I enjoyed the jalapeño cheddar cream cheese on a rainbow legal. It was very rich I a quater of the bagel was enough. I probably would have enjoyed a half bagel. I wanted to to try something special spicy chiro egg melt on a bagel. Nothing special it need more kick. I didnt lole the 3% surcharge on credit card charges so I paid cash. One positive part about this is this gives cash a fighting chance to survive.

Its me again with another review of a poppy seed bagel with strawberry spread. Smith st bagel did deliver you freshly baked, soft and crunchy New York style bagel with great tasting spread. But hold on, let's mention the guys behind the counter. As always, I asked for a little advise, a recommendation on how to order my bagel and the two guys behind the counter not only gave a recommendation but got into a small friendly chat. Gentlemen, you get 5 STARS on top of the 5 stars for this review and a huge THANK YOU for being so friendly. Looks like Smith st bagel offers a huge variety of freshly made bagel and a fridge full of different spreads. I was pleasantly surprised seeing cucumber dill, honey bacon or chipotle flavors just to name few. The shop has some indoor seating and few benches outside. This place certainly becoming a part of the neighborhood.

This place had such great reviews and I decided to give it a chance on Uber eats! They use different couriers so be aware they send you a link for tracking. It to be honest this was one of the best Uber eats experiences I've had I ordered an ice latte, an everything bagel with bacon, cheddar and scallion cream cheese and a bacon egg and cheese. The latte was absolutely excellent and strong. The BEC was exactly what I needed and that was some of the best cream cheese ever. 10/10

I had a delivery order from Smith Street Bagel since it was nearby. We got the Lox Bagel ($14.95) and Lox Spread Bagel ($5.95). The plain bagel was too chewy and hard with little cream cheese, so felt this was lackluster. The lox was decent, but I've had better. For the price, it's not too bad but I'd rather spend a couple dollars more for a stuffed bagel.

My first bagel experience in New York hit the spot. I shared an everything bagel with lox cream cheese, though they forgot to put the extra tomato we paid for. This was soo tasty and perfectly toasted. I also shared the egg sandwich 9 on a pumperknickle, which was also decadent. Coffee washed this all down well too!

I noticed Smith Street Bagels as I was heading into an imaging appointment across the street. I just knew I was going to grab a bagel before I headed home. Sooooo glad i stopped by, as they didn't disappoint! I ordered a whole wheat everything bagel with lox spread and it was utterly delicious!!! SSB had a wide variety of cream cheeses: vegan, gluten free, and a myriad of flavors. If you're not in the mood for a bagel, they have juices, smoothies, pastries, etc. Slightly overwhelming, but in a great way!!! If you're ever in Cobble Hill, Smith Street Bagels should be your breakfast destination, regardless of the time of day! Oh and they have a b&w cookie that's a must!!!

This is one of the few bagel joints around that is open late. I believe they used to be open 24 hours, but I'm not sure that is still the case. When I came around 5pm, most of the bagel selection had already been depleted so I opted for an everything pumpernickel with scallion and lox cream cheese ($6.95). I was stuck between that or the mushroom and truffle, but decided on the former after both staff members recommended it. But, I did feel that the cream cheese lacked any real lox flavor as it was mostly just salty but tinged with scallion pieces. The pumpernickel bagel had an excellent chew and was perfectly dense and hearty.

Love the bagels from here, when you go early in the morning the service is bustling and hustling and the bagels are warm and have a soft delicious inside. It's a daily visit for me when I have a job site close to the location!

Consistently good bagels and good service. The pumpernickel is especially good. If you're travelling they also freeze well.

Are your GF bagels freshly made on site? Or do you buy them from an outsourcer?

    They make them in store!

Where's EDDIE?! Also why are they no longer open late?

Really good question. I just went last night around 10:30 and they were closed. No bagel with my boat bar beer. :(

As far as the customer service goes I wish it was a bit better. The staff aren't the most pleasant. I do notice they speak more pleasantly to other customers that come in. Not sure if it's a culture thing or could they be discriminatory but it's a bit unsettling. Food: 3.8/5 I only order the poppy seed bagel and that's pretty tasty. Not to doughy although I do have them take out a good portion of the bread because I like it to be extremely thin. Service: 3 /5 Service needs major improvements , language barriers are also a major factor to consider as they do speak Spanish and their primary language. Ambiance: 3/5 Standard & basic bagel shop set up. Standing & waiting area is basic they have counter tops should you want to stand inside and eat nothing fancy. They do have a wide variety of drinks to choose from and coffee and tea.

I asked for their advice on what kind of lox to order and they cut me a healthy slice to try of each. And the lox is to die for. And yes ~$60/pound is expensive, but it's artisan, hand carved and they even cut out the little bit of blood line so every bit is perfect. It's worth the splurge every once in a while. Waiting for your number to be called happens faster than you think as people do drop out like flies, so just be patient. If you order yourself a Classic Bagel & Lox Sandwich ($17) like I did, you can watch them filet the salmon fresh from the fish itself to be used just for your sandwich. I did everything bagel and choose Scallion cream cheese, which seems like the popular choice. It's good enough to go out of the way to try once in your life. To be a repeat customer, idk if I want to wait in line for this every weekend. Additionally, there's no seating besides the benches that's outside. I do have to give it to them, among the chaos, the employee that helped me was super friendly. I also saw some of the customers get salmon samples of the salmon for the lox. Idk if they asked or the employee just happened to be offering it.
