We stopped for lunch, checking the place out having dropped our trailer at our trucking terminal. Ate from their bar menu, and we're well pleased. BBQ sandwich (moist, light smokiness, salted well, no sauce) and boneless wings were awfully tasty. The toasted bun really elevates the sandwich. We sat at the bar, and the whole place was kinda empty at 1pm on Sunday. Very Clean, well lit. Music was comfortable and not blaring, smoke free. The drinks were very weak, and the smarty pants I ordered were supposed to have nerds around the rim. No nerds. They were found at the bottom of my drink, a clumpy mess. Price - High for what was actually received, but I think prices are changing with inflation and this restaurant is no exception. Do not expect to find a steal of a deal here. Time - sat down right away. It was also a Thursday night. Plenty of empty tables. Time to order was quick. Wait for the food was pretty quick, granted only a two person table and nothing complicated was ordered. Wait on refills wasn't to bad either. Longest wait was for the server to get the money and check us out. Cleanliness - fairly good. Didn't check the toilets. Friendliness of our server Jimmy, good. Nothing stood out as exceptional nor great. He was focused on keeping his area clean, stayed busy, didn't make much conversation which was okay. The staff was amazing so I feel bad giving only one star but everything else about this experience was terrible. The air conditioning was out so it was 100 degrees inside, the poor waitresses looked like they were going to pass out. It wasn't busy but it took over an hour to get our food. The food was almost inedible it was so burnt and disgusting. We stopped here after just landing in Atlanta and had a 2 hour drive ahead of us, but wish we had gone anywhere else. I just had the worst experience that really ruined my day. Nothing was right. The draft beer was skunky, the brisket Chilli had no brisket and tasted like it had ketchup in it, the mixed green salad was all Romaine, and the Manager had an attitude with me because I complained! The two Managers on duty today, 8/23, were both unprofessional. The first one told me that he didn't recommend the Chilli, and there was nothing he could do about it but take it off my tab. The second Manager told me that was the kind of lettuce they had, and added, "What do you want!" Which I replied, "I want what I ordered!" He snatched the salad plate and walked off! He was determined to back the bartender and sounded like he was mentally on another planet. No reasonable person who orders a drink would think that they would receive a half full glass!! First time ordering and eating from the business. Whoever packaged my order did not care of the quality my family and I were getting. I expected smokey flavor from the chicken and beans. The beans had that more than the chicken. The chicken was moist, underseasoned, had soft skin, no genuine barbecue flavor. I question its freshness as the drumsticks were dry but the other parts were still good. Maybe it sat under a heat lamp. The broccoli was too crispy with a dash of garlic seasoning. The cost of the broccoli should involve full seasoning. No condiments like butter and sour cream were included for the reheated baked potato. Based on its texture, the potato was reheated and not fluffy and fresh. The toast slices were soft and near soggy. Why not put them in foil away from watery or steamy food? There was nothing to prevent tampering with my order. The bag was double tied and the temperature of the bag was warm. I do not live far from this store, and the delivery driver was on time. It makes no sense that the food was not hot but various degrees of warm. The food should have been hotter and fresher. This order was a true disappointment. If I had liitle cooking experience, I could still cook better than whoever cooked our food. The chicken looked nothing like its advertisement. I refried and salted some wedges because they were too firm, soggy and unsatisfying to eat as is. My family appreciated that, too. Imagine having to reheat your delivered food in order to eat it. Never again! Calling the store for help left me hearing laughter from the unknown female employee after I said I wanted my money back. The food is delicious, the drinks are great (although I refrained from drinking today being that my niece couldn't drink, lol); the atmosphere is a whole vibe, & our service was AWESOME!! Our server (Tashay) was not only kind, however she was also friendly, personable, menu knowledgeable, customer service oriented, & highly professional... A solid 5-star for service!! I'm a middle age woman (50 years old) who appreciates good service, so when you visit Smokey Bones (go for the food); & request Tashay as your server (trust me, you won't regret it!!)... Sooo, this was not our destination but it was where we ended up. We had a party of 8 because it was someone's birthday. There was some confusion with the hostess, but after it was resolved we were seated quickly. Our server Dorothy was awesome. She made sure our drink orders went in right away. She answered all our questions. Didn't get annoyed when we added another person and that person wasn't able to make it. Food was okay. I had a great but awkward experience. For starters, MJ the hostess is so awesome. She greeted my family with a smile and she even cracked a couple of jokes. We asked her about some suggestions as she seat us and she ended up changing my mind about what I originally planned on ordering. Everything she suggested was spot on. That girl really knows her stuff and she is darn good at running the front. The awkward part came in where a guy named Desmond told us that he would give us free shots of any liquor we chose if we leave a Google review. We ate, and we talked for a little bit. He came back and asked us what we wanted but he said that he'd bring them over because the server who had waited on us wasn't that good and she was slow. He then talked about how he's hiring all new staff so he could get rid of the old staff. I didn't like that part. Our server Denise was really good. She repeated our order, she brought everything we needed for our meal, and she had the refills coming. We were so uncomfortable after that because it was mean and unnecessary to speak poorly about his employee that way. We literally sat there for 15 minutes talking about it, wondering how many of his employees he does that to. We changed our minds about the free shots because it started to feel like a bribe at that point. I can drink at home to be honest. This was my first time at this location in Conyers and I've very happy that I stopped by on a whim. I was so satisfied with everything. My server was so sweet and attentive. I forgot her name but she has her head shaved on both sides and a huge beautiful fro on top. She was fast, she kept our drinks refilled, she brought our food out hot and continued to make sure we were taken care of from the moment we arrived until we left. I would've tipped her $100 if I could. Now let's talk about this amazing burger I had. I got the Smokehouse Burger with onion rings and barbecue baked beans. EVERYTHING was amazing. I damn near inhaled that food. The burger was so juicy, the sauce was perfect. The beans were really good. The onion rings were cooked the perfection, nice and crispy!
