    Second time coming to this location to have a dental scan done Nova who is the dental assistant working at this Jacksonville location today is absolutely awesome!!!, I recommend the smile direct club for in Vizza line braces to everyone I meet . Low Cost compared to conventional braces. the office is very cute they are quick and professional... and you get some perks when you go like lip balm and tooth whitener. So if you'd like a brighter Smile with straight teeth ( google the number and call to make an appointment and then go start your journey .They offer a cash option or a down payment with 21 monthly payments .very reasonable.

You should be able to do more for the pain. That's what pain killers are for. I should not have to go through all this just to get a little bit of comfort. I don't know what's going on but pain killers are for people that are in pain. That's why they are made. Just because some people decide to kill themselves by being stupid with drugs that they aren't supposed to take doesn't mean I should being going through all this. Let the people that need what they need get what they need. I don't get to just rest at home for days after an extraction I have a job to do I can't just take off, so going through a job all day long in extreme amount of discomfort and pain is completely unnecessary!!( UPDATE 6:30am) at the hospital doctor comes in. I tell him my dentist won't write me another prescription because it's illegal to write me another one. He looks at me with the most confused look and said that's absolutely false they definitely can write you a prescription... so who the hell am I actually supposed to believe. This is crazy

There are serious questions prospective patients should ask themselves: What is Dr. Franco's full legal name? How could two individuals reportedly pass away after receiving implant procedures under his care in 2023 and 2025? Does Dr. Franco possess the appropriate credentials to perform advanced implant surgeries? Is he formally trained and certified as a Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and does that distinction matter in his current practice? Why was he reportedly terminated by his former employer, Dental Alliance, around April 2021 for allegedly misrepresenting himself? These are not minor concerns. They are questions that directly impact patient safety and transparency. I personally explored Florida Dental Implant Studio and initially had a phone consultation on December 30, 2025. I provided my own X-rays for review, and I was encouraged to come into the office the very next day, December 31, to determine next steps. I met with Dr. Franco and spent over three hours in consultation. After that lengthy meeting, I placed a $3,000 deposit. Additionally, I was required to pay a 2.5% processing fee--an extra $78--simply for using my Visa card. This immediately left a negative impression. Being charged a fee to pay for services felt exploitative and unnecessary, especially for a medical provider. It did not sit well with me. Upon reviewing the treatment plan, I realized the total quoted price for upper implants and two additional single implants was $31,444. When I compared this to competitors offering similar procedures and comparable warranties, the difference was significant: Jax Implants: $24,299 (a savings of $7,195) ClearChoice: $27,600 (a savings of $3,844) Despite similar services and warranties, Florida Dental Implant Studio's pricing was substantially higher. I left the office feeling confused and unsettled. In addition to the quoted total, the 2.5% card fee and an additional $1,376 added to the overall bill made the financial structure feel unclear. Although the procedure was scheduled for January 12, 2026, and I felt relieved at the thought of addressing my dental challenges, I simultaneously felt uncomfortable moving forward. As I walked to my car, I experienced a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. Something told me to pause and do more research. It seemed unusual that an upscale practice would "nickel and dime" patients with additional fees, especially for substantial procedures. I contacted the office manager, CJ, to request postponing the procedure so I could further review the treatment plan--specifically the necessity of the two single implants--and to express my unwillingness to pay the 2.5% Visa processing fee. I offered to provide a cashier's check on the day of the procedure instead. I was informed that full payment would be required prior to the scheduled procedure date. When I questioned why full payment was required in advance, I was given an explanation, and we agreed I would follow up the following week. Even after that conversation, I still did not feel comfortable proceeding. However, I initially dismissed my concerns as normal anxiety about undergoing a significant dental procedure. As a praying woman, I believe in listening to discernment. One evening while browsing YouTube, I came across a report regarding an implant doctor connected to two patient deaths following implant procedures. After watching the "Dateline Jacksonville 2025" segment, I was horrified. Suddenly, my earlier discomfort made sense. The report raised additional concerns about patient safety, oversight, and emergency preparedness. As an educated consumer, I began asking more questions about whether I would receive proper medical support if complications arose during surgery. Ultimately, I concluded that I was not comfortable putting my health--and potentially my life--at risk. I contacted CJ again and informed her of my decision to cancel services and requested the return of my $3,078 deposit. She stated she would consult the finance department and follow up. A week later, I was informed that my deposit would not be refunded because it was being applied as the doctor's consultation fee. This was never clearly explained to me as a non-refundable consultation fee at the time of payment. I believed it was a deposit toward services. It was my intention to write this review earlier, but I felt it was important to share my full experience thoughtfully and responsibly. Patients deserve transparency, clarity in pricing, and confidence in the credentials and safety practices of any provider performing invasive surgical procedures. Please do your research.     I went to Dr. Adam Cohlmia to replace an ill-fitting crown placed by another dentist. I was very…read moreclear from the start that the crown's fit, color, size, and position were critical, as I'd been struggling with chewing, talking, persistent facial pain, headaches, and even feeling the old crown pressing against my lip. I trusted Dr. Cohlmia to address these issues, but unfortunately, the experience was both disappointing and deeply upsetting. Dr. Cohlmia removed the old crown, rebuilt my tooth, and placed a permanent crown. While the temporary crown offered some relief, the permanent crown caused immediate problems. My headaches and facial pain returned, the crown was visibly whiter than my natural teeth, and it protruded against my lip. On top of that, it "clanged" against my bottom teeth while chewing and caused me to bite my tongue, leading to significant discomfort. I scheduled a follow-up appointment for an adjustment, and while it helped briefly, the same issues returned within days. When I called for a second adjustment, I had to follow up multiple times before I was seen. During this appointment, Dr. Cohlmia's demeanor had changed drastically. He appeared visibly annoyed, and his tone was dismissive and gruff. He argued with me, repeatedly saying, "I don't know what you're complaining about; the crown looks great." I tried to explain that the issue wasn't about how it looked but how it felt, as I was still in pain, unable to eat normally, and relying on Tylenol to get through the day. Rather than addressing my concerns, Dr. Cohlmia became increasingly hostile. He raised his voice, called my concerns "ridiculous," and sarcastically suggested refunding me, saying, "How about I refund the crown because nothing is wrong with it?" At this point, I felt trapped, embarrassed, and overwhelmed. Dr. Cohlmia was standing over me, visibly angry, and his dismissive attitude left me in tears. The patient rooms lack privacy, so this entire exchange could be overheard by others. When I agreed to the refund just to end the confrontation, he stormed out of the room yelling, "So ridiculous!" My embarrassment only grew when the front desk staff asked me to open my mouth and show my crown to them in front of other patients. To make matters worse, the office couldn't issue the refund that day and refused to provide written confirmation, simply stating I'd receive a check by mail within 30 days. The entire ordeal was humiliating and unprofessional. Dr. Cohlmia's care fell far below any reasonable standard. From dismissing my pain to his unprofessional and aggressive behavior, he showed a lack of compassion, understanding, and basic respect. I trusted him to help me with a difficult situation, but I left feeling worse physically and emotionally. If he wasn't capable of handling this case, he should have said so upfront instead of responding with hostility when the crown required multiple adjustments. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone seeking competent or compassionate dental care.
