This is a big restaurant in a shopping center. Lots of tables. I got takeout but it looked like a lot of people were dining in Saturday morning. The French toast was awful. Flavorless and the bread wasn't good. I barely got any cinnamon flavor. Hard pass. Bacon- excellent! Very crispy and not too greasy. The slices of bacon were a good size too. Eggs- on the greasy side but still good. Also, how can you mess up sunny side hard eggs? The potatoes were soft but lacked flavor as well. Needed to drench in salt or ketchup. I came here again and will definitely be back! If you're looking for fresh-squeezed juice, they don't offer it, but their juices were still perfectly fine. The server was speedy and attentive! I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, which were absolutely amazing. I also built my own omelette with provolone, spinach, mushrooms, and green peppers. It was absolutely delicious, and I can't wait to order it again - or maybe try the breakfast bowl with a couple of poached eggs next time! What a cool find while traveling in Tampa! Right next to our hotel, breakfast/lunch spot. Only reason not 5 stars is no mimosa/booze option and only regular coffee, no espresso/latte options. But honestly if I could give 4.5 I would. Food was fabulous! Cheesesteak omelette with cheesy grits and English muffins plus a Chicken and waffles all to share. Omelette was perfectly cooked with great flavor. Grits were amazing especially with some hot sauce. We are from CA so taking advantage of the southern side options whenever we can. Peanut butter option with the English muffin = snack for later! Hubby loves sweets and the waffle was great. So good he didn't even add the syrup just the fresh whipped cream option. The tenders were wonderful, so good I would come back later just for this. Freshly battered and fried, don't taste pre made at all! And they spice up their syrup with this dish to really add to the savory sweet element. Ice tea was fresh. I got unsweetened, what with the CA thing and all but I bet their sweet tea is bomb! Coffee, although basic was fresh and my hubby killed 2 glasses. We are here 2 more days and guessing they will see us 2 more times. I've heard great things about keke's but honestly I think it's a bit overhyped. I thought everything was pretty good but not great. I'm not even sure if the syrup was maple but that should be a must if the toast itself is not that flavorful. I've given this place a shot multiple times, and I always leave reminding myself not to come back. It's not that it's bad. It's just that it's not that good. Most places I can find something that I want to return for on the menu. Like they may have a lot of items I don't like but there are a couple standouts. That's the problem here. This is a hidden gem restaurant with good tasting food and friendly staff. I had no idea it was in this shopping plaza before my friend brought me here. I'm glad she recommended it! We sat by the window, and our waitress was helpful and cheerful. I chose the Florida waffle with fresh fruit. Came in for the first time this morning before our Costco run. Emily was our server and was amazing!! We were immediately seated and greeted. Drink order taken and explained the QR code menu. Emily came right back and took our food order and it was out in no time!! The breakfast is not greasy like at other places and you feel good after eating it. The omelets are served with home fries and toast but since we are on keto, we opted to sub those for sliced tomatoes and a side of bacon and sausage. Being on a keto diet is tough sometimes. We decided to try out Keke's just to see what they offered. They always seemed busy and true to what we've seen they were this time as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see how diverse the menu was. They have both breakfast and lunch and the offerings spread from paninis to waffles, to omelets, to pancakes, and various other items that would interest most people. Luckily, we didn't have to wait for a seat and our server was prompt and courteous I ended up getting a cheese steak omelet with onions and peppers. Normally it comes with a side of home fries and toast, but I was able to substitute it with sausage links and tomatoes to stay with my keto diet! That was really a highlight for me and kicked my day off great. Omelet was cooked to perfection and I added some salt, pepper, and yes I know it's kind of sacriligious, some ketchup...lol. In hindsight, I think a little bit of hot sauce would have been better, but that's on me. Stopped at Keke's for lunch today, Tuesday at 11:30, it was my first time here. The place is very nice and I was seated immediately. I ordered the cheese steak panini with onions, mushrooms and chips and an unsweet tea. My server Yamilett, who was very soft spoken. First the sandwich, it was dry. The toasted ciabatta bread was good but it overwhelmed the other ingredients. Something inside tasted a little burned but still edible. The kettle chips were stale. The pickle spear was about 1/10th of a deli pickle, very thin. I have to say the tea was excellent, tasted freshly brewed. I may try breakfast here in the future but I will not come back for lunch. read more

I stopped at this cute breakfast cafe for brunch today and was greeted and seated promptly by a kind hostess and then ordered from a menu filled with a large variety of plant based options! I chose the eggs Benedict Florentine and I found it to be flavorful and filling. Eggs Benedict is admittedly my favorite breakfast dish and I am especially fond of rich sauce vs tangy sauce - so I was very happy that this dish suited my palate. The waitress that helped our table was well timed, witty and funny, I thought she inspired a light hearted mood at the table, I am appreciative that she offered coffee refills and humor! Fluffy buttermilk pancakes with options for fresh or glazed fruit, and myriad options for add ins or add ons for them. Same for waffles! Fantastic place for brunch. So many great food options. We came on a Sunday, place was very busy and packed of course. I was expecting a really long wait but it was not too bad. They don't take reservations unfortunately, I called the day before and found this out. We came about 10:30am on Sunday, estimated wait time was 30min, actual wait time only 20min before our table was ready. We got the eggs benefict with potatoes and French toast with fruit, both very large portions and both delicious. Our coffee and orange juice and food came out pretty quick. Seldom do I review chains but this was one of those circumstances in which the service was so excellent that it must be mentioned. I stopped in on Sunday morning and was lucky to have Rich as a server. I've honestly never had a server who was both as kind and efficient as Rich! It's obvious that he takes pride in his work and cares about people. No joke, I felt like I was dining in a gourmet establishment based on the level is service that he provided. If management is reading this, make sure you appreciate this employee. Give him a raise! As for the food, it's a step above ihop and Denny's. Similar menu but a bit pricier. Keke's is a fantastic place in the Citrus Park area to get breakfast or brunch. They have a very extensive menu so there's something for everyone! Even during a pandemic, the people that work here are courteous and welcoming. I ordered a take out order and the order was completed quickly and correctly. I got the Hawaiian Omelette. It is a fantastic item with a huge portion size. Two thick Texas Toast slices were toasted nicely and complement the rest of the breakfast. The omelette itself was nice and fluffy with the sweetness of the pineapples complementing the salty and savory cheese and ham. We sat down right away at a booth and multiple waiters and waitresses (more workers than customers) walked past our table no one said hi, or stopped to take our order. Finally an older lady came who was very unfriendly, with no personality, took our order. I had to ask for everything, grape jelly, ketchup, straws. Service was slow. The table behind us complained about something being wrong with their order and I heard her arguing with them. Food was ok (omelette with home fries, toast and coffee). I also ordered uber eats and it was just ok. $18! For a bland waffle and cup of fruit that's it. Also ordered the same omelette to compare. I wrote well done home fries which were still raw and asked for grape jelly, none was provided for my toast. If I want breakfast, I will eat there, but ask for a different waitress. read more

I was having a hard time with physical pain in my neck and shoulders, she stayed so sweet and empathetic but not in a cheesy way, like perfect... gave great recommendations for the mood I was in and really helped me feel better!
