Amazing local bar! Everything I could ask for when wandering a town. They had multiple pool tables, 3 I think. A shuffle board, darks and pin ball. The bar was open and had a great layout! The bartender / owner was so friendly and wonderful. Such a great chill local vibe if you are looking to play some pool and have a beer or two. The pool tables were $2 a game and the tables were in great shape!

It was a slow day, and the food didn't seem all that complicated, so I accepted. Even with no staff, John cooked me a burger, gave me some chips, and handed it off to me. The couch was soft and pillows were plush. I was initially on the fence about accepting a free meal, but I am glad now that I was welcomed into such a vibrant atmosphere. The hospitality is a big plus. The crowds can get big in the evening, so I suggest making reservations ahead of time. The view of the Golden Gate Bridge is the big highlight as well as looking at the king fishers and blue herons. I wish they would add some aquariums. Would be a nice touch.

When we entered the restaurant we were warmly greeted. We studies the menu you on the wall before ordering. You order at the counter and then they give you a number to put on your table. When your food is ready, hey deliver it to your table. Both my husband and I ordered the 1/2 rotisserie chicken plate. You have a choice of a salsa verde or romanesco sauce to go with your chicken or pay an extra $1 for both sauces. I chose the both sauces and my husband chose the salsa verde. We also ordered a cup of the cream of asparagus soup, a side of cabbage and kale slaw and a straus creamery chocolate milkshake. The inside is spacious and has a lot of communal seating as well as smaller tables. They have seating on the deck by the water as well. We picked a table and enjoyed our view of the ocean while we waited for our food. Our food arrived hot and fresh. Everything looked so good. The cream of asparagus soup was my favorite of the whole meal. It tasted so good. Next time I'll opt for the bowl instead of the cup. The rotisserie chicken was hot and juicy. I'm guessing they give you the sauce because the chicken doesn't have much seasoning on it. I tried both sauces and didn't care for either one. The salsa verde did not taste good at all. It definitely didn't taste like any salsa verde I've had before. The romanesco sauce had no flavor. It was thick and pasty but tasted like nothing. I should have just added salt to my chicken. I ate the chicken regardless and it was good. It just needed some seasoning on it. Each chicken plate came with salad on the side, which was very good and roasted potatoes. The potatoes were amazing. My husband liked the cabbage and kale slaw and loved his chocolate milkshake. Service was very good here. They bussed our table for us when we were finished. I'd definitely come back again but I would try one of their many sandwich offerings.

After reading some reviews here I knew it was a small place, so I was pleasantly surprised I could get a reservation during our trip to Sausalito. My husband and I had recently enjoyed some caviar for the first time but we are no experts, and I was a little worried that he might not get enough to eat. Turns out we both left perfectly satisfied. The place is tiny but so elegant. The bar is right in front of the kitchen that is sparkling clean and the chef prepares everything right there. There is a little high top table too and there was a couple there when we arrived, but afterward it was just us and we felt like royalty treated to our private dinner. We aren't caviar experts by any means but Yo did a great job explaining the different caviar flights including where it comes from - turns out the white sturgeon is farmed in the Sacramento Delta. We chose the Menage a Trois white sturgeon flight and it was so elegant. Three kinds of caviar plus all these homemade breads and crackers to enjoy it with. Every bite was amazing and I think we only left a couple of chives. Afterward we picked a couple of other dishes - the Chawanamushi and the Dungeness crab ravioli. Both were exquisite- in flavor and presentation. For dessert we had the sweet potato - Yo described it as a ganache - which I couldn't really picture but it was a very accurate description. It came with asian pear and was just the perfect finish to our meal. I had a couple glasses of French bubbly with my meal - normally I can't do more than one glass of champagne but it was crisp and yummy and paired well with everything we ate. When we were finished we got our check in a cute sturgeon pulp science fiction book. It was the final thoughtful detail to a wonderful evening. Chef Lance is a real artist and he really thinks through the ingredients and the flavors. Everything was so delicious and creative. I hope we get to come back again someday.

While a few of the dishes we had heard about were gone from the menu (Mina specialties) they had a solid listing of staples and I understand they're working on formally relaunching the restaurant with a bunch of new dishes. The vibe is great (5Star) - good seating with each table having something fun to look at, be it the bar or the ocean, and the music was groovy for lack of a better word. Food was 4 stars but the steak, tipped me back into 5 star category. We had the spicy tuna roll which appeased our sushi desire, the Caesar salad for some greens, and the Delmonico Ribeye with carrots. The steak was phenomenal and I paired it with a Vesper Martini which was mixed expertly. Looking forward to coming back and seeing what the new owners do on the relaunch.

I like salads and I'm used to the opposite so I was pleased. And the salads are generous, with radish and tomatoes and good lettuce. My husband did get the fries on the last day and they were yummy - worth the up charge for sure. The burger was his favorite - he also liked his chicken sandwich but it was a little harder to eat. There was something indescribable, though, that hinted that they rely on the picturesque views to make up for food that is "good" - but not "great." Let's start on a positive note. You can't beat the view. Our server was well informed about the menu, attentive, and friendly - but unwilling to help too much with the menu selections. "Everything is good" is a bit of a pet peeve of mine but I'm not holding this against the rating of this restaurant as that's pretty server-specific. We started with a half dozen local oysters on the half shell which were actually amazing. Perhaps the most mild tasting oysters I have ever had and served with a champagne mignonette, cocktail sauce, and fresh horseradish - all of which paired nicely. For my main course, I had the petrale sole - a very mild, delicate, Pacific flatfish. While flaky and tender, it did lack flavor and was served with some relatively uninspired accompaniments - a saffron rice and some roasted vegetables which was mostly green beans and celery. One of my friends ordered the paella which he said was "great." Overall very decent experience on par with so many other coastal restaurants that know they can fill the seats with the amazing views alone. I would definitely come back - but would likely order something different... except for the oysters - those were a must to order again!
