I ordered a suit and a custom white dress shirt for my husband for our wedding. Sam met us at our house in Ogden in February and measured my husband for the suit and we were able to pick every little detail that we wanted. We had the suit rushed and paid an extra $150 to do so in order to have it ready for our wedding in April. We were told the white dress shirt could not be rushed however, and we were fine with that. In March we were given the suit and it looked great but that was the last I heard from True Gentleman. By May, when I hadn't heard anything about the white dress shirt I texted Sam to find out what was going on. He gave me excuse after excuse of why the shirt wasn't done and then eventually stopped writing me back or answering my phone calls. In July I emailed True Gentleman since that is their only form of contact on their website. After numerous emails without a response I finally messaged them on Facebook and threatened them with a bad review and then I immediately heard back. Trapper told me that I would be getting a refund check and asked for my address. A month and a half later I still didn't have a check. I emailed again and Trapper told me the check would be written and sent that day. Two weeks later I still didn't have a refund check. I email again and Trapper told me he did send a check in the mail and it had been cashed. This guy had an excuse for everything. We did eventually get a refund 7 months after I ordered the shirt but in the process I was repeatedly ignored, disrespected, and taken advantage of. I was given the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We love the suit but we will never use True Gentleman again.

After I originally posted this review, Trapper reached out to harass me about my critical feedback. This is what you sign up for when you purchase here: a business novice who cannot assume blame for communication lapses and untimely product delivery. Judging from other reviews I might be in a minority of purchasers, but I highly doubt it. Professionalism is not the strong suit of this business, and especially not something Trapper values. Communication was untimely, often leaving me waiting over 24 hours to hear back from the owner. Delays being a common theme here, my suit was over 3 weeks late, resulting in me and my then fiancée having to push back the shoot date for our bridal pictures. As recompense, I was comped a shirt that I was promised would be here for my wedding day. I was left scrambling to find a shirt for my wedding when I was informed 3 days before it wouldn't be here on time. In fact, it was also 2-3 weeks late. I was home from my honeymoon by that point, which is when Trapper ignored texts and then began a rather uninventive story about how he would be closing down TGSC, something that worker Cole claimed was not happening. Obviously it isn't going out of business, based on the email promotion I recently got. When you spend $1500+ for a suit, you deserve better treatment than this. The suit was beautiful, but not worth the stress and not worth being treated poorly. Trapper is not a decent businessman and does not value your business. You are an inconvenience to him. If you're looking for a suit do yourself a favor and just go to Hugo Boss.

Next, we were told we would be able to alter my husbands suit if we wanted any changes made during our first round of alterations. After being assured there would be no charge, we were told it would be $134. With it being a custom suit it was already expensive (we payed $500) and time was ticking until our WEDDING DAY! They quit responding to calls, emails and had our jacket that we had payed for. We demanded a refund for it all and they decided to charge us $74 dollars for the alterations (that they said they would cover) at that point it was too close to our wedding to try and find something that worked. I wont be using, referring ANYONE to this company. Don't waste your time and money. Halli and Lauren were not honest and that speaks volumes.

Didn't feel pressured to go outside of my budget at all. Well the experience was so good I bought the suit I had designed and canceled the other appointments. A few weeks later everything was ready and they were able to hold my suit and shirt until I could come back and try it on. Well the suit and shirt fit perfect, with no additional alterations needed. Didn't notice any issues with stitching or loose threads and I have to say it's the best suit I've ever worn. Materials definitely live up to the price point. The additional details really made it a nice touch not just for me but my wife as well. If I ever need a suit I'll make the flight to come out here.
