I called over 5 local shops near me and Smog Express was the cheapest around. I came here on Friday to get my new car smogged before registering it. I was in a hurry because my car is hard to pass smog so I heated up the catalytic converters driving fast on the way there, and the tech was happy to take me right away while the car was still warm! Got in and out in under 30 minutes, will definitely be coming back read more

Called on a Sunday asking if they were still performing Smog Checks and they said yes just to come on in and said I would be there in 15 mins. Soon as I got there I was helped by Leo who was fast friendly and welcoming. I waited at most 10 minutes if that , I recommend this place to those who are looking around for one! read more

Great place to smog! Always friendly, great prices! The staff is willing to negotiate to keep my business. I like how they do things by the books, even if my car failed the tech explained the reason why it failed and they also explained why it was important to fix. My PCV hose was broken and the tech gave me a cheaper, discounted retest because the fail was a simple fix. I really appreciated that. I will keep brining back my families cars, and I will recommend this place to everyone I meet, at the very least, I know they're honest technicians. read more

I'm so glad I checked out Yelp before going to get a smog check! I passed probably 5 or more other smog check stations on my drive here, but I'm glad I didn't go elsewhere! There was just one person getting an oil change when I arrived. I only had to wait a short while before he was able to smog my car. Once he showed me the cost I was shocked! Just $43! Plus they offer a yelp check in discount, so my total was just over $38. He told me it would be 12 minutes and out of curiosity I kept an eye on my watch. I was out of there in less than 10! First time I bring my car here.. for a star certified smog which turned out to be quite fast compared to other places I've been. This place also has a good price of 40 cash out the door which isn't bad at all. Conveniently located in the Mobil gas station pump some gas and you're on the go. :D My little car passed. read more

James is a very humbled guy, who treats people with respect and has a sense a humor. As a new customer who has moved to this area and jumped on Yelp to find a near by Smog location and found four star rating, without reading any reviews , I took a ride to his shop. I soon as I arrived , he guided me in as I pulled up, and got straight to business. we engaged in some small talk while he continued through the smog check with such ease, as if he lost no step in completing his task. As a 70 something year young man. I was jollied to have meet him and also admire the fact that he has taken on kids through adoption. So cool !!! At this point, I'll likely look elsewhere or use a professional detailer for exterior care because I'm trying to protect the paint on a newer vehicle.

I brought my car and Bill the owner inspected the Xpel stealth paint protection film on my front bumper. There was damage, but the ppf shielded the paint from any scratches to my midnight silver paint. The price seemed fair and I quoted the price to the female who backed into me and she zelled me the money directly verses me filing a claim against her Automobile Club insurance and penalizing her with a higher premium. I made an appointment the following day and brought my vehicle in the following week. The car was ready the same day and the employee's at Transhine did a excellent job replacing my ppf on the right front bumper and I can't see any remnants of were the ppf was damage. Anyways I was very impressed with Bill's instinct to go and immediately go & offer help without hesitation. We need more people like Bill, truly a great man. When a different guy came in to take my payment I asked "Why would he rev my engine like that?" He stated its to check for leaks. These guys are hacks. I was an ASE certified technician in my younger days. You don't rev an engine like that ever especially when it just had the oil put in. I will never take my car here again. There wasn't one technician over 20 years old. Bunch of little kids that don't know what they're doing. Probably caused damage to my engine. From the time I got there until the time I left all of them kept staring at me and my wife. Either they are really smoked out or don't know about making people feel comfortable in an establishment. Pay the extra $10 and go somewhere else.
