The person handling the front of house was nice and friendly and quickly got me my order of food. I got the Chopped Brisket Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Overall, I thought it was alright. For $19, it wasn't amazing. The chopped brisket was alright, but the flavor was drowned out by the bbq sauce. The brisket itself was pretty tender, but there were still some pretty dry bits that were mixed in. Overall, an ok restaurant, but probably not my first choice for bbq. If you want bbq, there's definitely better places to go to. I think if the sandwich was say around $15, I would have rated it slight higher. But for almost $20, I thought it could have been better. read more

Not impressed at all with the last visit. I am not even exaggerating when I say there were literally only 5 tables in the whole restaurant, 3 waitresses, and we waited 17 mins for our drink order to be taken. Our drinks got empty, we had to wait again to get another drink order. The waitress kept disappearing and we would sit there without drinks and without being asked if we wanted anything else. I've been here when they are packed from football games and they are usually pretty on it with checking on their tables. I will say though the skrewball egg nog drink was amazing. I'll have to say, the greeter was very nice and pleasant. So was our server. But the ribs were not hot, just warm. Worse was the bake potato, it was barely warm wouldn't even melt the butter or the cheese. Sent them back and they brought more still were NOT hot. The manager brought the second ones out which he was not very pleasant at all. I watched him go to the back and get those out of the hot box and supposedly heat them up and it still didn't melt the butter. I absolutely would not recommend that place at all. Such a horrible experience! We waited 5 minutes just to get seated, as we walked in there was no one at the hostess stand. We finally got seated with 15 minutes before the early bird special ended, took our sever 30 mins to get our drinks and when asked if we could still order from the early bird menu she said no and was not allowed to even thought we were here 20 mins before 5pm. As a regular customer Smokey Bones serves really good BBQ. As a change of pass I ordered the Chicken Salad. Mistake!. There was five small thin pieces of dried our chicken, I asked the waiter if that was normal and he said yes. The have small chicken breasts. I have had the smokey chicken breasts and they are not small; basically they just charge $18.00 for a romaine salad with croutons. The server was polite and attentive but the overall experience was an expensive lesson in what not to order and the website stated that someone would contact me. Still waiting. I had the 1/2 baked chicken, mac n cheese, fried cinnamon apples and garlic bread. The chicken wasn't good to me because it seemed to be halfway cooked. Parts of it still had blood in it as I cut it up. Didn't bother with the garlic bread as it was hard as a rock. The cinnamon apples and Mac n cheese were good. My girlfriend had Memphis dry rub wings, some pulled pork, baked beans and mashed potatoes and gravy. I ended up tasting two of her wings which were way better than my baked chicken. I didn't taste her pulled pork but she liked it and said it was good. Not a place I'd recommend for their baked chicken but their ribs and big family dish sizes seemed to be more appealing. Would recommend their wings. The waitress we had was nice and very informative on things to do near the area as she relocated to Tampa herself. The atmosphere had too much Halloween decorations to it. If you're a person who's into that stuff then this place is for you especially around this time of year. Movie night at the citrus park mall. It close at 2 am in the morning. It offer late night snack and beer. They all day beer special and after 10 pm special. At certain day they have all you can eat wings or tacos. The night we have visit they have combo special 2 people for $30. Very good deal. In the combo plater, it has 5 types of grilled meat. Pork rib, petite sirloin, smoke wings, grilled chicken breast and sausage. It also come with grilled onion and wedge potatoes. This item serves over the fire grill that keep the food warm. The grille has center plate to heat up the food. I like this way because many BBQ place has combo. At the of combo, the remaining food get cold. However, the device they have in this restaurant keep warm and heat up in the middle of grill. I would give them 5 stars for the food taste, keep warm on the combo, good service, nice open dinning hall, great price on the alcohol. I got 22oz Miller lite for $5.5. read more

Had a great experience tonight. We had the mini Mac nachos that were a perfect size for two people to share. All of the meats in the nachos were delicious. For our main course we shared the bone fire table top for 2, we had plenty of food for 2 and took some to go. The ribs and the wings were our favorite on table top. Hey guys, today I was super hungry (as usual), and looked for a nice place on Sunday at 10:45 pm, Smokey Bones was the choice. Something interesting is that the waiter told us about happy hours, so we hesitated to order a "Sex on the beach" and a "Margarita". I also ordered "Double Trouble" ribs, which I found fantastic! Definitely an excellent Sunday night choice. Unfortunately when the bill came, non of the drinks where on happy hour, and I ended up paying more than expected. This is the reason for my 3 stars. On my belief, the waiter should have pointed us which drinks are on happy hour, because he saw us talking about it and being happy because of it. I remember this place for having awesome smoked wings and the smell of wood burning like a bbq pit before the pandemic. I decided to go there for a Mother's Day eve dinner and I was glad and sad from the experience we had. The glad part is that they have this new feature called the Bone Fire that is a cauldron with hot coals inside and an assortment of meats and potato on a grill. They serve these for 3, 4, 6 people to share. The concept is good and the meats tasted good. Our server was excellent, friendly and attentive. The sad part was the food was Lukewarm and tasted dry like it was sitting for a while. I guess the cauldron is suppose to keep it warm, but it was not happening and the potato's wedges were very dry. They also discontinued serving the free donuts as an appetizer when you are first seated and is now a menu item you have to pay for. Cheddars serves free croissants before you order. Their bathroom had a picture frame with a broken metal frame and no paper towels or blower to clean your hands. Maybe their other dishes might be worth the return, but for now, I'll avoid the bone Fire. read more

The whole staff was young lady told me that bad news that I was drinking my shrimp a little bit late the good news is they were gonna cut me another ribeye.
