They never made me feel rushed or judged, and they took the time to make sure my dog felt as comfortable as possible. You can tell they're not just skilled at what they do--they truly love what they do. Every interaction felt thoughtful and intentional, and their professionalism gave me so much confidence that my dog was in the best hands. It's not easy to find a vet team that balances expertise with compassion this well, but Dr. Ables and his staff absolutely do. I'm beyond grateful and wouldn't trust anyone else with my dog's care. Highly, highly recommend.

Everyone was very sweet and good with him. We literally were able to call and walk him in with no appointment. They brought us through a side door because he was not a happy dog at the time and they put him in his little room. He had to be sedated and his fur had to be shaved. I thought this was gonna cost us close to a couple thousand dollars, but it did not. It was not as expensive and I've always been super skeptical about going to a veterinarian because I feel like some of them will take advantage of your sick pup, but this place did not. They seem pretty honest. They helped my dog and took really good care of him. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for an honest pet hospital.

My interactions with Alyssa were frustrating; I found her communication to be rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, which made an already stressful situation more difficult. During a visit with my boyfriend and our dogs, I also felt uncomfortable with comments made toward my boyfriend that I considered inappropriate. At the same time, I felt my concerns were not addressed respectfully as a client. Additionally, I observed behavior that concerned me, including what appeared to be a staff member ending a call abruptly and then making inappropriate remarks about a client to another employee. This raised concerns for me about professionalism at the front desk. The front desk is the first point of contact for clients, and I expect clear, respectful, and professional communication. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously. While I appreciate the veterinary care provided, I believe the client service experience needs improvement. Based on my experience, I will not be returning and would be hesitant to recommend this clinic.

We are beyond heartbroken and devastated over the care our English Bulldog, Tank, received at this…read moreclinic. He was clearly suffering--and the clinic was aware, as I repeatedly communicated his condition through both phone calls and in-person visits. This all began after Tank was placed under anesthesia at this clinic on 2/12/26 for a dental cleaning and the removal of his front teeth. From that point forward, his health steadily declined. He began losing hair profusely and developed severe itching. We brought him back in, and Dr. Nathalia prescribed medication that had no effect. After over a week with no improvement, we returned, only to be given the exact same medication again, despite it not helping the first time. As Tank's condition worsened--his hair loss continuing and his face beginning to swell--we sought help at the Corona 24-Hour Emergency Hospital. There, he was diagnosed with a severe yeast infection and was prescribed prednisone and antibiotics for 14 days. After completing that treatment, I spoke with Dr. Silveria and explained everything Tank was experiencing. At that point, his condition was alarming--he had a strong, foul odor, was not eating or drinking, was shivering constantly, and could barely urinate. Watching him suffer like that was unbearable. Her response was, "Oh, he's doing this to himself," which was deeply upsetting and dismissive given the severity of his condition. When I asked about his symptoms, I was told they were due to the yeast infection. However, I felt strongly that something more serious was going on. Despite this, I was reassured that an itch medication would resolve everything and was told, "I guarantee that within 48 hours Tank will be back to his normal self." I was also instructed to continue hand-feeding him. There was no urgency, no further diagnostics, and no indication that his condition might be critical. That improvement never came. Instead, Tank continued to deteriorate. His condition worsened day by day, the foul odor intensified, and he remained in visible pain and distress. Tank did not deserve this. He deserved to be heard, properly evaluated, and treated--especially by a veterinarian who had cared for him since he was a puppy. His condition rapidly declined, and he passed away from sepsis on 3/25/26. I will never forget the pain he endured or the helplessness we felt, trusting guidance that ultimately failed him when he needed real care the most. I cannot shake the feeling that his suffering was dismissed and that more could have been done if his symptoms had been taken seriously. That trust was broken in the worst possible way, and now our dog is gone. I am sharing this so other pet owners will advocate strongly for their animals and seek a second opinion if something does not feel right. No one should ever have to go through this kind of loss, wondering if more could have been done.

I'm new to the area and have been very stressed dealing with my dog's declining condition. The staff member who helped me (I believe her name was Jessi or Jessica) was incredibly kind and compassionate. Even though they were close to closing, she took the time to listen to my concerns and understand the situation. Unfortunately there wasn't a veterinarian available to see my dog, but she still went above and beyond to help. She suggested several nearby clinics and even helped call them to check for appointment availability. Because of her help, I was able to secure an appointment without having to rush to an expensive emergency clinic. I truly appreciated her kindness and willingness to help during such a difficult time. Even though I've never brought my dog here before, this experience alone made a very positive impression on me. If I adopt another dog in the future, I would definitely consider bringing them to New Haven Animal Hospital.
