I ordered the 1 lb of prime smoked brisket, yes a whole pound because I make good life choices, it came with Texas toast and coleslaw. The brisket? Melt-in-your-mouth magic. The kind of food that makes you close your eyes while chewing. Then I built my own bowl like I was on a episode of Barbecue Showdown-- mac & cheese base, smoked brisket (again, because why not double down), fried onions, hot Cheetos, and pickles on the side for balance (health, obviously). 10/10 would build again. PLUS they had a buy-one-get-one on craft beers, which felt like the universe saying "you deserve this." Beers were ice cold and went down way too easy. The environment was super welcoming, with a chill outdoor seating area that's ideal for get togethers. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and genuinely seemed happy to be there. You can really feel the good vibes. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to with friends and family. Highly recommend
Always close parking for me. Restaurant has always been kept up, clean, and spacious. Service has always been great for me; inviting, welcoming, friendly, nice and professional. Was definitely my go to spot for a brisket grilled cheese sandwich with Mac n cheese on the side. Haven't been able to locate a spot since.
Good food and great music! I loved the vibe of this place, especially the outdoor indoor concert. The food was also amazing. Prices are reasonable & the workers were patient and willing to answer any questions. So glad we stopped here! They also have lunch specials.
Smoke & Fire has always been a family favorite, so I was excited to see a location closer to home--no more driving to La Habra or Anaheim! We've tried the Big Texan, Brisket Quesadilla, Smash Burgers, and Texas-Style Brisket Fries--everything was delicious. The brisket is super moist and not overly salty, and the BBQ sauce is spot on. Portions are generous, so come hungry! Only downside: the waffle fries don't hold up well--definitely best eaten fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations. Overall, a solid spot for BBQ cravings!
The flavor was there but the details missed. The food took 25 minutes to come out even though there wasn't a lot of people. The staff were really nice though. Plenty of parking, beer selection & inside/outside seating. Smoked Brisket Fries -- the brisket itself had good flavor along with the bbq sauce. It was super tender and moist. They barely put any cheese on the fries, which was a bummer. The fries themselves were so hard they had a crunch and felt like chips that I ended up leaving most of them. Pretzel -- soooo delicious, soft and fluffy. The cheese has really good flavor it just hardens really quickly so make sure to eat first. Texas Beef Brisket Grilled Cheese -- this was a win. Really complex flavors with the good brisket. Nailed it.
Ordered takeout and tried the vegan mushroom burger - it was good but could've used a bit more sauce since it was a little on the dry side. Definitely my fault for not going for one of their meat options - the BBQ smelled amazing. I'll definitely come back to try the BBQ next time!
I will say the food was good, the brisket was super tender, flavorful. I loved the waffle fries, very crispy and yummy. On the other hand, my server was not friendly at all, even though I told her this was my first time here. It was like she did not care at all. The tables were dirty, I had to clean my own table. I might return again to give them a second chance but just because the food was great.
9/10 Brisket Quesadilla - $13.99 (before tax). The outside is super cheesy. So so so yummy. It gives it a crunchy texture. It comes with a ton of brisket as well. 8.5/10 Mac and Cheese- $5.00 (before tax). I love the noodles they use for this mac and cheese. Its pretty cheesy and full of flavor. I warn you that they throw tons of pepper on the mac and cheese. Personally, I love pepper so it didn't bother me.
3 jumbo chicken tender: Not the same anymore... !!! My family and I used to love their chicken tenders but it's not the same anymore!! This is the second time we felt this way. Last time we let that go as maybe it was just that time but it happened again today. 1. They're still jumbo but so thick and the bread wasn't on one tender. And bread fell off from 2 other tenders. Not crispy at all. It's like we were eating non-breaded chicken tender with no flavor. 2. We like their pickles so we order an extra pickles as a side for $1.50. Then we didn't have any pickle slices in our tender boxes that we ordered. 3. The toast was on the bottom of the all 3 tenders so by the time we got to eat, it was so soggy. We were so displeased with our order today. We really liked 3 jumbo tenders but we WILL NOT order them ever again. We normally enjoy everything we order here but we started questioning today. So disappointed..
Honestly, this food is super duper delicious!!! Seriously, comfort food on steroids. We have tried quite a few items on the menu. But, so far all time favourite is the mac and cheese brisket. Perfect. We usually do take out, but we always get our food in a timely manner. It the food is always hot. Perhaps one day we will dine in, so I can't comment on ambiance.
So so so good. The portions are huge. So sharing is the way to go. The lemonade is not too sweet... so that means it was perfect. It's a family ambiance. The staff is nice and polite. It's Pat at the register, get a number and they bring to your table. Casual, laid back and everyone is easy going. All in all a good place.
I was in the mood for brisket, we were in the area and had about an hour to eat. We found this establishment and decided to try it. They have a good size parking lot in the back. Bbq smoke is billowing out the top of the restaurant. I took this as a good sign. Once inside you order at the counter, then they give you a number and you find a table. I had the half pound brisket plate with a side of Mac and cheese. My daughter had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, medium heat. My wife ordered the smash burger. They had quite a few craft beers on tap. Villains west coast ipa is what I chose. Maybe 15 minutes our food is brought out. The brisket was 2 giant slices. The meat had a nice bark, the meat is pull apart tender and the flavor is perfect. Sliced pickles coleslaw and a couple of slices of toasted bread are served on the side. The Mac and cheese is creamy. My daughter's chicken sandwich is spicy. I tried a bite and the heat was present but not over powering. The spice level was perfect for a medium. The waffle fries were good and served with a side of ranch. The smash burger was really cheesy. The melted cheese with the crispy meat patty was outstanding. I was really surprised and impressed that 3 very different meals were all executed perfectly. A smoked meat, a fried chicken breast and a flat top grilled beef patty. Bravo to the kitchen staff. If we are ever in the area, we are definitely coming back.
My husband and I are new to the area and my cousin recommended Smoke and Fire. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by one of the nicest host/cashiers, Ms. Judith. She was so kind and offered great recommendations since it was our first visit. We already knew we wanted brisket, but we were pleasantly surprised to see a smash burger on the menu (our absolute favorite type of burger). We ended up ordering the smash burger and the brisket plate. Since that first visit, we've come back and ordered the exact same thing because it was just that good. The smash burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly for us. It wasn't greasy, and the soft buns made it even better. The brisket was super tender and smoky, and when paired with their BBQ sauce, it was absolutely delicious. Even the slaw that came with it was surprisingly good, and not every place gets slaw right. The dining area is spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot for groups, dates, or even a casual meal alone. They also have a wide variety of beers on tap. (I don't drink, so I can't say much more than that, but the selection looked impressive.) Parking is available, though the lot is shared with other restaurants. It can get a little packed during certain times, but it's manageable. Overall, we're so glad we found this place. Friendly staff, amazing food, and a welcoming atmosphere make it a spot we'll definitely keep coming back to.

I ordered the brisket burrito and 6 oz prime smoked beef brisket. The brisket MELTED in my mouth omg it was so tender!! I'm not sure when they smoke their meat but it tasted like it was grilled to order with how tender it was. The burrito was the size of my head, it definitely can be split between two people. I love the cheese crust on the outside and the brisket was glistening! The brisket plate is good if you want a bit of everything as it comes with the toast, pickles and coleslaw. The service was good, our cashier was super friendly when I asked questions about their lemonade. It was relatively clean, someone was always bussing and wiping down tables. There's a parking lot outside where you can easily find a parking spot. read more

Came here on a Thursday afternoon at about 5pm. Wasn't too busy and yet it took a while for someone to meet us at the register to take our order. When they did arrive the person helping us was very friendly. Ordered 2 orders of the 1/2 lb brisket and beers (was buy one get one free because of happy hour) The brisket plate was not good. The brisket was very dry, the corn bread looked so sad (see picture) it looks like it was just broken off by hand and not even plated nicely. The coleslaw looks like it was just slopped on the plate and was bland. Will not be coming back and I do not recommend this restaurant. read more
I would've given them more stars if the service was better. Came in, wasn't greeted even though there was a worker working by the front door. Had to interrupt them to ask where I should order. They pointed me to the register and told me to wait for the cashier to get there. I head to the register and get in line and the cashier comes shortly after. We make eye contact. At first I'm standing there looking at the menu, but she says nothing to me. She doesn't call me up, she doesn't say she's ready whenever I am, doesn't acknowledge me, nothing. After a few minutes I ask her if she was ready, and that I was standing there and she says she didn't see me. Perhaps the worker was having a bad day, perhaps there needs to be better customer service training, who knows. Anyway, I got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and unfortunately the chicken was dry and the bottom bun was soggy. We sat in the back patio and there was a swarm of bugs flying in the center. I kept feeling like I was getting eaten by mosquitos and kept seeing bugs fly by my friend's hair! They did have ample parking and a lot of seating, both inside and outside, which is nice, and a happy hour drink menu, but unfortunately due to my experience, I won't be returning. read more

I'd been wanting to come here for a very long time. I've been following their Instagram account and every time I see their posts I literally drool So, I was super excited to try their food. It's self serve, but they come and check up on you frequently. The food is really good, and the portions are pretty good sizes. I had the brisket tacos which were really yummy and very filling. I've yet to try their other stuff. So far we all loved it! I'd say when you go here make sure to not eat anything before. You gotta come hungry! We came here to refuel after a hike and everything we order hit the spot! We love the activated charcoal lemonade and all our food orders. The mac and cheese side was so rich, we shared it easily. I highly recommend the brisket tacos, 6oz brisket and Dino short ribs! Beware the grilled cheese is deliciously, really really cheese, but a little too oily for me. I wish they had an establishment in NorCal especially since they do catering trays! read more

This is our second visit to Smoke & Fire, the 1st being back in Nov 2021. I'm giving the restaurant 4 stars overall. The first visit earned 5 stars and was excellent...the most recent visit in Feb '23 however only earns 3 stars...averaging out to 4 stars. 1st visit Nov '21: Everything is super good! Flavorful, cooked well and seasoned perfectly. We had a grilled cheese, smash burger fries, waffle fries and the stockburger. We walked away anxious to come back. 2nd visit Feb '23: This time we try the brisket quesadilla and west coast smashburger. We were also given fries on the house, which was very nice of them, and asked to review them on Yelp. The quesadilla was quite good, but the fries weren't as crispy or flavorful as the 1st visit and the smashburger was quite disappointing. The patties had little to no seasoning...and weren't even smashed?! Its literally in the name to smash the patties...so needless to say we were disappointed. We have recently been on a "best burger in LA" challenge and have been to Heavy Handed, Burgers Never Say Die, HiHo and Easy Street within the last few months...this burger unfortunately can't make the list. Maybe it was just an off-day for the kitchen as the fries and the burger patties on the first visit were really good. Not sure if we will be back or not. read more

Been wanting to swing by since it's between home in Long Beach and work in South Gate. Finally did and it did not disappoint. Smoke and fire was delicious and our woman with many hats, Summer, was killing it at recommending delicious food and drinks, Taking orders and running food. Even helping us out with ordering drinks for happy hour. Don't miss it. Brisket fries and d Nashville chicken sandwich with a salad (cuz healthy). Boom. So good. Chill dining-room experience with pop a music and comfortable seating. Only critique is we drove by and it looked like it may be closed. Never fear, chicken n brisket is here. Check it! read more

WHERE DO I BEGIN??? My love for bbq surpasses any other food category started at a young age. After a long day of celebrating my brothers bachelor party, we were STARVING and DESIRING just for some SWEET meat, something that would quench our desires we stumbled upon here! The service we experienced was phenomenal!!! Greeted and taken a order from Gabby! Yummy and tasty. Everything is seasoned with some spice and black pepper. The meat is served dry with sauce on the side. Kids burger is amazing and the portion is pretty large for a "kids" meal. Sometimes I find it difficult to find bbq on the west side at certain hours and this place has great hours and on top of that amazing quality brisket, smash burgers and fries. Diamond was awesome!!! She provides such great customer service. She was nice and very helpful. We were indecisive, so she helped us, which made the experience very pleasant. We ordered the 6z brisket, thinking it was more than 3 pieces. It was a bit dry, so I didn't really enjoy it. The cabbage was good. We also got the street corn. It had crispy onions on it, which made it super tasty. We got the chili as well. We thought it was saucey, but it wasn't. Like kind of a dry chili with bread. I felt like since it came with bread, it should be wet. Lol that way, the bread can be dipped in the chili. Oh well... The Mac and cheese was good. My mom liked it. Lastly, we ordered the brisket fries. This was probably the best. The brisket was good. The fries were somewhat cheesy. I felt the cheese should be on top of the fries instead of at the bottom. Had to try to find the cheese lol I find it strange how they charged for hot sauces...like huh??? Overall, food was alright, but I don't think I will return. read more

This was my first time at Smoke & Fire and it was a good experience! I went with two of my friends, one of which is vegan. I ordered the hot nashville chicken sandwich and shared an order of the brisket Mac. In contrast, my friend ordered the Rudy's vegan stacked sando with waffle fries. The portion size was generous and very filling, we ended up sharing more of the sides and even took some food home. Environment and ambiance wise, the restaurant is spacious and has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating! It was a chillier evening so we sat inside, but the outdoor area was well lit and decorated nicely. The restaurant was about 1/3 full on a Sunday evening but the noise level was minimal, great for catching up with friends. Parking wise, Smoke & Fire has a ton of spots in the plaza so it was accessible and easy to navigate. read more

This was probably the best of the best times I've came here, it was beyond words, the brisket is always good but today was just perfection! The toast and coleslaw was a great pairing and the bbq sauce was yummy too but u don't need it at all with this melt in ur mouth meat. read more
This is my first time here. They specialize in brisket. I had mine over waffle fries with barbecue sauce drizzled on top. It was very tasty. The waffles were crisp and held their shape. There were a few pickles on top of everything. They have refillable drinks , you help yourself. I asked if you got anything from checking in on Yelp and she told me to check in right in front of her, so I did. Then she gave me a free drink. I thought that was really nice. There was some fat on the brisket, and you can't see it right away. It would've been better if it was trimmed off. other than that it was perfect. read more

I'm giving this place three stars because of the service. They almost messed up my order because two parties both had the same number. Also, their soda fountain area was a bit of a mess. Other than that, the food was delicious. I got the grilled cheese. It had a nice cheese skirt inside on the edges, and there was so much meat that I had to eat it in two meals. I'm so glad my friend recommended this place. They have a lot of items on their menu so I will definitely come back for more. read more
Food here is FIREEEE! They are generous with the meat, super friendly and quick. There's indoor and outside seating! They sometimes have a fantastic live band. If you can, try and save room for dessert. Trust me, hands down, come hungry! Stopped by for lunch because we were in the area and had heard of the original Smoke & Fire. The menu looked stacked and we had a hard time deciding (limiting ourselves). We weren't super hungry so we settled for the brisket quesadilla, hot chicken sando, and kids cheeseburger. Everything was super well-presented and tasty! The hot level for the chicken sando was perfect for me. En fuego would have been a struggle. The chicken was pounded really thin so it wasn't the juiciest but it was still very flavorful! My husband really enjoyed the quesadilla as well. We'll be back for sure to try The Mac Rib and more! The staff was also super friendly and helpful in giving feedback and helping us decide! read more

They always have plenty seating but give them a call! I'm pretty sure they can accommodate your party
How spicy is the food? Reviews are about people that work there - I want to eat great food.
The food is really tasty. You can ask for spicy levels but by default it's very flavorful. Specially the Nashville chicken you can get it extremely spicy.
What is the happy hour specials / prices?
4-6 pm and 9-10 pm on alcohol . I believe it's buy one get one free
Does the Paramount location offer weekday happy hour specials?
Yes! We offer happy hour on pitchers and wine from 4-6pm and 9-10pm every day.
It says brisket tacos for $12.99. Is it one taco or two tacos for $12.99?
Sorry for the late reply, but you will get 3 tacos and I believe you can have your choice of meat. I got the chicken and it was amazing
