I read good reviews about this smoothie shop online so I came and ended up getting an açaí bowl. I looked at the menu and ordered my food (the cashier was high as a kite) seeing no disclaimer that there were nuts or any allergies for the açaí bowls. When I got my bowl, my friend noticed there was walnuts in their granola. I asked the lady working whether the item containing tree nuts, she said yes and that there was a label claiming allergies. While yes I should have mentioned it, the menu said nothing about any allergens on the menu and she was rude in her response. She admitted that the font was small and hard to notice but that it was my fault if I ate it. read more

You can build your own or select from one of their pre made flavor combinations or daily specials. Today I had a kale, mango, peach and passionfruit smoothie! Definitely a gem in wakefield. One my favorite past times is grabbing a smoothie on daddy son day with my 3 year old. We found this place after we left the playground. I walked in it gave me the giggles. Lol it was very unexpected. I felt like i went to jamaica or St. Thomas. There was definitely a feel good vibe, That anyone that needed a vacation from the cold would appreciate. The first item on the menu i noticed was "that piff". Lol if were ever endulged in the "greenery" you would find it humorous. I cant remember what all was in it but it was the "PIFFIEST", as the owner would say. I was super excited to hear that a new smoothie bar opened in Rhode Island. It took my friends and I several attempts to get to Smoothie Booty when they were actually open. There was a time we went and they were closed, no hours posted on their door or anything. Note you I haven't been here when the owners are around, this place is still very new and the employees seemed young (probably my age, in their twenties) but I was not happy with the service at all. The employees were not professional, and gave me the impression that they were annoyed that I wanted to buy drinks. I was depressed to hear that the wheatgrass shots are made in house but then they are frozen. This slightly destroys the nutrients in them, it would be wonderful to be able to have a fresh wheatgrass shot. The only place I know of in RI that has fresh wheatgrass is on the Pawtucket/Providence border. My smoothie was just ok, very over priced, and I was not please when I saw the employees opened the fridge and I could see the brands used for their smoothie ingredients. The drinks my friends purchased just tasted of banana, and even though they both purchased the same smoothie they tasted different (both banana heavy). There are board games, couches and tables if you would like a place to hangout. The music inside was good and fun. I'm not sure why Yelp! has combined juice bars & smoothie bars, there are many smoothie bars in RI but just a few juice bars. There are no actual juices here. If you wanted a beet carrot apple juice for example, you wouldn't be able to get one. I hope this place turns around, it's in a great location being near the co-op and yoga studio. But the service, quality and menu could use some work. If I do go to the smoothie bar again, it will only be if I know these changes have been made. Best of luck. read more

The smoothies here are only average and flavor isn't very present. They are also overpriced because I payed $7.50 for a large smoothie. I would much rather go to a fast food place where I can pay for smoothies at a very cheap price, than come back here. Also, the sticker that was on my cup, was upside down. I've tried the smoothies here a couple times, and every time I go and grab one, I'm never disappointed with how they taste. I wish they did more "Green" smoothies, and I wish they didn't use that powdered chai crap with all the chemicals and sugar-- but alas they do. The staff is generally really friendly or laid back, and the sitting areas is rather pleasant to sit in. My major qualm with the place is how pricey it is for a small smoothie which doesn't appear to be organic. I could be mistaken, but I have a feeling I'm correct on this aspect ( After all they don't make their own chai, and buy the fake garbage). One other issue I have with them, is what they do with their "extra" smoothie that is left in the blender. Instead of giving it to the person who orders it, they give it to friends or drink it themselves. I literally sat there watching as they poured the remainder of my drink into one of their friend's glass who walked in the store. It pretty much filled up half her cup. If you're going to turn the drink someone ordered into freebies for friends, make sure they aren't watching, or just give them the extra. It's pretty wasteful to throw it out if the staff and friend's don't drink it, so just offer to give it to the person who ordered it. read more

This is by far the best smoothie place I have ever gone to! The menu is diverse, whether you want fruity or chocolatey there is something for you ! There are so many options to customize your drink to whatever you want also! I have recently just started visiting them again even though they are a little out of the way, and they now serve food and baked goods! Which I have yet to try, but I most certainly will have to next time ! I like how they also have a special of the day smoothie as well as fresh juice. I appreciate that they have a customer loyalty card, for every 10 you get one free! If you haven't gone here yet, it's a must visit! Blundered into this little slice of alternative lifestyle heaven, and may never leave. My Kermit smoothie (with ginger, added by the helpful smoothieologist) is like a tall glade of refreshment, and the blueberry muffin is purple passion. Also a cool place to shop for one-of-a-kind artwork and home furnishings, plus rasta babywear. Extensive menu in case you don't like to drink kale. Rhode Island just got a lot more Brooklyn-like. read more

This is a cute little place with lots of great options. We stopped in to grab a refreshing smoothie. The ingredients were all fresh and healthy, unlike most smoothie places that use tons of artificial juices. The smoothie was delicious and the staff was super friendly! They had little purses and decorations displayed that you could buy too! What a great addition to downtown Wakefield! I like it here... I saw the previous dismal review and had to chime in so that others don't find the cafe as scary as that. It's not juice bar--so don't expect fresh wheat grass shots. Really, you'll find smoothies made from fresh fruit/yogurt. I get coffee/tea as well. The people who work here are friendly, I like the location. I've met friends and colleagues here because it's relatively quiet, relaxed, and chill. Not a scene, just a comfortable neighborhood place to hang. read more

A small (12 oz) smoothie is$5.20 and a large (24 oz.) is $6.70 If you choose a "green smoothie" it's $5.50 for a small and $7.20 for a large and THEN if you want to add spinach or kale to any of those, it's another .50 for a small or .75 for a large. So...yikes. Maybe that is the going rate and I am old, but I felt like that was high. I had the green tea freeze and it was very good. I love all of the boost options you can add. Definitely just a once in a while treat for me, but very cute. read more

I just visited this place for the first time since it moved to its new location. The setting is pleasant and welcoming. There are a lot of random stuff for sale such as wall art and hippy clothing/accessories (hemp wallets for those interested). There is plenty of comfortable seating arrangements, as well as outdoor seats and tables. When I went in, there was only one worker. The place looked clean and organized. I had no problems with the customer service of the employee and he answered all my questions accurately. They DO have juice now, they use a high end Breville juicer. My friend got a juice which he loved, and I got the smoothie special which was a coconut, spinach and banana smoothie...the coconut was a syrup...kind of disappointing that they use syrups but it was still delicious and healthy. I also ordered a veggie burger which was absolutely delicious. I will definitely go back for that, I dont' think they make them in house...i'll have to ask next time I visit. They have some vegan and vegetarian options; such as cookies, bars, sandwiches and snacks. The smoothies OR juice was not over priced...I think the prices are fair. They have a huge menu now & includes a lot of coffee drinks/smoothies; which I intend to return for (they also serve almond milk for vegans). ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!! I've never gone here and have had one bad, wrong made, unhealthy thing. They two girls that work there, tall blonde and short red head are truly enjoyable to speak to while there. Very attentive and always accommodating. My boyfriend and I try to go there every weekend. I came in on a slow afternoon and ordered a juice. I was the only customer there and sat out on the balcony to read and enjoy the juice. The juice was quite good - I was happy with it. However, the young staff decided that since there were no customers they would take a group break outside. All of a sudden I felt like I was in a high school hallway - they were extremely unprofessional - not offensive, but acting as if I was invisible. I was very uncomfortable - my quiet reading time was completely usurped by their loud antics, gossiping, etc. This place would be better if the staff actually took their jobs seriously and acted more mature (even if they are just kids still). read more

First I must say this is one of my favorite places to go! Smoothies, fresh juices and sandwiches..Oh my! Since they have moved locations I personally have noticed some great changes, including the juice bar! The staff has become more focused on greeting, serving and they are super helpful if you cant make up your mind. With out the staff I would be forever stuck on their treasure island smoothie (which is still amazing)! Also they have more retail items. They have a great selection of unique exotic gifts and hilarious cards! They are always kid friendly from what I have seen, in fact most of the staff adores when small children come in. With the board games and yummy stuff to drink and eat I'd say that this is a good place for a little family time:) Okay so I'll admit, I have tried to replicate the smoothies with my own combination of fruits at home. The quality and flavor just cant be matched. Yes, the smoothies are a bit pricey, but totally worth it . The coffee smoothies are delicious here as well. I love how they really cater to peoples needs, peanut free, added protein, vitamins and so much more. The juices taste great! The staff is always happy to adjust the juice by adding apple or lemon for me to make it taste sweeter. Now one of my favorite parts is the sandwiches. Good quality bread and ingredients, they offer things from black bean veggie burgers to a nice ham and swiss on a delicious roll ( my personal favorite). They are made right when you order them :) and come with a bag of chips. (yum) Anyways, this place is great. I am summering in South County and in my first week of the trip I stumbled upon Smoothy Booty. I order the Poop Deck, and the girl behind the counter, who could not have been nicer, suggested I get it with dates. The guy making my Poop Deck with dates in the back was hilarious. I was in love with the place. I went back once or twice after, and switched up my order. I met a lot of the employees, who were all great, and learned that the funny guy was named Vinnie. It seemed like a great place to work. Everyone was smiley, and happy, and got along. The other day I went in, and felt the mood of the place had totally shifted. I was aggressively greeted by a woman with white hair. She took my order, without a hint of a smile on her face, and made my smoothy. The smoothy was underwhelming, which is the first time I had experienced this, and could either be a result of my order or the maker, I'm not sure. Anyway, I sat down, and sipped on my smoothy while I watched the same woman talk to the other employees. The employees did not have the same cheery attitude they normally had. She ordered them around and they seemed scared of her. I concluded that she must be the boss, and that this was not a good place to work. Had I not had this experience, I would have given it a four or a five. I still recommend it to anyone in the area, but without the charm the employees brought it wasn't the same experience. read more

First off, the smoothies and juices are amazing here... That said, TRY THE COOKIES!!! (For those people who can't have gluten, they often have gluten-free options which is quite hard to find in Southern RI). This place has a lot of character and charm. It's a great place if you have kids but I frequent the spot and find people of all ages coming in and enjoying themselves. Sometimes there is a line but the way I see it, fresh food is not fast food.
