I told myself when I got terribly order a salad. Why didn't I listen to myself?? The bone fire was a rip off with nothing good to say about it. The little pieces of food they give you. The chicken was frozen Tyson and the steak was a cheap grade of steak. The ribs were extra small and not good and dry. This is not impressive at all. The atmosphere was nice but the service was horrible. We had a big party and we all ate at different times. Our drinks came late as well. The only thing that was decent was the cornbread. This is not real barbecue. I have been to bigger establishments and at least they have the smoke smell in the building and the taste is in the meat. I'm Surprised this place is still open.

Happy Hour Margaritas....

Stonecrest, Ga location. Authentic flavors of BBQ sauces! Smokey Wings were great. Happy hour drinks were nice also!

Dropped in for a quick working lunch. The service was fast but very boring. Our waiter was dry and not friendly (not rude either). He would walk up and just remove stuff off the table and interrupted us eating and talking to hand him a straw wrapper on the opposite side of the table. He didn't check on us too frequently but he was visibly available if we needed it. He gave us very much "I'm here so I don't get fired" vibes. The food was good: got the lunch special chicken wings. It tasted good and was worth the price.

We stopped by and decided to place an online order for pickup while sitting in the parking lot. After waiting until the designated pickup time, we went inside--only to wait an additional 30 minutes for our food. Once we finally received our order and returned to the car to eat, the experience only got worse. I had paid extra for seasoning on my fries, but they came completely plain. Not only that, they were incredibly hard and stale--as if they had been sitting out all day. Even my toddler wouldn't eat them, which says a lot. The mac and cheese was overly mushy, and the brisket bowl was missing the brisket entirely. It was just mac and cheese with beans--definitely not what was advertised. To top it off, the restaurant didn't have air conditioning, and with temperatures outside at 90 degrees, the inside was uncomfortably hot. While the place may look decent from the outside, the overall experience--from the long wait and food quality to the uncomfortable environment--was very disappointing.

I was meeting up with someone for drinks and the restaurant we went to had an hour wait, so ironically we ended up at Smokey Bones. Now they may have royally screwed up my online order that one time, but the bar service was A-1! We came in and overheard the hostess tell the couple in front of us they can sit at the bar and if they want a table, it would be a 30-45 minute wait. If you are coming to that area to dine or have drinks on a Saturday evening, try to make a reservation because if not, you may have to wait. We found two seats at the bar, sat down, and Jo Jo greeted us right away. She told us that it was Margarita Day and they had $4 Margarita specials. Say what?! Yes, please!!! They also had food specials but I just came for the drinks since I had already ate. We both ordered the regular Margaritas. She asked if we wanted salt or sugar on the rim and I declined both. Now usually when the drinks are cheap, there isn't much alcohol but not those margaritas! The drinks were strong! After a couple of sips, my eyes were getting low. After two drinks, I was feeling good, feeling great! I told her I was done but my friend ordered another drink. When Jo Jo brought his drink, she brought me another drink as well. She had forgotten I didn't want another drink and she apologized and told me she got me. I was not complaining at all because I did drink it. So we had three drinks each and when the bill came, Jo Jo only charged us for five drinks, that was thoughtful of her to not charge us for my third drink I thought I didn't want but slurped down anyway. I don't know if the $4 margaritas are only on Saturdays but if you want to get out and have some good, cheap drinks, in a setting with a nice vibe. go see Jo Jo! She will take care of you.

Wings with no seasoning or sauce. Sauce not enough for 12 wings!

I am absolutely livid and beyond disappointed with my recent experience at Smokey Bones. I ordered wings with lemon pepper seasoning and BBQ sauce -- a simple, standard item that any competent kitchen should be able to get right. When I got home and opened my box, I was shocked to find that not only were the wings completely plain, but the sauce and seasoning were served on the side in the tiniest portions imaginable. To make matters worse, the amount they gave me wasn't even close to enough to properly coat twelve wings. It was laughable -- as if they expected me to finish preparing my own meal at home after paying full price for theirs. And if that weren't bad enough, they actually put my Coke Zero in a soup bowl. A soup bowl. I wish I were joking. Who in their right mind serves a soft drink like that? It's unprofessional, careless, and flat-out bizarre. At that point, I honestly started questioning whether anyone in that kitchen takes their job seriously. When I called the restaurant to address this ridiculous mistake, I expected at least some effort to make it right. Instead, the manager, Vincent, told me the kitchen was closed -- despite the fact that there was still nearly half an hour left before closing time. That excuse was unacceptable. If the kitchen is still open to serve paying customers, it should also be open long enough to correct a mistake they made. I didn't mess up my order -- they did. And yet, they had absolutely no interest in taking accountability or offering any sort of meaningful solution. This is not just about the wrong order. It's about the complete lack of professionalism, quality control, and respect for customers' time and money. I wasted gas driving there and back, spent money on food that wasn't even close to what I ordered, and was then told, essentially, "too bad." The apathy and laziness are astounding. I've been to Smokey Bones before and, unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've been disappointed. But it will definitely be the last if this situation isn't rectified. I expect a full refund or for my order to be remade properly -- and I expect management to actually acknowledge how poorly this was handled. It shouldn't take an angry customer review to get basic customer service or decent food preparation. Smokey Bones, this experience was embarrassing for your brand. Your staff's carelessness, from the Coke Zero in a soup bowl to the pathetic portion of sauce and seasoning, shows a shocking lack of pride in your work. My inconvenience needs to be fixed -- period. If this is how you treat your paying customers, you'll keep losing them. I deserve better, and so does every other customer who trusts you with their time and money.

I had a business meeting and when we came in the manager greeted us and made us feel welcomed. Our waiter was Greg and he was AMAZING!!! He was professional, attentive, and quick with our request. The best service we've had in a long time. When you come to Smoky Bones ask for Greg! The food was hot and fresh and made to order and it was a chill vibe with a bar inside.

Almost forgot to take the pic..DE-LISH!

In the 5 years I've lived in Georgia I've been to COUNTLESS Jamaican food spots. I didn't think…read moremuch of this spot from its outside appearance but when I entered...It felt like I was transported to Negril. The furnishings, the colors, it's a Total chill vibe. I asked for the 1/4 chicken with bread, a jerk patty and some cocoa bread. I remember it taking a minute to come out but WHOAAAAHH waaaaas it worth it! This spot has THE best jerk chicken I've had since I've been in the state of Georgia HANDS DOWN. Sooooo flavorful and falling off the bone. The jerk patty was even crazy dope. It was so good that I ate it by itself and was about to toss the cocoa bread I purchased with it on account of my full stomach but something said...ahhh might as well try it first... The first thing that I noticed was that she placed the patty in a bag I've never seen in a Jamaican restaurant. It was paper on the outside and aluminum on the inside...thus keeping the bread soft and heat intact. Then I bit into it...ohhh my frickin GOD! This place is amazing. Stop reading this and just GO....mic drop.

After a visit to Kroger one day and seeing Tropic Jerks next door, I figured I'd come back one day and check them out. Which I did one early weekday evening. First impressions were great when I walked inside. It wasn't a large space, but the huge wall mural of the Johnny Bus was a beautiful sight. The large windows made it nice and bright in there, the pops of yellow, green, and red were all nice touches. Very refreshing! There were two other parties in the restaurant before me so I hopped in line and checked out the menu. It's always so difficult for me to pick out what I want to eat and the specials menu made it even harder. I ended up going with jerk chicken, figuring that I'd be back again to try more options another day. Pricing was decent but I think that I'll try to come during lunch time to check out their lunch specials. After I ordered my food, my name was called about 10 min later and I grabbed my food and headed home. After finishing errands and finally getting home and ready to eat, I opened my takeout box and what a surprise I received. There was no jerk chicken but... OXTAILS? Omg. God favors me so. To the Tropic Jerks team, pls forgive me because I absolutely sat there and ate it lol. I enjoyed them! I'm sure the jerk chicken would have been great but I have no complaints obviously. Next time I go back, I sure hope they don't make a wonderful mistake like that again. ;-)

I was given a start date, only to later find out that the establishment was actually closed that day. No one from management informed me. I had to go out of my way to contact another owner whose number I found on Instagram just to be told the place was closed. Situations like this show a serious lack of organization and respect for people's time. If management cannot properly communicate something as basic as whether the business is open, it raises concerns about how the establishment is run overall. I also noticed that most of the reviews here appear to be from several years ago, which makes me question whether the current experience reflects what customers can expect today. Based on my experience, I would encourage others to do their research before choosing to support this business.
