I've been going to Smith's Landing since they were Humphrey's. I haven't had the best experiences here. I've never been wowed by their food. For their prices and beautiful ambiance, I would expect better. Fast forward to Mother's Day. (Late review I know) My mother wanted to go here for an early dinner. I wasn't happy about her choice, but hey, it's her day. After arriving with my wife we were promptly seated. My mother ordered the salmon, my step-dad ordered I forget what, and my wife and I ordered the ribeye steak. My wife and I had ordered the ribeye there before. The previous times the steaks were bland. This time though, wow! The food was super delicious! Now to the service. Keonna. Keonna kept looking at my mother. Not in a weird way, but in a I think I know you from somewhere way. Finally she told my mom she reminded her of her grandmother and told my mother she was beautiful. That made my mother smile. Keonna was also super attentive and on top of everything. Thank you, Keonna. You helped make my mom's day that much better. This experience, especially the food and Keonna, definitely ensures that we will be back. read more

The Problem with this establishment begins with the middle aged male manager. My friend chose this place to celebrate my belated birthday. I was not impressed. The food was definitely on an Applebees level and not what you'd expect from a steakhouse. Back to the manager. He greeted my friend because he knows her family, asked her if she needed a beer refill, more water. He literally spoke to her for 10 minutes and asked her twice about a beer refill until she said yes. He wouldn't look at me, he didn't acknowledge me when I tried to be a part of their conversation, and he never once asked if I wanted a refill on my cocktail or water glass. I was invisible. Then the waitress was very sweet but she literally directed her questions about refills and recommendations to my friend and not me. I literally had to ask for a refill and an appetizer. It was the most strange experience I've ever had. I was quietly erased. I rarely think that I am being discriminated against and hate to use the "R' word, but I was dressed professionally, well spoken, polite with good table manner skills, and normally people treat me with respect. This was definitely an outlier for me. My friend, the server and Manager share the same skin tone and ethnicity while I do not. The way that I was treated bothered me immensely and after a day of processing everything, I called another friend who happens to be the same skin tone as my other friend to ask him if I was "tripping". He immediately said that I had been discriminated against and that I should speak to my friend to see if she noticed and to watch her response. So I did just that. She apologized for how she subconsciously noticed it but didn't feel uncomfortable enough to step in and help me. She said that clearly realized that she should have intervened instead of allowing herself to receive better treatment than me and unconsciously condoning the behavior. I could tell that she meant it and was deeply apologetic. Smiths Landing is teetering on self-destruction by hiring a manger and staff who are making some of their good customers feel less valued than others. They are a discrimination lawsuit waiting to happen. It also showed how employees can destroy an owner's business if the owner isn't on top of things. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food is subpar and so is the service. read more

There used to be a slew of good fish restaurants along the south side of the Sacramento River, but most of them have closed (The Point, Rio Vista), burned down (The Nantucket, Crockett; Moore's Riverboat, Isleton), or transformed into something worse than before (Monica's Riverview, Antioch; The Dead Fish, Crockett). So, it's a pleasure to recommend a good fish restaurant with a good view of the water. Our visits to Smith's Landing have always been a pleasure. The food is a tad pricey but always excellent, with a decently sized and varied menu. The building itself is large, comfortable, clean, and appealing. The atmosphere is generally quiet (for a restaurant of its size) and relaxing. And the view from any of the inside window tables or the outside tables is downright spectacular. You can see clearly the harbor and the river, offering an appropriate setting for the excellence of the food. In all, I'd give the place an A-, subtracting only for the slightly above-average price of the food, which is made up for in both quality and quantity. You won't go away dissatisfied or hungry. This was a cool find for me while looking for places to eat while I was in the area. They have a parking lot pretty much for themselves and the restaurant is just by a tiny park (or walking path) and the water. The views were really nice. We were seated and helped almost immediately on a busy weekend afternoon. We got a couple different dishes mainly seafood. We waited for a good amount of time then our dishes started coming in. I had the tacos and I thought they were fine. It was a little hard to eat with everything falling out but I guess that's a given for hard shelled tacos. I did like that I got a slice of avocado per taco but I kinda wished it was mashed so it didn't keep falling when I tried to bite. I also really liked the calamari fritti with the marinara sauce and also took a bite of the fish. Overall our food was good, the prices are to be expected and the location was very cool. read more

I arrived for Fathers Day brunch with my family, I was unfortunately super hungover from the night before and was unsure if I could make it through brunch lol I was HURTING. We had the pleasure of having Tyler as our server and let me just tell you, he saved my life lol. Brought me the most beautifully constructed Bloody Mary I've ever had. He was an ABSOLUTE TREAT!!!! Literally the sweetest, funniest, just down right awesome person. He made us feel like we were guests in his own home. Aside from the excellent service the food was INCREDIBLE. So very happy with our first time experience here! I have been meaning to want to check this spot out since we've moved to Antioch. Decided to take my partner here for an anniversary brunch yesterday after church. Everyone we were met with from the bartenders who greeted us when we first came in, the older lady who walked us to our table (I wish I got her name she had such a sweet aura), to our waiter Roberto we're all so nice! There was even a gentleman who came over to check up on how things were. I told my partner you know a place has great service when you can't tell who the manager is because of how they all check up on you. Second, originally was going to order off the regular menu but decided on the Sunday brunch which did not disappoint! My partner got chicken and waffles and I got the surf and turf Benedict's. Both so flavorful and plentiful servings. Can't forget the bottomless mimosas! Plenty of food and drinks for only $44 per person is not a bad deal at all. We were sat right by the window and the morning fog finally cleared. The restaurant itself was nice. What you could expect from a steakhouse/seafood restaurant but love how bright and open it was inside from the natural light. We plan on returning for dinner and to try their steaks! We had two kids under 10, both with different food allergies, and 2 seniors who also have their own dietary restrictions. Amanda handled all of our questions and needs with such care. I also work in the service industry as a flight attendant, so I notice the little things, and I was so impressed with her genuine kindness and positive demeanor throughout our entire meal. Our drinks were never empty and our appetizers and meals were delivered timely and with precision. We had reservations for 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon. They have happy hour specials on weekends! This was a treat and we tried quite a few options: Calamari Fries - 5/5 these were perfect, not overcooked at all and just the right amount of breading. Crab Lumpia - 3/5 nothing like lumpia, they reminded us of the avocado egg rolls at Elephant Bar. The wonton wrapper overpowered the filling. Panko Prawns - 5/5 everyone loved these; butterflied and served with tartar and cocktails sauces. Alaskan Cod FIsh & Chips - 5/5 the kids devoured these from the table. OK, first of all let me just say customer service was excellent. Definitely if I could give more stars I would, it's a five star restaurant. Our server was Kiana. She was pleasant Professional, friendly and attentive. She recommend amazing food & delicious drinks. The ambience was beautiful!!! We sat outside by the water and the sun was shining down on the waterfront so perfect! It is such a really nice restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the ribeye steak, turf and surf (steak and lobster) the fish and chips, clam chowder, Chilean Seabass, raw oysters and the chocolate cake for dessert. Cocktails, we had a dirty martini And salted caramel martini. Everything was so good. We can't stop talking about our whole experience. I will definitely be back. There was live music in the bar area and football on the TVs if that's more your vibe. Our server was very busy, but attentive just enough for us. Aside from the beautiful views, the food here is unfortunately terrible. We dined here several times back in 2020, about a year after they opened, and the food was fantastic then. I also have many fond memories dining here years ago when it was Humphreys -- the food was always great. Sadly, everything has gone downhill since then. New cooks? New owners? I'm not sure, but something has clearly changed -- and not for the better. In 2021, my girlfriend and I tried their brunch service one weekend and it was genuinely awful. Canned fruit, Walmart-quality store-bought pastries, and eggs Benedict with old, hollandaise. Needless to say, I had no desire to return. Fast forward to 2026 -- I like to give places the benefit of the doubt, so we decided to give it another shot. We ordered the panko prawns as an appetizer (the only good thing we had). My husband ordered a Caesar salad, I ordered the macadamia-crusted cod, and the kids had fish and chips and mini burgers. Aside from the kids enjoying their meals, the rest of the food was absolutely disappointing. Bland, poorly executed, and nowhere near the quality this place once had. It's really unfortunate because this used to be a go-to spot, and the location has so much potential. But at this point, the views are the only thing worth coming for. I can't believe we waited so long to try this place! The food was amazing. They have a great Happy hour menu with a lot of different drinks and food items to choose from if you're just looking for a small bite and a cocktail which is great! We started with the clams from the happy hour menu. Super fresh and sweet, the sauce was really good with the bread too. My family ordered the grilled salmon, linguini and clams, and I had the lamb chops. Flavor was on point in all 3 of the dishes! The salmon portion was a good size and they didn't skimp on the clams either. My lamb chops had a great flavor and weren't gamey what so ever but in the future if I order them again I might decide to get the sauce they glaze them with on the side because it seemed to take over the flavor of the meat. our server, Sabrina was intuitive and went above and beyond for us today. There was an issue with my lamb chops coming out a little more well done than I had asked for but our server, Sabrina made sure she took care of it & that we left happy. Everything else was absolutely perfect. Overall 10/10 the food was flavorful and delicious. We all agreed we want to come back again soon. I've been going to this restaurant for many years as I always try to support local business. However, the last few times we have dined there I have noticed service has taken a dive. Last Friday, my family and I arrived for lunch. There were no crowds and no filled up benches waiting to be served. It was clear that there were open tables. However, we were told that we would have to wait approximately 45 minutes when we asked to sit at the bar we were told no, and when we asked for accommodation for my elderly mother who can barely walk, they seemed to not know what I was talking about. I stated that they needed to have a table for guest that need ADA accommodations? Again, the woman at the counter seemed confused, therefore most likely not going back. If they can't accommodate our elderly, then we won't be coming back. Hopefully the owners of this restaurant will see this post and do a training for their staff on how to treat those with mobility issues and do better at staffing their establishment. read more

We all tried a bite and still couldn't figure out what kind of mystery meat that was. Definitely not sausage. I had the grilled tenderloin steak with eggs and waffles, and it was t what i expected. Steak and potatoes were meh, eggs were there, and the waffle was so soft... no life. The fried chicken and waffle plate wasn't much better. It needed sauces just to have some flavor. And the birthday sundae? Nice gesture, but some of the toppings looked questionable. The only things we actually enjoyed I enjoyed was the fruit, lemon cheesecake and the mimosas. Also, our server Sabrina we've had her a couple of times, always attentive, amazing service. Finally thoughts. They really need to step it up. And there should be a non-alcoholic price option. Drinks -4outta5 They were all delicious w/the exception of the Peach Lemonade. The flavors were too muddled making for a very bland taste. Calamari 4outta5 Cooked perfectly, we prefer the rings & tentacles but the strips sufficed. Oysters 4outta5 Although I wished they'd been a bit colder, they were pretty good. The Asian mignonette sauce was delicious. Drunken Shrimp 3.8outta5 She enjoyed it sans the topping of mozzarella. It didn't quite complement the dish. The poblano sauce had a really nice flavor. I recently met with the dinner crew at Smith's Landing seafood for dinner. Before dinner, we stopped at the bar and I have to say this was one of the best four roses old-fashioned I've ever had. Then we were seated our server was Sabrina. We started off with some appetizers. I have to say the appetizers were really good. There was one in particular or two in particular. There were far too many lovely looking options but to name some: potatoes, sausage, eggs, salmon, chicken, pasta alfredo, pasta salad, French toast, clam chowder, baked goods assortment, green salad, tea bar, dessert bar and much more. The one oddity is I was told there was no syrup. Not sure who would serve French toast without syrup and eventually syrup appeared but initially we were told no syrup. Very nice, accommodating staff, and while I'm not sure of the actual buffet pricing, we paid an amazing price to attend the conference and have a brunch buffet for the queens court. read more

I ordered the fish and chips, and wow, it was incredible! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside -- it filled me up completely, and I enjoyed every bite. My friend ordered the salmon sliders, and she couldn't stop talking about how moist and delicious they were! You can really tell how fresh the seafood is here. Once again, Olivia (the banquet coordinator) helped put it together seamlessly. We had the Marina room for 4 hours and 2 lovely waitresses (Amanda & Allie). We had a cash bar set up in the room as well for our guests. We opted for the buffet dinner. For soup & salad, we ordered clam chowder, house salad, and strawberry salad. Our 3 entrees included cioppino, petit filet, and 4 cheese ravioli. For our sides, we had the wild rice pilaf, au gratin potatoes, and vegetable medley. Everything tasted fantastic except for the cioppino, it was pretty salty. Soft drinks, water, and coffee were also included in our buffet dinner package. Returned to Smith's Landing for my grand-daughter's 18th birthday. The restaurant sits on the water, so beautiful ambience. We had lamb chops with a delicious hoisin bbq sauce(suggested by our server) and Brazilian Seafood pasta with a South African Piri Piri sauce. Both were fantastic.
