This was our second visit. It was the afternoon of the 4th of July around 3:30 PM. If you read our first review, you will how impressed we were. This time it was one of the worst! The server was totally unable to keep up with a very few tables. It was wait, wait, WAIT! She did'nt seem to know about the specials and made no effort to find out. Part of the problem. The ribs were barely warm, baked potatos were the size of a large beet, and the roasted corn was cold. Refills on soda was also only delivered after several requests. The worst thing was we were told they were out of cornbread (this was part of the special and part of the reason we drove 45 minutes one way.) They said they were giving us donuts instead! We asked that they were served after dinner. When they were brought, there two orders for two people. We brought ten home. We are NOT driving that far for cold food, bad service, and NO CORNBREAD again. It's too bad because they have the best ribs in this area. read more

I honestly love this place. Yes, it's a chain, but I've never had a bad meal or bad service. It's just as good as any other place I guess, but for good bar-b-que in a casual atmosphere, this is a great place to go. It does get a tad loud when it's busy on weekends, but this doesn't bother too much. It's good for families in that respect. They recently, within the last couple of years, renovated and it looks super nice. Really large and spacious bar area with bar top tables and chairs. Lots of booths in a spacious area as well and you don't feel like you are sitting with your neighbor. We went recently and the meal was so good! I got the pick two combo dinner platter with pulled pork and spicy sausage, two sides and garlic bread for around $15.99, which I honestly think is a good deal for the amount of food I received. The spicy sausage is so good. Our waitress was phenomenal. Her name was Colby and she was friendly and talkative, asked us about our day, sat down to chat with us and was very attentive. She helped my Dad use the credit card machine they have on the tables, she refilled drinks asap and was just generally sweet and friendly, which I love! I want to feel like a part of the family and I definitely did. This woman needs a raise! The only gripe-the hostesses did not say goodbye when we left. There were two young girls there who were chatting about seating I think, and they didn't even look up to see us go. BBQ can be hit or miss, most anywhere one chooses to go, other than the BBQ chains, which tend to be crappy. This was an exception at Smokey Bones, May 2021, where we needed a quick meal before and event. The restaurant was still spaced out properly for COVID, servers and cooks wore masks, etc., and it wasn't terribly crowded at 6PM of a Thursday. The food was more than adequate, very delicious, properly prepared and served, and the server was very very charming. They have an awesome mustard sauce here! Sonnys could take a lesson from Smokey Bones on the proper recipe for BBQ mustard sauce. Overall a good experience, and I would absolutely return. read more

My food was alright, I ordered a build-a-burger, I also got broccoli for my side but my broccoli wasn't fully cooked and I got a full slice of onion on my burger which is way to much. I have come here often and the food has always been decent. Tonight I had the baby back ribs which I occasionally have and they were absolutely the worst ribs I have ever had. I think they took them out of the smoker too soon and they were tough and fatty. While I know there are sometimes bad quality of product received from their vendors but this problem should have been caught at the expedition line. Then when I mentioned it to the bartender she couldn't care less and probably didn't even tell the manager. So not was the meal unbeatable the service was very poor. I guess need to find another place to have ribs. Don't mind a bad meal once in a while but to top it off with bad service my money is better spent at other local Well i would like to update you on my review. The manager has gone above and beyond to recapture me as a guest. He has reached out and has taken remedies for to make things better including the service. I find this very satisfying and find this type of service from the manager excellent. He has offered me a free meal which I am not interested in but will be going back due to his excellent care in handling this m I had to update my review. After a nice email from the manager he invited me back. He wanted me to ask for him but I did not. Our ribs were perfect and service was outstanding. The manner in which the manager handled this situation was professional and he seems to really care about his restaurant and its reputation. They're in a really good location, right out side of the Melbourne Square Mall and easily visible from 192. I'm go through the pluses first. The portions are pretty big. I usually come here for lunch, so for those days I'll eat a light breakfast. I love the build a burger checklist they have at the table. You choose every part of your burger, from the type of meat, the type of bun, all the way down to what sides you want. Each part has it's own individual price. Now for the minuses. Overall I think the food here is pretty bland. On the table you are given about four different sauces with degrees varying from sweet to hot. Personally I think food should be cooked with flavor and not have to rely "post cook treatment" to give it flavor. If there is room in your stomach after the meal, I would recommend their donuts for dessert. read more

My boyfriend and I stop in yesterday to grab some food, we get seated and wait to be greeted 15/20 minutes go by finally get greeted by kaitlyn, she asked us what we like to drink and then goes over to another table and ask them also. by the time she comes back we are ready to order but she goes to take another tables order which is fine because they were there before us, we wait 10/15 mins for her to take our order, so we finally put it in and we wait 45 minutes for our food and it finally comes out but she's not the one to bring it out and there's a couple things missing on our burgers so we asked the nice gentleman for the things that were missing, he brings them back very quickly. So finally we both get started and I ordered my burger medium and my boyfriend ordered his medium rare, my burger came out well done and his came out medium well. at this point we are both starving so we don't want to wait for her to come back wherever she has gone to help us fix the problem, we also ordered loaded french fries and they were so soggy absolutely disgusting. I hardly touched my food she came back we asked her for the check because we were just ready to go at this point and then she goes missing for another 10 minutes. Casual and friendly environment. Their home brew was just great after a long day of work and travel. Ribs were good (1/3 Babyback, 1/3 St. Louis) but not great (too much sauce and sweet) -- but I am spoiled on Austin TX BBQ so I might be biased here. I loved their amber colored home brew. I order the avocado turkey burger "white meat" The turkey ground meat is usually soft and juicy. Unfortunately the meat tasted like frozen plastic and was so hard. It was a disaster; the onion used was the first layer skin of onion so hard. The avocado pieces were smashed at the bottom of the bun.
