I am giving Smoothed 5 stars based on their friendly and highly competent staff beautiful OPEN AIR salon, great customer service, and clear communications. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who would like to explore keratin treatments. I had been getting Brazilian Blowout brand treatments for 10++ years and had to stop due to health concerns. I decided to try alternative keratin treatments and so my review is focused on my experience with keratin compared to my many years of getting BB brand treatments. When I went in for my first treatment the staff at Smoothed recommended Keratherapy brand treatment for my hair type. Here are my pros/cons: Pros - -100% safe, I had no negative health reactions to the treatment (YAY!) -My hair is more manageable, easier to "tame" -My hair dries and straightens faster with heat tools -If I air dry I have less frizz -The service was fast! Even with the additional "soak in" period I was out of there in less than 2 hours. Now the cons - -My hair is not nearly as easy to manage as with BB brand treatments (Boo!) -After three washes (over 2 weeks) with recommended hair products my hair is reacting like it would 4 to 6 weeks into a BB brand treatment -My color treated hair changed colors from the treatment - I am two shades lighter and a lot more red than I was before my keratin treatment. (Weird!) -I would trade all these less desirable effects for a SAFER treatment but the hard part is the cost. The less effective, albeit safer, treatment costs almost 30% more. I know there are other brand products that Smoothed offers and I will be back to try out some others. :) read more

My experience in the salon was 10/10, Kaylie did my consultation and she was able to help tailor my treatment to my hair exactly how I wanted it.
