Waiter said it would be out soon and 15 mins later still nothing. People that came and ordered burgers after us got served. Cooks were laughing and joking around in the kitchen, at one point neither were there. Person who seemed to be the manager made our poor server come tell us it would be a little bit longer. Went in. Sign said to "seat yourself". Went up to empty table to sit down. Worker was removing two of the four chairs. As we sit he says "oh this is reserved." The bar tender greeted me with a smile and a welcoming "How can I help you?", and best of all they had Cali Creamin on draft! Don't let the location fool you. It's tucked away attached to a gun range building. All of the food was incredible. We had three different items and we recommended every one of them! The atmosphere was simple but clean. The service was fantastic waitress was very friendly. However, the food was very bland. Ordered a medium Burger came out pretty much rare. They fixed it and replaced it which was good. The French fries were good. We upgraded the onion rings and they weren't cooked all the way through. They needed to be in the fryer a little bit longer. My burger had guacamole on it, and I love guacamole and realize that sometimes it can turn dark. But this was beyond dark and it was processed it wasn't fresh. If you are basing the place on the service it would be five stars, but since I'm basing a lot of it on the food I'm only giving it three. read more

New place down the road. Restaurant in the bottom floor of the gun club by Top golf. Visitors we had in town made us go there twice because thier salads and thier seasond fires were great. Wow! We were starving amidst our holiday shopping and decided to check out Smoke & Grain. Our server/bartender was Patrick and he was absolute delight. I was having experiencing a hypoglycemic episode and he was quick to get an order of fries in and delivered to us. When I tell you these fries are amazing, I mean it. We avoid seed oils whenever we can and were thrilled to find out these are cooked in beef tallow! My husband had the ammo burger with onion rings and I had the carne asada bowl. We randomly found this place while looking for a new burger place to try. It's situated right in the san tan village area right between the topgolf and main event. We noticed it was quite clean right when we walked in. Both of the waiters were very kind and attentive. The food was great. The chips and salsa had a great kick to it, and the portion size for it was quite good for it's price. The burger tasted good, though I will say it was a little messy to eat. The frys and onion rings were both fantastic and had a very good texture. I could definitely see myself coming back, especially to grab some drinks next time. read more

Took my son here for lunch after looking for someplace we hadn't been yet that was rated highly. I suppose I was a little concerned that the food wouldn't be that good after finding out it's attached to a gun range? Probably too many bad memories of very low effort food at the range when I was a kid. This place is absolutely legit. I got the Ammo burger and my son got the S&G burger. Both were cooked perfectly and served on a nice brioche bun. The fries appear to be lightly battered and they are a really nice combination of crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Came in to do some shooting with my friend and girlfriend so we knew we needed to check out the restaurant connected to it. We ordered the pizzas and even tho they took awhile to come out in the mean time they brought us an appetizer, dessert option, and $30 in store credit. Not only did they do this but they also gave us a free hour of range time and 50% off the bill. Will definitely be returning because despite the slightly longer wait we were never forgotten. Really good burger spot! It's a huge size probably 1/2 pound. Comes with a yummy sauce too. The fries are incredible, super crispy and fried in duck fat instead of seed oils which I love. I was in F&B management for over 25 years and the one thing I learned is loyalty is key... once you lose the loyalty of your number one customer, your staff, than you've lost all integrity in the business..... you will never gain anything from mistreating staff.... We had read reviews on Smoke & Grain so after a Hale Center concert gave it a try. The Best!!! Had Chicken Egg Rolls as starters. Awesome. Found this restaurant looking around the area on Seed Oil Scout when I was at Top Golf, looking for dinner. Not only did Smoke & Grain not disappoint on their beef tallow friendly food options, but the staff and GM were amazing. The GM, Grayson, take the time to talk to us and ask how the food was, but he shared with us his passion for healthy/quality food. We could feel it the minute you walked in. Everyone including our server was amazing and friendly. I will be going back regularly with friends and family and it's worth the trip from anywhere in the valley. EASILY the best burger and fries I've had in 6 years of living in Gilbert. I'm a teacher, and my buddy and I were on limited time. After reading reviews and wanting to try, we called the restaurant and spoke to Adam to see if we could order ahead and have our food ready to eat when we arrived. Adam was amazing. He took our order, gave us no grief, and within 2 mins of sitting down, food was in front of us. Obviously, customer service was top notch, 5 stars. Now...come to the food, the burger was a perfect medium temp, juicy AS HELL, and so damn flavorful. I get my burgers very minimalistic....gimmer bacon, cheese, and that's it. I wanna taste the BURGER. And taste this burger I did. Very nicely seasoned with a delicious char flavor. The bacon was crispy, almost over done...which I like. Bun was toasted, almost too much...but again, I loved it. The combination of char and crunch and juices....SHEESH! So damn good. And they're HUGE 1/2 pound patties. Aside from the burger, the very well seasoned fries were piping hot and amazing. 15/10 WOULD RECOMMEND! To top it all off, Adam gave a couple hard-working teachers a bit of a discount and thanked us for coming in. He and the staff earned some new customers today and we will be singing praises to everyone we can.
