Found this little gem of a bbq spot in Skykomish along the side of the road. Luckily they us they've just been open for 4 weeks! The staff is super friendly and sweet. The hot sauce selection was great, only complain is that that didn't have a spicer one (I like a lot of heat)! I ordered the Southern Style Fried Catfish and it comes with 2 sides, collard greens and red beans and rice. The whole plate for $18! The fried cat fish was 5 stars! Blow me right out of my chair how fresh the catfish was! Not muddy tasting at all! The batter was some sort of a crispy crunchy corn meal and not overly battered at all. The collard greens was so delicious I couldn't help but order a second serving! The red beans and rice was legit! Just a perfect pairing! Will come back for whenever we are passing by again! Also had a glass of 36 Red wine ($7.50) and a Deschutes Jubelale festive winter ale ($5) yummy!

A new addition to Skykomish. A great new restaurant on the way back from Stevens after a day of skiing. Love the beef ribs, beef brisket and veges. They also serve people who can't afford (Luv that). You can also donate a meal. Request: please have a spicier hot sauce. beef brisket was a little dry.

Traveling back from Wenatchee to Seattle area we were tempted to swing by one of the various spots in Leavenworth. But to avoid the insanity and 30 minute parking chore we looked further down the road, waited an hour to eat and we're well rewarded! Got the catfish, red beans & rice, collard greens & slaw. Paired with their 3 bbq sauces & a Deschutes Festive Winter Ale, pure bliss on the side of the highway in Skykomish. Very tasty BBQ! Cute cozy interior & FREE Ice Cream for kids! Check it out.

Three friends and I were headed over to Leavenworth this past Friday. Hoping to stop around Gold Bar or Skykomish for food, we grew worried as most places had no lights on and signs turned off. Fearing the worst, we continued on with empty stomachs. We spotted the faint glow of flashlights inside Smokey's, immediately turned off, and discovered the area was having a power outage! They graciously served us what they had, and even with only a few dishes possible it was delicious. Well worth the stop if heading to Stevens or the area for other snow activities. I will definitely be going back. Great place to hunker down in case of apocalypse.

Amazing new BBQ spot in Skykomish. Everything we had was great, brisket on fries? Done deal. If you're going up to Stevens you'd be a fool not to come here after. Can't wait to come back and try more, the entire menu looks great.

Stopped in before noon. Server suggested bbq with a bun. I went with it and chose the Texas Two Step. Great lunch option! Beef brisket and hot link on a bun with fixins. Plus a side. It was seriously good. Grabbed a beer and stayed for one more. Good call.

Perfect balance of meat and fat and perfectly crispy and yummy bbq sauce. $8 Brisket sandwich. 2 this could have been a 5 star had there been bbq sauce on it. It was forgotten. I'd have asked for some but after the food was dropped off no one from the kitchen or bbq place was seen again. $18 Pork ribs. 1 . I had such high hopes for this. In the pics they look so good. But for $26 I expected more than 5 small ribs. The sides. The Mac n cheese was pretty good. I'd give it a solid 3 . The waffle rides were also fresh and crispy with a bit of smoke flavor. 5 Service. Also going with 1 . I don't expect to be waited on hand and foot. But it would have been nice for someone to just be out front to answer questions. Give me some extra sauce etc. I did wait st the podium for about 5 minutes before poking my head into the kitchen so I could place my Order. I didn't want to do the same for sauce. We were there 40 minutes. In that time I saw the guy twice. Taking my order and dropping off my food. I'd go back again before they close. I'd stick with The burnt ends.

Let me tell you about my server, the absolute legend who conquered his two-pack-a-day habit through the revolutionary "Brisket Smoke Immersion Protocol." This hero of modern medicine discovered that 60 minutes of face-time with oak-smoked brisket vapors carries the same satisfaction as 47 cigarettes, but with the added benefit of making your hair smell like victory. "The trick," he'll tell you while delivering a plate of burnt ends, "is to position yourself exactly 7.3 inches from the top rack, where the smoke density hits that sweet spot between 'spiritual awakening' and 'temporary meat blindness.'" He tracked his progress in a leather-bound journal that's now permanently infused with smoky goodness. Day 1 entry: "Visibility limited, meat particles adhering to eyebrows." Day 15: "Have begun to communicate telepathically with the brisket. It speaks of great wisdom." Day 30: "I am become smoke, destroyer of cravings." The restaurant had to install a special timer just for these sessions. They call it the "Meat Meditation Chamber," and there's now a waiting list of people trying to kick various habits through strategic smoke exposure. One guy supposedly gave up energy drinks by huffing pulled pork vapors for three weeks straight. The best part? While sharing his journey to smoke-based enlightenment, he'll serve you the most transcendent BBQ this side of the astral plane. The brisket doesn't just fall apart--it voluntarily deconstructs itself out of respect for your taste buds. The ribs have converted more vegetarians than a bacon-scented hypnosis podcast. Five stars. Would absolutely sit through another 45-minute explanation of how the smoke molecules restructured his DNA while demolishing a plate of burnt ends again. Just don't ask about the time he accidentally fell asleep in there and woke up speaking fluent Memphis-style BBQ. P.S. They're thinking about bottling the smoke as a cologne. There's already a pre-order list.
