Unexpected standards with a creative flair can have remarkable effects.

"Making the simple complicated is the commonplace; making the complicated simple awesomely simple, that's creative!" Charles Mingus Life should be simple, we over complicate it sometimes. Many of us lead our lives in an environment that is fast, quick, and challenging. We are constantly on the go. Each moment maybe it's the edge and walking out over that ledge to keep the proper balance in life. At the end of the day we need normalcy. We need "home time." So what does the simplest of things have to do with a supermarket? Stay with me, we are truly what we eat? Who does not want one stop shopping? If I'm describing your life by the time the end of the work day ends your still thinking about your job beyond your time you walked out the door and are down the street in your car. You could just stop and get that fast food joint or you can go to the supermarket and make something at home. In our uncommon lives we need that attention to detail each day, that means eating properly. Spend the extra time and energy to make your mind, body, and spirit work in a better cycle by using the supermarket for your stop for food choices. Smiths offers one stop simple meals that you can make quickly and efficiently. The deli is open late for your needs with already prepared meals. They have packaged salads and other items that can be served up from your microwave. In the end you will get a better taste from stopping by the supermarket then at a fast food restaurant. You are the cook, even though it's been pre packaged for your convenience of consumption. You are creative and have a great imagination! Let those skills that you have to create come alive in your kitchen at home. You can whip something up from your food choices from your purchases at the supermarket and them eat at home as a family. It makes for greater joy and happiness levels. Do you want to lower your stress and anxiety levels? Then cook at home. The Smiths supermarket is here at your service to make your kitchen the best place in the home.

Always stop in the deli to pick up some fresh sliced meat or cheese. Right now, we enjoy the horseradish cheese with slices of roast beef or sweet ham. The staff is always friendly & helpful. The store itself is always clean & neat. No matter what we want, we know we can find it here & be treated well by friendly people.

I was over @ this Smith's because I ordered food from Cousins Maine Lobster truck that was sitting in their parking lot. I wanted some squash/zucchini & to refill one of my empty H2O judges with their water fill station. I hit up the produce area & the strawberries caught my eye but none of the packages looked good. There was only 1 yellow squash that was all beat up & there was some zucchini and those all looked crappy. They had some in the organic section but I didn't want to pay the extra money for organic. I ran into a worker & had mentioned to him about my findings & he didn't care. Never said he was sorry, gave me a reason why, nada, zip, nothing. I had asked him if they were having a shortage of vegetables & he said "yes." I went to fill my empty galloon water bottle with their water fill station & found that its now .50 cents to fill!! It use to be .35 cents, when did it go up?!?!?!?!?! YIKES!!! I had picked up a package of unshelled pistachios & put it back and jI ust walked out. I was so disappointed in all my findings. The outside of their building is white now, like a bright white...............it doesn't look good & I'm not sure if they did that with all the Smith's or just this location. I'll stick to the Smith's near my house from now on.

Very unfortunate that they would limit their customers like this. Not only do they shut one of the doors at 6pm but at 7:10 pm on a Saturday you can't buy beauty products? This should not happen in a nice neighborhood like Green Valley.

Quick stop at this Smith GS before going into doctor's office just next to it. I was happy, I found what I was looking for and all shelves were stocked! Store appears very cleaned and organized.

My 1 star refers to only todays event. I am and always will be a satisfied customer at this location. I have family visiting soon and a favorite wine is SONOMA CUTERER CHARDONAY. I paid $29 each for two bottles. I tried to return the bottles this morning but I was told that Smiths doesn't take wine returns! TOTAL WINES AND MORE has it at $19! I seldom buy alcohol. This is for my special guests and this is a difficult situation that holds a cloud on my family's visit!

The deli provided the worst service. We decided to go to another grocer. They seems uninterested in helping us this was the second time.

At 90,0000 square feet, the Henderson Winco has been winning at pricing and selection since they opened on March 4, 2012. In contrast to local supermarket chains including Walmart Neighborhood Market, Albertson's, and Smith's; Winco does not saturate the market. In Las Vegas there are currently only three WinCo's. With that being the case, I don't visit as much as I would like to. I am impressed by the prices. WinCo's strategy is to keep costs down by passing over advertising and not accepting credit cards to avoid the merchant processing fees. Additionally there is no pharmacy which keeps the overhead down. I feel that the lack of advertising makes Winco unique and creates this mystique. Without advertising telling me what to think about the business, my mind has its own marketing about the supermarket. It kind of reminds me of a 1970s supermarket. The exterior and logo remind me of the long defunct Woolco Department Store. It is a clean brightly lit store with what I consider a modernized version of a 1970s store. I say this in a good way. When I enter the store through The Wall of Savings I am greeted with a brightly lit and clean store surrounded by deals. It is the antithesis of a dingy and cluttered discount supermarket. Throughout the store the shopping experience is great. In the heart of the store, the top shelf is roughly equivalent to the top of my head. This alleviates the situation of having to struggle to reach for something on the top shelf. From shopping here, I noticed something missing in action. That is lock up cases. I did not see one lock up case. That includes health and beauty aids. I am impressed with their selection. They carry brands that I have not seen at other local supermarkets. This includes Shasta soda. My Winco tradition has been to pay 50 cents for a can of Shasta soda at the vestibule. My go-to item at Winco has been the Tastee Choice frozen shrimp dinners. They are delicious , filling, and cost around $4. Throughout the outstanding selection permeates through the fresh areas, the bulk candy, bakery, and aisles throughout the store. The one thing that Winco can improve on is the check out process. It is normal to only have a few lanes open at a time. There could be a wait. To the left of the full-serve checkouts there are a few self checkout terminals. Additionally, although I don't mind, customers have to bag their own orders. As stated earlier, to pass down the savings, Winco does not accept credit cards. The way I see it, Winco means "Winning." When it comes to finding a great selection and prices, I win when I shop at Winco.
