also loved how Dr. Lee can just explain things so well, he will tell EVERY steps he is taking during the appointments, check with you how you feel frequently, take a break as needed. Tell you what, we eventually moved my entire family over, my parents, my wife and perhaps later my toddler. Drs can also speak Chinese to my parents too. Of course they speak flawless English too lol. Go there, you won't regret it. read more

Had an amazing first experience at Smile Dental! I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Chuang for a gum problem I had been dealing with for a long time. I had already seen a dentist a few months prior for the same reason, but my gum problem persisted even after my dental cleaning. Dr. Chuang, however, was very patient, thorough, and knowledgeable. He took the time to listen to my concerns, answered my questions in a thoughtful way, and had great advice for how to improve my dental hygiene. And best of all, he was able to identify and solve my problem! It has been weeks since my appointment, and I haven't had any gum issues since. Dr. Kumar changed my mind about Dentists. I generally hate going to the dentist because it is so berating and painful every time I go. I even skipped it for 7 years when I moved to Oregon from Colorado. On my first visit, I told the staff and Dr. Kumar my aversion to the dentist so they paired me with a very gentle hygienist (who no longer works there). The staff and Dr. Kumar made me feel very welcome and reassuring, so I didn't get a lecture about how bad my teeth were for the first time ever! (I have a nice smile but am predisposed to tartar and calcium buildup). The technology they have for taking pictures of your teeth with a wand to show you points that they are talking about, and the fact that you don't have to go to a separate room for most teeth x rays is very convenient. They have tvs and dvds for watching so you don't have to pay attention to the procedures they have to do. They let you know each step they are doing so your expectations are set appropriately and nothing catches you off guard. Even the billing is thoroughly explained until I understand the different things that they will be billing and how much each thing costs. My experience with the whole office keeps me going back for my regular cleaning. I have toughened up a bit as my favorite gentle hygienist left, and I now have a harsher one, but hey growth is good! :) read more

Had an emergency appt with Dr. Chuang and I was thoroughly impressed with his care and prioritized safety esp during this pandemic. I was referred to Dr. Kumar's office by a coworker. At first, they made me feel welcome and appriciated, but it all went downhill soon. Here are the reasons why I left them for another provider: 1) Dr. Kumar never gave me enough time and attention. Even at my scheduled checkups he was always running between me and at least two other patients, which in result left me with no time to ask him questions. The final straw for me was when neither the Dr., nor his staff called to check up on me after a VERY painful and lengthy surgery. 2) Restorations (fillings) that Dr. Kumar did for me were polished very poorly. My new dentist adjusted them in 15 minutes (for free!). She said that because of how poorly the were polished they were going to need replacement very soon, if she hadn't adjusted them. After my new Dr adjusted them I felt a huge sense or relief in my whole mouth. I didn't even realize how much discomfort those bad restorations were causing me. 3) Both hygienists are very brutal. I made a mistake of referring three people to this practice, and all three confirmed what I was thinking -- dental cleanings shouldn't have been that painful. All four of us experienced the same thing -- pain and discomfort during the cleanings. 4) Lack of professionalism: one of the hygienists, Rona, bombarded me with highly unprofessional and inappropriate personal questions about my nationality, country of origin, etc. She also made some condescending comments about my background and accent. The assistant who was helping her grabbed my purse without my permission and started showing it to Rona saying that it was cute. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Kumar he has a great bedside manner, he is very detailed and explains what he's going to do prior and during procedure. I also appreciate that he will lay out a treatment plan so you have the opportunity to plan financially for any needed procedures and understand the need for the procedure. He made sure I was comfortable. I have found my dentist and will refer you to all whom inquire. The staff was very friendly as well, "Andreas", ( I may have mis-spelled the gentleman's name) was very patient and gave great instruction and put me at ease as well. The ladies at the front desk were pleasant and patient and gave great customer service. Dr. Kumar has a great team! Check him out if you are searching, you won't be disappointed. read more

As usual, my experience at Smile Dental was outstanding. When I realized that my tooth was in trouble, I called for appointment which was promptly scheduled. Then I called back and left a message asking for antibiotics; my prescription was called to pharmacy right away. Dr. Kumar was his usual self, kind, confident, and knowledgeable. Dr. Kumar and his staff are professional, courteous, and patient. I couldn't recommend them more highly. I'm a nightmare patient and they have been absolutely wonderful. I don't agree with their practice of having me sign financial documents after I've been injected with numbing medication. I recently signed a document that I would have never signed if given to me before the numbing injection (s ). I had told them that I am on a limited monthly income and that I had no dental insurance. I have been an established patient with them when I did have dental insurance. I had written down and verbally expressed to the staff including Dr. Kumar that I was very sensitive to the typical numbing medication and that I do not want him to use that medication. The day I went in to have him work on my gums he gave me the medication I requested him not to give me. Then having the medical issues I was worried about starting to react to the injections and having Jamie the office manager having me sign financial documents. I will not go back to this office or dentist. Bad office practices and a dentist that does not read a patients chart. read more
