Okay, so I don't actually shop here for groceries (unless other stores don't have what I need, usually nori). I come for the sushi. No, I'm not kidding. And no, I'm not coming here for crappy, flavored fake crab wrapped in rice. Next to the deli, there is a sushi counter. It's an honest-to-God sushi "deli". They have oodles of delicious rolls, all made absolutely fresh. I've also been informed that the chefs will customize a roll or build whatever you want. The company is called "Hybrid Sushi" and they don't lie. While they have your traditional California and Rainbow rolls, they also do things like put french-fried onions on their crunchy rolls. They debuted a new "Spicy Shimp" roll yesterday...it was amazing! I highly, highly recommend this place! Anyway, to get there, I walk through their gorgeous produce department and smell the yummy smells emanating from the bakery. The store seems clean and organized. The staff tends to leave something to be desired, but if you use the lovely self check-out, you can minimize interaction with the grumps who get to work in a grocery store :) read more

I'm always at this smiths shopping so kinda shocked this happened.. As I was placing my baby in the cart and buckling him bagger stephaine ran into me and my older daughter with a stack of carts over 20 . a man saw and said whoa and pushed the carts off us.. As stephaine walked by I told her she should pay attention as she hit me with the carts. She didn't even acknowledge me and walked inside. I followed her to where she stopped to talk to the manager whom I told what happened , they had her apologize. But then right after telling me she was sorry she lied to them about running my daughter and I over.. She said there was plenty of room.. I have red marks on my ankles where the cart hit me I took pics. .. Really insane that this person thinks it's ok.. Stephanie should be fired.. read more

Having shopped at other Smith locations before, this is my favorite so far. It's location is awesome, since it is in a plaza with countless other things a wandering shopper could need. The layout of this store makes a lot more sense then the one on Sunset and the interior/exterior is a lot more inviting and pleasant. They also have smaller shopping carts unlike the sister store on Sunset, which makes me all kinds of happy. The meat section is decent and not all that sketchy. I take my meat shopping seriously since it's about 80%,of what I eat. The only downside to the store is that it doesn't have the make your own peanut butter or almond butter machines that the sister branch on Sunset has. At least not that I could find. read more

My favorite location, and Lanis.. The store manager is so sweet! I used to work for Lanis at a different location and she runs her stores so well and everything is always so clean and fresh! Everything in this store is easy to find, and if you can't find it there is always someone willing to help. Checkout lines are fast and easy!! Near work and the yoga studio I work out at, so I am here quite a bit. I like Smith's. The experience here is usually pleasant (despite getting eyeballed everytime I use self checkout). The layout is easy to manage and makes locating stuff easy. I've never been blown away by their customer service, but they've never offended me either. read more

Website states open at 6 AM daily but apparently that means for employees only. From 6 to 8 AM there are lots of employees blocking the aisles but none working the registers. You receive rude looks when you try to walk around them as they visit with each other. Only self checkout is open with one "floating" attendant. It has been like this for over a year and requests to open a register are acknowledged and then ignored by the single attendant. Gave 2 stars due to an above average fish dept with friendly service even though it is not open before 8 AM or so.... read more

I shop at this Smiths at least a few times a week, Always nice and clean! Pretty friendly staff except one lady (I never see her nametag) but she is always rude and acts like it's a huge issue when she sees someone using coupons! Other than that it is usually a good shopping trip. read more

I would recommend staying away from this location. I recently had an experience with a cashier that left me dissatisfied. Her name is lisa had to ask her she was wearing no name tag. Lisa refused to help me put the items in a bag despite me asking her to multiple times. She claimed that her reason was she needed payment first. I sighed in frustration and she said, "that's how I feel you pay me now and then I'll help you!" Never in my life has a customer service representative yelled at me. It was like she was too good to bag the groceries kept calling someone to do it. When no one came she seemed shocked I wanted her to do it. This store has gone so downhill in the past year or two. They never have enough registers with human cashiers open on busy weekends. The shelves are half empty every other week. The women's bathroom was filthy a few days ago. There are so many people running around with a manager's vest, but they are worthless. The parking lot is terrible since they added the gas station. Having recently moved here from the UK I had to find a grocery store I liked. I think I found it! Staff are friendly, happy to help at any time. The place is clean, food is laid out well and fresh food I have bought has been good. The location is really good for me with other amenities in the same marketplace. I had a horrible experience at the Smith's on Valle Verde Parkway. I went to return three items. One they refused to take back and that was spinach with bite and insect activity on the produce. The second they replaced. The third was refunded on a store gift card. When I went to check out the card didn't work. I was told it took 15 min. until it could be activated. After 15 min. it still didn't work. Then they said "Oh it takes 20 min.!" In my humble opinion, lots of my time was wasted. How can a person return 3 items and each one has different rules of which none made sense to me. Smith's also signed me up for a credit card and told me that I would receive a $30.00 check every quarter. When the quarter passed, I received nothing. Then I was told, "Oh you must spend $1000.00!! That was never disclosed. When I complained they blamed Kroeger's. So no one is responsible for anything but I as the customer keep being lied to and having my time wasted. My Fiancé and I , only really shop at Smith stores . Food is better and fresh . I've only visited this store once before hand . I walked in instantly fell in love with the layout . Clean and crisp ! I just had to pick up some toilet paper sorry if that's TMI but it was a pleasant trip. Not to busy at 9 am and the stockers were hard at work. The self checkout was nice and ready for me and I save $3 on a 12pack of name-brand TP. I seen they have some pretty good deals on TP right now too. Ignore the 1 star rating , I'm giving this store ZERO stars. My experience started about mid March , I began grabbing salads and sandwiches from this location . I fell violently ill shortly after . Long story short , the romaine lettuce was the culprit . Once I saw it on the news , I called my doctor , who suggested I let the store know about my experience . The deli confirmed the recalled spinach was used in the preparation of the sandwiches and salads , which they prepare in the store deli . I filed a complaint with manager Elana . Sedgwick investigates and what do you know "Smith's states they do not prepare the sandwiches on site , they were shipped prepared by Boar's Head" (which Boar's Head specifically denies, they only provide the meat) . So that ship has sailed since the managers lie . I vowed to never go back , but since the store is across the street from my job, I went back yesterday for a parfait breakfast item and bottled water. I refrigerated the parfait for today since work brought donuts . I open the container and go to pour the blueberries into the granola and yogurt when DEAD FLIES fall out !!! There were about 5 of them !!!! Are you kidding me ???!!! So it's official , Smith's is in the business of dirty food , lies and cover ups . You will be hearing from the NEWS and I'm sending a letter to the CEO of Kroger's once my review is posted . read more

Came here to get gas and a pack of smokes the guy at the cash register at 6:41pm on Monday made a mistake and got frustrated and told me to just go.... than had me wait at my pump 10 mins while he served other people in the cold turns out he shorted my pump $1.00 lol I always shop here and will continue to do so but this older African American guy needs to learn some manners and better math it's not hard to man a cash register my baby brother can do it!!!! read more

Smith's has always been my go-to store since it is so close to my house and really never had a problem with the staff until just recently. My issue is that even in peak hours, they close their lanes and force you to go in the self-checkout. Now if you only have a few items, that is fine. The problem is when you have half of a cart you don't want to bag all of it in limited space and be forced to do it yourself. I was recently there at 6:00pm and they had closed all of their checkout lanes! They temporarily had two open but when I tried to go to them, the checker advised me that they are closed and I would have to go to self-checkout. Wasn't happy. This coupled with their inability to accept Visa will be losing a customer to Albertsons very soon. read more

Stay clear of Pharmacy Managers' Dessiree and Troy. I have been filling the same medication for over a year here. As soon as I found out from my doctor that there was a different prescription for my worsening issue, my doctor prescribed that different script. Dessiree refused to fill that script nor the first one that I had (I thought if I go back to the non-narcotic then they would fill it... it's way too long of a story but in short it ended with her telling me that "I'm fired" (by the way I don't work there) and "you need to find another Pharmacy". I am a psych patient and I suffer from constant chronic pain because of multiple car accidents and work accidents. I had to call corporate on her before she fired me LOL because she wouldn't fill my ADHD medication. The next time I talk to her I was trying to solve the first prescription issue, but all she wanted to talk about was how I described the way she was treating me to corporate. She overly defended herself to me. Dessiree said she still wouldn't fill the first prescription because she hadn't heard from my doctor that has been prescribing me everything the whole time of this pandemic. Obviously I'm never going back there again because "I'm fired" (she's a ginger and apparently a fan of the show The Apprentice smh) but I wouldn't go back out of logic and lack of good customer service. I had to call corporate again recently because of this whole situation. My insurance requires me to be locked into a pharmacy so the process can take up to two weeks. My insurance also requires me to write them a letter and fax it from my current Pharmacy and she refused to help me fax my letter. Corporate refuses to take corrective action on her in her department, so if you're a smart person DO NOT fill your prescriptions here! You just may walk out of there with more problems than you had. I do 90% percent of my grocery shopping here. I like that it is usually clean, and the linens are not too long ever. As soon as one of the persons in charge see there is a lot of people in one register, they immediately open a new lane. I love their organic line of products. My only concern is that there is one of the cashiers (female) that almost every time seems like is in need of some deodorant. Near where I live and for the most part I have no complaints about this Smith's. However I'm becoming put-off by the solicitation going on outside the entrances. Last fall a very shady woman their with her young son soliciting for 'track shoes'. Tonight two very young boys, one wearing football shoulder pads, no adult supervision. I don't know how many times I have been here over the years....maybe five. The first three times must not have been bad or I must have use a self service station and checked myself out. I am so over Smith's. I've lived in Henderson over 23 years. I watched them build this Smith's. When it first opened it was awesome. Definitely my favorite store. In the last five years this store has gone way down. I can't count how many times items were left out of my grocery sack or when I got home I had items from the previous customer in my bag. That involves driving back to the store to return items that aren't mine or to retrieve items that I did not get. Just recently on Christmas Eve I bought items to take to my daughter's for dinner and guess what????? when i opened the sack I was missing the stuff for the appetizer. We had to go the closest store to her and buy the item I was missing. When I once again went to Smith's the next day they had three pages of items left out of customers bags. Smith's is 1.5 miles from me. Last night I went to get some items and they were out of distilled water and broccoli. I bought celery and the ends were black..Threw it away and went to Sprouts. Albertson's and Sprouts are my new supermarkets! read more

If you are going to go to this Smith's to pay a bill at customer service, call ahead and make sure the people who are handling bill pay are not "on a break". If you show up to pay a bill while they are "on their break", they will be extremely upset about it and will quickly let you know about it. read more

I went around 11pm to get gas before going back to my apartment. Usually at this hour (in general late hours) I try to get gas quickly because at night time it is uninviting to be at a gas station. Well today I went and there was an employee who seemed extra chipper when confronting people who needed assistance. I am specifically referencing him helping out 3 plus customers fill up their tires with total enthusiasm and energy. When I was filling up my tank, I over heard Ruben (the great employee!!) being extremely friendly and helpful to a cash paying customer who approached his window 3 times (to pay, to show his Smith's card which Ruben reminded him of , and then the receipt). The atmosphere Ruben created was one that represents Smiths grocery store! It makes me want to revisit the gas station when he is on shift and to be a repeat customer!! Talking about my most groceries where I shop, "Smith's food and drug stores" are the ones! because they almost have better prices than any other competitive grocers. I've been to different other locations throughout the last year and I came up to the thought that this location on Green Valley in Henderson has more friendly staff with nice customer services and the store inside is very clean. I see that the employees are happy with their jobs and they really care about the customers shopping there. The produce products the store carries are always fresh too. I came here today like I always do to get my grocery shopping done and to grab some gas at their little station. As I was at the gas station I realized I had a flat tire so I went to let the lady in the kiosk know that my car had a flat tire and my husband would be coming to fix my tire but we have to leave it in the parking lot until 7 or 8 this evening. I didn't want anyone to think that it was abandoned or something and I didn't want to get a ticket because it was in their parking lot with a flat tire, so while I was explaining to her my situation a young man who was working with her overheard and offered to help me change my tire so that I could get home in a timely manner. He came out and fixed my tire pretty quickly. While he was fixing it another lady (Josephine) came out and was yelling at him, as she was walking across the parking lot, for helping me with my tire. She told him that he should never help a customer on company time cause there was always work to do. Are you freaking kidding me right now! I cannot believe how bitchy and unprofessionally rude she was to him in front of everybody in the parking lot whom by the way were all customers and I'm sure would have totally appreciated his gesture to help them if they needed it also!! It's not often in Vegas you find good customer service unless you're down on the strip and look at the ratings of all the grocery stores obviously they suck at customer service... It's definitely nice to see somebody who is dedicated to their job and helping the customers by going that extra mile.
