While running some errands, my wife called me and asked if I could buy some bottles of wine for a family Versus watch party that we were attending. Ironically, I was passing by a Grocery Outlet that was celebrating a grand opening (I believe a grand opening under new ownership) with various activities taking place in the parking lot (I wish that I had time to check them out). Entering the store, I was greeted by a very organized and clean floor plan. I was easily able to locate the alcohol section that is at the far right of the store (if you're headed there from the entrance). Similar to most Grocery Outlets that I have visited, they had a decent amount of beer and wine. They also had something that I have never seen before in a Grocery Outlet...liquor (i.e., tequila, vodka)! I was able to find the exact kind of wine that my wife desired and I found a prosecco that was created by James Harden (my fellow NBA fans know who I am talking about). Unfortunately, I was in a slight rush, so I did not get a chance to fully explore the store; therefore, I cannot speak to the other exclusive items that they may stock. After my first visit this is one of my favorite stores to shop at. I got some amazing bargains. I got those $5. cans of tomatoes for only .99cents a can. I also got a big tub of gourmet long bell pepper for only $2. (a similar size tub at Smith's is around $6.) They have so much stuff here. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the wild salmon is about the same as Sprouts quality. All the staff I met were friendly and nice. Positive first: I like it that Grocery Outlet is opening in undeserved areas. People need groceries. They run a non-traditional franchise model, where the stores are company owned, but they partner with local people who function as the store owners. The rest, not so great. Grocery Outlet is like the irregular bath towels of groceries. It's a towel, it looks nice folded, but if you lay it out, it's a parallelogram and not a rectangle. Brands you recognize at at ok enough price that you're willing to chance it on one's you don't. And that's where they get you - this trick that it's the same for less. It's not the same-same. Same-ish. You can buy stuff - but, you could do better elsewhere. Selectionwise. Quality and valuewise. read more

Excited that this store opened close to my home. This store is on the corner of Craig and MLK. Plenty of parking in the large strip mall area. The layout was like a regular store but the items seemed to be stacked in random places. So, they may just be organizing still since they just opened. It's not going to stop me from shopping there. I'm a regular here and I love the entire staff, everyone is so nice and helpful. A few of them remember me personally and will ask about my kids...but Stanley is the main character! It's a good neighborhood corner store. I wouldn't by all my groceries there, like milk and eggs because they are a little high, cereal boxes are tiny but comparable to ALDI. But this place gets the job done when you need it. It seems to have the basic staples of most homes. I'm glad they opened and wish them success! read more

My bf and I were curious to see what the store had to offer. Everything was well stocked, although having been to another one in a different location, I wish that there was a bigger selection. However, being a smaller GC, there was still a large variety of goods to choose from. We made out with plenty of snacks and things we hadn't planned on getting. What made our experience 5 stars was the fact that staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had someone ask if I had already downloaded the app to save money (which I did, of course!) and then if I happened to be in the military. I responded that my bf was, and he proceeded to give my bf a veteran's discount card that never expires. In the parking lot, there is also a space designated for a veteran. My bf, who never really uses military discounts, was pleasantly surprised by this and appreciated that GC is veteran friendly. We will continue supporting GC just for this reason! read more

I like shopping here for "oh I'll try that for the price" deals. I've been able to try items that are usually overpriced at other grocery stores. It's not a place for me to do my normal weekly grocery shopping because they don't carry the same items all the time since it's an outlet store. read more

Nice selection of name brand canned goods, the staff was friendly and helpful, everything was tidy and neat. I enjoyed my visit here today and actually saved about 23 to 25% on my groceries, over what I pay at another market. So it was a good visit and I will definitely be back. read more

I like this store but have to warn people to verify the barcodes should match the items on the shelf. I went to purchase two different items and the incorrect bar codes on the items listed. More expensive than listed. I brought it to the stockers attention and management. Their excuse was new people. So now I verify before putting items in my cart as to not have problem at check out. read more

Customer service from owners to managers to staff is terrible. As everyone knows, how employees treat customers is based on how they are treated and trained - it starts at the top and trickles down. I've loved Grocery Outlet for years, and never had any issues at any other stores. I was happy to see one open near me finally as I've missed it. But I'll never go back based on how I was treated, and I was nice! Plus their prices are going through the roof now, no longer Outlet prices. Very disappointed. They also blocked me on Facebook so I wouldn't give them a bad review I guess. This is over $5, by the way. I was pleasant and greeted her with a smile, but she approached with negativity. Rant over. Dont get me wrong the store is clean, great! But the way the associates greet customers, is horrible. I have a few concerns. I am a working woman that work 5 days a week! Why is it that your customers at this specific location has to place their belongings in the front upon entering the store? My backpack, is where I keep my purse, and any other items I carry for personal use. I'm a paying customer! I shouldn't have to leave my items at the front with your associates, as if I need someone to babysit my personal belongings. What if I don't trust your associates? You see how trust works? It goes hand in hand! As customers are grouped in a category of stealing, so I'm assuming that's why personal belongings are placed in the front of the store. Which is absolutely wrong! A business can not tell a customer what type of bags to carry around, to shop! Another thing, stop watching your customers like everyone steal! As said above, I work 5 days a week, there's no need to take anything thing from this store. I probably could stock your shelves better than whom you've got stocking them! Beware Of this store, they are doing extremely shady business. 1. They have 10oz steaks on sal, that are really 5oz, you take it back for false advertising and they don't care to make it right. I also bought spoiled meats and brought them right back, and they don't care to make it right. to come and open in our neighborhood and to do bad business and not expect people to let other people know what's going on. It's crazy this place needs to be closed. also, the they are doing the employees they are hiring people working them for weeks at a time and a full schedule, not paying them what they're owed moving pay dates around and then when you ask about your money the get upset and fire you, and don't pay you all that you are owed.
