    Delicious broccoli cheddar soup!

This is a great little diner for good food! Their soups are always delicious, I think made from scratch. Food always comes out hot! The waitresses are nice! They keep it clean and nice atmosphere. Good for breakfast also and a cup of coffee. Their dessert always look good, but I've never had them.

My husband and I decided to drive to The Crossing Restaurant for lunch. The day was nice for a little drive from Greenfield. We really like their spaghetti with homemade meatballs! As we were driving there we decided we should try something different and we did! They serve breakfast and lunch/dinner items and close at 3:00 pm. I ordered the eggplant panini! It was very good to begin with. There was plenty of gooey melted cheese, toasted perfectly and a generous dusting of parmesan on the outside. It became bitter as I was progressing through the sandwich. I feel the larger slice of eggplant was the bitter part of that sandwich! I just dumped it off and ate the best toasty gooey cheese bread I ever had. I had fries and they were very good as well. My husband ordered the Chef salad and it was a very nice size as he could not quite finish it! This is a friendly, comfy place where the staff help each other out so the customer doesn't wait for cold food or drink refills. Our server, Lyndsey, seated us right away and was attentive to our needs as well. We enjoy this place and later we were thinking about our spaghetti and meatballs! We will be back soon!

First timers + we will be back!! Wow our food was so hot and fresh. Everyone gave their food a 5/5 stars. The pricing was great, + our server was so kind!

We have eaten here and have never had a bad meal. Even though they were short staffed, as many restaurants are struggling with this, the service was great. The staff is always friendly and very attentive. The menu is extensive. There is something for everyone. The hashbrowns are always spot on. The portions are large, so you never go away hungry. If there is a wait, stick it out. It will be worth it.

Went for brunch on my birthday with family and everyone enjoyed their meals! I got the gyro again even though I planned to eat breakfast. It's too good to miss! They sat us in the back of the restaurant in a nice quiet spot, perfect for a larger (11) party.

Really enjoyed the food! We had a group of 6 and 2 babies. They were very accommodating. It did take a very very long time to get the food and our waitress hardly came to check on us or give us refills but the food was good and there is a great variety. We would go back!

Service was horrible and the food was mediocre. The only good thing was the orange juice.

Great service with large portions. Weekdays are the best for breakfast. Friendly servers who even remember a previous order.

My lunch was my favorite classic bagel, pumpernickel bagel with lox and cream cheese, red onion and tomato and I was sold after my first bite. I brought RRR here after the Saturday Farmers market and he enjoyed his bagel sandwich as well. First of all, we learned from the owner, Krishna, their bagels are made in New York in the right way, boiled then lightly par baked so they can be frozen and shipped. Sophie's then finishes the bake on site so they taste fresh every day. I have never been to New York and gotten a bagel so I can't honestly compare, but I'm not sad! The bagels are chewy and delicious. Also, they use Boars Head deli meats, high quality and worth it. We have only gotten water with our lunches here so I have no idea what their beverages are like but I suspect my 11 year old granddaughter would love the bubble tea. This is definitely worth a breakfast/brunch/ lunch stop if you're anywhere in the area.

Since I would miss the activities planned for later that week, we both carved out some time to have a small celebration with just the two of us. It was one of those moments that is good for the soul. Every good story needs a great setting. And the context of our story took place at Lincoln Square in Fortville. It was the perfect middle point between our two homes, so it seemed only natural. I had never been to this location. The birthday girl ordered the decadent Banana Bread French Toast. It is topped with fresh banana slices, pecans, caramel sauce and cinnamon whipped butter! I mean, Jesus, take the wheel! I went with a classic Western omelet. You can tell a lot about a place by how they cook the classics. And Lincoln Square did it right. Plus, my omelet came with hash browns and my choice of toast, pancakes, a biscuit or French toast. I felt like it was my final meal before walking the Green Mile! Everything was delicious. We went a little late for most breakfast crowds, so the diner wasn't very busy. Either way, we had great service and the staff were all very kind. I had the feeling that even if they had been busy, you would still be given excellent service with a smile. Like my coffee mug reminded me, every sip counts. I feel like that is a mantra Lincoln Square holds dear. Side note: I am new Yelper, and I am still trying to get a hang of this taking picture of everything deal. How do you guys do it? Do you ask permission first? I took some pictures of the restaurant and the outdoor signage before going inside. Yet, before I could even get to the front door, the manager came outside to meet me and asked if everything was alright. I explained I was working on a Yelp review, and he was very kind. But it got my heart racing. Can someone educate me on the proper Yelp photo etiquette, please?? TIA

The only drawback is that the creamers were prepacked. That is common but my one note for improvement if the owners are on social. The staff is aaa freindly, good recommendations. And engaged. I love the small town feel!! The restaurant vibe reflects the town. Everyone is very welcoming. I didn't catch bartenders name, but she was very friendly to everyone at her bar. She told us her favorites on the menu. I appreciated her knowledge about the restaurant and the menu. The bar area seemed a little dark, but that actually enhanced the experience of an old bar. We only sat in the bar area, I believe there is additional seating in another room, but I didn't look. I opted for a grilled tenderloin and a cup of beer cheddar jalapeño cheese soup. The sandwich's are Ala carte. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, that would have been enough for lunch. The trick with grilled tenderloin is that many times it is over cooked, so it is dry. This was cooked to perfection; cooked but still moist. The sandwich, with the "garden" was awesome. Now to the soup. I think she said they use wee Mac as the beer. The jalapeño was puréed. There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it.
