Very nice and helpful guy doing the smog checking. They don't have appointments, but they are pretty quick, provided the car has no problems. Their gas is also pretty cheap and had no noticeable effects compared to brand gas. read more

Since it's been two years since my last smog check, DMV required me to get a repeat. The service here was so great last time, I returned. Once again, 5-star service from Muhammed. I told him I was a return customer because I was happy with his service last time. Mentioned I went there because of Yelp reviews. $29.95 + $8 for the certificate. Absolutely hostile from the first I spoke to him. I ask him there was a line of people waiting and he said no. I filled out the paper work and he then said it would be 45 minutes. I said I thought you said there was not a line. He said again it will be 45 minutes. Everything he said was as if he was angry about something. I told him to forget it. While the shop is a bit small, the person running is kind and very efficient. He was able to complete the inspection in about 10 minutes, we had a great discussion about politics (i.e. While a bit gruff he was good at making me feel comfortable), and I came out with all the paperwork needed for a smog check. read more

Smog Check Berkeley delivered just that! The owner who serviced my car was more than friendly and could run a restaurant with his wonderful personality.
