The food was good. We had the chicken tenders with mac and cheese, cornbread, and the calzone. The calzone isn't traditional, it's a sandwich. It was still good but it did come out looking different than I expected. They should rename it a calzone sandwich on the menu to make it more obvious. The service was okay. The waitress did forget our app but we got lucky and she asked again. She did catch a mess up from the kitchen staff and offered to quickly fix it. Ambiance was bad for us, good for others. They had an open mic night. Makes sense for certain people, we had a little one with us and it made her cry. We left early. I have no issue with the open mic and happy that they have it, just wish they would have warned us before seating. We ended up leaving a early as we didn't want the music to hurt the little one's ears. We really enjoyed our dinner here last night. After a couple beers down the road at Pax we decided to try this spot based on the Yelp reviews. I will say my fellows yelpers know what they are talking about. The place is very cool with plenty of outside seating. They have a decent beer menu as well as cocktails and a surprisingly good wine list. Since I was already 2 beers in for the evening I stuck with beer. I ordered the friend chicken sandwich with French fries and it was delicious. The chicken was crispy with a lot of flavor and the fries were the good kind. My date ordered the half a chicken meal and enjoyed that as well. Collard greens and Mac cheese on the side. He didn't love the Mac and cheese but I thought it was pretty tasty and collard greens were cooked really well and not overdone. We even tried their skillet cookie for dessert and it was amazing! This was our first time to eat here as we're visiting friends who live in the area. Food was sub par as the people who ordered ribs said they weren't very hot (temperature wise). It appeared at first as though they weren't sure who was going to wait on our table; so a guy took our drink order and finally a girl came over to take the food order. Noise level was ridiculously high due to a table that appeared to have individuals that were a little intoxicated. Finally they were removed from the establishment after a woman told them that they needed to get them under control. They were definitely being over served by their waitress with shots. I'm sure they were locals; however, it was not an enjoyable experience for any of us. Their server should have cut them off or asked the manager for assistance. My husband and I went to Smoky's Concession for the first time on Christmas Eve for lunch. We are so happy we found this gem in Lapel, IN. We had the cheesy garlic knots for an appetizer, recommended by our waitress, who was amazing! The garlic knots were loaded with cheese and flavor, I could have just eaten those by themselves! I had the Reuben and my hubs order the fish dinner. We were both so happy with our food, the cook goes above and beyond to make it taste wonderful. Only been once so it only gets four stars until I can experience the place during other times. My wife & I visited today, during off hours with no one else there. The service was to be expected ... excellent. I had the smashed burger cooked with "No Pink," as it was called. Nice, crispy but not burnt on the edges. The "Slaw" was different than I have ever had before but I liked it & that is high praise as I am very particular on my Cole Slaw. The Fries were fresh cut not frozen like my mom made as I was growing up, so I was more than pleased with them. My wife had the pulled pork & was very complementary concerning it. She said it was very tender & not stringy. On the down side, she was not complementary concerning the Macaroni & Cheese. The place is a gem! Great casual restaurant serving up great BBQ, fried chicken, pizza and sandwiches. We had the 1/2 fried chicken, ribs and Dogfather pizza. Everything was amazing including the sides. Our group also tried the Bird Arms and House fries as appetizers. The outside seating is comfortable and on the quiet side . Inside is very nice looking. The app we had , loaded fries , had pulled pork , cheese sauce and bbq sauce . I'm not a big pulled pork lover but I tasted it and it was awesome, very tender but with a char on the outside . The pulled pork was fat free and I think next time I'm here I'm going to get it . The margarita I took a pic of is 12 dollars , not cheap but no way could I ever finish it and walk , or think , it's powerful . The wait for our food , chicken fried steak and a personal pizza with arugula and mushrooms, is a little longer than expected . To be fair it's busy the inside is almost full and the outside is filling up . I hadn't finished and our food arrived . My little pizza was more a flat bread to me but it was delicious however the real star of the meal was my husbands chicken fried steak . Steak it was . A very nice sized sirloin ( I think) not pounded to death at all . It was breaded with a light coating of well seasoned I don't know lol and then the pan drippings were made into a gravy . We started with an order of the loaded fries which contained French fries, smoked pulled pork, BBQ sauce, green onions and sour cream served on a cookie sheet that would serve 4 people easily. It was amazingly delicious! For our entree, I had the BBQ ribs and my wife had the smoked pork chop. Both were delicious with the smoked BBQ flavor in every bite. The pork chop entree also came with a delicious side of mac and cheese. We shared a giant piece of corn bread with the mildly spicy honey sauce which was a delightful change from the norm. The restaurant is a very quaint establishment with a nice rustic ambiance. Service was also great! Would definitely recommend Smoky's Concession Stand as a great place to enjoy locally smoked BBQ pork. The cornbread was a little hard and the chicken was a little dry. Everything else had a great taste. We even got a free dessert which was fantastic. 5 of us ate here for $51. Had a late lunch here today, there were 3 of us. 2 in the group had the Pax Verdum? Beer and enjoyed them, I had the Orange Drink (not sure what it was called) but it had a Solerno in it a (Sicilian liquor) very tasty. I had the smash burger that was great, w a side of Mac and Cheese also very good. The others had the pulled pork with Mac & cheese and fries, and they enjoyed there's as well. Emily was our server and she did a great job. Friendly and personable. Our only disappointment was we went to celebrate a birthday and they didn't have any desserts. We had the pulled pork nachos and they were some of the best we have ever had. We also ordered the pizza. While we were eating we had commented just quietly to each other that it seemed a little burned. Soon after the manager came out and said they had noticed the pizza was a little overcooked so they took it off our bill. Food is always on point. Unfortunately hardly any waitresses had a mask on. Being served food by someone without a mask on is troubling.

I've gone twice now and both times were pretty good. The first time the server was amazingly patient and kind with my family (we were all first timers). She checked on us often and was amazing! I got their smash burger and fries and i devoured it! It was delicious and wasn't too much or too little! I can't remember our server's name but she's a younger blond woman. If you're reading this, thank you! Second time the server was good, but didn't top the service of the first waitress. I got their chicken tenders and if you like your chicken slightly ashy and crispy, then they're for you, wasn't a huge fan personally.
