Found this little gem of a bbq spot in Skykomish along the side of the road. Luckily they us they've just been open for 4 weeks! The staff is super friendly and sweet. The hot sauce selection was great, only complain is that that didn't have a spicer one (I like a lot of heat)! I ordered the Southern Style Fried Catfish and it comes with 2 sides, collard greens and red beans and rice. The whole plate for $18! The fried cat fish was 5 stars! Blow me right out of my chair how fresh the catfish was! Not muddy tasting at all! The batter was some sort of a crispy crunchy corn meal and not overly battered at all. The collard greens was so delicious I couldn't help but order a second serving! The red beans and rice was legit! Just a perfect pairing! Will come back for whenever we are passing by again! Also had a glass of 36 Red wine ($7.50) and a Deschutes Jubelale festive winter ale ($5) yummy!

A new addition to Skykomish. A great new restaurant on the way back from Stevens after a day of skiing. Love the beef ribs, beef brisket and veges. They also serve people who can't afford (Luv that). You can also donate a meal. Request: please have a spicier hot sauce. beef brisket was a little dry.

Traveling back from Wenatchee to Seattle area we were tempted to swing by one of the various spots in Leavenworth. But to avoid the insanity and 30 minute parking chore we looked further down the road, waited an hour to eat and we're well rewarded! Got the catfish, red beans & rice, collard greens & slaw. Paired with their 3 bbq sauces & a Deschutes Festive Winter Ale, pure bliss on the side of the highway in Skykomish. Very tasty BBQ! Cute cozy interior & FREE Ice Cream for kids! Check it out.

Three friends and I were headed over to Leavenworth this past Friday. Hoping to stop around Gold Bar or Skykomish for food, we grew worried as most places had no lights on and signs turned off. Fearing the worst, we continued on with empty stomachs. We spotted the faint glow of flashlights inside Smokey's, immediately turned off, and discovered the area was having a power outage! They graciously served us what they had, and even with only a few dishes possible it was delicious. Well worth the stop if heading to Stevens or the area for other snow activities. I will definitely be going back. Great place to hunker down in case of apocalypse.

Amazing new BBQ spot in Skykomish. Everything we had was great, brisket on fries? Done deal. If you're going up to Stevens you'd be a fool not to come here after. Can't wait to come back and try more, the entire menu looks great.

Stopped in before noon. Server suggested bbq with a bun. I went with it and chose the Texas Two Step. Great lunch option! Beef brisket and hot link on a bun with fixins. Plus a side. It was seriously good. Grabbed a beer and stayed for one more. Good call.

Set in a cute picturesque town over a charming little bridge Whistle Stop Tavern sits in a row of businesses. They are known for their fried chicken & jojos so of course we had to order some of that! We had 7 ladies who had been grazing all day up at the hot springs on charcuterie & various other snacks we packed with us but after an hour long downhill hike in the cold November PNW weather we were ready for some hot food. We also ordered each of their wing flavors. BBQ, Buffalo & Lemon Pepper, plus a large house salad. The fried chicken was very tasty. We could see from the bar that they use a pressure fryer, so it keeps the meat juicy & the exterior crisp. You get a half of chicken cut up in pieces in one order, 1 drum, 1thigh, 1 breast & a wing. It was perfect for sharing. Super casual as it is a tavern with lots of bar & table seating. They also have a pool table(FREE pool Monday nights) & of course big screens for sports watching or MTV videos were actually playing when we were there. Charming spot with a nice bartender & even nicer regulars. A table of locals asked us where we were going to have dessert at & told us about the Pie Dive Bar...they said we MUST give it a try, so WE DID! What we got was some of the best pizza we've had anywhere, full stop. The crust alone deserves its own fan club. Perfectly blistered, airy, crisp on the outside with that chewy, authentic bite you only get when someone actually cares about dough. You can taste the quality of the ingredients immediately. This isn't "brewery pizza." This is legit, crave-it-again pizza. And then there's Summer, the owner. She served us herself and embodies everything people love about Leavenworth and small-town businesses done right. Warm, welcoming, proud of what she's built, and genuinely invested in every table having a great experience. That kind of hospitality changes a meal into a memory. The drinks absolutely hold their own too. Great beers across styles, excellent cider options, and a menu that goes well beyond pizza. But honestly, the pizza alone is worth the trip with kids, friends, or anyone who appreciates real food made by real people who care. Families: this is your spot. Casual, welcoming, delicious, and the kind of place where everyone leaves happy. We'll be back every time we're in town.

This is a great spot located in the heart of Cle Elum! They have a food truck on site, which we unfortunately were not able to try because they had closed a bit early. Luckily, they had a number of sandwich and salad options. Our group enjoyed the Cuban, the chicken pesto, the Roslyn Rider, and a Caesar salad, which had some of the best croutons we've had in sometime! Another notable find was the snack mix... Not something that you would normally gush about, but this was filled with all of the best things the world has to offer Cheetos, bugles, Cheez-Its, and pretzels. If the Gardetto rye chips were in this, your head might just explode. For a relatively small outfit, the service here was very fast as they pumped out all of our food in about 10 minutes. There is ample indoor seating, and a lot of outdoor seating, which is shaded, and all of which is lovely! They've got a nice area with cornhole and some other games to play. They also have board games available inside. The only thing they are lacking is a big grassy area kids can go run around, but the asphalt worked just fine this spring day. We very much enjoyed our time here and will likely be back!
