My previous visit here a month ago was to have our newly adopted rescue, Lola, given a checkup as well as figure out how to get rid of her dark tear stains. Dr. Javier prescribed some meds for that problem as well as dental problems way in the back of her little mouth. Lola's follow up appt is on Oct. 17th. Dr. Adulami is wonderful. He is the only vet that can get my dog to cooperate during an exam. He has a very kind and calming demeanor. I highly recommend him. I am not particularly impressed with the two new doctors. They have not exhibited the same level of care and empathy. I cannot say enough good things about Aurora, the receptionist/office manager. I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Adulami for over ten years. On every occasion she has been so helpful and knowledgeable. She goes above and beyond the call of duty such as sending me coupons through the mail for pricey pet medications. I wish every business had someone like Aurora. read more

After 13 years of pet ownership, This is the best vet experience I have ever had!! This is such a great service! How convenient to wait at home for vet instead of in a waiting room, with 2 dogs! Sorry for all of the exclamation points, but I am extremely pleased with my first mobile vet experience! They have a large van with a mobile lab and all of the services that their clinic offers (shots, tests, flea meds, vitamins etc.). I have a very old dog and the vet can be high stress for him, since he wants to play with everyone, but can't get around so well. This was the perfect answer. They gave me a range of when they would arrive (4:30-5:30) and showed up at the early end of that window. They also called 20 minutes before, to let me know the van was on the way! Dr. Avi and his staff are so friendly. I really appreciate the fact that they in no way tried the hard sell of pets products or services. They were knowledgeable, informative and helpful. I will always use Smiling Pets Mobile Vet service for all future visits! read more

We had our first visit to Smiling Pets yesterday. I can't wait to switch all my pets to this veterinarian. Aurora at the front desk greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. The tech who weighed my senior dog was super gentle and patient. I took my doogy there yesterday. The doctor told me he had cancer like he was giving me the time of day over the phone. No empathy. I was devastated. Dr. Iglesias didnt have the decency to come out and give me the terrible news in person.Sure I understad covid, keeping distance and wearing protection like I was, could have allowed him to talk to me like a compassionate human being. The secretary had no problem coming out twice with the tablet, to take my credit card right from my hand. Not going back there. Also very disorganized. A terrible experience. Cold as ice. Inhumane. I have been taking my 8 month old German Shepherd to this clinic since he was 2 months old. Although I had some issues with their high prices and pushing extra costs unto me, I am a new pet owner and I trusted that they were professionals at their job. However, this last incident was the last straw. My GSD hurt himself playing, hi would not walk on his left hind leg and kept yelping when touched. I called the vet immediately and they recommended I wait overnight and take a course of action in the morning. I recognize that me waiting overnight was my decision, however, it was heavily influenced by the words of a "professional". In the morning my dogs leg had swelled up and I called the vet again, they mentioned I could leave my dog and the Doctor would look at him in between appointments or after his morning appointments when he could, as he was booked. I described the swelling and the yelping, and I even asked if this was something that is better suited for a hospital. The staff said that I should not worry because the doctor would be able to look at him and proceed if anything was necessary in terms of x-rays or medication. After waiting almost five hours, the doctor calls me, he has not taken any x-rays, and tells me he does not know if it is a sprain or a fracture, so I should take him to the hospital, but he will give him pain medication. (Of course anything to add additional charges and get more money). So after waiting all those hours I got charged a consult for something that a competent nurse SHOULD have told me, plus the pain medication (which obviously was not cheap). I will not be returning and will try to steer people away from this unprofessional establishment. read more

The doctor has done a credible job for our animals, we take all of our pets a total of 5 dogs over the last several years to them with good results. And more importantly, recently we had a dog that we were thinking because he is 14 years old that is some onset seizures that we needed to put him down, fortunately the doctor correctly diagnose the issue, put him on a new diet and he's doing great now.. read more

Sure the staff is friendly, but after years of paying and the continuing issues about my dogs skin; I realized that I needed a second opinion! The doctor would wait for me to make recommendations of what worked for my dog and what didn't. They have been seeing my dog for 4-5 years total and no resolved issues about her skin in the past 2. We did 1 allergy test, and $150 later I never received the report just told the cause, as an after thought! My dog has been a senior dog for at least 2 years now, and no senior blood panel was ever done. We went to a new vet, who wanted to know where all the rest of my dog's records were? They didn't want to bad mouth anyone but it was obvious they had questions as why I had been loyal for so long! All I can say is don't get complacent, our pets don't have spare years to wait for us to find the right Vet! read more

Awful experience! For me and my chow... I was walking my chow, and a cat passed us by. Long Story short. My chow pulls so hard, she rans after the cat and i cant keep up with them. After walking a couple blocks, i found a couple people trying to get her. I explained what happened and that i am the owner. They tell me that they work at smiling pets and that they want to take her to the office "to make sure shes alright and give her some water". (By the way my chow looks happier than ever). After some waiting they give her water and some cookies and then they weight her and they tell me that shes very skinny and that she needs to eat better, and oooohhh surprise... they sell homemade food for dogs! After one hour or more They wanted to charge me for the check up ! What check up!? They were pushing alll this meds on me and the homemade food! I would never take my dog to them! Yao a few blocks north is a real vet clinic! read more

I liked this place. They took last minute appointments. The doctor was very nice, he gave me lots of options and the staff was very caring. I also did not wait more than 10 minutes. I had to bring my dog in because of an ear infections and hot spots due to allergies. It ended up being a $300.00 visit but I got a lot of stuff plus tick and flea treatment, heart worm test and medication for it. I have spent more other places for the less. When I was there they added my dog to their system and took a picture of him and everything. They also called after to check up and sent an ID card for my dog in the mail. I thought that was pretty awesome. My new favorite vet. read more

I was looking to change vets, and I figured I would give Smiling Pets a try. So, when my dog needed to have his teeth cleaned, I scheduled an appointment with the mobile clinic. Since the procedure required anesthesia, I was told to keep my pup away from water and food beginning the night before the appointment. The staff informed me that they would be at my house sometime between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm, possibly earlier. I even called the morning of the appointment, just to confirm the time. After hours of just waiting around with a very grumpy, hungry dog, they finally called me around 1 pm saying they were running late and wanting to reschedule for the next day. I didn't want my dog to go through any stress again as he's old, and I also had work, so I explained to them that I wouldn't mind waiting. Two hours later, I call them wondering where they are, only to be asked to reschedule again. At that point, I was through. In short, their service was unreliable and unprofessional. Dr. Avi is a very nice, calm mild mannered doctor & he showed me all the tests done on my cat. i was surprised how fair the prices were! i have gone to other vets and felt like i was being pressured into extra unnecessary services. NOT THE CASE HERE! Also the mobile service comes right to your door & it was alot less stressful on my geriatric cat, but even when i did have to take her into the office it was still a pretty great. mobile service is really convenient & Dr Avi truly loves animals. it shows in his bedside manner A+++! read more

Smiling pets is the best experience I have ever had with a Vet service!! Today my Schnauzer Jenny was ill with a bad stomach, needless to say it would have been a problem bringing her into a clinic, Dr Avi and his staff did a house call with a beautiful state of the art mobile van with air conditioning and lab on sight. Dr Avi is a very pleasant mild mannered Dr. I was worried that the prices were going to be outrageous and I was pleasantly suprised by the reasonable price and the down to earth treatment of Dr. Avi, no scare tactics to make more money, my dog needed a simple antibiotic, which he had on sight .
