Ugly scarring with weird lining? Not just a straight line.

I had a breast augmentation done here in June 2025. It was my second BA; I was going from over the muscle to under the muscle. The results themselves look great. I think they look very natural and recovery was easy. The reasons for the 3 star review is because I do not like my scarring. My first BA the scarring was minima and in a straight small line. This scarring has like circles at the end and it looks like my stitches pokes out from my skin. At my 3rd post op appointment I pointed this out to the nurse who told me that the stitches dissolve and I need to massage them. Well months have gone by with DAILY massage and they look the same. I can literally feel the stitches still in there. Ugly scarring. The 2nd reason for the review is because he has a gigantic package of paperwork to fill out before hand with weird questions asking if you've ever sued a plastic surgeon and tons of other weird questions. The 3 rd reason for the review is because I wanted another procedure done, lipo, so I called to make and appointment. When I called, the lady on the phone mentioned that I had previously left a review for smiths because their wait time was 2 hours every single time I went. I thought it was extremely unprofessional for her to mention this especially because I had deleted the review after speaking to the doctor. After that interaction, I ended up going to another plastic surgeon in town and wait time was always under 30 minutes and he had very simple preop paperwork. Very different experience from smith.

Smith Plastic Surgery exceeded my expectations in every way. I'm from Texas and was nervous about traveling for my procedure, but Valerie helped me set up my consultation and answered all my questions so patiently. She explained the whole process in a way that made me feel comfortable and confident about making the trip. Edit: the leg compression garments are the same exact brand, look the same ......Exactly as the ones you sold me and retail for 29.99 No excuses! Your response is complete crap. There was no mention of lymphatic massage until after my second surgery, when I had a different girl that gave it to me straight. NEWER EDIT: I just received an email from Yelp that Lane Smith's office complained about this review and tried to have it removed. This review is not libel nor defamatory. My statements about Lane Smith's persona are my opinion, but events stated in this review are fact. EDIT: The office mgr responded to this review within seconds of leaving it. This guy is obsessed with his image, and it shows. Learn to accept criticism and do better. Females, this man is demeaning and disrespectful. If you read no further, that is all you need to know. Find a different surgeon. I was a patient in 2014 and 2015. I have previously left a review of my bad experience with Lane Smith, which was met with a snarky response by the office manager threatening to upload before and after photos - nude photos! - to Yelp. I immediately deleted the review because that is a disgusting threat from a medical provider. I don't even have social media or post my own photos let alone having a surgeon threatening posting them. I happened across his page again, and I still feel that my experience needs to be heard. I had a BBL done by Lane Smith in 2015. I was told I needed to gain 15 lbs in order to complete the procedure. This should have been the first red flag. Fast forward to after the surgery, I was in extreme pain and had trouble breathing. He ordered a chest x-ray to rule out pulmonary embolism. I wish he would have further investigated -- I ended up with heart failure, and I could have died on his operating room table. However, that isn't the point of this review. At my follow up appointment for the BBL, I told Lane Smith that I was unhappy with the results as I felt my stomach looked a bit deformed. He responded to me that I had body dysmorphia. I insulted his work, so he was quick to insult me. After leaving that appointment, I knew I would never go back to this guy for anything, even if I had already paid $20k and I wasn't happy with the results. 10 years later, I have noticed other issues that arose from my surgeries with this guy. This man gives other surgeons a bad name. Also, Desiree, before you come at me, you should reconsider your values and priorities in life. You work for a demeaning human and by default are just as guilty of his egregious behavior by being complicit. I have two daughters now, and if anyone ever speaks to them in the demeaning, disrespectful way that Lane Smith treats his patients (who provide him with his cush lifestyle), they will answer to me.

The office response is a prime example of the gaslighting I experienced here. Facts are I was lied to about revision pricing in my initial consult & after surgery about how my completely uneven saggy boobs looked perfect and the drs bedside manner is severely lacking. I'm satisfied now but it took 3 procedures in 18 months and $20k + time off work healing so definitely not pleased with the experience and in hindsight I would not have chosen this surgeon. ---------- Desiree: Please look up the definition of gaslighting. I'm tired of you twisting the narrative. I get that it's your job to make the surgeon look good so no hard feelings but let's not pretend here. 1. Aside from looking terrible, the implants were not placed correctly the first two times causing sagging, discomfort and they made embarrassing noises. 2. I did pay full price for a lift and implants. More than $20k which is 2x as expensive as the next local competitor with better feedback. 3. It shouldn't take a board certified plastic surgeon THREE attempts to get it right.

I have one little man nipple and one nipple that is confused. Both are numb with no response to cold or touch. I use to have sexy lady momma nipples, both were on the same page. Some times they were national geographic and they sometimes shrunk up like porno nips but Now they are lost causes. So sad and depressing. Why? I don't understand... I think there's too many patients and pumping out all these surgeries is causing a lack of communication. Still trying to pay off the hugggge bill and looking for another surgeon to fix this train wreck.

Rhinoplasty and revision by Dr. Lane Smith (see pictures for results) sadly, a pollybeak deformity has been confirmed by other surgeons.

Lane Smith is very professional and makes you feel at ease with every visit. Leaving you with a positive feeling before your surgery and after , he knows what hes talking about and will answer any questions you may have. Anytime an anesthesiologist can make you calm and laugh while on the operating table you know you're in good hands, Dr Crowley is just that , thank you !. Having my first consultation with Dr. Smith I was a little nervous, wasn't really sure what to expect or if I would be comfortable! Sitting in the lobby area waiting to go back I instantly knew before meeting him I had made the right decision. He is beyond amazing at what he does and has the certificates and accomplishments to prove so! Once meeting with him he made me feel very comfortable , he knew what he was talking about , and above all was 100% honest! There was no sugar coating he gave it to you like it was and I appreciated that above all! During surgery (under local) he constantly was asking if I was ok and making sure I didn't need anything or have any issues! His staff is absolutely wonderful. All of the girls are extremely nice, comforting and you can tell they truly care! If I had questions or concerns they made sure they helped me to the fullest so that I was ok and what I needed was met! My scars are invisible and the job exceeded my expectations! I will definitely be returning to undergo more procedures with Dr. Smith and HIGHLY recommend you see him for ALL plastic surgery needs! Thank you all so so much!! read more

It has been about 3 months since I got my breast augmentation done and HANDS DOWN I preach about Dr. Smith's office! Dr. Smith, the anesthesiologist and whole staff are so welcoming and friendly with utmost professionalism. They have exceeded my expectations and I love the new me! In a million years I never thought I would actually go through with my surgery. After my initial consultation with Dr. Lane Smith, I was ready to put down my entire payment. So far the results are beautiful, I had the most comfortable surgery possible, and I wouldn't take back any of my choices! The girls at the front are so helpful.. they put up with my whining, fears, and million and one questions! Dr. Smith is so knowledgable and I appreciate the time he took to educate me on my surgery before ever even mentioning scheduling an appointment or setting a date. Dr. Smith is very knowledgable about every procedure and that is why I chose him in the end. After seeing so many girls at work with their breast augmentations still looking amazing after quite sometime he was the first surgeon and the only surgeon I went to see for a consult before I chose him. he's very passionate in his work and his credentials are phenomenal. Only thing I dislike but do understanding because he likes to spend time with each and every one of his clients is that when you have an appointment you'll be waiting for quite sometime before you even get in the room. My appointment was at 11:00 and it is now 11:30 and still haven't been called back . The whole point of an appointment in my eyes is to be able to have an exact time so that you're able to plan out your day accordingly. My last appointment was at 9:45 I was waiting to speak to dr. Smith for 2 hours . Didn't get out until about 1:30 .. Only spoke to him for about 20 mins. That's kind of ridiculous to me. Other then that he's an amazing surgeon and I love my results. Dr. Crowley the anesthesiologist was amazing. Seriously sooo painless and don't even remember knocking out LOL . Don't even remember him administering the anesthesia.. Crazy procedure felt like 5 mins literally and little no no pain when I awoke. read more

I recently got a buttock augmentation in August. Dr Smith had great reviews and I noticed that not many Dr's do that surgery in Vegas. Dr Smith always took his time with me. The surgery was a huge success and I've never been happier. After surgery Dr Smith checked in with me plenty and made sure I had all the medications I needed to stay pain free. I can't imagine going to another Dr. Any future surgeries I get will definitely be with Dr Lane Smith. I have no complaints. I recommend him to all my friends. read more

I opted to wait until the 3 month mark post surgery before writing a review. Whenever one has cosmetic surgery, it takes time to recover and see how things really settle. That being said, my whole experience has been a pleasant one. Dr. Smith and his team are the most professional and honest team I have come across in Las Vegas. I had gotten the opinions of other surgeons prior to choosing Dr. Smith. Ultimately my decision to choose Dr Smith was based on his skill, knowledge, and honesty. I had a complicated case, and he was confident in not only improving it, but doing so with minimal scarring. He was very honest about what I could expect and gave me different options. The surgery is obviously a very vital part of good results, but so is being diligent about the aftercare. I was provided information to achieve the best result. The entire staff is well informed and supportive. Everyone from the surgical team to the receptionists. I'm so much more confident after my surgery. I can't believe I waited so long! But I'm glad I did, and that I chose this Dr. Upon meeting him I knew he was the Dr. for me. Five stars on every angle! read more

Dr Smith and his staff are absolutely amazing. From start to finish he took care of me and continues to do so with his after care. Any concerns or questions him and his staff are on top of it very quickly and get you in to see Dr. Smith if need be. His anesthesiologist is wonderful as well. I was called before and after surgery by multiple people and I was so at ease from start to finish. Now for his work... He is an artist. I had a tuberous deformity and my breast are now perky and beautiful. I know it may sound vain but living with what I had before in my early 20's is tough and he gave me my confidence. I am so thankful I found Dr. Smith and his incredible staff. I visited multiple plastic surgeons in the area, and none compared to Dr. Smith. His expertise, honesty, and down to earth personality truly sets him apart from others. The staff is so compassionate and considerate. They were always patient to answer all my questions and address all my concerns. A few days before surgery Dr. Crowley called me and prepared me for the big day. He was extremely kind, and comforting. Surgery day I was greeted by the nurse Constance, who took great care of me. It has been three weeks post-op, and I couldn't be happier with the results! But after consulting with a couple other drs then consulting with him, it only reaffirmed my decision that he was who I wanted to go with. My experience with Dr. Smith and all of his staff was exceptional! Everyone was extremely knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and made me feel completely comfortable! My breasts were very saggy after having two children and weight gain and loss over the years. Also, one breast was quite a bit larger than the other. I had a Mastopexy to lift the breasts and implants to even out the size. I could not be happier with the results! Dr. Smith saw me the day after surgery, at one week, and one month to make sure that I was healing well. I would highly recommend Dr. Smith to anyone considering plastic surgery. A big thank you to the whole team for a wonderful experience! Of course I was nervous, but Dr. Smith and Dr. Crowley made me feel very much at ease about my procedures. I'm only 6 days post op and I still have my cast on my nose, but I am so excited to see my results! It takes about 6 months to about a year for the nose to shrink down to its final size. I recommend this place to anyone who is thinking about getting a cosmetic procedure. Dr. Smith is absolutely amazing! He was the 1st surgeon I went to for my Brest Augmentation consultation. And I knew after my consultation that he was the Dr. I wanted to do my surgery. & I'm a very picky girl! So that's a lot to say. Before I went to him, I checked out all his work online. And I LOVED, that he had so much of his work displayed on his website. I can honestly say no other plastic surgeon that I was searching for in Las Vegas has as much work displayed as he does. And amazing!! work at that. That defiantly drew me in to wanting to meet with him! He's extremely professional! And definitely exceeded all of my expectations! I'm now 5 weeks post op and going into my appts Dr. Lane Smith really takes his time with his patients and is so friendly! & That's exactly why I know I made the right decision choosing him to do my surgery. And even if I moved out of state I would still go to Dr. Lane Smith for future procedures. I do model full time, so I had to make sure I had the best of the BEST, out there to do my surgery. And Dr. Lane Smith is just that! I highly recommend him for any procedures! You will absolutely love your outcome! I've felt nothing but comfortable with him since I first met him at my consultation, and I think that's so important when finding your plastic surgeon. The staff at his office is also very professional & so friendly! Every time I have called their office they have always helped me with anything I needed and were so nice about it! Dr. Smith is a very talented surgeon and a great doctor. I conducted a significant amount of research prior to having my upper lip procedure, and he came highly recommended. He did not disappoint! I am 45yrs old and have had three children. After dieting, my stomach looked horrible! :( I went to multiple (4) surgeons to get several quotes. Dr. Smith was not the cheapest!!! BUT, my surgery went AWESOME! I was immediately satisfied! Now I am approaching 6months post-surgery and it keeps getting better and better! I never thought I would see a bikini again and I will MOST DEFINATLY be wearing one this summer!! :) My husband was nervous and really didn't want me to do this surgery (said he loved me the way I am :) but after surgery, our private life has reached a whole new level. He & I are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY with my results. The office staff was GREAT, unfortunately, my mom was terminally ill and I had to literally board a plane the day my tube & sutures were removed. Any time I needed an answer to a question, my husband would take a picture and detail an email and the response was almost IMMEDIATE. If I ever need another procedure DR SMITH will be the ONLY one to EVER touch me! LOVE HIM AND HIS WORK!! Thank you all for everything you did for me!!! For me, it was MUCH more than the physical appearance, it was my personal self confidence and being able to now LOVE my body!!!! YAY ME!! :) read more

Dr. Smith did my necklift a couple years ago but due to unforeseen complications I had afterwards, I wasn't completely satisfied with my results. He recently did a revision, and instead of just tightening the skin a bit more, he re-did the entire procedure for only $1000 and I'm super happy with how it turned out! My experience with Dr. Smith was wonderful! From the initial consultation to the follow up appts, he really makes you feel comfortable and explains everything in details. Dr. Smith puts you at ease and is very passionate about his work. He truly cares about his patients and the results we are looking for. I had a breast augmentation 2 months ago and had a hematoma which resulted in a 2nd surgery. Dr. Smith was on vacation and flew back home on a Saturday for my procedure. I am truly thankful for this. Professional, classy, compassionate, attentive, affordable, courteous....and most importantly...AMAZING results! I cannot say enough about Dr. Smith and his wonderful staff! I had several friends and coworkers go to him and all of them were beyond pleased with their results. I saw first hand the gifted work that Dr. Smith does and was beyond impressed! I had no doubts he would be the surgeon for me. I felt so comfortable upon meeting Dr. Smith at my first consultation and left there feeling confident and truly entrusted in Dr. Smith that the he would do an amazing job with my mastopexy (breast lift with reduction) and outer thigh liposuction. Jessica did a wonderful explaining all costs up front and the nice thing is they have great financing options that make it completely affordable. I have had several surgeries throughout my life, and have never had as pleasant an experience as I did here, This team rocks! Heidi, my pre-op nurse is so sweet, caring and personable. Dr. Crowley, the anesthesiologist, provided me with the most comforting, calming, assuring anesthesia experience ever! BBL We're all looking to get that Kim Kardashian,J.lo booty right? Well at least in my case .. I was. A couple years back I was doing my research for the perfect booty dr. & since a couple of my aunts are into plastic surgery I decided to ask them for their opinion. They recommended a really popular plastic surgeon in tj (I will not mention his name but he has done my aunts surgeries,Jenny Rivera & a couple other famous Latina celebrities) anyways so I thought I found the perfect dr After doing my research and finding out he was going to have his own plastic surgery show I thought yes this is the dr who will opperate me. I decided to get glute implants long story short they had to be removed within 3 weeks after my surgery. I was devastated and my glutes were flatter than going into surgery I thought I ruined myself. I was left with nothing but regret .. I decided to look into someone in Las Vegas so I did a consultation with dr smith and he made me feel comfortable and hopeful that my glutes would look at least normal again. I decided to go through with the BBL.. Let me tell you Dr.Smith hands down is the best in Las Vegas! My glutes are nice and round and perky! I look 100% better and am way more confident. He did his job so well it looks so real (most bbl's by other dr's tend to look fake) but he is the best looks so natural. I would recommend him to anyone looking for any type of plastic surgery!! I had my first experience with Dr. Smith's team , had a rhinoplasty done and vaginoplasty , everybody was friendly and professional , the anesthesiologyst was super kind and did a great job , I did not experience any type of side effects after , rhinoplasty not painful at all , had been slightly bruised but that went away really quick , in about 3 days , soreness after vaginoplasty gone in 4-5 days , overall everybody did an amazing job and I cannot wait to see the final results since im 8 days post op. I saw Dr. Smith for a mommy makeover, which is abdominoplasty and a breast augmentation. In my case, I needed a breast lift as well. Dr. Smith made me feel comfortable and gave great recommendations without trying to pressure me into anything. Dr Lane Smith Is AWESOME! He really is one skilled doc! I had lipo in my mid section and back and then fat transfer to my buttocks/hips on August 4, 2015 and I couldn't be happier! My confidence level has sky rocketed and my booty looks so cute. My new hips and my thinned out mid area make me look soooo curvy! I had NOTHING going on in my buttocks area but now I have a little bubble butt just as I asked for, thanks Dr Smith! I look great in my body forming clothes, and I LOVE to shop now. I will NEVER have to wear another pair of padded underwear again and I praise you Dr Smith for that! Can you imagine the false advertising I was putting out there? I had several consultations before my breast lift/augmentation 3 years ago, but I was blown away at Dr. Smith's amazing portfolio of work. No other portfolios had as many beautiful and consistent results, so I knew without a doubt he was the Dr. for me! I've also received botox and laser hair removal from his med-spa Chic La Vie. I've been so thrilled with the results of my breast aug, that I recently also had a Brazilian butt lift the results of which I am also ecstatic. Dr. Smith has an extremely busy office, but he makes sure that all of your questions are answered, and does his very best to manage patient expectations. Dr. Crowley (anesthesiologist) and the rest of Dr. Smith's staff are also super friendly, helpful, and patient. Dr. Crowley's pre-op phone call is extremely thorough and helps you mentally prepare for surgery day! I'd also really like to thank Heather, Dr. Smith's PA for going above and beyond and taking the time out of her holiday weekend to help me refill a prescription as I was running low on pain meds. I have waited a very long time to finally write this review. I wanted to really be sure I wanted…read moreto share my less than optimal experience. It'a a long one, sorry. I had a breast lift and implants back in Dec 2017; done by Dr. Sohn. My consult was great and him and his staff made me so excited I made right decision. After a couple days post-op, one of my nipples started turning black and actually was falling off. They didn't seemed concerned about it but it was absolutely disgusting and it got very infected; but, thank goodness it slowly started "healing." I say it that was because it did not heal very well and the scarring was hideous. My nipples were also very uneven and not pointing straight. In the first week I let them know that I was having what seemed some not normal pain on the side of my right breast. They said things we just tender and it would subside. Weeks, months, a year and half go by and it was still hurting. On top of all that, all my incision scars looked like someone took a dull knife and hacked away at my breast. My scars were very wide, very bumpy, and very dark - despite following doctor's specific post-op recovery measures to a T. I couldn't even look at my breast in the mirror without wanting to cry for over a year and a half. I looked mutilated. I finally went back to Dr Sohn with my concerns of the scars and pain. At first, he was extremely defensive and said they didn't look bad at all. We point blank asked him, "can you seriously look at my breasts and be PROUD of your work?" He finally agreed they needed revisions, and he would address the pain issue as well. I went in for another surgery for the scar revisions and the pain issue. Within the first week I could tell that the pain in my right breast was worse. I brought this up and they told me, again, to give it time. I also noticed very early on that my implants were now not level - left being higher. Also was told to give it time. My scars didn't look much better either. Week after week I went in for follow ups with no change or progress, still uneven, still in pain, and scars just looking horrendous. They offered ultrasound therapy doe the pain; but after months of that I got no relief. They gave me plenty of drugs to try to manage the pain but I had no interest in popping oxy on the regular or for the long term. I brought my concerns to the office manager and all I was offered was a referral for pain management or a consult with doctor Hankins. After paying for two surgeries already, I wasn't about to go into a third at the same Practice. And a referral for pain management for damage their doctor caused? It's just unacceptable in my opinion. After three and half years and tens of Thousands of dollars later, I am still in constant pain and have disfigured breast. I'll have to live with this the rest of my life unfortunately. Do yourself a favor and seek consults with multiple surgeons, read reviews, ask around - don't settle and don't end up like me. Thanks for "listening."

After surgery I swelled, Bad. I retained enormous amounts of fluid. And even with rest, Pineapple, massage and faha I could not get rid of it. Thats not the worst part. My stomach NEVER healed. It's been 3 years and my stomach still looks deformed, like there's a live alien inside. I'm an avid Yogi, Pilates and Kaleistenics practitioner and there's nothing (natural) that can fix it. I work really hard to flatten my belly but no matter what I do, it still looks deformed. I was very vocal and communicative around the problem. I was advised to wait for the results. It took 9 months before I was able to go back to yoga. I went on Ozempic to lose the weight. It worked! But still the Alien belly. My belly button is 2 inches to the right (way off center) and what was smooth and pretty on the outside is now rough and bumpy. I used to have a 6 pack before the baby. So with the surgery, yoga, pilates etc yes, I am expecting my body back, still fighting to get it right. Recently, I reached back out for answers (I thought it was intentional) because it's beyond anything I can do and I don't want to go under again, ever. Any suggestions on what to do next???

Check-in was simple and quick, and after only waiting a few minutes, it was my turn. My esthetician was Jennifer, a Korean girl who was very gentle and patient in explaining every step, including cleansing, the Hydrafacial treatment, blackhead extraction, facial mask, and sunscreen application. Since it was my first Hydrafacial, I had quite a few questions, and she answered all of them patiently. There was also a neck massage during the treatment. Jennifer frequently checked in with me and adjusted the machine based on my feedback, although honestly I didn't feel any discomfort the entire time. The whole Hydrafacial session lasted about 60 minutes. Jennifer suggested that next time I could try the 90-minute treatment, which includes not only the 60-minute Hydrafacial but also serums and LED light therapy. Overall, it was a really great experience. The facial treatment was non-irritating and very gentle throughout. Before I left, Jennifer reminded me that she had already applied sunscreen for me, which is especially important in Las Vegas. Also, the shop is located on the second floor, and there's plenty of convenient parking nearby in Shanghai Plaza. This stood out to me because other doctors I saw wanted to perform a full tummy tuck, which I didn't need, and never even identified the actual issue. I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Herte and her entire team. From the moment I walked in for surgery, I felt truly cared for and at ease. Instead of a typical surgical center setting, I was placed in a room with a comfortable recliner chair, which immediately made me feel more relaxed--almost like I was at home. The nurse sat with me, talked me through everything, and started my IV in such a calm and reassuring way. The room even had a beautiful mural on the wall, which added to the peaceful atmosphere and helped ease my nerves. The anesthesiologist was also incredibly kind and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and informed. When Dr. Herte came in, she was just as warm and reassuring--she explained everything clearly and made me feel completely confident in her care. Walking into the operating room, the entire team continued to be supportive and kind, which made a huge difference in calming my nerves. Dr. Herte truly cares about her patients, not just profit--and that is rare. Now, post-surgery, my seroma is completely gone. The lump is gone, and my scar is barely visible--it's honestly the best scar I've ever seen from any surgery. I couldn't be happier with my results. Her care didn't stop after surgery either. She and her team have seen me weekly for follow-ups, and she personally checks on me each time. That level of attention and care speaks volumes. I only wish I had gone to her in the first place--but I'm so grateful I found her. She is an exceptional surgeon and a genuinely caring person.

I also requested termination of my membership, which was also denied. The first thing I said was that I was nervous about getting stuff on my face. Some moisturizing treatment worked well and I should have trusted my instinct to simply stick to that one procedure (I don't remember the name of it). My advice to all -keep everything documented.

Jessica E, you should be ashamed of yourself. Why do you feel it's necessary to lie about my initial review? It's too bad you feel like you have to protect a doctor that is unscrupulous. Is this how your mother raised you? YOU ARE THE LIAR! You stated that I changed my "swear word filled" review when actually YOU are the one that deleted 2 of your responses to my original review. Please explain so we can decide who is actually lying. Where are your 2 hate filled comments to my original review.. you know, the one were you called me "venomous"? I wish I would have taken a snapshot so the viewers can see how ridiculous you are. Instead, please see attached images with dates of Jessica E's responses to my original review (one dates June 24, 2019 the day I posted my review, the other dated June 27, 2019). Both have been deleted and replaced with Jessica E's latest defense which is to call me a liar & calling my experience inaccurate. Was this a group effort with Dr Lane Smith? Jessica E, You're a liar & you know it. I feel sorry for you. I hope you find a better position where you do not have to put yourself in such a horrific circumstance. To set the record straight, I never deleted or modified my first review posted 26 days ago... its still available for Dr Smith, his staff, & most importantly the public to see. It will remain untouched because it's on point, accurate, & the public should know what type of person/office they will be dealing with the moment they step foot in your building. My original review does not constitute a "swear word filled review with vicious personal attacks" (in fact, there is not even 1 actual swear word in my original review) but rather stating a disturbing consult that I nor any other woman with standards would appreciate or find professional. I invite this office & anybody interested to take a look at my initial review. It's still there, untouched. I can't say the same for Jessica E. Not only did she give a knee-jerk response to my original review on June 24, 2019, but changed her response because amazingly she, or somebody in the office, recognized that it reflected poorly on Dr Lane Smith's practice (see 1st attached image. This is from my email stating that June 24, 2019 a comment was made by Jessica E). She later changed her comment so it was less abrasive (see 2nd attached image from June 27, 2019). In her modified statement, she apologized for "not accommodating this woman's busy schedule" & went on about all the awards Dr Smith has received & how I was the one that was unprofessional (News Flash: This is NOT my place of work, thank God, & being the consumer it's not my job to remain professional.. But I do have manners so naturally there I was 20 minutes early & was pleasant). My second review was a response to the 2 comments Jessica E left, which are now deleted. The second review would have never existed without out the unprofessional responses from Jessica E on the 24th and 27th of June. I felt she was confused so I recapped my first review to explain in detail why this consult was so disturbing. Amazingly enough, but no surprise, they changed their comments AGAIN & wouldn't address any of the specifics I had. Instead Jessica E gave a blanket statement stating "The office denies each and every one of her statements as false and at best extremely exaggerated". So to recap again, They tried to combat my first review by making it seem like I was unreasonably upset because the Dr was late & NOW they are calling me a liar & proceed to accuse me of changing my original review... lol. What do I have to gain by posting this negative review? Not once have I tried to shift business towards any other surgeon('s) that I had consults with and eventually used. Each of these Dr's had a female assistant in the room as breast were exposed. The other Dr's also did not handle my breasts or use markers the way Dr Smith did. My consult with Dr Smith solidified that there were other surgeons that were much better suited & far more professional. I congratulate Smith on all of his awards. This office obviously takes pride with his accomplishments. But unfortunately, it does not change the fact that my experience with Smith and his staff was awful. To cap it off, Jessica E changed her comments again (See image 3) & IS NOW stating that I'm only upset because I was "not accepted as a patient". Jessica E, Can I ask when we had this discussion? I left Dr Smith's consult with a quote in hand of what the surgery would cost. This quote even had a nipple lift which he recommended for me specifically (see 4th attached image). Did you not accept me as a patient via telepathy? What magical planet are you from? A word of advice: Its best not to let these awards get to your already inflated heads. For being a "Plastic Surgery Virgin", I give Smith Plastic Surgery 5 stars across the board. I went in for a consultation for a Brazilian Butt Lift/ Fat Transfer. Being that I have never ever done something like this before, I was super super nervous, and I honestly can't say that Dr. Smith eased all of my nerves on the first meeting. But he was very informative, and with the short time that I spent with him, I was 100% confident with him, and knew that he was the one that was going to do my procedure. He exuded confidence, and perfectionism! I could just feel it! Everyone that works in his office are amazing. The girls were very compassionate and caring. Jessica was the go to for all questions, booking the surgery and the pre-op, and believe me when I tell you I had oodles of questions in my pre-op because I was so nervous in my consultation that I probably forgot to ask half of what I really wanted too. But she was able to answer everything that I forgot to ask in my consultation. The person that I probably spoke to the most throughout this whole process was the anesthesiologist, he called me a few days before my surgery and we had a very extensive discussion about my upcoming surgery, he was so sincere, answered any questions that I had, told me what to expect, assured me that I was going to be fine, gave me a run down of all his credentials, and was nothing short of amazing. It was from that point on that I felt comfortable, and ready for upcoming surgery. He also called me post op to check on me as well. Don't remember much of him the day of surgery! He must have been that good! ha ha. I think we were having a conversation, and then I remember absolutely nothing :) and I consider that a good thing :) The day of surgery, my nerves were acting up again, and I was put into the pre-op room to get ready for surgery, and yet had another great experience with a super pretty blonde girl, (can't remember her name) but she was an expert at making me feel at ease, talking to me about everyday things as she helped me get ready for my surgery, took my mind right off of it really! and yet again, she was able to answer more questions that I had (at this point still a plastic surgery virgin) She put my IV in my arm, didn't feel a thing! Perfect! Dr. Smith then came in when I was dressed, hooked up and ready to go, and I got to spend a lot of time with him talking with him, as he was drawing on me, and assuring me that I was going to do great. Yet again, the confidence just exuded from him! I was then taken into the operating room, layed down, and all I remember was a really soft pillow, and the comforting voice of the anesthesiologist. Next thing I knew I was at home! The next day pre-op, I was pretty out of it, but yet another one of Dr. Smith's staff, a young girl that worked for him that also had the same surgery I had, was just what I needed! She was sooooooooooooo sweet! and treated me so nicely!! She was probably my favorite in the whole office. She was so compassionate to what I was going through. She understood me. Assured me, and helped me. Which brings me to today! One week post op! Can I tell you that Dr. Smith has exceeded my expectations 1000%. Another one of his staff, (super sweet too! They all are!) Came and took out all my stitches, took out my drains, and Dr. Smith came in to see me. I love what he did. He far surpassed my expectations as to what I ever thought my outcome of this surgery could be. and I'm only one week post op. I wish I had come to Smith Plastic Surgery years ago. In a just a few hours Dr. Lane Smith accomplished what I've been unable to achieve on my own after years of healthy living, diet and exercise. My second multi-procedure surgery with Dr. Smith was 6 weeks ago, the first surgery almost 11 weeks ago. Dr. Smith totally transformed me, making me look considerably younger (I'm 53) and giving me the feminine figure I've always wanted. I love my results and highly recommend Dr. Smith and the team at Smith Plastic Surgery. Everyone was very friendly, professional and answered all my questions before and after surgery. Dr. Smith and Dr. Crowley, the anesthesiologist, were very kind, patient and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and accommodate my requests. I always felt I was safe, well-cared for and in the best of hands with these amazing doctors. I've already reviewed my first surgery which included a face-lift, neck-lift, blepharoplasty and fat transfer. At almost 3 months post-surgery, the wrinkles under my eyes are gone, the scars around my ears and under my eyes are completely invisible, and I love having a chin and jaw-line like I did when I was 30. The fat transfer made my cheeks and lips fuller and more youthful, even though I didn't retain the fat especially well. These procedures weren't painful and recovery was very easy. Dr. Smith did a beautiful job with my face and neck and I couldn't be happier with the results. My second surgery with Dr. Smith included breast augmentation, tummy tuck with liposuction and fat transfer to my butt. Going into surgery at 5'6" and 120 lbs, I wasn't fat, but had a thick waist, a lot of extra stretched-out skin over my abdomen, and flat breasts and butt. Dr. Smith did a fantastic job on my makeover. I love the results! Dr. Smith was so helpful in choosing the size of the implants. I asked him to use his discretion during surgery if he felt a different size would be best. He did make a change, and he got it exactly right for my frame and personality. Trust Dr. Smith and you won't go wrong. He's an artist, a perfectionist, and really cares about doing his very best work for every patient. I love having a narrower waist, flat smooth stomach and a rounder butt. Already the breast augmentation scars are nearly invisible, and the tummy tuck incision is a very low, straight, thin line. If I could change anything about this surgery, I would have asked about implants or a combination instead of fat transfer alone for the butt lift. Going in I liked the idea of using my own fat, I just happen to not retain transferred fat well in spite of following all the instructions very carefully. This is an individual characteristic and is completely outside Dr. Smith's control- the butt lift looked perfect right after surgery. I'm happy with the improvement, but wish I had kept more of the fat. Dr. Smith is a fantastic plastic surgeon and he's personable, kind and welcoming. I came to The Plastic Surgery Institute of Las Vegas seeking a whole new body image. I am so happy that I did! I can't thank them enough for what they did for me. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking to improve their body issues. Suddenly a divorced mother of two boys, my life had spiraled into a whole unexpected direction at 46 years old: I was single and lonely so ready to date. The dating pool at my age was limited at best...many guys of comparable age were not going to be interested in me because they could just as easily get younger women, many with perfect bodies, unlike my own. However I knew I was pretty, when clothed that is. I'm 5'10", a size 4, with long dark hair and blue eyes. But I had terrible anxiety about being intimate with anyone, because when I undressed, I hated my body because of the horrible disfiguring C-section scar I had...In their haste to save my life after an emergency C-section because of eclampsia seizures, a doctor sewed the muscles back not matching them up. This created a horrible shelf on my belly. The skin was stretched from the baby, so it hung over the scar like a skin and fat scarf. I thought my ugly body naked body would turn off any suitors permanently. The staff at The Plastic Surgery Institute of Las Vegas was friendly and courteous. My first consultation with Dr. Lane Smith was very comfortable as he is not only knowledgeable but also personable, his manner quite gentle. He explained that he could make my tummy flat once again with a full tummy tuck, returning my body to a more youthful appearance. In the end, I also choose to have flank liposuction and fat transfer to the butt. I was nervous the day of the surgery but the staff reassured me all would be well, Dr. Smith was one of the best surgeons around. The surgery went smoothly. The next day I returned for a checkup and to get my bandages taken off. The minute I saw my new improved body I cried tears of joy. Seriously, it was beautiful already, even with a new scar and stitches. I had a smooth belly again...free of stretch marks, skin folds, and fat. My butt was still bruised, naturally, but rounded and full once more. I felt I had my 20 year old body back, despite the new scar. The scar was so low on the bikini line I would be able to hide it under a bikini. In time, with proper care, Dr. Smith assured me the scar would most likely be hardly visible after two years too. I am so grateful to Dr. Smith and what he did for me. It has changed my life for the better. Where do I begin... I visited Dr. Smith after a consultation by another doctor who lacked professional decorum. Dr. Smith immediately made me feel at ease with my consultation. He listened to my concerns of incision site, sizing, possible lift. He is very knowledgeable but is not arrogant like some dr's can be. He made suggestions as to my BA procedure and went into depth about the procedure and what it could do for me. The consultation was very thorough and informative; the time he spent with me proved that he was very detailed in the work he does. The staff, from my first call to set up the consult, are all very nice. They worked with my crazy schedule for every appointment and were always helpful with any questions I had. Prior to surgery, the pre-op appointment was informative. A few days prior to surgery the anesthesiologist Dr. Crowley calls, what a nice guy and very thorough like Dr. Smith. The day of surgery everyone was very comforting and kept my husband informed throughout. I was not nervous and their attention was entirely on me when it was my turn. Dr. Smith, Dr. Crowley, Francesca, Emily, Shannon, and my recovery room nurse (I didn't catch her name because that's when I was the most loopy) were all fantastic during every level of my care!!! Following my procedure, I had very minimal bruising and swelling, and they looked fabulous even at day one! Follow up appointments so far have been great and I am two weeks post op; already my scars are almost non-existent. There has been a little wait time at appointments, but that is because of the level of care & commitment he has with his patients. I am okay with the wait because when its my turn, I know that I will have their undivided attention relating to my care. I will be going to Dr. Lane Smith if I want anything done in the future. I cannot tell you where to go, but I highly recommend Dr. Smith! Long waits both in front lobby and once your taken back!! When Dr. Smith makes it in the room, he makes you feel as if you are on a conveyer belt and that you are taking up too much of his time. You get to meet Dr. Smith once during your consultation and then not till the day of surgery (where he rushes you in for the operation), once operation has been done you will be seen 3 times after (although you will see more of his assistant on those appointments). Appointment day of your operation you are placed on hold for the day sitting around waiting for a phone call from them, informing you that you have 30 minutes to get there. The day after surgery when bandages where removed they noticed my skin was black (dead) at the side of my ear, so I was no longer allowed to wear the dressing they provided, which they had informed me was to tighten up and help with my neck lift. It has been a year and I am still horribly disfigured. I have never scared on prior surgeries from other surgeons. On my last visit I waited 2 and a half hours. Once I was taken back he did come into the office which he was visible upset, telling me they'd called him back from the parking lot, as he was leaving for the day (I was not the only patient still waiting to see him). I had 3 questions. 1) Since the fat transplant $5,800 did not take, should I try an injectable? 2) Will my scares diminish so I can wear my hair up (It is outside of the hair line and VERY visible). & 3) Could the lopsided scar that is under my chin be repaired (it hangs down on the left side) Before I even got to the scar, he snapped at me, saying "Why is it always MY patients that want corrective surgery? go see my Patient Co-Ordinator", and abruptly left the room. I was then shuffled to another room, where a girl gave me a bill and said if I was interested in the corrections, the money is to be paid up front. Well my story begins about 7 years ago when I found the bombshell bra from Victoria's Secret. It created an illusion that my C cup breasts were D+ breasts and they aren't. Oops! Well what would I do if they stopped making that bra??? Now I'll never have to worry about that. I have met many people who have had pleasant experiences and mind blowing results from Dr. Lane Smith. Three of my closest friends had their breasts done by him so it was a no brainer right? But if you review his education and his training and his passion for his art, then again another reason he's my top pick. Then you view his before and after galleries and they are jaw dropping how beautiful his results are considering every single female on that site is different from the one before and they all look amazing after. When you meet his staff you'll see and feel their respect and dedication to Dr. Smith and realize they want your outcome to be just as life changing as you do for yourself. Shannon, Sherese, both Jessica's, his OR staff and more will hands down become part of your journey. Dr. Smith knows how to make you feel comfortable and understand the procedure and gives you his time and undivided attention during your consult. I went to see Dr. Smith for a Rhinoplasty to remove the bump on my nose and ended up mostly dissatisfied with the results. Before the surgery, Dr. Smith mentioned that the sides of my nose where the nostril creases were, were asymmetrical and that they wouldn't be perfectly symmetrical after the surgery- I was fine completely with this. I knew that my nose was not perfectly straight before, but I was not aware that the surgery would make my nose look MORE crooked than before. It feels like the surgery took something I was self-conscious about and exacerbated it. I noticed immediately after surgery that my nose was much more noticeably crooked than before and the tip has been overly-reduced in size, making it very pointy and feminine. Furthermore, the tip of my nose was upturned, which makes it very visible that the surgery resulted in very uneven nostrils. The tip of my nose is probably the part that I dislike the most - I never had much of an issue with the tip of my nose, but agreed to have it worked on when Dr. Smith's simulations looked good. Now, I'm over a year out from my surgery at this point and pretty much regretting the whole experience. Breathing has become a struggle sometimes because my nostrils can collapse due to the airflow if I inhale too aggressively. This is particularly frustrating because the surgery was partially meant to improve my breathing. When I spoke with Dr. Smith's office about these issues (both cosmetic and functional), they suggested that a touch-up procedure might be necessary. A few weeks later, I get a call from them stating that they "don't see" what I'm talking about. Other surgeons have told me that I might need to harvest pieces of my rib cartilage to rebuild the tip of my nose into something more normal looking. read more

Dr. Lane Smith & Dr. Michael Crowley are amazing! I would like to start by saying that I already had an amazing experience even before flying from Colorado to Vegas for my procedure. The staff talked to me daily and made me very comfortable! They answered every question I had thoroughly and never once made me feel dumb or got annoyed with the daily calls I made. Dr. Crowley called a few days prior to my procedure and was so friendly and let me know everything there is to know about my procedure. Upon arrival Dr. Crowley gave me mints :) and my girlfriend who was sick cough drops. It was just so thoughtful and he was so happy to make me smile. He helped me with my doubts by telling me to be proud to get this procedure, unlike others who made me feel guilty. Then I meet Dr. Smith! He was so intelligent and honest and kind. Although most surgeons point out all flaws he made sure to make me feel pretty and like this is just an addition to my beauty. I have never had an experience with a doctor like that. And he listened to what I wanted and did it perfectly. They made my body flawless and were very intelligent surgeons. The entire staff was amazing and went out of there way not only to make me feel comfortable but to make me laugh. They all were very warm and loving and Shannon my nurse was so helpful as well. I had 4 girls with me to support me through the surgery and every one left wanting a Brazilian butt lift not only because his work is literally perfect, but because they made us all feel welcome. I had done so much research and literally Dr. Smith is the best in the country, NO ONE IS BETTER. It literally has been worth every penny. I will only come here for any procedure! Dr. Smith is absolutely amazing, his work is just impeccable I had two breast augmentation previously and I was so upset and then I found Dr. Smith and he did a breast lift and a mommy makeover on me. When I saw my breasts for the first time I started crying because I was so happy, they were exactly what I had asked for from my previous two surgeons, but didn't get, I am so thrilled with my mommy makeover and in the future I will go to Dr. Smith for any other procedure I plan on doing and I tell everyone I know to go to him because his work is absolutely incredible you will be so happy with your results!!! My good friend also just went to him for a bbl and her butt is beautiful and round and plump and looks so real, everyone is so jealous of her results and are going to make an appointment with Dr. Smith for different procedures after seeing my friend and my results. I would also like to tell everyone how wonderful his anesthesiologist is, Dr. Michael Crowly is so kind and caring and attentive and he made me feel so relaxed before my surgery, I have never gone into a surgery so calm and relaxed and I just knew everything would be fine because he made me feel that way. My experience with Dr. Lane Smith and his entire team has been nothing short of exceptional. From the very first consultation through my post-surgery care, every person in the office has been warm, welcoming, and truly professional. I could go on for hours about how amazing both of my experiences have been with Dr. Smith and his wonderful staff. From the second I walked into their beautiful office for my breast augmentation consultation I felt 100% comfortable. Every single staff member there is just great! They are helpful, caring and genuine. Alot of them remembered me and details about my fiance and I A year and A half later when I returned for my rhinoplasty surgery. I was blown away with how comfortable and excited they made me feel about both of my surgeries and some even shared their personal experiences with me to help me feel less nervous. Dr. Smith sat with me and he showed me what he could do to my nose in minutes and it absolutely blew my expectations away. I had no doubt in my mind that this was the surgeon that was going to change my life for the better. They are very specific and make sure you know exactly how to prepare for surgery and what to expect afterwards. I had the best experience with Dr. Smith and Smith Plastic Surgery. I decided when my children were all grown that I wanted to get a Mommy Makeover. After four children I really needed some assistance in getting back into shape. Although I workout routinely, my breasts were sagging and I had a "baby bump" which I could not get rid of. I started my journey on line trying to find the top three surgeons in Las Vegas. After spending a lot of time on line looking at before and after photographs on the websites, I chose my top three, which included Dr. Lane F. Smith. I went to all consults and felt incredibly comfortable with Dr. Smith. First, he listened to my concerns. Second, he gave me options and was honest about the outcome emphasizing improvement not perfection. I am so happy I chose him to do my Mommy Makeover. I am four weeks out from my surgery, and I look better than I ever imagined I would. It's not an easy recovery, but it is so worth it. My breasts look fantastic. My tummy is beautiful. And, Dr. Smith liposuctioned excess fat from my body that I could never have removed but for perhaps one year of intensive personal training. The results are amazing. I am exactly 1 month post-op from a breast augmentation and I am in love with my results! I know the look of my breasts will become even more beautiful as time goes on. From the beginning the staff was very kind and patient as I racked my brain about the appropriate size even asking for a second fitting on my pre-op appointment. Dr Smith was very informative and didn't make me feel rushed as he talked to me at my consult. The day of my surgery I was seconds from fainting as the nurse (I wish I remembered her name because she was so nice and very funny!) put the IV into my arm and she rushed to grab me an ice pack. The ice pack was a sample implant which was hilarious and I wanted to take it home :)! She made sure I felt 100% before leaving to get the Dr. When I was taken to the O.R. I was met by the anesthesiologist Dr. Crowley who was also very nice. He turned on some spa like music, made sure I was comfortable, had some small talk and the next thing I knew I was all done waking up in the recovery area. My incisions are so thin and are healing beautifully! I definitely would recommend Dr. Smith and his team of professionals to anyone wanting plastic surgery. The only "negative" was my estimated surgery time. I wasn't upset or irritated with my estimated 3pm appointment turning into 430pm as its SURGERY! I totally understand not every patient will be as easy as you thought they would be. I was just craving FOOD so much more as time went by. read more

I recently had surgery with Dr Lane Smith. I had 3 consults from different surgeons in California and Las Vegas. I chose him as one of the 3 because of his outstanding references, background and because of the amount of these types of body contouring surgeries he has done. From his initial consult, through surgery and follow up he has been incredibly kind, gentle thorough and professional. I am still swollen from the procedure but I can already tell that I'm going to have an amazing result. I had several things done but did not feel pressured to do more from him. I felt extremely confident in his suggestions even though it wasn't initially was asking for. His reputation from what I hear is that he is a perfectionist and I would have to say that I agree. I think that is a very desirable trait when you are talking about an elective procedure. Aside from being impressed with him, his staff was lovely. His nurses were gentle, thorough and knowledgeable. They called to check on me several times and I never felt hurried or unimportant to them. On top of the surgery center they have a medispa next door which I have not been to but they've offered incentives to have more services there which I like that its all together. I feel like I'm extremely picky because I used to be a nurse and worked at one point in a plastic surgery outpatient surgery center. I'm extremely impressed with this place. I don't normally write reviews but I received an email to vote for Dr. Smith for some fancy Vegas award and I thought I'd better take a moment and talk about my personal experience. I went for a consultation with Dr. Smith in January. Sitting in the waiting room I heard EXTREMELY loud and unprofessional conversations about patients, between office staff. I was watching the T.V. displaying before and after photos and was shocked by the derogatory comments about women's bodies prior to surgery. I noticed that the office was very dirty, this was unsettling considering that they do in house surgery. I didn't really start to worry until I met Dr. Smith he did not wash his hands when he came in the room or when he examined me, and he was extremely unkempt. He had slop on his white coat, and messy greasy hair. He also never made eye contact with and seemed shifty and agitated. This is not someone that I would want to trust my life with. So I walked my "flat weird looking butt" out the damn door! I'll get a "sexier butt" elsewhere. Thanks. In response: Like I said I opted out of using Dr. Smith for my surgery. This was BEFORE I knew he was not only a slob, but an actual mad man. Thank the good Lord above. Trust your instincts. Bedside manner, cleanliness and professionalism are all much more important than fancy awards that these doctors panhandle to receive. read more

Dr. Smith and his staff are absolutely amazing. I had a breast aug and tummy tuck done at the same time and am thrilled with the results. Dr. Smith was the only doctor I consulted with, because after meeting with him and feeling completely comfortable and put at ease about the procedures, I decided I didn't need to waste my time meeting with anyone else. His prices were incredibly fair, especially given he has his own surgery center. No sick people in the OR! Ever!! That to me was a huge plus. There was no pressure to go with him given, in fact my estimate was good for a year, but I just knew it was the right choice. And I couldn't be happier! The girls in his office have never been anything but completely professional and amazingly nice when I've been in. They ask questions, offer advice, take as much time as needed to answer any questions I've had and didn't rush me at all in making any decisions. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Smith, and have already, and know that if I ever decide to have anything else done he will be the only place I turn. I have had a couple procedures done by Dr. Smith, I am only comfortable with sharing about my rhinoplasty. However, both came procedures produced amazing results. I came in with my husband to have a consultation about getting my nose done, there were a couple things I didn't like about it, but I also had breathing problems. Dr. Smith took the time to make my husband and I comfortable with the procedure. He took a picture of my nose and morphed it the I wanted it to look, but he also gave his professional opinions to stray away from getting it narrow, because it can look fake. But if I wanted it that way he has no problem of doing it since it is my nose. I didn't feel rushed at all we morphed my nose for an hour before I settled on what I liked. I am a couple of days post-op now, I still have my cast on, but from what I can see I LOVE MY NEW NOSE!!!!!!!!!. I am sure it will look even better when the cast comes off. I have recommended a couple of my girl friends to Dr. Smith and they have gotten they're breast augmentations done and they all look great. If I ever feel I need something done, I already know who I am putting my trust in. Dr. Smith is the best! I also want to thank his amazing staff especially Jessica! read more
