Checked out smorgasburg at row DTLA on Sunday. It was not too crowded, possibly because it was 90 degrees out and burning hot. That was a good selection of food stores selling a variety of food from tacos and barbecue to Asian fried wings and noodles. There's also a Michelada tent with shade and a cool DJ spinning awesome tunes to vibe out with while enjoying the cool shade. It seems like the food stalls still rotate on a fairly regular basis so it's definitely worth a visit when they change out the vendors. We ended up getting some barbecue, wings, fried chicken skewer and drinks to share. Since it was a hot day, we also really appreciated ice cream alley although it was a competition to see if we could finish our ice cream before they melt under the sweltering sun. Worth a visit and checking out on sundays. I believe the first 90 or 120 min parking is free.
You literally cannot go wrong here! I've tried most of the vendors for the past few years and it's always a fun treat! (as a non picky eater). I love Sus Arepas who just opened their brick and mortar finally. Also always grabbing a Golden Skewer for that delicious sauce!! I will always recommend coming right at opening for the most seamless experience with parking as well as ordering food and finding a bench to eat at. Also if you're going in the summer the earlier the better to beat the peak sun hours! It's also just so nice to catch the air and walk around so many delicious aromas. Right now is ice cream alley so it's the perfect time to make your way and try out some of the delicious frozen treats!
Being rarely available on Sundays, we finally decided to take a family trip to Smorgasbord at Row DTLA. We really enjoyed the repurposed industrial area, which reminded us of the 798 Arts District in Beijing. It was our first time in the area, and the online entrance information was incorrect as the gate was blocked. We got a little lost initially but eventually found our way. I read online that the vendor lineup was reportedly weaker, which unfortunately seemed to be the case. It was a pretty hot day. A Reddit user suggested eating breakfast beforehand to save money, but we ended up going out for KBBQ. We were immediately sluggish afterward, so we went to a coffee shop for a caffeine pick-me-up. We tried: - Strawberry Animal Cookie at Sad Girl Creamery - Mango Michelada from I Love Micheladas - OG Cheese from Urbn Pizza The ice cream wasn't bad, but it wasn't my favorite. Our son loved it, though. The Mango Michelada was pretty good, with nice mango chunks, but nothing truly memorable. Our son insisted on cheese pizza, which was solid. I think we'll wait for a vendor refresh, as there wasn't much that stood out to us this time. On the plus side, we didn't overspend, but we didn't try as much food as we'd hoped. Next time, we'll come with empty stomachs and full wallets!
It had been a few years since my last visit to Smorgasburg, and this trip reminded me that I really need to come back more often. Located at The Row in Downtown LA, it takes place every Sunday, and the first two hours of parking are free, which is a rare find in LA. There are shaded umbrellas and picnic tables throughout the space, though they could definitely use a few more. I came with a group of friends, and we split up to grab food from different vendors before meeting back up for a little picnic feast. We ended up sharing musubi, chicken wings, and Japanese skewers. There are also vendors in the center selling arts and crafts, which adds to the fun atmosphere. My advice: come early to avoid the long lines at the popular booths, and bring wipes, food gloves, and maybe even some cash since the card fees are getting a bit ridiculous these days.
This is such a fun food event held downtown every Sunday! There are several dozen vendors, foods from all over the world. They also have a variety of local artists with their goods, plenty of drinks and a good time! Surprisingly not too busy and parking was a breeze too. I must for any LA foodie, a one stop shop when it comes to all the newest trends and soon to be brick and mortars!
I've been to the LA smorgasbord time and time again since 2018 and even though they've changed a few vendors here and there throughout the years, I've never left feeling disappointed! One consistent vendor that's always been there is Sus Arepas located right at the entrance. I always order the Reina, which is their chicken salad arepa. Their sauce is truly addicting and I always find myself feeling regret that I didn't order two of them. They open at 10 AM and offer free parking in their structure. I highly recommend getting there before 12 PM because that is when things get really packed and you'll find yourself waiting in line and not being able to find a table. Last time I went I got there at 10:30 and the timing was perfect. By 1130 they were pretty much no tables left. We were lucky to find one table at the very very far corner at the very last minute. Otherwise expect to stand and there's no shade in sight. Sometimes he might find some of the vendors giving out samples. For example, the last time I went, there was a karaage style fried chicken place, which had super flavorful and moist chicken giving away samples. I didn't see much of a line so I do hope that they are able to pick up more customers. Very much underrated! A new vendor that I didn't see previously was also a Cambodian style wings place, which was also very good. Highly recommend! I look forward to coming back again, especially on cooler days so I can avoid the sweltering heat from being out in the sun there.
The Dumpling Dream at Smorgasburg was great. Smorgasburg atmosphere is fun, casual, and there are so many unique things to try.
My first time at @smorgasburgla and I was not ready for how BIG it would be! Throwing it back to my first visit where I quickly realized I'm definitely a beverage girlie. There were so many vendors, so much good food, and way too little time to try it all. Here are some standouts I tried: Matcha Kava I had no idea what Kava was until this stop! It's a plant based drink meant to promote relaxation (and tingles your tongue ). I tried two servings. Tingly, yes. Calm? Not quite yet. I'm totally down to try three next time and see how chill I can really get Spam & Tamago Musubi These were massive and totally delicious! Not your traditional musubi shape, but packed with flavor. LA Michelada Their signature mix and Common Space Sonrisa Mexican Lager make the perfect combo for a hot LA day. The Original Ultra thin, super crispy focaccia with a bubbly, cheesy interior. I've never had anything like it. It was perfect. Lychee Cane Freshly pressed sugar cane juice with lychee. Sweet, refreshing, and totally hit the spot! Smorgasburg, you've got me hooked!
The concept and execution is spot on. The location is great and the abundant parking a real plus. Love all of the different food options. We tried the Melnificent Wingz (lemon-pepper and Melly dust) - outstanding in every way; not skimpy wings, not overcooked and the flavors only enhance the wing itself, which could be just as easily eaten plain. We tried Mel's famous garlic noodles. I will be finding her outside of the Smorgasburg so I can have some more of that deliciousness! There are maybe 2 things Smorgasburg can improve on: the pavement needs to be redone and leveled for safety, and there needs to be some seating options that sit higher and not so low to the ground; everyone is not young and 100% able bodied. The DJ on 5/10 was fire !
I think this was the fourth or fifth year I've visited Smorgasburg. It was fun as always, but there seemed to be significantly fewer vendors this time. I noticed Jolly Oyster from Ventura is no longer on the scene. It's been there every other time I've been to Smorgasburg, so I was surprised they weren't there this visit. I noticed there's a new oyster vendor in town, Broad Street Oyster Company. Super Frites, the vendor that sold Euro style french fries was also missing. That was a huge disappointment, because I was planning on getting some of those fantastic frites. There were two vendors selling Beef Tallow Fries, so we picked one of them and gave them a try. They were seasoned fries, and they were really good, but nowhere near the quality of Super Frites. And the seasoning, as delicious as it was, was so strong there was no way you would know if the fries were cooked in Beef Tallow or Canola Oil. The main reason I travel down to Smorgasburg every summer is to hit up Lobsterdamus. Their signature dish is a Charcoal grilled lobster on a bed of garlic noodles, they call it a Lobster Nest. Enjoying a Lobster Nest with a fresh squeezed ice cold lemonade is always an absolute highlight of the summer for me. And this year was no different. It's always been much more crowded when I've visited Smorgasburg in the past. This visit seemed like at least 25% fewer people. There weren't very many vendors with more than a few people in line. Over at what's advertised as the "family friendly beer tent" there were plenty of places to sit. Usually you have to hunt for a table, or just a place to sit in the shade. But not this visit. It was great not to have to search for a place to sit while carrying your food and drink. I'm guessing what makes the beer tent "family friendly" is that they have Corn Hole Boards and Bags set up for people to use. They were getting a lot of play. It was quite entertaining, actually. First timer here. My family and I absolutely enjoyed it. Tried different foods today, all which were so delicious. We started with our micheladas. I had the pickle shandy which was so delicious, it was lemonade, beer & pickle juice with crunchy pickle as garnish. 10/10. I also had a mango michelada which u also enjoyed. My daughter wanted dumplings and we went to the zindrew dumpling booth, we love the we've had them before at other markets. Pork and shrimp ones are our favorite. We also had a bbq chicken plate & dirty Mac. I really enjoyed all the food with fried today. Pulled pork was delicious, bbq sauce was too. Each worker at every booth was so nice & customer service was absolutely outstanding. Over all the vibe here is great, good music playing. Might be weird but enjoy watching people eat lol, I just love food.
Smorgasburg is an open air food market that is open on Sundays at the Row in DTLA. Since they've been open, this place has acted as a de facto gateway to some of possibly your favorite and some of the best restaurants and bites Los Angeles has to offer. The first time I went to Smorgasburg was years ago (in Dec 2016), so some of the spots/ vendors in my pics might not be there any more. But I was hooked ever since. Anytime you visit, it could be a different experience with different offerings and a beer garden . My latest visit, I came in specifically for a quick bite - the Jordanian shawarma wrap from Miya Miya before heading over to catch a play at the Pantages (yes...the drive out of the way was worth it). The people I've encountered here are have been wonderful each time. I just love seeing people doing their hustle and actively pursue their passions. Also, I feel for them...my last visit was on a very hot day. The spot where Smorgasburg is located is like one giant concrete block. I can tell you right now, I probably wouldn't last out there. Much respect. The vibe here is like a farmers market, but without the produce - the vast majority, if not all the venders or food stands/pop-ups and some merchandise and dry goods.
YUM! We sampled all we could and loved all the spots. I wish we could have stayed longer but we had a plane to catch. Next time we're in LA we will definitely be back.

What an array of goodies at Smorgasburg! Not only were the food truck options BOMB, but they also had the most unique small business stands, too I arrived around 2pm & ordered the 2 piece combo (brisket + longanisa) with mac n cheese & adobo fried rice & chimichurri sauce from Full Send BBQ. I really wanted the sampler, but it was already sold out... Gotta get there earlier next time! There was no line and they gave us a buzzer for when our food was ready. It took about 3-5 minutes. Presentation was on point The brisket was so soft and tender. The longanisa was spicy and even had cheese in it! The mac n cheese was alright but the adobo fried rice was so sarap. I also got the calamansi cane juice from SweetGrass which was so fresh & perf for the hot weather. It paired really well with the Filipino BBQ & I love how you could watch them extract the sugarcane juice live. Surprisingly it was not as packed as I was expecting, but it got really hot on the black top. Thankfully there was shaded seating. Afterwards, we walked around and I found some cute, unique accessories! St. Geraldine had this amazing fish clip with real pearl dangles and then I also got these artsy, mismatched earrings from Bohemian Kitten Vintage. Smorgasburg LA has been held at this location on Sundays for years. This location is good because it's secured well. The perimeter is fenced off and they have security guarding the entrances. Right now, it's open from 10am-4pm on Sundays. It's made up mostly of food vendors but there are also some non food vendors. It's completely outdoor and pets aren't allowed. FOOD There are over 50 vendors. There are lots of different foods and drinks. SERVICE I've had good experiences each time. PARKING Large parking garage. (2 hrs free) read more

First time coming to Smorgasburg. So many options to choose from! Chicken wings from Shlap is a must. Also, very good beer options. We got candles from a vendor that I'm forgetting the name of, but super good candles. Great Sunday vibe, especially with nice weather. read more

Stopped by on Sunday, 08/03/25 for the very first time. Smorgasburg is a foodie event that occurs every Sunday at DTLA! Parking and admission is also free. Boyfriend and I didn't grab much here at this event as we ate lunch elsewhere. I tried out Argentinian ice cream (guava flavor); it was mediocre. My boyfriend grabbed a beer. Overall this foodie venue is quite small compared to other foodie festivals we've been to. read more
Always an amazing time and delicious variety of food options! Have food from hamburgers, to dumplings, to bbq and everything in between. Make sure you come with a big appetite and money to splurge on your tummy! Why neglect your taste buds if you can just satisfy them all at once with the variety of food options there are! Try a little of everything, well as much as you can. Also, have alcoholic beverages for those who would love a nice cold beer and their food! Love the mood, vibes with music and all the people enjoying the atmosphere! read more

Love this place ! Easy parking, no need to pay to get in. I came today on their 2026 opening to try out some new vendors. Unfortunately they were sold out of the food I wanted when I got there but it's ok ! There's so many great options so it's hard to choose. I usually like to start off with a lap around the area then choose what I want to eat :) service is always great. I just wish there was more shaded areas to sit down at, it's always so packed ! But I don't mind ! read more
I first went to Smorgasburg in 2018 and this was my second visit. There's a wide selection of food, drinks, and sweets to peruse. They also have two Michelada Bars for those who are parched. The parking structure offers 2 hours of free parking, which is sufficient time to satiate yourself. read more
Love coming here. Sundays 11 to 4pm. Wonderful food selection to choose from. Pizza, Tacos, BBQ, Garlic Noodles, Lobster Noodles, Nachos. Vegan options. The envious is cool Sunday vibes. Today was the final Smorg of 2025 and the 2nd Annual Caribbean Christmas. The DJ was spinning new and older hits that had a lot of people dancing in lines or as they walked around. I specifically attended to try Bridgetown Roti and ordered Mom's curry chicken roti and callaloo patty. I enjoyed the punchy curry spices, tender roti, and crunch turmeric slaw. The patty was flaky and moist -- gone before I could even take notes. I finally tried the sugarcane juice from Sweetgrass - calamansi was the perfect complement. The floral citrus flavor was delicious and sweet without being overbearing. This was the perfect way to spend Sunday afternoon! read more

A great way to enjoy a Sunday trying different foods and drinks and browse the different vendors there! + Open every Sunday from 10-4pm + Parking is easy at The Row, free for the first 2 hours + A variety of different foods and drinks stands, gives the opportunity to explore so many different types of food. + I've always had great interactions with every vendor I have come in contact with I would bring a hat, especially in the summer because it can get toasty out! Just know that pets are not allowed, only service animals read more

Free parking if within two hours at the structure. Lots of vendors inside. Wait times can be a bit long for the popular ones. My favorites were Full Send BBQ, Macheen, and Softies. For dessert def check out Moom Maam. Go with a big group to try everything. read more
Always a fun time coming on Sundays from 10-4 as they do have different vendors at the food stalls, my favorites are Full Send BBQ, Granita Ice, and Dumplings. Free parking up to a certain time and they do offer alcohol, I just wish they provided more seating read more
Smorgasburg LA is such a fun Sunday event and definitely worth checking out! Free admission, easy parking in the structure, and it's open every Sunday at ROW DTLA--perfect for a weekend foodie adventure. The atmosphere is lively with a DJ spinning music that sets the vibe while you explore the dozens of booths. I loved that most lines weren't too long, with the exception of Miya Miya (totally understandable since they've gone viral). Their chicken shawarma and fries were absolutely worth the wait--juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I also stopped by Glad, where the focaccia with burrata and prosciutto was a great little appetizer snack, fresh and light but still indulgent. Over at the I Love Micheladas beer garden, I tried the mango michelada and it was delicious--refreshing, tangy, and a perfect pairing with the hot day. They also had a really nice selection of beers if micheladas aren't your thing. Overall, Smorgasburg is a fantastic Sunday destination to try new pop-up restaurants, grab a drink, and just hang out in a fun and welcoming space. Between the music, food variety, and smooth logistics, it's easy to see why this is one of LA's best weekend events. Can't wait to come back and try even more vendors! read more
There are many choices for food. I was here for the food choices. Today was "A Very Caribbean Christmas" Sunday. I didn't try anything Caribbean but purchased Maya Salsa from El Maya Gourmet. I had to buy it because it was spicy and had lots of flavour, which is rare in supermarket Salsas. I got a Pull Pork Nacho (photo) from Black Sugar Rib, another pleasant treat that differs from what I get from a restaurant. All services are average after you get in a long or short line. Outdoor ambiance is expected from open-area food courts. Two hours of free parking, additional charges if over. read more

Smorgusburg is a lot of fun! They have a parking structure on site, but it does fill up quickly. Parking costs money if you're there longer than three hours. I can't remember the exact amount, but I believe it was around $10 for 3 hours and $15 for 4+ hours. There is a huge variety of food vendors here, so you're sure to find something you like. Compared to other food markets, like the 626 night market, I found the portions and the prices here more reasonable. Personally, I like food markets for trying a little bit of a lot of things and usually find the portions are way too big. The day we went, there was also a live dj, free photo booth, and a michelada tent. It's a very fun atmosphere, and kid friendly if your kids are okay with crowds. The venue itself is very contained with fencing and one large entrance area. They say it's dog free, but there were definitely non-service animals in attendance. read more

Smorgasburg LA is definitely a foodie's playground. The variety of vendors and cuisines is impressive--you can find everything from creative street food to unique desserts. I tried a few different stalls and everything was flavorful, fresh, and fun to eat. That said, the prices are on the higher side for what you're getting, especially since it's more of a casual food market setup. Still, the atmosphere is lively, the options are endless, and it's a great place to spend a weekend afternoon if you don't mind splurging a bit. Overall, tasty food and a cool experience--just be prepared to pay more than your usual food market outing. read more
BEST SUNDAY FAMILY ACTIVITY. Impressively huge, well organized, outdoor food market in downtown LA with many food vendors of different cultures and ethnicities serving exquisite one of a kind foods and innovative drinks. In addition, there are many pop-up shops selling art, handmade trinkets, clothing, textiles and more. Such a wonderful experience walking around meeting friendly booth owners and learning about their businesses. While it was crowded and busy, there were many tables on the side for sitting. People gladly shared tables. Everyone cleaned up after themselves. Overall, relaxed atmosphere. read more
Love this place when the weather is cooler. They have a huge public parking building with plenty of parking. They have a great selection of food. Sweets, drinks, alcohol and shopping. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of "The ROW DTLA," a high end shop/work/live area just east of LA's skid row, but the highlight here has got to be Sunday's Smorgasburg. 100 food trucks and stalls, plenty of seating, a designated ice cream/dessert zone, two hours free parking ... wow. It's a much more manageable '626 Night Market,' only during the day, with shorter lines, and free. Super friendly and easygoing foodie crowd, sampling everything from the LA food scene, including a whole pizza. I can never say no to that one. Keep your eyes peeled for some Filipino cream-cheesey ube muffins. OMG so good. read more

OVERALL : I have not been to Smorgasburg in a while, but it was such a treat coming back! The food options are tasty, and there's a wide variety of options to pick from. Truly something for everyone! Very casual but lively spot to hang out with friends / family on a Sunday afternoon and grab lunch from a local business. This review is for Bernie's Shaved Ice specifically -- a new vendor that just opened during the end of 2024. They serve granita ice, which is a shaved ice / frozen dessert. It was a hot day, so their fruit flavors were really refreshing! They freeze fresh juices/purees and then shave it. Then, they add a marshmallow meringue to the top and toast it for a fun topping to go with the icy treat underneath! Price can be a bit steep if you're buying a lot for a large group, but I understand the cost comes from the fresh ingredients they use. Service was fast and friendly, and the shaved ice came out quick. Great summer treat! PARKING : This is a vendor located in Smorgasburg, an outdoor market hosted at the Row DTLA every Sunday 10am - 4pm. Park at the structure located on 777 Alameda St and it's free parking for the first 2 hrs! FOOD/DRINKS : Strawberry and Mint Granita - my fav! sweetness of the strawberry balanced w the mint and made more of a treat with the airy marshmallow on top Hibiscus and Lime Granita - i usually don't eat too many hibiscus flavored things, this was light and pleasant. lime wasnt too overpowering. read more
I LOVE SMORGASBURG LA! (Even though the correct spelling is Smorgasbord!) The definition of Smorgasbord is a "buffet offering a variety of hot and cold meats, salads, hors d'oeuvres, etc." and also "a wide range of something, a variety". Smorgasburg is located at The Row in DTLA, right off of Alameda. Smorgasburg only happens on Sundays. Parking is free for the first two hours in the parking structure. Admission is free as well. There are lots and lots of food vendors and the best part is the VARIETY. They are mostly small business owners, some with no store front who only do pop ups. A lot of them are regulars at Smorgasburg LA. There is something for everyone! I love supporting the various small business vendors that sell there. This venue is 100% outdoors. You place your order and wait for your food, then go grab a table. There tables in shade, under umbrellas, or you can step out of Smorgasburg and go hang out along The Row, there are plenty of seating areas. There's a DJ playing music, there is a center aisle selling goods of different kinds, there are plenty of vendors selling desserts and drinks. There really is something for everyone. The only downside to this and I won't even take a star away from this review, is the fact that it is on an asphalt and concrete loading dock area so it is HOT on warm days. I've only visited during warmer months so I hope to check it out this coming winter to see if there's a difference. Bring your $$$, it isn't cheap but the food is worth it! read more
What a way to kick off a Sunday! I admit, I came to L.A. a bit overwhelmed by where to go and what to eat. Coming to Smorgasburg let me have a little bit of a lot and and a unique experience all the way around. There seems to be a bit for everyone, from tacos to burgers to noodles to hot dogs to rice to drinks to desserts to so much more. Plus it boasts food from different parts of the world, a beer garden, shopping and Ice Cream Alley. After doing a lap to get the lay of it all, I went with a Korean hot dog, my first ever. I would definitely get this again. It had all the fried, indulgent goodness that you want from a food vendor. I also indulged in a beer, ube brioche bun, Hawaiian shaved ice and Thai tea ice cream. I visited with my local team from work, and they were all able to get what suited their fancy as well. Smorgasburg has free, close parking (such a plus!) and ample photo opportunities and backdrops. This is a slam dunk all around. I hope I get to visit again! read more

No but they are pretty lenient when people say their dogs are service animals. I see lots of dogs there even though every time i ask they say no dogs allowed.

Only service dogs. I was going to bring mine but it gets so hot there that he probably would've been miserable
Coming here for my birthday next week, should we expect to get there right at 10? Is there a line to get in?
Not really a line. But usually a crowd already waiting to get in. I suggest arriving early if you have a big group going so you can get seating at the beer garden. Get your table 1st and take turns going to get food.
Does it open every weekend and what time?
Yes but holidays may vary. It opens at 10 and I suggest getting there early if you wanna beat certain food lines.
Is there restrooms?
Yes but you'll have to exit the area and use the public restrooms in the shopping area which is right outside.

We are not open yet... sorry. We are still waiting for the county to issue us the permits we need to reopen.
Is it still open on Sunday's?
No unfortunately it is currently closed due to Covid :(
Are there bathrooms?
Yes, it's within the premise. Near the shops. Not porta potties either.
Can I bring my dog?
I didn't recall seeing personal 'pets' there, so do not think it's allowed. But I suggest checking their website to see if dogs or any registered service animal is approved or not. GL!
What are the parking options/fees in the area?
There is a multi-level parking lot next to the Smorgasburg. The first two hours are free. After the first two hours, it's $2.50 for three hours, $5.00 for four hours, $8.00 for six hours, and $12.00 for all day.
