The atmosphere and service are excellent. Our friends really enjoy this place, so we've been a few times over the last year. I personally wouldn't pick it as a first or even second choice. The good, beyond the service and atmosphere--the onion rings are really tasty, as are the fried pickles. My daughter ordered the cornbread which was also tasty, especially with the special honey pecan butter. On one visit I ordered the signature ribs, and they were oddly dry, but also "fall of the bone". I can only guess it was because they sat under the warmers for too long? This last visit I had the make your own combo with pulled pork and BBQ chicken. The chicken was the star of the show, it was juicy and well seasoned. My husband ordered the chili this time, which he did enjoy. Last time he got the turkey, which he thought was a bit dry. The regular sides are good, but not show stopping. Will we be back? Had the BONE FIRE GRILL!!!! WOW! YUMMY!!! The smaller one had approximately half rack ribs, 4 chicken wings, 1 smoked sausage, about 5oz grilled chicken breast, about 5oz sirloin, some potato wedges and side of grilled peppers onions!!! It was ~$43 and from the online pics it looks like the bigger one is probably double everything for about $67. Next time I would prob get the bigger one and take any leftover home. This thing will hopefully be a permanent menu item! The best meal I've had out for good American food in a long time! Shout out to the waitress Alix too! She did a great job! My advice is don't do it. Go to City BBQ instead. Brisket was super dry and tasted like someone spilled the salt on it. Pulled Pork BBQ was dry and tasteless. The "premium" Mac n Cheese tasted like Kraft Mac n Cheese with a little shredded cheese half way melted on top of it. read more

We hadn't been there in over a year due to bad experience last time with cold food. We went Saturday because everybody but them was crowded, Now I know why. We were seated within 20 minutes. Ordered food right away. Ate our salad and waited for food. Waitress said food would be ready soon. Well after waiting she finally brought our food. We got the bone pit which is supposed to come with the pit smoking and hot. Our food was Lukewarm. Before we finished eating it was cold. I would say it sat for a while before they brought it to us. There were no red-hot charcoals in the pit even. We finished eating and had to wait on waitress for the bill. Finally, I approached another waitress asked for our bill. My husband and I haven't been to Smokey Bones in a while. While we were out we decided to go. Instead of dining in we ordered to go. Why should I have believed the order would be right? The only items prepared and tasted half way decent and I do mean half way decent was the jumbo wings and bacon cheeseburger for my husband and son. I ordered a Caesar salad. Very simple right? I ask who can't make a salad? The lettuce wasn't fresh, tasted like it was a couple days old. Nothing I ordered was on the salad. I asked for no croutons - what did get? Old lettuce, croutons, and a bunch of Parmesan cheese one would use to sprinkle on a bake potato and cup of horrible dressing. The food was thrown in the bag, didn't look appealing at all. Normally the food is ok at best - just ok. Are you short staffed? Are there new folks working in the kitchen? Did the cooks quit? Food costs entirely too much to receive less than par food. Taste and presentation means a lot to me. What we received especially the head of lettuce was awful. I threw it a way. The kicker -had the nerve to ask for a tip. Believe me if there was an option not to leave a tip - there probably is, I would have declined. When a restaurant is busy and even when it's not - that's the time to make sure presentation, taste, and temperature of the food is above standard. At the very least managers should inspect the food and co-sign BEFORE the food leaves the kitchen. If that was done on a regular basis that's a start. I don't plan on going to the place again anytime soon. Possibly never again. Extremely disappointing experience. Might want to have corporate cooks pay a visit and retrain the staff or call Gordon Ramsey AND Jon Taffer. Ridiculous! read more

Well well first time at Smoky Bones not too bad, just not my favorite. The briscut was a little dry to my tasting but the pulled pork was right on. Mac and cheese was OK but could have used more cheese, it was a little dry for my taste. Great service. Clean restrooms. If I go back I will get the pulled pork and give the chicken a try. A few days before Thanksgiving I made at reservation for 7pm on thanksgiving. I was never notified that they would be closing at 7 on thanksgiving and the reservation was never cancelled. I walked in and the host said "we are closed, we close at 7" I was confused why a reservation was able to be booked at the time they close and there was no apology or anything, another person working there tried to explain their holiday hours and essentially acted like I lied about the reservation. It's one thing if the app that is used for reservations wasn't updated for the holiday hours but someone working that day should have seen the reservation and called me to inform that they won't be open at the time of my reservation, and an apology would of been nice for the inconvenience of me showing up when they are closed. I got a text to confirm the reservation and continued to get texts asking if I was still coming after I left. Very disappointed in how this was handled. read more

I tried this place out for lunch today. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. It was good. The place is huge. They even have a bar inside as well. I feel the prices are a little pricey. For a buffalo chicken sandwich it was $14.99. I asked for a buffalo chicken sandwich with ranch and they forgot my ranch. I had to ask again for it. There was two of us meeting for lunch and the waiter assumed it was all on one check in which we then had to ask for 2 individual tabs. I give this a 3 out of 5 stars since I feel like the service could have been better today. read more

The food was good. The roasted banana pudding on the other hand was awful. The chunks of banana were hard and not edible. I was told by staff that roasting the bananas would make them hard. Roasting food does not make them harder. Roasting bananas should bring out the sweetness and make them soft. Time to re-think this dessert read more

Our visit was disgustingly and disappointing. Service was very slow, We ordered the bonfire a separate entree. The entree arrived hot but the items on the bonfire were not. The manager said they may have used leftover chicken from another meal!!! Which is why it was cold but that did not explain why the rest was cold and the sausage was burnt. Pros: The food was actually quite good. Nothing on the plates were a bad taste or temperature. Cons: We never received any silverware, not even after we got out food. I had to get up and grab some from the hostess stand myself because our server, who was also tending bar, didn't show back up to our table until probably 15 minutes (at best) after we got our food. Even after we got our check she never came back to retrieve payment. It's not all her fault. She was legitimately busy back there. But then why were we stuck with a server that can't help us? The bathroom REEKED of weed. As in someone probably lit one up within 10 minutes ago reeked of it. I'm not a prude or even anti smoking it but I'd also prefer places I go to not have a huge stench of ganja while I'm eating there. Overall the negatives outweighed the positives here. Between feeling deserted by the staff and wondering "If the bathroom is like this what's the kitchen like?" I don't see a reason why we'd come back. read more
