I always end up wanting to like this place more than I actually end up liking it. They have a good location that has plenty of parking and it's easy to get in and out of. The front desk is always an issue and you normally have to wait several minutes before anyone even shows up at the podium. Then it always seems like they're not sure where to put you, and it takes time to get seated. Even though most of the restaurant is usually pretty empty. Not sure if it's a server placement issue or what? Once you're seated it does take a little while for service as it always seems like it's going a little bit slow. However, they do have a lot of good food options and I usually find something that I want. The price point always seems a little bit high for what they have to offer. But, it's pretty common for restaurants to have this kind of price point in the Orlando area. The food always looks good in the pictures, however, when you get it to your table it's never quite the same as what you thought it would be. It's usually just okay. The atmosphere is very sports bar like. Even though they do have a seating area that's completely separate from the television and bar area, it still gets pretty loud. It can be difficult to hear your conversation over the yelling sometimes. My food recommendation here is the smoked wings. They're usually pretty good, however, you'll probably want to side to go with it as it may not be completely filling for a meal. East Colonial is the only Smokey Bones we like. The food is always good and the service is great. Since we first went there during the spring and had Ibellise for our waitress, we have continued to return, because the service and the food is always good. Today we brought a friend to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a great time. Ibellise went out of her way to make this a great day for Tom. I am a creature of habit and will eat the same thing every time I go somewhere. East Colonial Smokey Bones is the only place I am willing to try new things. Rating is only based on customer service experience as I never got my food - frustrated for sure! Placed an order and was charged, but never went through on their end. Unfortunately, when speaking with the manager, they weren't willing to help on their end. They suggested I figure it out with my credit card company even though it was their system that failed. Wish they would have offered something to make up for the incident! I was super excited to try this place, and I don't give poor reviews often. This is one of the top 10 restaurants I like to patronize. We frequently go to plays, concerts, etc. Smokey Bones serves food until 1am. All the food is good & served quickly. My favorite is the pulled pork sandwich & Brunswick stew. Their current rib special is a fantastic deal. A whole rack of ribs with 2 sides & garlic bread for $22.99. There's no bartender, and after about 10 mins no one had even bothered to come say hey we'll be right with you. The last straw was when someone came in for pickup and was immediately greeted. Well, the food may be a little over priced, the seasonings, and the flavors were amazing. My wife ordered the shrimp and grits, which came out cold, they replaced. It gave her more, and it was a little bit different in preparation. I ordered the salmon which was delicious, but undercooked. Make sure you tell them to fully cook your fish if you want it that way. I ordered a grilled cheese brisket sandwich, the flavors were pretty good. it came with one side I chose fries and I ordered a lemonade as well But the service was so bad. we sat there and waited for someone to take my order for at least 25 minutes. they took our drink orders 1st and then we sat and waited for them to come back .I ordered a lemonade They finally came and took our order Another 20 or 25 minutes for them to bring us the food. I started eating and I finished about 3/4 of my lemonade there was no refill attempt made on the lemonade at all .the server came and I asked if I could have a refill on my lemonade .the servicer said "yeah right away "and he walked away and let's just you say I never got a refill on my lemonade. If that was the only thing wrong it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but we sat there and we waited and waited for the servicer. the restaurant was not swamped although it was late at night they had several waiters .It's just the one that we had was very unattentive. Horrible all around. The ribs tasted like a microwave dinner and the bbq sauce tasted like something that would go in a car engine. The baked potato was so salty I felt like it a bag of classic lays in every bite. Whoever cooked the food must have put their 2 weeks in, I could taste "I don't make enough" in every bite. 3.5 stars for a solid barbecue chain. We ordered Smokey Bones from Uber Eats. I got the pick two combo where you can pick two different meats. It comes with two sides. I chose sliced chicken and beef brisket and for the sides mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. When the order arrived, I had chicken breast instead of the sliced chicken, but not a big deal to me since I like both. The chicken breast was well cooked and seasoned, but a bit on the small size. The beef brisket was super tender and tasted great with their KC sauce. There was some fat, but not a ton. I really like the mashed potatoes and gravy here. The gravy has an ever so slight kick that I really enjoy. Finally the Mac and cheese is pretty darn good! I do feel that the $2 upcharge to order it is excessive though but it is definitely good. When I can't get to 4 Rivers, Smokey Bones is a pretty good option to satisfy a barbecue craving. read more

I went to the Smokey Bones across from the Fashion Square. I pre-ordered a BBQ party pak for an event later today. I went a bit early to pick up the order, the staff seemed not to ne able to find my order, but after a bit of checking around it was located. I ordered, for the meats beef, pork, and chicken. Note that they upcharged for the beef, because all they offer now is brisket. I was okay with that. The large bag they put everything in was very nice. Everything was loaded neatly into the bag, they had everything you could want to set up the feast, even tongs! But....they did not add the garlic bread. I specifically asked for that to be added. It was not. I called after the meal and spoke with an un-named manager about the fopa. The manager today I spoke with was a man, this manager was a woman. She was very nice in her manner. I said the food was fabulous, but the omission of the bread was bad, I had even tried to remind the staff of this. The last time I ordered a large order from this restaurant, I paid for, but did not receive the bread I had paid for. She said the next time I came in, I could get an appetizer, or something, to make up for it. Not feeling the love, Smokey Bones, not quite what I expected. First time in this Barbacue place and I found out it was a chain restaurant in many states. It was slow when we got there for lunch, but the staff was very helpful and polite for sure. Wanted something light for lunch (mistake) food was so good I filled myself up. Had the brisket sandwich covered with cheese and grilled corn and fries. They tend to be a little pricier than your average sport bar. However, I like going to this place late at night. I think they have one of the best cocktails menu. They are continuously revamping it. My favorites are the Pineapple Express and the Berry Sangria. Of course, they have beers on draft, if you decide to not go for one of the delicious cocktails. They have a late night menu starting at 10pm. I go to Smokey Bones usually during the later hours. It's usually the only place around me that is a bar and also still serve food late at night. It's pretty hit or miss with this particular one. One time I get awesome service and great food. Other times the service is just okay, and the food is a disappointment. I've had the pulled pork sandwich recently, which was great however the mac & cheese tasted like something made from a box. I had the loaded fries last night, and it tasted as though it had been just sitting out from a while, and the fries itself were either burnt or overcooked. Same as the food, the service is hit or miss also. Service is a pretty big deal for me. One time I'll have a server who is great, and another time I'll get a server who doesn't seen to be thrilled to be there. The place itself is pretty nice. There are TVs around the bar so you can watch your game while you eat. The bar is right in the middle of the restaurant. On the plus side: The daily drink specials are pretty good. Try the Bones brew, it's pretty good and cheap... $2.50/pint. I'll continue going to Smokey Bones purely out of convenience. read more

When we arrived the hostess, which turned out to be our server was uninterested in doing her job! The waitress NEVER came to check on us. We had to go to the bar to get more beers, and my husband and I literally had 1 beverage the entire meal!
