there was a problem with a subcontractor coming in unattended and Smittys locksmith came out the following to change out my locks. I thought it was this will be a few hours but he was so efficient so nice and straight to the point highly recommended especially if you have other things to do throughout your day and are busy.

lost my keys, but they saved the day. came in about an hour, took less than a minute to get the lock open, and even made a free copy of my key. even adjusted the frame of the iron door for free. amazing! very very reasonable price too. highly recommend them! read more

Smitty's really helped me out. I was stuck outside my house because the lock was broken and they came right away to fix it. Everyone else told me I had to wait until the next day for them to come...They fixed the lock and made me new keys within minutes and the best part was that the price was very reasonable. After watching my landlord 's locksmith work on my deadbolt for an hour with no success (except destroying the deadbolt), he suggested he needed to cut a hole in the wall next to the door to unlock the door. I sent him away and called Idan. He was here in 15 minutes and had the deadbolt out of the door, replaced and re-keyed in 30 minutes. I am never using another locksmith again! read more

Idan is the BEST! I had a broken lock and called around to a bunch of different shops. Idan promised me the best work for the lowest price. He kept his promise. This is our second time using Smitty's, who was originally recommended to us by another locksmith who was overwhelmed with work at the time. The first time they re-keyed our locks when we moved into a new house. And we just called them again when we needed a new front door lock set and handle installed and re-keyed. He was very quick and energetic. Called to get a quote instead he insisted on coming in to see he lock and giving me a more accurate price. He opened the door within seconds (not even exaggerating) which keep in mind it has a dead bolt double sided lock for a business. He also recommended cutting the locks since he couldn't make replacement keys, which means I will have to purchase some new bike locks again soon. As a young woman, i felt that having a functioning key remote made me feel safer . Mr Jin came by and said that the battery was dead which i thought was very weird since he just made a brand new key 2 weeks ago?? Did he use an old battery? Or was there another underlying issue? I questioned him about this but he just kept saying it needs a new battery . He wouldn't show me what was wrong with the key, just kept going to his van to look at it and INSISTED it was the battery. It Still didnt add up to me ... Anyways he opened the key, replaced the battery and charged me $40 for his time and gas to come out to me. I thought that was CRAZY since the key was malfunctioning due to his own fault and he just replaced the battery?!!? I just paid him and then went on my way. At that moment, i knew that he lost my business moving forward. 3 weeks later my remote stops working AGAIN! I go to another locksmith and they opened up my key, showed me my remote and said that when mr. jin opened the key remote. He broke a small piece, the small piece missing promotes the battery to drain fast and/or is not allowing the battery to power the remote. They replaced the battery for me in the meantime and then recommended i get a whole new remote if the problem continues . TLDR: So I PAID THIS MAN OVER $250 FOR A BRAND NEW KEY THAT LASTED ME TWO WEEKS. HE DID NOT EVEN TAKE THE TIME TO INVESTIGATE WHY AND OVERCHARGED ME FOR A HALF-ASS JOB. Yelp was a great resource and I narrowed down my choices to LA Wifi Guys, as their information gave me the most confidence. Made an appointment and David came out. Really liked his approach. Honest and transparent and not hustling me for upsells. He described my options clearly and it was easy to decide what I wanted. Not cheap, but very fair considering the higher quality solution and more experienced installation. It actually cost notably less than my original set up, which was done 6 years ago and had less features and most of all turned out crappy. David gave me an estimate for parts delivery, which turned out to be exact, and we made the install appointment for the day after. He came in and was very polite, careful and steadfast. He also was great at explaining how to operate my new system. But most of all, weeks after the install, I am sooo happy with it! Really great setup with excellent user interface and excellent camera resolution. The existing reviews lead me to believe Sam knows quality work but, tired of being in the sun, wanted me to accept the noise. He offered to apply WD40 as a fix which I explained that was not a sufficient permanent fix. Unacceptable attitude and terrible customer experience. Update: Sam took an additional 1.5 hours; couldn't fix noise issue. Apologized for his outburst and threat of lein. Offered to: replace defective motor, but needed to take, or take defective motor and refund deposit. Pff, took deposit. I would have appreciated the apology more had it been offered sans excuses. Sam did the right thing in the end but it was a day which didn't have to play out as it did. I now wait for my deposit refund. *took a few days but did receive my refund. In the meantime I had an unsecured gate. Found a reputable company who did not require money up front. They installed a new, perfectly working gate.

I broke my car key in the ignition I called AAA they told me that the Locksmith that they're using will charge $250.00 and they giving me allowance of $100.00 with my AAA plus, so I had to pay $150.00 out of my pocket. I didn't like AAA option and I start looking on Yelp I found Smmity's Locksmith with over 250 reviews five stars, called them up spoke to Idan very professional with no gimmick he quote me $90.00 and he came to me in 20 minutes pulled the broken key out of the ignition like a pro and I have sent the recite to AAA for reimbursement.The bottom line the whole service cost me nothing by using Yelp and calling Idan of Smmity's Locksmith such a kind and wonderful man that gave me a great price and great service. I logged his info in my cell phone Contact for all my future need and I'll definitely recommend him to all my friends because he's very honest and professional. Smitty's locksmith was called after my doors were mysteriously found open on Saturday night. Nothing was taken, but it was enough for us to change the locks completely. I got his number the next day, and due to my work schedule, I was not available until later in the evening. He came around 9pm, even after I said he could come the next day, as I felt bad asking him to come so late. He wanted us to feel comfortable in our own home as the mystery of the doors was not solved, and he arrived just as he said he would. He was quick, efficient and super friendly. I can't express enough the amount of gratitude I have towards this company especially IDAN. I lost my key and was worried about having a loose key out there with some recent break-ins in the neighborhood. They were prompt getting to my house and changed all 8 locks within less than an hour!They are affordable, trustworthy, prompt, and extremely knowledgable. My husband and I needed the locks changed immediately and they were able to respond within 20 mins and all 8 changed were changed within 30 mins... I have been using Smitty's Locksmith for nearly 20 years!!!!!! Not once have I ever been disappointed with their service -- infact I would say it's only getting better! Seriously. The last couple of times I locked myself out including today - 'Idan" came within 40 minutes, got me in in a jiffy, and without blinking an eye fixed the lock that had been a bit sticky for years without me uttering a word - such old school caring service! !! They were unbelievable in helping me, getting me into my apartment when another locksmith at a different company couldn't. They realized that the only option otherwise was to break and damage the lock, so the locksmith did some quick thinking to create a ladder out of makeshift items, open a screen, and get in through the window without damaging anything. On top of that, the rates were very reasonable, and cheaper than most. Obviously very highly recommended based on my experience. read more

I just came home from a trip to find my apartment front door unlocked and slightly ajar. The plumbers hired by management left the door unlocked 4 days ago!!! Fortunately, it doesn't seem as though anything was stolen but I don't feel safe. Our HOA started using Idan (Smitty's Locksmith) to service our condo building's common area doors and locks over a year ago. He's very friendly, knowlegable with all types of locks, and responds rights away to any urgent and even non-urgent calls. The work involved changing 5 locks and fixing the entry door. Professional, prompt and very patient. I had to reschedule twice within an hour, because I was still stuck at work. When I managed to get to my apt., I gave him a call, and in 5 minutes he showed up. He asked for ID. He was quick in opening my door, even after the fact I was wrong on which way I normally turn the key--but, he had the tool to quickly fix my error. This guy Idan was terrific. I needed to have the deadbolt & door lock changed in my office. I called him @ 9:30. He said he would be at my place sometime btwn 12:00 & 1:00. He arrived at 12:45. He quoted me a price for 2 locks. When he got here he saw I had a third one. He worked with me on the price for the 3rd. He also made me 2 Xtra keys and put them on chains. AMAZING! When you pull a dumb move and forget you separated your car keys and house keys and you can't get in your own house. It was a Saturday and He came in the time he estimated which was fast. Idan was super helpful. My wife's purse was stolen at work with her keys and IDs, so we had to change our apartment locks. Idan was able to meet me at home as soon as I got back from work and change the locks very quickly.
