This is a horribly run dental office. Go to its other site there are a lot more bad reviews. The owner of smilekrafters has a professional marketing co. Working these reviews manipulating posts and the order they show. He is desperatly trying to hide how badly this place and its other oral surgery office in Whitehall treat there patients.this is a new site only a few reviews. The older site has hundreds of bad review. If your are looking hear because of insurance I PROMISE THERE IS AT LEAST ONE 5 STAR THAT TAKES THE SAME AS THIS PLACE. Call around to four or five star rated offices and ask if they have suggestions. I got one that I can get one bus from ATC that stops almost in front of office. With no need to transfer busses. The same can be done from BTC and ETC. I got my first appointment for exam. 3 days after I called them then i got in to have 9 teeth removed one week after that. They always answer phone and they are busier than these two places. The only excuse for this place is poorly run with lazy employees. read more

Do not go to this place. My daughter was referred here for a root canal. I do not remember the dentist's name (they have a revolving door), but she was treated here. We were given an appointment, drove the hour to get there, and then was told that this was just a basic appointment to see what she needed - even though our dentist spelled out exactly what she needed. We came back over a month later for her root canal. They did the "root" canal, and told us we had to bring her back for the crown. Ok. Scheduled again. We had to reschedule due to inability to get there - then they cancelled two appointments on us. My daughter developed severe pain and an infection in her tooth. Hmmm...How can she have pain when there is no nerve, the root canal was finished...or so we were told. Take her back to our family dentist. The root canal was never finished. They removed NOTHING. Hence the severe pain. I am filing a complaint against them with the Dental Association. I am FURIOUS. If you value your children or your own mouth, go anywhere else but SmileKrafters! Absolutely horrible receptionist in the orthodontics department.. You can never get through when you call and if you choose a call back option it goes through a third party not even in the office. I wanted to reschedule a appointment due to upcoming bad weather and they couldn't get me in for another month thats just unacceptable. When you check out it takes 30 to 45 minutes to get your next appointment i had to leave for work service is so bad please don't go there. I don't have a choice to change orthodontist cause we are locked in. I wouldn't recommend Smilekrafters to anyone read more

I have been taking my children here for about a year because it is the closest pediatric dentist to me.. even thought I drive a hour to get there! I have had a bad experience since the 2nd visit but my daughter was comfortable there with the dentist and the hygienists. Every time you call to make any appointment expect to be waiting on hold for 30 minutes or more before somebody gets on the phone. If you chose the option to have somebody call you back.. well.. nobody ever will! I called there Monday and chose that option and it's Wednesday and I still have not got a call back. I called their yesterday and waited 43 minutes to speak to somebody who told me they couldnt make an appointment for my daughter until the end of December. I explained how she is having a problem and she couldnt offer me anything closer. She told me she could email her supervisor who comes in at 8 AM and I should hear something right away. It's now 1:50 in the afternoon. I just got off of the phone with somebody there after waiting for 41 minutes. She told me she could make me an appointment for the end of December and I told her about my conversation yesterday.. she told me that nobody send an email about my daughter to the supervisor or she would be able to see that. She told me that she would be able to but I wouldnt hear anything about for 24-48 hours. Yah, ok! Also, I have driven all the way their for an appointment that they called me to remind me about.. but when I got their they didnt have my daughter on the schedule. We had to wait over a hour and a half to see a dentist that day! The front end office people at this place are a JOKE! I wouldnt recommend it to anybody! read more

This was my second visit to SmileKrafters and yet another great visit. Due to years of severely grinding my teeth ( no previous dentist diagnosed this) my front teeth were super short with ugly noticeable chips all over. Dr. Andrew restored my smile with beautiful veneers and now my smile is better than ever and I can't stop smiling to show them off! The staff and doctor are amazing. I have been coming here for five years now. Until today 8/19/19. A employee by the name of Jamie was cleaning my teeth with a lot of attitude & hate. I ask her a few questions she ignored me. Than she yelled at me to stay still. I said why are you yelling at me. Her response was If i were yelling everyone in the building will hear me. She was very unprofessional! I went here because there were only two dental offices on my plan. They were actually rated better which is scary. The first time I had a check up and cleaning. My teeth and gums were very sore afterwards but I said maybe it was a new dental hygienist. The second time which was made by me was because I was having pain in my tooth. I saw the xray and noticed I had an infection under the tooth. They refused to give me antibiotics. They said that I had to have a root canal and they could set up an appointment at the end of March. The dentist said if the pain became unbearable, call snd she would get me in sooner. Once again I asked for an antibiotic and she refused because I needed a root canal. It was around Christmas , but I stilled called my insurance company to explain what was going on and to be allowed to see someone else. The case manager said she will make sure it was brought up at the next meeting of the review board which met after Christmas. On the day before Christmas Eve, I found myself unable to eat or drink. I called Smile Krafters and after several calls and voice messages, someone called to tell me they could get me in to see their surge on earlier at the end of Febuary. I explained that I could not eat or drink so I would probably be dead by then. I asked for a referral since they were my dentists office and they said they never give referrals to anyone but their doctors. I mentioned that they could not accommodate me in a reasonable fashion. They refused stating that Febuary was a reasonable amount of time. My next call was to my case worker who said the only watch to get around this was to go to the ER and have them give the referral. I went to the ER. I explained the whole situation. The infection by then had gone to the jaw, cheek etc. It was so bad that my cheek stuck out two to three inches. They gave me morphine and an antibiotic. I would see the oral surgeon the day after Christmas. No eating or drinking for another day. The oral surgeon said the infection was so bad that if he touched one of my teeth at that side, the green infection came out. He said I was lucky it was not in my upper teeth because the infection would have probably been in my brain as well. He said I was on the right antibiotic which I should have been on as soon as it was noticed. He said the tooth the infection was under had in circled the tooth and it now needed to come out. It was taken out and he cleaned out the infection that was visible. He then put an antibiotic on tooth he area. The area healed and tooth infection did go away but I lost a tooth needlessly. It is very strange that tooth hehe his infection must have started shortly after my visit to Smile krafters. If you value your teeth and your piece of mind stay away from here. read more

Absolute chop shop! I took my kids here and they came out telling me they needed all kinds of teeth pulled, root canals and crowns. Little did they know I worked in the orthodontic field my whole life and denied their treatment. Took my kids to my family dentist to find out my one daughter had a cavity in a BABY TOOTH! I would give this place 0 stars if possible. I had an appointment this morning for EXTREME tooth pain. im talking havent slept all night, feeling almost delirious, wanting to rip my tooth out pain. I get in my car on my way there, and my car breaks down. Completely turned off. I call smile krafters as 10:15 to ask if it would be okay if I was 15 mins late due to having to have my fiance come pick me up. The very rude lady on the other end goes "We only give a 15 minute grace period. if you are not here in that time, we will not only cancel your appt, but will also charge a fee for you not showing up." I have been going to smile Krafters for a few years now... The staff is really Pleasant, and they have amazing bedside manner.

Something is not going well here. I was a patient for several years before I completely lost patience. The customer service / answering service is horrific! The voicemail service and automated system has been broken for almost a year!!! They never answer the phone and do not return calls. They do not even confirm your appointment!! Worst customer service !! Also, they have too many patients and too much going on in that place. They over book patients. The place is going down hill. They refused to clean my teeth and sent me home three times. It took me 45 minutes to drive there. Office staff is rude and disrespectful!! Its "neat market" dental office. For as big an office Smile Krafters seems to have -- it takes forever to get an appt. On 3/6/19 I called for an appt due to tooth sensitivity and was told first available appt was Sept.! I sent an email complaining and never heard "boo" for a response. An appt to see a specialist for dental implants consultation -- not the proceedure -- was always at least 3 months wait. When you get an appointment it is always with a different doctor. I have. I recommend anyone to find another dentist!! read more

If you would like to contact your dentist for important appointments, scheduling and or even basic communication with a receptionist then do not go to this location. They never pick up the phone and all you get is a answering machine. After you call and address that you need a call back they never respond either. One week after scheduling appointments for my daughters over the phone, I received a call letting me know that there would not be a dentist in on the day of my daughter's appointment in August, so I would need to reschedule. I then was called the day before my youngest daughter's appointment, after 4pm, letting me know that they didn't accept our insurance so I would need to reschedule her appointment as well (with the general dentist rather than the pediatric one). This was after I gave them my information many weeks before. I called to let them know that they can just cancel, at which time they told me I would need to reschedule or pay a cancellation fee. After reminding the woman on the phone that I was not notified until minutes earlier, they agreed to waive the fee. I will not be making any future appointments with this practice. read more

Smile Krafter front desk admins don't know what they are doing, I just wasted 1 hr and 30 mnts today for nothing, they don't even know how to check an insurance card. waited 1 hr and 30 mnts for them to tell me that they were verifying the insurance information, and that they couldn't do anything until they hear back from the insurance company. why didnt they call me and ask me about the insurance information before hand so I didn't have to waste my time. they are under trained and have no brains to inform the patient of what is going on. they told me to come back another day for the cleaning. are they going to pay for the 1 hour and 30 mnts I just wasted there. I don't even want to give one star! This place needs to be shut down. My son has had braces on for 3 years. Due to them coding things wrong, the insurance company kept declining. Takes to insurance company who stayed if they code it right it will be paid. Smile Krafters NEVER returned my calls nor the insurance companies calls. They are rude, and liars. They swore they would deal with this and get it sorted. My husband spent countless hours on the phone to get this sorted. My poor son is now in so much pain from braces that should have been off almost a year ago. He is getting headaches, gum pain, and can hardly eat. My husband went in to smile krafters yesterday to speak to the office manager. Well, that didn't happen. Receptionist was rude and it turned into a shouting match. They "dismissed" my son as a patient The insurance company called them immediately and told them they need to be professional and any parent with a child in pain and not being taken care of properly would lose their cool. That they have a contract to finish the job they started. The receptionist was semi rude to insurance company. The insurance company told us this is malpractice and we should file against them. Oh and we will! Their place is great, the rooms, tv's etc. impressive! What is not impressive is their customer service. I was charged $125 and still have not received an answer as to why I was charged. My previous dentist never charged me for anything except a cavity. This was for an exam and xrays. I was with my prior dentist 8 years and I only changed dentists because they dropped Aetna. I have called 3 times now over the past 9 days and still no one has had the courtesy to call me back and explain the 125.00 charge. the answering service told me he will email the supervisor directly and I will get a call asap.....it has now been 4 days since, no call! Terrible terrible customer service. Seems like its run by 20 year olds who do not like to call back just text. Other then the above mentioned horrible customer relations, when you are THERE at the office they are professional and organized, they apparently seem to forget you when you leave their office. read more

I would not recommend. Went there to get 2 teeth pulled and left bawling my eyes out and shaking uncontrollably. I had to sit in my car for a while to calm down. My oral surgeon had numbed the area to be worked with. It was a bottom left and bottom right. As he started working on removing them, he kept telling me that I would feel "heavy pressure." So I accepted that on the right side, even though it was more pain than pressure. Then he went to the left side. Same excuse I would feel pressure. No. I felt serious pain. I was kicked my legs for a while thru the pain until i pushed their hands away and ripped out the device holding my mouth open. Then i sat up and just covered my mouth, crying heavily. All they said is that it was almost out and let them finish. So to get it finished I laid back still crying and they got done. The oral surgeon booked it out of there and a nurse cleaned everything up and basically pushed me out. I have had 8 teeth pulled in my life, never had a problem. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis. I am used to pain. I can take it. I only gave one star because I had to choose pick one to leave review. read more

I have been a patient of this practice group for approximately four years. I made an appointment on February 25, 2019 for August 6, 2019 for routine cleaning. I received a text message on Thursday, August 1 and confirmed my appointment via text message. However, on Friday, August 2, 2019 I was informed by SmileKrafters by phone that my appointment was canceled because they do not "haveA hygienist that day." So I thought to myself, "things happen." However, then I was told that I would have to wait until February 2020 for my next appointment. This was not OK so the call center said that they would send a message to Joella the office manager of SmileKrafters on cedar crest and that she would return my phone call and assist me in getting an appointment sooner. She never called. I ended up calling back and ended up with an appointment in November scheduled through the call center. I am in the process of looking for a new dentist. Beware, you may schedule an appointment but it may turn out that you don't have one through no fault of your own. Nobody cares and no one will assist you. read more

Worst service ever seen for orthodontist department. The most earlier emergency appointment you get is after 5 days. They don't pick up the phone and if it's a emergency still you have to leave a message and still no one call you back so we have to keep trying for two days to just get a hold of them and then get your emergency appointment after 5 days. The doctors is really nice but the staff is very rude. I would never recommend to anyone for getting braces from this place. The absolute WORST place in the world. Not one bit of honesty or integrity from this hell hole. It has now been 3 weeks of calling a couple of times a day to get a follow up appointment for my June 19th oral surgery (was there on March 6th and this is the earliest they could get me in), spoke to 3 different people during this time who 'promised' I'd get a return call with 24 hours. This has NEVER happened. They are complete liars, whom also happen to be completely incompetent. I have also tried getting in touch with each individual dentist, leaving emails and voice mails at each of their locations and nothing. Not one single response. I have now been in contact with and filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the American Dentist Association. They are untrustworthy and very unprofessional and I have now made it my mission to completely destroy Smile Krafters and every low-life employee and dentist associated with this hell hole. Dr. Heisler was extremely delicate with drilling and she really impressed me. Joanne is the best and she did the filling and she should be a dentist because she really is that good and I only will schedule an appointment with Joanne and Dr. Heisler! Joanne was able to get the bite perfect the first time and Dr. Heisler returned to examine the post procedural x-ray of the tooth. The woman at the front desk on 12/19/2017 was very nice as well and I would have given 5 stars, however, the receptionist in November entered the wrong information and I was billed for a cleaning on 11/30/2017 and I was there to get my molar filled. Obviously, this didn't occur because a dental hygienist or assistant acting in that capacity insisted that I have my gums checked first as it's their policy. I wasn't too happy with her (don't know her name ) because I'm the patient and I can refuse the treatment and the service I want which is to get a tooth filled which has no filing as this would be the biggest priority. Returned 12/1/2017 for an appointment to get my molar filled and at the most I was 7 minutes late because it's hard to find parking and the assistant took another patient so she should have been able to take me as well but I ended up waiting for 1 hour to be told that the assistant couldn't fill my molar because she had to leave for the day! I never would have returned and given them a second chance if Joanne didn't call me. SmileKrafters is extremely good but the few unprofessional ones turn people away. My boyfriend just went to get crowns on and it was an epic nightmare. He got his explanation of benefits from his insurance company and found out they over charged him a great amount! THE ORTHODONTICS DEPARTMENT HAS THE WORST SERVICE! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS POACE TO ANYONE! They messed up appointments several times, the actual orthodontist does not listen to concerns but rather shrugs them off and says "you're fine". Every time I call no one answers the phone i have to wait about 20 minutes before someone picks up. The front desk is rude. They also messed up my friends teeth, the ortho made a wrong suggestion and she now has a horrible underbite. Go to a real practice this place sucks. My 14yr old son was referred to this dump for a root canal. We were scheduled for a consult with Dr. Sorin which he was ok. Then they scheduled us for the actual root canal 2mths later. After getting the root canal on July 25th, Dr. Sorin told me to follow-up with a General Dentist and sent me on my way. Mind you, they have a general dentist there but again sent me on my way and told me to make an apt soon as possible because the tooth was not protected. I thought that all the work would be done there! Anyway, I contacted several dentist that either was not participating with his insurance, was not taking new patients or appts were several months out. So I called smilekrafters back to find out they had sent an pre-auth before his apt in July but rec'd no response from insurance company. 1st off, why would they send an pre-auth for a crown without the root canal being done? 2nd when were they gonna tell me they did so, never knowing what was going on because I had no follow up appt. 3rd why didn't they let me know what was going on? After all of this, I contacted them, found this out and they sent pre-auth again in August but had no appts until 10-5 smh. Finally got approval for crown, went to appt., sat for 3hrs for tem to tell me when they look on my sons eligibility, it states that he is active but not covered by doctor. They didn't see my son!!! I was LIVID!!! 1st off that was BS because they already had pre-auth. For some odd reason they submit their claims under A+ when they are Smilekrafters. So instead of them seeing him knowing this was the discrepancy on their end, they didn't see my son because they didn't think insurance would pay it. Again, BS because my son previously was seen there twice and they were paid. The office manager (Anna) never once came out, they were on MY cell phone instead of contacting the insurance company on their own. Joel was helping me and then went home for the day before making sure the issue was resolved. I previously spoke to several staff members throughout this entire process. I found the office to be very unprofessional and rude. I had an appointment with a periodontist. The first one was cancelled by the dentist one hour before the appointment time (after I made arrangements to leave work early). I arrived for the rescheduled appointment only to find the dentist had left. When I arrived at the front desk there was no one to be found - after shouting hello hello for 10 minutes someone came out and said I was late (wrong - no one was there to great me) and the dentist left. They were very rude and nasty about it as well. They thought it was a joke that I was upset after traveling 50 minutes to get there to find out he left. Extremely unprofessional. Good Luck in seeing a specialist if you need one. They seem to run their own show and have no sense of how to treat people professionally and with respect. If I could give this negative stars I would, but the system makes me give it at least a one star. They do not even deserve this. Go here only if you like to be treated rudely and laughed at. DO NOT GO HERE if you plan on actually seeing a dentist. Me and my husband have been jerked around over and over with trying to get an appointment at this place. First time I made an appt we had to wait 4 months, once our appt finally came, we walked in to their computers being "down" and the receptionist telling us they can't take appts with the computers not working but they were gonna take down our names and numbers to call back and reschedule within the month. Needless to say, THEY NEVER CALLED BACK!! Once I called them to see what was up they told me I would have to wait another 4 freakin months for an appt. Well, today was the day for our second appt and when I walk in I waited on line for over 10 mins. By the time I talked to the receptionist she informed me if u are over 10 mins late u cannot be seen!! Are you kidding me? This was THEIR FAULT! They had one receptionist working with about 6 other families behind me. Don't waste ur time or gas going to this disaster of a place. Today I gave smilekrafters another chance. I can not believe the dentist that work there. I witness a parent collapse and faint while checking in. The staff was fast in assisting the parent. An employee in regular clothes stated to the staff to call 911 while she went to assist the parent. She was telling other staff what to do So I'm assuming she was the manager or someone with authority, only because the staff listened and followed her orders. She was calm at all times. was able to speak to the mom, get the info she needed and requested supplies needed while she waited for the ambulance to make it to the office. Another person in regular clothes if you call pajamas clothes came out.This ended up being the dentist. The dentist hovered over the mom and told her kids that they should be scared and nervous because it's their mom! She continue to repeat this to the children. Who in their right mind states this to children?! This made me and other parent upset. Not only Us but our children were now scared. The manager wanted to place a pillow under the mom head since doctor asked parent to lay down on the ground. dentist refused this pillow .Another dentist came in and placed the pillow under the parent head. Pajama dentist stated something to the manager. The manager walked away with the other dentist . I give it to his manager and staff. she has my utmost respect she handled the situation great. I heard the manager tell mom that she will follow the ambulance with her children so they are safe and not left alone and scared she continue to tell the kids everything will be fine.which I then watched her take the children with her. I can not give this place any more chances. They have great staff just horrible bedside manner dentist. When I got called back with my child for their appointment this dentist had the nerve to tell staff members negative comments about how they reacted to the situation in front of me . made an appointment for a cleaning, go to the appointment. They take xrays, the dentist comes in and says, ok we'll schedule for a cleaning. Wait, what...I thought that's why I was here. They told me it needed to be submitted to insurance and I'd hear back in 2 weeks. After 3 months of not hearing anything, I call to check the status of my insurance approval. It was approved (with an expensive co-pay). I tey to schedule my cleaning yet again and they tell me it will need to be done in 2 installments because they numb my mouth. My sister told me about smilekrafters. She loves the eniviroment and how quick the manager answers any concerns she may have and how my nieces are always looking for her. They love her.. I can say myself she is exceptional. The girls in the front are good to you can tell they are new. My only concern is exactly what my sister told me.. she told me to pick the one assistant because the other assistant is always rude when speaking she always looks upset and she stinks. I didnt believe my sister, I never had to take my son for fillings. Omg !!!! My sister was right. Never again. I will ask for the other one. I give it 2 out of 5 because they hurt me really bad the staff was not friendly at all and when they started cleaning my teeth the woman starting stabing my mouth with the tool she said i had plaque wish i was a little aware of but she wasnt cleaning she was hurting me really bad and i felt she was pulling ny teeth out (my gums and teeth are really soft because of braces treatment) then she got peace off at me cuz i pulled her hand at that point i was bleading really bad and i was shocking in my own blood because of all the blood in my mouth i wish i could change but my insurance does not covers anywhere else i mention what happen to the doctor and other staff and no one cared YOU ARE NOT SUPPOST TO BLEED WHILE GETTING YOUR TEETH CLEAN read more
