People don't really talk or greet around here, but the Smith's grocery store in this part of Henderson is pretty good. Movie theater nearby. Walkable area with lots of parking spaces too. With restaurants and retailers surrounding the area, this location is convenient to get in/get out. There's apartment buildings behind the street and a preschool nearby. Grocery inventories looked bright and available inside. Spacious neighborhood grocery store. There were many bargains and deals marked visibly at nearly every aisle. It was very noticeable. Affordable and decent. Orchid flowers under $20 each looks great. Meats $5 per pack or buy 2 get 1 free is available. All the fruits/vegetables/produce look fresh and good. I like the $2.49-$3.99 for 18 eggs. That's plenty! Some items are from Kroger brand. I think the location is good for grocery shopping, but do look around your public surroundings, especially at night. Daytime feels fine. Overall, this is convenient for folks and travelers nearby. Sooo excited a larger supermarket is opened around here. Definitely had to come by. Large supermarket. Spacious setting so I'm not running into others with my cart, plenty of parking in this large plaza. They have a gas station as well which is always a few cents per gallon less than the other gas stations in the area. As it's new, all the items are so organized. Loving the additional staff who are around the store on the weekends who allowed us to try things, like Costco. I did end up buying some really good cheese. read more

It's the little things!! 5/19/26 I was greeted not once, but twice, sincerely by their employees. Once while I was grocery shopping inside, the gentleman in the dairy area, asked how my day was going and genuinely stopped to listen for a moment. then outside Marco's asked how my day was going I said almost there. I'm a little tired, but OK and he offered to put my two cases of water in my vehicle and was a very pleasant young man. This really uplifted my journey home because I did have a long day. it is the little things that count keep up the good work guys.! read more

i paid for 12 monster energy cases of 12 packs in full. in full! and when trying to return 11 of them (unopened. perfect condition)...they said "uhhh we can't refund this. it's too much money" your store makes probably a million per month in food sales you give af about $220?????? take note to never try and return large purchases from them our corporate greed at its finest oh!!! this is a store that gets robbed regularly and where i have seen employees first hand let homeless people steal items because they sisnt care about the store enough to even try and stop them!!! read more

I try to not leave negative reviews, but yesterday (6/18/2025) was just a bad experience at checkout. I'm in a wheelchair and was with my mom shopping. We had 3 separate orders (grandma's, mom's, and mine) My mom was the one doing the check out so I went to the end of a closed register and leaned my wheelchair back to relieve pressure of my legs. I wasn't in anyone's way. One of the bag boys came to help with bagging but kept looking at me and occasionally laughing. The cashier asked what was so funny he said looking at me "she's so fat she had to lay down for a break" the cashier laughed and said "well looking at the groceries nothing is helping her". It really hurt my feelings. We told customer service because we had to go there to fix our orders all we got was "sorry". This is not acceptable. The saving grace from this store is the man in the deli Willy. He's a sweetheart. He's slices our meats perfectly and is so caring. read more

The store has excellent prices and great selections. They're not as inexpensive as Costco or Sam's club, but they do have a lot of fine selections that those other stores don't have. One example is points towards discount gas typically the other stores are less expensive on a daily basis, but smiths has fair prices compared to Mobil, shell and arco. Maverik may be comparable though. Overall they are very good quality and prices read more

The Brusselsprout hate needs to be studied. Idk why you guys decide to store that nasty germ ridden hose on the damn brusselsprouts??? These photos are on separate occasions. If I took a photo every time I went to the produce section I'd simply run out of memory. I get that perhaps as a child your parents didn't teach you how delicious a baked brusselsprout could be, but seeing the disrespect every single time I come to the produce section is deeply troubling. Put some respect on brusselsprouts name. Sure they can be cleaned, sure they can be rinsed off but letting that handle that has been touched by 100 workers, that likely never gets sanitized, sit over a bed of fresh brusselsprouts is just nasty work. Great place to shop if you feel like getting attacked by someone around you everytime you shop. I grew up with this smiths and it is not what it used to be. I don't feel safe shopping here, anymore. The people that shop here are MAD rude. and they'll attack you for little things like taking a cart. Let me explain what I just went through. Before I went to the store, I had made a list of what groceries i needed. It was going to be a simple pick up what's on the list and go. I went to this smiths, just now. grabbed a basket because i saw that my list was small. but as i was walking down each of the aisles, i grabbed more things that i needed. eventually, my basket got full. and it got hard to carry. so i'm thinking "ugh, i really don't want to go to the front of the store to get a cart, maybe someone left a cart!" because people do that. so i walked around and found a cart that had two things in it. i looked around to see if it was anybody's cart. i looked in every direction and i didn't see anyone. I normally ask "hey, is this anybody's cart?" but also, the cart only had 2 items in it. so i grabbed the cart and put my basket in it. i'm thinking someone probably left it. I went around the corner into the next aisle and i hear "excuse me, that's my cart. you got a problem?" i'm immediately like "omg im so sorry." i'm taking my basket out of the of the cart and the lady was like "it's all good." but then she was like "i saw you looking around being all sneaky." But i wasn't being sneaky. I genuinely thought that someone left their cart. i felt so so embarrassed that i just immediately went to check out and i left. this isn't the first time that i've had a problem with someone at this smiths. on another occasion, i went grocery shopping. i was finishing up and i crossed the street with my cart to get to my car. well, this guy who was driving, he saw me but didn't want to stop and he almost hit me. so i yelled at him as he was leaving the parking lot. "hey, there's pedestrians!" he left the parking lot and LITERALLY came back to harass me. i went off on him. because he pulled up to me and started trying to harass me. and meanwhile, while this is happening, another guy walking by, watching this happen, was like "women are so crazy right?" that day, i came home crying to my mom because i just wanted to shop in peace. another time, some lady was giving me evil glares because my cart got stuck on some plastic from those water bottle cases that have like 40 bottles or whatever. the wheel to my cart got stuck on the plastic when i was trying to pass and i was struggling to get it out. this lady was trying to pass me but instead of helping me out, she just glared at me like "get out of my way." this time was like, my basket was filled to the top and this lady's cart only had 2 things in it. why go off on people or something so little? i even said i'm sorry It's not that deep! I don't feel comfortable shopping here, anymore. no matter what you do here, you're doing something wrong and the customers will attack you. I LOVE SMITHS! honestly - out of any other grocery store... this should be your new favorite spot. after getting frustrated with the larger chain grocery pick up... we decided to try to use Smiths pick up service. it is fantastic, and the staff is very friendly/accommodating. any time there is a delay, it's usually communicated upon. one time, the woman from pick up called me and told me they were running behind. which was great because they didn't have me waste time sitting in the car waiting for them to fulfill my order. typically for pick ups, I do not have to wait longer than 10-15 minutes. my pick up yesterday was nearly instantaneous, and my groceries were brought out shortly after arriving (2 minutes!). there was another time where we were in a car accident en route to picking up our order. I just called and spoke to the pick up department, and they were able to cancel everything without any problems. I genuinely appreciate this place. the Smiths app is also wonderful to use. you can clip coupons electronically that are automatically added to your account to be used right away. you can even plan orders, create lists, and more. it's very user friendly! I order my pick up orders through that, and when replacement items come up (due to the item being out of stock) it's easy to select the alternative right away. also, price wise... my groceries end up being pretty inexpensive! I expected Kroger based companies to be pricey... but smiths has lots of good deals. check them out! read more

Don't try to come here 10 minutes before it closes because the security guard locks the front door and tells you you can't come in. I called the management and they said this is not right. First-I think the pharmacy is great. I have never had a problem of any kind. This grocery store has a lot of problems-they never have enough carts. Even though months ago they said they had ordered more. Sometimes there are NO carts available at all. Some of the women at self checkout are so obnoxious it's hard to believe they have a job where they deal with the public. There are many very nice employees at the store. The North Green Valley Smith's.    Dating back to 2005 I have been familiar with the Smith's in the Green Valley Town Center at the northwest corner of Sunset Road and Mountain Vista Way. I have seen it go through two remodels with it's host shopping center changing for the worst then to the better. When I first shopped here in 2005, this was an outdated store in serious need of a remodel. Back then I remember the word "Oriental" over the top of the paper towels on the back wall that was decorated with 1980s wallpaper striping. It's as if there had been Oriental food there at one time and they moved the paper towels there. Over the course of the years the remodels replaced the 1980s worn out interior with a more up to date one. Remodels have created a sushi station, an extended health food section, sit-down cafe, and up to date fixtures. Remodels have also resulted in two banks of self check-outs. What the remodels had failed to create was a new floor. It appears to me that Kroger (they own Smith's) never replaced the floor. The scratches and marks on the floor are very noticeable.    This is more of a functional Smith's than an upscale one that has the bells and whistles of a Starbuck's, wooden imitation floor, fancy lighting, and elegant interior. This Smith's cannot be mistaken for the fancier ones that include Eastern at Horizon Ridge, Charleston at Hualapai, and Lacosee at Centennial. To put it nicely it is less enjoyable to shop in as the upscale ones with the bells and whistles. In comparison to the more upscale ones the prices are identical. When prices are identical or very close, I prefer to shop in a more enjoyable environment like the nearby Smith's at Green Valley at Pebble and Valle Verde at Paseo Verde. However, this doesn't mean that I ain't rocking the check-ins here.    One of the reasons that I rock the check-ins here is that this Smith's is currently the only full service supermarket in North Green Valley. That is excluding the specialty food retailer Trader Joe's. This wasn't always the case. Since I started yelping in 2011, North Green Valley lost the Green Valley at Sunset Albertson's and the Green Valley at Warm Springs Food 4 Less. This currently leaves the North Green Valley Smith's with a monopoly within a 2-mile radius.   I feel that this monopolistic location has created hubris with management. There is definitely a customer service challenge in this store. Let me explain. There have been a few times that I went here to pay my Nevada Power bill, only to be greeted with a handwritten sign saying that customer service is closed. One time, I overheard a loud mouth woman working at the front end tell another something to the tune that they (customers) need to know how to use the Internet. There have been weeks at a time that their Nevada Power bill pay has been broken. I have lost trust in them as a place to pay bills electronically. The customer service challenge has been made worse by a new policy that an employee has to walk the customer to the restroom. Good luck finding somebody when nature calls. And speaking of luck, this is the only supermarket I am aware of in Clark County that shares a sidewalk with a full service casino. That casino is Barley's. Going back to the customer service, I would rate checking out here a 3 out of 5. There are usually 2 to 3 cashiers. And, I never had an issue with a nasty cashier.    Being a functional Smith's, it features the standard supermarket departments in addition to a pharmacy, pick-up center, expanded health food, and sushi station. The prices range from solid to great deals with a Smith's card.   Although the store is functional, the parking lot borders on disfunctional. As other Yelpers stated there is a need for more corrals. Doing my best to avoid the elements of a busy parking lot, I park at a parking space adjoining the Smith's Fuel Station. This leads to another issue which is walking in one of the least landscaped parking lots in Henderson. During the brutal hot days of summer, the dearth of shade creates an uncomfortable walk. With the building oriented to the south, I can feel the hot sun baking me alive from the west or east when walking here. Exiting is also a challenge. This concludes my review on the closest Smith's and currently full-service supermarket to my residence. It is safe to say: "I shall return." read more

Fyi if they have those special sales where u get 10% or 20% off because you're a service worker/teacher/military senior citizen you have to tell the cashier otherwise u won't get it. If you buy any food you don't like you can return keep your receipt. . Don't get a job there they are not in order. No meetings on manager will tell u to do this. 5 minutes another manager will tell u to do something else. It's like being in Jr. high there. They make you purchase meds, vitamins, hair products, etc separately at the new "isle" counter, but you have to go to another register to purchase your items if you have produce and weighed products. So me and my husband went for some creamer and also ended up grabbing a couple of late night snacks. We continued to go to self checkout. Most of them were closed so we went to only one out of two that were open to use. We scanned two items and realized the small bag of chips did not scan even though we heard the ring. So anyways the screen prompted us that further assistance would be on the way. There were three workers just chit chatting away and it took them 5 minutes for them to come up to us and help. She came up with a snobby attitude, saying "well you didn't scan it of you can scan it and pay for it, it would be nice!" Like the attitude was not necessary at all. Her name is Marissa and she has blonde short hair like a Karen. Terrible lady and she smelt so gross my eyes watered. I am not sure how that can pass under management. Today was my last day shopping at Smith's on Sunset Rd.They have moved everything around and now the personal hygiene and hair color is right next to the produce. The shelves were barely full and what they did have were all Kroger brands which I don't like and purposely go out of my way to shop real brands. It took me 10 minutes of searching for half and half milk only to discover that they only had pints so I purchased 5 because it's all they had and still it was the Kroger brand. Speaking of the produce, it was as shabby as it gets. Browned, decrepit stuff I wasn't willing to buy. The last time I shopped there I purchased sourdough bread only to discover that the expiration date was the day I purchased it and had already started to degrade. The chicken under the warmer was so small I thought they were selling baby chicks. So, that's it for me. They have nothing at all to recommend them and I won't waste my money again. read more

Excellent deli! Love the fact that they sell Boar's Head meat. Excellent quality. The staff at the deli has always provided top notch service. They always provide a sample of sliced meat and cheese to make sure that it is the proper cut. Their bakery breads and rolls are fresh and flavorful as well. I like that this store offers self checkout. Some self checkout registers are for just a few items, while others allow for quite a few bags. There is always an attendant if you need help. read more

IF I had been allowed to give InstaCart a rating of 0, I would have. I ordered our groceries to be delivered by Instacart for the second time today. What a vast disappointment.,,,,,AGAIN. The first time I had ordered salads and some other items in December 2019. All 6 salads were severely wilted. Thankfully, Smith's exchanged the salads for us. Today's order was for over $200. There were MANY errors in the order and delivery process. First contact with InstaCart today when I called regarding basic information regarding the order. 1. I had indicated I wanted NO substitutions. I contacted Instacart regarding the problem and was told that the shopper would receive a text message to not substitute anything in the order and I would receive a refund for any items that were not available. I received 9 Substitutions. 2. My phone number was incorrect even though I received an email to indicate it had been updated. Thus, the shopper could not contact me. Substitutions -- 1. The tomatoes were orange (unripe) and were not what I ordered. 2. The bag of sugar (10 lbs) was torn open and spilled within the bag. 3. There were no ham hocks and no receipt for my purchases with the groceries from the store. 4. The orange juice was the wrong brand and type I ordered. 5. Substituted a much smaller package of Cascade Platinum Dawn Fresh Scent Dishwasher detergent. 6. The ham was from the deli and was not the type needed to make navy bean soup. 7. Substituted a much smaller quantity of Charmin toilet paper. 8. Substituted White for Wheat Bakery Sub Rolls. 9. I am allergic to Puffs tissues plus lotion that was also substituted. Other problems - 1. The 2 quart container of strawberries were crushed and spilled within the bag. 2. The delivery person did not assist me with items (bags) outside of placing them on the table after requesting his assistance. I am disabled and have difficulties walking. I have a lifting weight limit of 5 lbs. The multiple trips to the kitchen from the living room was a danger to me for falling and becoming further injured due to carrying items beyond my weight limit. 3. The 2 bags of ice had a significant amount of water in the bottom of the bags. 4. When I called Instacart to let them know of my frustrations with the order, they hung up on me. 5. I have no way to verify what the amount reduced from the price paid was what it should have been without receiving a receipt. 6. Thus far, I have not been acknowledged or satisfied with corrections to these problems by InstaCart. The type (listed above) and quantity (17) of errors within my order are not acceptable from a reputable company. I will NEVER again order from ANYWHERE that uses Instacart for their delivery service. I have notified Smith's and they have documented the problems with my order. I attempted to notify Instacart not only this time but also with the first order with what was wrong with our order and delivery. read more

Bakery is horrible !! Called for manager waited 20 minutes for someone to finally get on the phone saying they couldn't find one. I was asked to go to the register to pay for my cake because people have been just walking out with cakes.. !?? I refused since the man before me got his cake and was allowed to walk right away and continue shopping! Discrimination at its finest. Oh and the cake itself absolutely horrendous! I asked for a chocolate cake with white icing plain because I had ordered my own decorations! It was slopping and dented on the side and it was uneven ! It says they take COVID precautions but they obviously don't. I have asthma and chronic bronchitis so I wear my mask and distance as required. People can do what they want in their free time, but if I'm in an essential business, I expect the employees to observe the rules for the safety of the at risk customers like myself. I was here the other day in the self checkout and all the employees had masks on. All except the one manager at self checkout who had hers down around her throat. I kept looking at her hoping she'd get the hint. I assume she was a manager because she was talking to other employees (masked employees) about their shifts. So of course our scanner messes up and she has to come help. I thought, surely she'll pull her mask up to come over here. Nope. Came over within like 5 inches of me and I was looking at her like, you cannot be serious. Like, you work here and are obviously required to wear a mask. Why is it around your neck when you're so close to me? Just negligent and selfish. And this is their management team. read more

The store really has stepped up in wake of this crisis. Having senior only days and times is wonderful. They were also great with only allowing 25 people in the store at a time, so when 2 people came out 2 people went in. Also limiting items purchased insured more for others!
