Good car wash. I've been a monthly member for over 4 years. Employees keep the area clean. Vacuums are good (most of them). It can be a very busy place. Weekends especially. CROOKED THIEVES. DANGER TO CUSTOMERS. Beware! This is a corrupt establishment. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY, TIME AND SAFETY. UNBELIEVABLY NEGLIGENT! It is no wonder these self service car washes pop up all over Whittier. Business owners take no responsibility for any damage to cars (which apparently there are several from what these employees shared with me). First off, the attendant did not know what he was doing from the start. He didn't even give me my premium wash supplies (which I paid for) so I figured he was new. I sensed something was wrong as soon as my car began its wash on the tunnel track. I felt dizzy as if the car was shaking. All of a sudden the car gets stuck. I was terrified I could get injured or possibly rear ended. It felt like being stuck in an elevator. Same attendant who misguided my car at the start came to take a look then ran for someone else. By the look on his face I could tell there was something seriously wrong. "Esteban" came by to take a look and held my steering wheel as he and I steered my car with great force onto the track. It was super noisy to get the car into place. At this point it appeared it was never on the track in the first place, I would have definitely heard the car pop off. As he and I were both steering, I heard a loud pop and a crushing sound. It turns out my tire got sliced and the bumper, ripped off. Esteban claimed from the start of my conversation with him that I drove my car off the track at the beginning of the wash. How in the world could I have done that if it took him and I a great deal of effort to get the car on the track and it was noisy as heck? The car's position was crooked and off kilter to begin with. He then claimed by holding the steering wheel I was responsible for the misalignment. Drove out of the tunnel and surveyed the damage. All Esteban offered was for me to call Roadside Assistance and for the car wash manager to call me back which they never did. He said they would review the camera footage but I have yet to hear back. Their employee at the top of the line up is completely responsible for misguiding my car and utterly negligent in failing to ensure it was situated in the correct manner. I filled out an incident report and there is NO CONTACT NAME, INFORMATION NOR DAMAGE POLICY ON THE FORM. I went to look for Esteban and he conveniently left for the day. "Charlie" then came to take a look at the ripped bumper and said he would come back to film the damage but never did. All they have working on site are a bunch of young kids with no regard for safety or customer satisfaction. Sadly there will be a time in which they'll encounter a safety issue worse than mine and they won't have the capacity on site to handle it. Worst experience ever. The kind roadside assistance agent from the awesome Brea Tow analyzed the tire and stated that because the tire was steered onto the track, a huge tear formed and blew out the tire. The movement of both employee Esteban and I steering caused the back bumper to collapse. All this to say I'm out of pocket for the autobody work to and tire replacement at the hands of this lousy company. read more

This is the go to wash! Never had any issues. Its gets very, very busy! Car comes out nice and shiny and price is pretty much like most in areas. Service is Service. Just hand signals. Lol They have the blow dry tool by the vacuum. I really like that thing for all the crevices. read more

Good day, we have been frequenting this car wash for about 4 months now and we were going every week consistently but we had skipped the past two weeks because we noted that one of the spinning apparatus in the buff tunnel was missing some spinning plumes and we experienced some scratches on the molding over the wheel wells. Today we returned to find issues in the car wash tunnel and buff tunnel, spinning apparatus were inoperable in both. The tunnels also were short in staffing, but I do understand that it's the end of the spring semester and many are graduating. I truly hope that things are better next Sunday when we return. read more

I should have listened to the negative reviews!!!! On Wednesday, Feb 25, 2026 the spoiler of my CRV was ripped off by the mechanical wash system mid wash. Wendy, the manager, would never return my call. Finally emailed me a response: "we are not responsible for any damages that occur due to loose spoilers, moldings, bumpers etc. The only reason why the spoiler came off is because there was existing damage or not attached properly." My spoiler was never damaged before. The car is only 3 years old. They have video footage of it being ripped off and me stopping the car to run and get an attendant, and they still deny responsibility. The attendant was kind enough to try and reattach it so I could drive home safely and not get ticketed. But the management...Straight lying! Never going to this place again. And spreading the word. I went in there today to get my truck washed. I normally get the $20 or more. I noticed that my tires were about halfway. I asked the young gentleman what I saw in my tires, and he said, "Don't worry, when you park." I'll go out there and brush again. A young lady was talking to the young man, and I'm thinking I got the young man in trouble. I went and spoke to the lady and asked her whether I had gotten this young man into trouble. I told her about my situation, and she was so kind and sweet, and she said, " Oh no, we provide the best service we can which really made my day. Needed a wash and the usual spot I go to was closed...so I head over here for a quick wash and what a horrible mistake that turned out to be! Paid 20 bucks for the buff and shine or whatever it's called. At the end of the wash I noticed my trim on the passenger hanging off. I pulled out to the vacuum and noticed it was bent off.... Told the worker and they said they can't do anything about it. Came home and noticed the front license plate was all bent up and license plate holder was broken off too. I have been going to this place for 7 or 8 years now. Contrary to what other people complains about, I never had issues about damage to my car. It is great for a quick wash. Every now and then I get the buff and shine as well. Their pricing when compared to other local car washes is pretty reasonable for what you get. The employees are not very warm- but I did not come here for hospitality lol I just want to get through that tunnel and be done with. People who are complaining about damage to their cars- make sure your cars are well made too. Do not expect poorly built Tesla to not have an issue- actually for any car washes that you would go to. read more

Friendly & helpful staff ! The vacuum suctioning is super strong which helps the interior look amazing! First time in the polishing tunnel and it makes such a difference. PLEASE READ. I do not recommend this place. On 01/10/26 I was in a car pile up inside the carwash tunnel because the driver in front of me stepped on his breaks. It was in that part of the tunnel where you are not able to see out of your vehicle due to the soap suds. Not that it would have mattered because the situation was unavoidable. I inevitably hit the car in front of me as the conveyor continued and the car behind me rear ended me as well. At the time of the incident, the manager, Wendy Cuevas, said she would release the video footage to my insurance company and it has now been more than 30 days and no response. She has ignored phone calls and emails from my insurance company and has been unresponsive to me as well. She is now telling me that they are under no obligation to release the video. She is hardly ever on site and they have young inexperienced teenagers running the place. Ironically, this was my first experience taking my car to an express carwash where you remain in your vehicle and are 100% reliant on the carwash for the safety of your vehicle as you go through the tunnel. Needless to say I will never go there again. I also recently learned that other express car washes monitor the tunnel and are prepared to stop the conveyor to prevent a car pile up in similar situations. Not Buff-N-Shine though. I also did some research and it appears that Buff-N-Shine is a one location operator; meaning the owner owns only this one car wash and no others. That explains a lot about how poorly the operation is ran. It is owned by Arad Enterprises (Calif. Corp. No. 3871661). Worst business ever. I took my tesla to wash and it automatically kept turning to Park in their rail as it seemed like the car was detecting something was wrong. Their manager immediately tried to blame me and first thing she said was you will be responsible for all cars behind you so if there are damages. She threatened me in front of my young kid and their first reaction was to blame and try to clear themselves of any responsibility. She said YOU should have put your car in car wash mode ... there are no posted signs to do that! Only to put your car in neutral gear. Dont go here, especially if you have a tesla. read more

It's not the "best" DIY car wash out there, but I have been to worse. My usual go -to DIY car wash is Blu Express in Placentia, but this comes to a decent runner up. I just came back from a road trip and my car was covered in kamikaze bugs and bird poo. I splurged and got the 2nd best wash for $13 which came with a goodie bag with a microfiber cloth, air freshener (smells like apple?), and a wet wipe for the dashboard. I would give this 5 stars if my car came out decently dry... but they use a air dryer instead of a soft cloth dryer that Blu Express has, so my car was still pretty wet coming out. Good thing Bubbles has a huge drying/ vacuuming bay area because I had to spend a few minutes wiping down my car with the micro cloth. There was a polish station as I was exiting. I am sure that cost more. Overall, it does a decent job, and much better than the DIY car wash located down the street off Idaho. I'd come back if I didn't want to drive to Placentia. read more

Car wash 4/5 Overall I'm really satisfied with this drive-thru car wash! I enjoyed that I was able to ride in my car during the car wash. To purchase all services available the total cost was only $20 (this included the buff and polish). They also provide you with a microfiber cloth to wipe the inside or outside of your car with. The do-it-yourself vacuum stations were really easy to use and had very strong suction. My only recommendation would be to bring some window cleaner (Windex) to wipe your side windows with at the end of the car wash! I went earlier in the morning so it wasn't too busy yet. Later on in the afternoon the line gets a bit longer. I definitely recommend coming in the morning, the earlier the better. I'll be coming back to Bubbles soon! read more

Great for a quick car wash, but that's about it. It's still a lot better than the quick car washes at the gas station tho. Your car will still be dirty in multiple areas including the windows and windshield and some other spots or where bug splatter or bird poop was. I've tried anywhere from the $6 to $25 options and it's been more or less the same type of outcome. I guess you can't expect too much for a machine. Vacuuming the car yourself is okay but I wish it was a little less bulky so that it could reach crevices like in between seats. All in all, great for a quick car wash. read more

Quick and easy drive thru car wash. They have been crazy busy the last month during the summer but the lines have been moving pretty quickly. The cheapest wash is $7 which is consistent to the surrounding similar car washes. It's a good wash for what it's worth to get through the week. read more

If I could give 0 stars (for the fault of the employee), I would. I have a membership here and have had one for a while. I have a longer vehicle, and each time I'm going into the buff area, I ask them to please make sure they spray my whole vehicle. The blond tall kid is EXTREMELY RUDE and purposely does not spray even half my vehicle. I finally had words with him after being nice so many times. He told me, "Whatever, I don't care what you have to say." I have attempted to contact the manager several times and never receive a call back. They continuously give me a pamphlet with a number to call, and I get nowhere. I attempted to speak to this kid after parking, and he just walked away telling me, "Whatever, have a good day." It is a little pricey: basic wash is $9, mid level is $12 and the top tier wash is $20. Last time I didn't say anything but now it's just out of control maybe I need to get the D.A.'s office involved since this has to do with credit card info and Identity fraudulent info. What a joke. Beware!!!!! I was a good honest customer for over a year. I had two incidents that cost me more than I was interested in spending. 1. The polishing wheel ripped my windshield worrier off. They denied my claim and I paid $75. I formed the cheek. 2. I drove my kia into the wash. The worker may have lined me up improperly. Not sure, but I never had an issue. I washed 2 times a week usually. My valve stem sheared off on the washer tracks. one of the workers watched it happen and said nothing. I caught it while pulling out on a complete flat tire. They denied denied denied. Said it was my fault. Cost me 100 to fix. I canceled thereafter and they lost 1000's in monthly service cost. Bottom line. This place ruined my roof rash because the kid made a mistake. Now my roof face is bent out of place and they won't replace it because it's aftermarket. I can show proof that I ordered the vehicle from the manufacturer either way a roof rack and they want to assume I added it after market. Guess I'll get my lawyer involved. read more

This car wash is COVID-19 friendly! We have used this car wash about 5 times and each time there has been a short line (sometimes no line) in the weekday afternoons. The prices and range of washes is excellent. You can get a very basic wash for $6.00. The actual car washing tunnel is longer than most other tunnels that I've been to, so hopefully that means a cleaner car. There are plenty of vacuum stations and we've never had a problem with them being filled once you exit the washing tunnel.
