Waiting for baseball game....Service was great at 4pm. Ordered the Mac Daddy w/pulled pork- good. Cheesiness was different from my SWest upbringing. Pulled pork, brisket and turkey was so good - very juicy! A lot of the time with turkey & chicken it can be dry but not here. Beans were a lil spicy for me but my partner loved it.

We tried their Chicago Restaurant Week menu and got to choose from some of their popular items. For $45, we got an appetizer, entrée, drink, and dessert. The brisket was pretty tender, but I would've liked a little more flavor. The sides were okay--I usually prefer sweet baked beans, and theirs were smoked, so it was an interesting new flavor. The banana pudding was scrape-the-bowl worthy--definitely recommend!

This BBQ place across the street from Wrigley Field has a great menu with dishes that give you the flexibility of trying several of their smoked meats and terrific sides. If you like Smokey sweet baked beans with pieces of brisket throughout, you'll love these. The coleslaw is perfect, not too saucy, yet creamy enough. The brisket and the ribs are standouts here. The space is wide open so you can see all the Wrigley Field action throughout your meal. The staff is very professional and welcoming. The service here is reason enough to come.

Good food, great views! Directly across from Wrigley it's a perfect spot to pregame before the cubs game. Ordered the smoked meat platter and easily fed 2 people. They were out of burnt ends this particular day but I would recommend that smoked meat first. Service was spectacular as well! Our waitress Kass was so awesome, sweet and had great recommendations. Highly recommend

We visited Smoke Daddy when the kids weren't really feeling it at the Christkindl market. The Christmas decor was great. Our server Juan was *amazing* and we had a great meal. I had brunch and everything was so good. The bacon was perfect. The hashbrowns were very well seasoned and flavorful. The pancakes were good and the monkey bread was perfect! I had the breakfast sandwich. I had no idea brisket, eggs, American cheese and bacon would be so perfect together. Definitely a fun Sunday stop!

This was so much food that I had plenty left to take home as well. The brisket deviled eggs are so delicious! The loaded fries are worth ordering. The little city eats has to be the best deal on the menu. It comes with so much meat. Honestly that was my only meal that day because I was so full after! The plate comes with 3 types of meat with 2 sides. I chose the brisket, cole slaw, and cornbread. They have an assortment of bbq sauces on the table. My favorite was the blazing hot sauce with the mustard sauce in 2nd place. The banana pudding is delicious. Presentation points for the banana pudding cause I was not expecting it to look so nice.

Going not during Cubs traffic is key. Unfortunately, they were still out of the burnt ends though. The Daddy-O brisket and sauce were pretty good, definitely the favorite item. Hot links, pulled pork, and Mac were all just classic - pretty decent. The beans had meat in them and were actually kinda different and really good. Overall was impressed by the price and quality for a Wrigley BBQ place.

After touring Wrigley Field, our group of 11 headed over to Smoke Daddy for lunch, and it couldn't have been a better choice. They had no problem accommodating our large party, and the entire experience was excellent. The food was amazing. We ordered the "Taste of the Daddy," a massive tray loaded with brisket, pulled pork, a full rack of ribs, half a chicken, hot links, mac & cheese, pit beans, and more. Every bite was packed with smoky flavor, but the ribs and pit beans were personal standouts. Absolutely delicious. Our server, Sydney, was fantastic, fast, attentive, and full of great recommendations that helped us navigate the menu. She really added to the experience. My only complaint was that I wanted to buy a Smoke Daddy 94 t-shirt, but there were no XL sizes available. It was a bit disappointing since we came all the way from California to visit. Note to the manager: please consider stocking more XL shirts. Overall the vibe inside is fun and casual, with a cool neighborhood feel and a definite Cubs connection. Don't be surprised if you spot a former or current Cubs player grabbing a bite. Whether you're a local or just in town for a game, Smoke Daddy is a must-visit in Wrigleyville.

Smoke Daddy did not disappoint. Stopped in here after visiting the Wicker Park location a few years ago. On this occasion the Bears were playing. Several TV playing NFL games playing. We were served by Colleen, who was also making fierce drinks. For cocktails we grabbed an old fashion and Cubbie blue margarita. We went straight in for bbq which was delicious. Hubby and I both ordered the two meat platter which includes 2 sides. I got the ribs and brisket with beans and cornbread. My husband grabbed the brisket and pulled pork. We both enjoyed our entrees. The beans were impressive. I also killed those ribs. Nice date night and really enjoyed this restaurant.

The location and vibe are 4 stars, the service 4, and the food 2.5. Seeing as the food is the most important factor, the great location, ambiance, people watching, and clean bathrooms were offset by slow service and food served cold. This is BBQ. Also disappointing was the funky, anemic looking brisket served cold and the everything else on the plate. The pulled pork was slightly better. I guess good enough for a pre game but not otherwise.

One thing that I've always liked about bbq food, is that it's always cooked before. The main protein of your dish has is usually smoked and ready to be served way before. So it's always been somewhat of quick meal. But I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're trying to get something to eat before a Cubs game. We were fortunate enough to be given a seat. It was definitely packed, but waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive. We ordered Brisket Nachos and a Brisket sandwich w/ fries. But our food was nowhere to be found. We were assured we wouldn't miss first pitch. We definitely missed the first pitch. Our server lacked a sense of urgency and seemed scared to ask the kitchen. He mentioned the they get mad when you ask them. The worst part of this entire thing was the food. I will admit, I do get impatient at times, but all that frustration goes away when a delicious plate is placed on my table. Not this time. The food game cold, like it was sitting for a while. The brisket sandwich was also cold and tasteless. Like I had mentioned, we ordered the sandwich with fries and got Cole slaw. Our server said he would bring out the fries...he never did. If you're going to have an operation across the street from Wrigley, you have to step it up big time. Should be able to handle large crowds on a consistent basis. Will definitely not be returning here.

Finally made it here after living around the corner for the past year - glad it's so close after knowing it's a great spot! We walked in an hour before the cubs game and they sat us (4) right away, service was pretty quick given every table was packed. It's a great pre-game atmosphere, sports TVs, fun music, friendly service, and great food. Most of our group got the brisket sandwich, I got the pulled pork, everything had a nice smoky taste and there were a bunch of yummy sauces to choose from. My favorite was the Sweet and Smoky. I recommend coming here for a game day or happy hour! They're reasonably priced for BBQ in Chicago, and I haven't had any comparable BBQ in the wrigley area read more

Came here for brunch with my family and had an amazing experience. Ivan was our server and he was truly incredible. His attention to detail and level of service were unmatched. Even though he was clearly busy, we never once had to ask for anything! Our drinks were always full, breakfast meats were constantly refreshed, and everything stayed perfectly replenished without us lifting a finger. Brian P you cannot say we didn't come in the restaurant cause he has the receipt to prove it. You are a terrible waiter. You should not be allowed to work in the service industry.. you do not how to treat Black people and that is a no no it is 2025 and you should be ashamed of your goddamn self. Now when a white couple came in he was Mr. happy go lucky oh, would you like to try a sample it is this, but you never offer it to the Black people. You never came back once and ask how was the food now I'm ready to tell you how to food was the food sucks. It's not even real ribs. They taste like they was put in the oven with that bogus barbecue sauce taste like chili powder. The beans was even terrible. You don't have to worry about us coming back up in this restaurant again and every chance I get I'm going to shame the restaurant, for even hiring t you work there. they should've never hired you. I had the BBQ Burger and it was fantastic. So much flavorful pork on top of a juicy burger. The fries were divine, as well. It's a Cubs night game, so very busy. Bri was very quick with service at the bar. It's Wrigleyville - the adult Disneyland with Gallagher Way now added. Awesome lunchtime fun! Came here about a month ago on a Sunday morning with my husband and parents because we wanted to eat before spending time at the Wrigleyville Christkindle market. We had amazing service, and the restaurant was decked out in cute Christmas/winter decor! My parents have been here plenty of times before, but neither my husband nor I have, so it was the first time for us. When we got here, the restaurant had just opened for brunch. We sat downstairs near the windows, and we ended up having a great waiter named Preston, who was so personable and friendly. He made so many jokes and sweet comments, and he really made the experience a lot of fun. As for food, the brunch menu is a little confusing because the menu doesn't say you can get any of the brunch entrées a la carte, but Preston allowed us to do so because we didn't want to do a family style breakfast. I ended up not getting anything on the brunch menu, but the rest of my family did, and they loved what they ordered. I ordered the cajun fish sandwich, and it was amazing. It was so full of flavor and seasonings, and the sweet potato fries were delicious, as well. I was able to put hot sauce on my sandwich, too, because Smoke Daddy has multiple different bottles of their own crafted hot sauces at every table. We all ended up ordering Smoke Daddy's Famous Bloody Mary. I was the only person who ordered it spicy, but it wasn't too spicy, though it had a perfect balance of alcohol and bloody mary mix. The bloody came with a smoked rib that came RIGHT off the bone. YUM! Overall, I will definitely be back here because the food was great, and so was the atmosphere and service. I'm not sure how it is on a busy night or a weekend, so this review is strictly about my experience during a dead Sunday morning. read more

Smoke daddy is such a cozy vibe place to come with friends, families, or even date night. The service is friendly and kind. A group of my friends and I came here roughly 40 minutes before closing and they sat us down which was so amazing of them to. Definitely order the nacho, it's delicious. Some of the meats we got were really tough and wasn't soft off the bone which was a bit disappointing. We really enjoyed their spicy bbq sauce over all the other sauces they had. We also order drinks, and oh my lord. They are strong asf my friend. Watch out when ordering lol read more

Had a nice dinner at Smoke Daddy after touring Wrigley Field! This spot is right across the street from the historic ballpark and offers a decent spread of BBQ food. While there were a fair number of options, I was craving nachos, and they did not disappoint. You get to pick your meat on these nacho, even though they come with a sausage chili, you still have the option of chicken, brisket or more sausage. The chili had giant chunks of sausage in it, so they don't skimp, and the brisket was melt in your mouth tender! The serving was massive, far more than I could tackle on my own, but I did my best. They've got a full bar and a good selection of local beers both on tap and in cans. Staff was friendly, and quick to help with anything we needed. With big screen TVs everywhere you look, this is a great spot to watch any game. Added bonus, the tour guide told us by showing our tour tickets at the restaurant we'd also get a discount! Overall, it's a nice spot, and would recommend. read more

Came here after going to the Christkindlmarket st z Gallagher way. Have never been here before and finally tried it. Was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Really great staff as well. I got the pulled chicken sandwich Carolina style and really liked it. The sauces were all really good. My husband got a pulled pork sandwich and like it as well. We are from out of town and meeting a friend. He had a great experience. The drinks were great and food was phenomenal. The atmosphere is very inviting and well worth the walk from our hotel. I had the Ron's. I cook my own normally and I'm very critical of Morse ribs. These were well seasoned and cooked properly. The sauces had great flavor and add to and did not detract from the rib flavor. read more

The location of this place alone gives it five stars. Get an outdoor seat on the second floor and enjoy the game on the big screen. We aren't big on the pig and the many options were pork meats. We started off with drinks (iof course) had a very tasty cosmopolitan every bartender seems to have their own twist on the standard ingredients. This one was a winner. They were out of the wings and seemed to have been for a while so we went straight to the entrees. We got mahi mahi sandwiches. Nice char, perfectly done and not over cooked. I wasn't thrilled on the corn bread personally, tasted warmed up and I didn't care for the jalapeños but that's me and you are you. Tasty sandwich, perfect people watching view and drinks! I was looking online for a place with brunch and bottomless mimosas, and came across this place. Colleen, our server, gave us an overview of how it works and made sure our mimosas were truly bottomless. The brunch was a great deal! Lots of food and all delicious. Upper level was booked for a party and our party of 3 came in without a reservation. Hostess was pretty rude and said our only option was to sit at window. We looked around and there were tables open. I finally asked again could we be put in a wait list and she said maybe 30 minutes. Manager came over and magically we were seated. Open air patio across the street from Wrigley Field. Clean, seated promptly. Ordered a two meat plate with moist brisket and baby backs (upcharge) for ribs but you get a half rack and wife got the burnt ends. Burnt ends were the best of the BBQ with ribs good but too much sauce. Brisket only passable as it was cut on a meat slicer and cut the wrong direction. I did not remember this place and certainly did not remember coming here, at all. But I figured my 4 star review from the Obama years must certainly be 5 stars for 2026, since restaurants are so inconsistent lately. I was right. The half chicken was smoked *perfectly.* It was fatty and crispy, but it was not doused in oil the way so many restaurants do these days. And even if you remove the skin from your chicken, the flesh itself was tender but firm and flavorful - even the breast. Plus, if you have leftovers, it reheats very well and kept its crispiness and moisture. This time they did have St Louis ribs, of which we bought a sampler. I'm not a pork person these days (I don't digest it well) but I had a bit and it was great. Too bad I forgot about this place relatively close to me. I would have purchased a lot of smoked chicken here over the years. But I look forward to making their chicken a staple of mine. The prices are super competitive, too, especially for the quality.

When I find myself thinking of a return trip while still there, you know for sure Offset BBQ delivers! I ordered the All Beef Platter, and got the Brisket Chili (upgrade) as my side. The sausage was fantastic! It had a snap which made all the Chicago Hot Dogs within a 20 mile radius jealous. Inside was a maximally savory, salty but not over-salted filling. The kind of meat that needs no sauce. Then comes the brisket! A lovely piece of meat that was so tender, looking at it and licking my lips caused the meat to start falling apart. I also loved that it was a good balance of meaty and fatty bits. However, there is a small 'but' here. For my taste, the brisket needed a very light sprinkle of salt. No matter, with the help of the sauces the brisket leveled up enough to take on any boss battle thrown at it. Speaking of sauces: The KC Style and Hawaiian were both good. Both were sweet, and had some tang, though, it seemed the KC had a slight edge in the bold department between the two. A sauce I loved though was the Chicago White, a fantastic Horseradish and Mustard sauce that was unique, interesting, savory, fresh, and a little spicy. The kind of sauce I want to buy a container of and take home! For my side, I upgraded to the bowl of brisket chili. I loved this so much, I may just order this as a main on a return visit. The chili did not at all skimp on the meat, which was tender and flavorful. The use of beans, corn, and veggies were there to help accent everything else, and were themselves cooked perfectly. Kudos also for the inclusion of a couple pickled jalapeno slices. My heat tolerance may be too high to feel a burn, but the crispness of acid did wonders! The included coleslaw was one thing I did not love. I appreciated that they were not heavy handed on the mayo, and the dressing overall was light in quantity and consistency. However, the cabbage was sliced as if by a sleep deprived stagiaire who has yet to master knife skills. The slicing was terribly inconsistent, with some pieces being way too large. For dessert, I ordered the Blueberry Handpie. This was so much better than expected! The crust was flaky and wonderful, and the filling had plentiful sweet blueberries. This dish also excelled in its execution. The cast iron pan kept the pie warm, and the ice cream was such that didn't melt right away. I also loved that the blueberries weren't screaming hot and exploding with lava. When it comes to the service, the bar-server was fantastic. She was kind, friendly, and attentive. Food came out pretty fast, too, considering how fresh everything was. Finally, while I did not make laps around the entire establishment, the vibe has just the right intersection between BBQ and Rock & Roll, with the music playing at the perfect volume to be appreciated while being not at all intrusive. Final verdict: There are many who sing the praises of Smoque BBQ, which is a great spot. However, between the two, I prefer Offset. Other than a sloppy-chopped Coleslaw, the experience was fantastic not only in the food, but in the execution and the thought put into the experience.

I generally don't have an appetite for bbq and wrigleyville to be honest but a friend of mine invited me to check out Smoke Daddy and all I can say is how FANTASTIC it was. From the decor to the service down to the food everything had bite. It's not your typical sports bar... The ambience is cozy and tastefully decorated, the food is so flavorful... from the baked beans to the ribs to the mac and cheese.... so so good. And as far as the drinks are concerned... I'm sober - so I stuck with mocktails, and I can't describe in enough detail how great they were. Carl, our Bartender, offered to "whip us up something delightful" and he fulfilled that and then some. I ended getting his contact so he work a private party for me coming up and 'whip us up' some more of his drinks because friends, they were that good! Big kudos to Carl and Smoke Daddy. Two stars cuz the place is cool. Cool mix of texture, color, and culture. The drink menu is rather small for a bar, and very expensive. Less than sub par beer list, especially for the amount of travelers coming through the area. Yes, I realize it's in Wrigleyfield, but it's still a small drink for a solid $2-3 more than anywhere. Ordered 1/2 smoked chicken, cornbread and Mac & cheese... chicken is very Smokey, but dry. Almost flavorless. The cornbread is also pretty dry. The Mac & cheese is OK. Other dish was a pulled pork sandwich, which, even smothered in sauce, remained flavorless. Had such a huge portion that was burnt (and I mean BLACK, stuck together burnt), that it made up 1/2 the meat of the sandwich Decent fries. Don't even get me started on all of Chicago serving Pepsi!! Smoke Daddy BBQ is a solid, average spot with some highs and lows. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the whiskey selection was impressive. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable, which added to the experience. As for the food, I found it a bit hit or miss. The burnt ends were a little fattier than I prefer, and while the BBQ sauces were above average, they didn't completely make up for the rest. I also ordered the "jalapeño beer cheese" appetizer, which, although tasty, was served cold in a ball like a cheeseball. It wasn't what I expected and felt a bit odd for BBQ fare. All in all, the friendly service, solid drink options, and decent environment kept it from dipping below 3 stars, but the food itself prevented me from rating it any higher. I went here a few weeks ago with about 9 other people and came for the "bottomless brunch". The food was very good but it seemed like the bottomless part of the brunch was intentionally being slow walked. When we ordered our first platter of breakfast they only brought one tray of food for all 10 of us that had maybe 5 pancakes, 3 pieces of bacon 2 sausages and hashbrowns (which were very good) which wasn't enough for the table and had to ask for another. A lot of the items didn't come out together so it was hard to eat all the breakfast items together. My eggs came separately (and were cold) so I ate pancakes while I waited for hot eggs. Over all the food was great, just wish the food had been more plentiful. Would go back again. read more

Very rude waitress, she came over and Instead of being polite, she barked at me, that I was at a reserved table.... I hadn't been approached previously so I thought she would take my drink order but instead spit fire at me and walked away... moments later some meathead beard freak approached saying I had seated myself improperly and that I would have too leave. I let him know that basic customer service would go a long way and he dismissed me, so I left... it's crazy to me how poorly I was treated when no hostess or anyone had approached me to seat me accordingly... I will never return to this bar....i would give them a lower score if possible... read more

We smelled BBQ from down the street and had to stop in and so glad that we did! We got a 1/2 pound of pulled pork and Mac and Cheese and we also got the loaded fries and a burger with coleslaw. Everything was delicious, but I could've eaten a whole plate of the Mac and cheese. Everything came out super quickly and the servers/hosts were super friendly and helpful. I think it's fair to say Smoke Daddy really is the grand-daddy of them all. From their menu of exquisitely smoked meats to expansive list of refreshments, this place really has it all. We go here often for their brunch! They have really delicious monkey bread, hash browns, and pancakes. They have really good Bloody Mary's with lots of thick meat as a garnish. It's a great location if you want to come for a baseball game and walk around wrigley. Staff is always friendly. read more
