    $5 mushroom slice
    Glenn C.

I went into this pizza place a couple days ago. They need a sign up that virtually all other pizza places have which list the prices as if I knew that the mushroom slice was going to be $5 (+ more for paying with card,) I likely would have gotten a plain for $3.50 which is much more reasonably priced. I did check online outside of this and the other topping slices are also $5 which means either that the single topping slices are overpriced or the slices with multiple toppings are reasonable. Outside of the price points, it was a pretty standard slice though I would say the crust was a little bit thick. Sauce was pretty solid not too sweet and the cheese had a good pull. The mushrooms were standard and not really worth the upcharge. The size was a tad smaller than most spots in the area. Alright slice albeit a bit pricey. Mid/low 3.

    vodka slice

BEST PIZZA EVER LIKE EVER. Vodka and margarita size OMGGNMGMGG. So glad I tried it and didn't get something from a deli. Workers are super friendly and kind, start orders right away. Price of pizza is a lil pricey but it's a good neighbor so ofc. Want to try the chicken parm and some pasta next and I think I saw a chicken bbq slice too! I love a restaurant with not too many options because that means it's very good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is super clean and cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I'm going to repeat this! I am not a huge fan of pizza but when I do have a slice that makes me want more because it's that good I have to yelp about it, lol. I frequent this area a lot but I've never noticed this pizza shop. It's a small establishment in the middle of the block and so easy to overlook. I met my daughter here for a late afternoon lunch date & to my surprise, I enjoyed the slice & garlic knots. The garlic knots are big & so flavorful. The slice tasted & looked fresh. It's worth stopping by if in the area you won't be disappointed with the food or customer service.

Nasty Did not wash his hands after sneezing in them... refused to use soap when I asked! The other workers there are nice and polite.

Best slice I had while visiting the city. Doesn't seem super hyped up with ridiculous wait times and lines down the sidewalk (looking at you L'industrie). Options were good, was quick, tasted great, cute little back patio to sit and enjoy in the sun. Would easily recommend.

Best slice in the neighborhood. The vodka slice is especially good. We get it at least once a week.

The pizza is the best in the neighborhood. Thin crust, gooey cheese, spicy pepperoni- it's always delicious. A favorite "go to" spot.

The sunchokes and apples are tossed in a creamy and slightly herbal dressing. Burrata - really great. The eggplant base is richly spiced and tart to complement the rich and creamy burrata. Gemelli - disappointing, and the only vegetarian option. The goat cheese totally overwhelms the dish, so you can't taste the pesto at all. The texture on the noodles was perfect at least. Passion project - delicious drink with notes of passion fruit, chocolate, and some spices. The others in my group also had the duck (which they found to be a bit overly loaded with duck fat) and the reginette (which they enjoyed). I'd love to see a more balanced vegetarian main course make it on the menu sometime. The bill for 4 people came to nearly $230 after tax and tip.

This place does get busy so recommend making reservations if you can. They have a pretty nice wine list to choose from along with different cocktail options. From the start, the food was delicious starting with the house bread which was warm and soft but still felt light. For dinner, I ordered the special for the night which was cacio pepe ravioli, while my husband got the tagliatelle verdi con ragu. Both of our pasta dishes felt extremely fresh. The ravioli was unlike anything Ive had before, with flavorful cacio pepe filling and a butter sauce with pancetta complementing the flavor. The tagliatelle was also delicious in a more ragu centric way, still offering a good balance of flavor. Both dishes were pretty filling and so neither of us could finish it. We ended the night with cannolis, which was a pleasant surprise to find 3 came in 1 order. One side is pistachio while the other had a coco dusting. These were again delicious but pretty filling and sweet so we could only eat one. The staff here was also very friendly and service was quick with food coming out much faster than I expected. Overall I would come back and try even more on their menu.

The bartender was quite friendly, and made me a Piccante (spicy tequila/lime/pineapple situation, with a tajin rim) that was solid. My wife wasn't too hungry, so we only ordered a couple items to share. The Insalata Marzamemi (quinoa, avocado, greens, seared tuna and more), and the ossobuco agnolotti. They brought us some complimentary rosemary bread and oil to dip it. I'm not one to look free bread in the mouth (I think that's the saying), but it was not my favorite bread service. Both the bread and the oil needed salt. But it was warm, and I appreciated the gesture. The salad and pasta were far better. Both were surprisingly large portions for the price (this is NYC in 2026), and paired quite well together. The salad was piled high with fresh ingredients, and there was a nice sear on the tuna. It was only a couple of dollars more than the Greek salad, and a steal. The ossobuco agnolotti with its pecorino fondue and veal sauce was rich, and quite filling. There were at least a 15 of the filled pasta pockets, and well worth the price. All in all, a solid stop for some good portions of Italian food at a good price.

I can't say enough great things about the decor the ambience and imagining all of the past goings on in this restaurant. It's been watching over Brooklyn for well over 100 years now! That in itself is a Herculean feat! From what I was told it was very popular with the mob as they say... And that's why the kitchen which is at the very back of the restaurant has full glass windows so that you can see exactly what's going on in there. I guess some of these mob guys were paranoid and rightly so consider considering their history. I arrived with my friend on a Wednesday evening about 6 PM and there were some scattered tables but by 7 PM it was mobbed (pun intended ) in there!! our waiter was affable and patient and a quite enjoyable fellow. As a sidenote, you will not find any female servers they are all male which l lends to the old school vibe in my opinion. My friend ordered the lamb chops with broccoli Rabe. He enjoyed them but did mention that though they had great flavor one of them was slightly tough... It happens... My meal was pasta with Bolognese sauce with a dollop of fresh ricotta on top. It was delicious actually the sauce was excellent. I would've liked to have a different pasta shape but they did not have it. No biggie.
