This is for the SF supermarket on Maryland Parkway. We typically go to the SF supermarket in Chinatown but since we were on this side of the town, we decided to go grab some Asian Ingredients /cing I/ groceries from the store. Fresh produce from dragon, fruit bread, fruit, Lohan and other Asian fruits and vegetables along with herbs. They have fresh fish tanks, full of fresh fish, lobster crabs when in season and a fish counter that will fillet fry or prepare the fish for you how you like it. Great service and we like that. Huge of Asian sauces and condiments from dozens of soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili, crisp, sauces, and other sauces from gochujang, Thai, and other Asian sauces. They also carry noodles from dry to fresh anything from chow mein, noodles, fresh rice, noodles, noodles, and more. My wife loves the store because they have so many different sauces that she uses in her cooking. We love their fresh fish selection, and they also have a fresh meat counter of various types of pork, beef, chicken, not to mention fresh seafood.

Came here on Christmas Eve and it looks like some ppl do not know about it yet as it was not busy around 10am. I don't mind at all as I was able to shop without running into anyone. I was here for 2 things - a catfish and frying plus replenishing items in the house. Both were done successfully. Superman was very clean and orderly. Things were not on aisles and at end caps that you need to work around. Fish and meat areas are very clean as well. All items were all fresh. My fish was fried and done within the time promised. I was disappointed on one item, the herbs like mints were dried up and not so good at all. Cashier was quick to help. James helped me bring my items to the car as I really bought too much. He also carried the 25lbs rice for me I was given that for spending $150 or more. Lots of parking in this plaza. I hope they keep up the cleanliness of the supermarket

You get the fresh scent & impression upon entering the store. We went around noon & very few shopper which afforded us time to freely explore the entire store. Large inventories of dry & wet goods. Almost all the produce products are pre packed and impractical for solo consumers. Meat & fish offerings looked good & fresh. You can pick your fish & they can clean & fry it. We got a free small bag of rice & a small bottle of fish sauce based of the amount we spent.

It was nice to discover that SF Supermarket opened a location much closer to me, especially since I used to shop at their Chinatown store. I decided to stop by and check it out. I heard they opened around November 2025, and everything inside still looks very new and well maintained. It was a little quiet during my visit, with only a few other shoppers, but the store itself is spacious and clean. The produce section was immaculate, with a wide variety of fresh vegetables. There's also a seafood area with live fish, and the refrigerated section was well stocked with all the Asian grocery staples you'd expect. I enjoyed walking through the aisles -- from ramen and snacks to spices, sauces, and even a section with kitchen items like woks, dishware, and utensils. Snacks were plentiful -- I even ran into two customers whose baskets were filled entirely with snacks because they wanted to try everything (which honestly made me smile). The cashier I spoke with was friendly and welcoming. I really hope this location picks up more traffic, especially once nearby construction wraps up. If you're looking for an Asian grocery store outside of Chinatown, this SF Supermarket is definitely worth checking out.

This place is awesome! They have a lot of varieties of noodles, hard to find fruit and vegetables at really good prices, and everything is brand new and clean. Anyone who rated this place low is probably a hater tbh. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I will be shopping here often. Edit: Also, if you read the previous reviews that were negative it was only two things that people complained about. One was lack of customer service. The other two, was no energy in the store. You have got to be kidding me. It is a grocery store. It has everything you want and more. And when you are ready to check out there, is someone there to take your money so you can walk out the door with your groceries. What is wrong with people? These are the same sort of people who complain about the stupidest things that have nothing to do with subject itself. Do yourself a favor l -- come check this place out. It's worth it and I will definitely be back.

They also offer a lot of fresh and frozen seafood. You can find a lot of groceries from all over the word here. They also sell some home decor, some kitchenware, and live bamboo plants and an assortment of Asian Pots and Asian Ceramics. This isn't a fancy place and also seems a bit worn. When you walk in you can the remains of a restaurant that is no longer in business. This place is great but- There is so much stuff that it is actually hard to find the things that you are looking for. I also didn't notice signs to direct you to particular countries or even continents. The biggest problem with shopping here are the very tight aisles. If you see someone with a cart there isn't enough room to go around them. Checking out can be challenging for some because it is like a maze with all kinds of things in your way so you have to figure it out. They also have a lot of merchandise that you don't see it until you are on the way out.

With a small space that provides a cozy atmosphere ghat doesn't feel crowded by any means, I appreciate the genuine authenticity of Japanese culture and cuisine in this place. Their quick food to grab, especially their onigiri, is made fresh daily and perfect for something to fill you up or eat on the go. I absolutely recommend for any salmon lovers as myself to get their tray of salmon nigiri and their spicy salmon onigiri. It is nicely filling and leaves me feeling refreshed! Not only do they have fresh food but the assortment of snacks and treats are never ending. In their freezers, they have an array of frozen fish, snacks, and plenty more to look at. One of my favorite things to do is purchase their frozen fish and make my own sushi night. There are also small nick knacks to the back of the store that are worth looking at! The workers alone inside are usually always very generous and don't bother unless you need help with anything. With everything being said, I genuinely recommend for anyone who wants to find a good Japanese market and doesn't want to travel far to go to here! I will certainly be coming back soon and will be looking forward to it.

I found Nakata on Yelp. Since it's a short drive, I was off to see the sushi they had. The store is somewhat small but they have a lot of Japanese treats. There is a large section of sushi in the cold case. I picked the large package to bring home and enjoy. The nigiri was tuna, yellowtail, salmon, shrimp, and eel. The sushi roll was 8 pieces of spicy salmon. Along with the package there were small packets of soy sauce, wasabi paste, and pickled ginger. The price was $17.99. I also decided to try one of their fruit sandwiches. I got the apricot and strawberry one. It's made like a sandwich but it's a kind of spongecake. The items were all packaged well. I enjoyed the spicy sushi roll and the nigiri. Just perfect for a dinner before the game. I saved the sandwich for a treat post game to savor the food and the win. A very nice dessert. The items were bagged along with napkins and two pairs of chopsticks. While this may not be the quality of sushi you'd get at a sushi restaurant, it was certainly a step up from what is available in grocery stores.

I love you Greenland!…read more I made a terrible mistake. I decided to order collagen masks on Amazon that said Korean formula. 4 masks in and a super dry, red face later, I saw on the back in small print made in ROC. Ugh. Seriously Amazon? Never again. I'm sorry I cheated on you with Amazon, Greenland. I learned my lesson. I put 30 masks in my basket and headed for the deli. 30 masks?! Yep. They are only 89 cents, but here's the thing. Korean beauty products are held to a higher production quality standard than US beauty products. And that means I'm not going to have an allergic reaction. ROC means the ones I got from Amazon were actually made in China. Their standards are nowhere near Korean standards. Like I said- lesson learned. So I got $30 worth of masks and $30 worth of deli, and a couple Monster energy drinks for Adam. I have the ingredients to make my own cucumber salad at home, but Greenland's is so much better. I got yeolmu putnaechu- which tastes like bok choy kimchi to me. I grabbed stir fried fish cakes, which are long flat strips and are so sesame yummy. I got soybean sprouts, Korean glass noodle stir fry and kimbap. These are all serving size containers. If you love all of the little appetizers you get at a Korean restaurant - that's what these are. And they are wonderful. Take a look at the photos I took of the vegetables. They are super fresh and Greenland has some harder to find options. I looked for Asian pears, but they must not be in season. If you love Korean food, you need to go to Greenland. It's the cornerstone of our neighborhood in Chinatown.

Definitely like comparing a flagship market with the neighborhood bodega or corner store. Good selection of Korean items, noodles, sauces, peppers, you name it.. but just not as lively or glitzy as before. The little bakery and other concerns outside the store were empty. The food court was pretty busy, that's probably why the parking lot was packed. I mean it was OK, just not like the old days.
