My 1st time here and honestly was hoping to see a good varieties of Thai street food but there were only 4-5 food stands with a few Thai snacks, Thai salads and 1 stand that had standard Thai lunch/dinner menu from which I ordered Chicken Pad See Ew, Thai Shrimp Fried Rice and a Chicken thigh Skewer from another one.All of the food tasted very good & fresh and people were very friendly but I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the small number of food stands & lack of Thai food varieties. read more

Got here around 6:10 on a warm Monday. We parked in the 99 cent store parking (which is shared with a few other businesses) and the vendors were lined up on the sidewalk. Since we were there pretty early there were no lines and seemed like a good amount of vendors were already set up. We decided to look through all the stalls and then decided what to order. We got a ton of things and everything we ordered were less than $15. They included grilled squid body ($13), bbq pork or chicken skewers (10/$10!!), Laos sausage ($5), pandan and Thai tea buns (3/$6), longan juice ($5), Thai tea ($4), beef soup ($10), pandan and coconut jello ($5), and nam khao tod ($10). Everything was delicious! My favorites were the pork skewers (so juicy), the pandan bun (strong pandan flavor and not too sweet), the squid (came with an awesome garlic sauce), and the nam khao tod (so savory and goes great with the lettuce)! All the vendors were extremely friendly and suggested things to try or gave out samples. I think some vendors were missing at the time we went like the pandan crepes, crispy pork belly, and seafood so I would definitely come back to try them but also get some of the same things! It was super cool to be able to experience this because there were a lot of items that I hadn't seen before or as often in Thai restaurants in the US. read more

It was a lot smaller than in the pictures. We gave it a chance anyway! We did drive an hour to get there... Got something from almost every table there and it was perfect. It wasn't too many choices and the meat skewers were cooked to perfection. A friend that was with me said that the skewers were better at this market than at the larger Thai markets because they aren't trying to churn out a huge number. Here they take care in making sure the meat is still tender and juicy. All the food reminded me of my childhood. So delicious. I made the mistake of getting a papaya salad with "medium" spice. Thai medium spice levels are very hot for the normal palette. So that was my bad. I ate it all anyway. Did I cry a little? Sure. Was my stomach messed up after? Yeah. Was it worth it? Great Vendors with Amazing bites! The market is on the side of a big parking area shared with other businesses but finding a spot was pretty easy. We got here around 6:30 and there was already about a dozen vendors set up with a ton of options. My friends and I came here and had a blast trying everyone's fresh and unique street food! Some of our options included pandang & thai tea flavored milk steam buns, Grilled Seasoned Squid body, iced Longan juice with the fresh fruit sitting inside, fresh chicken and pork skewers, and made to order spicy nam khao tod. I think everything was very reasonably priced given the fact that the food is being prepared in front of you, on the spot, their packaging is great, the vendors' good vibes and... oh yeah BECAUSE IT ALL TASTES AMAZING. I think everything we got was very tasty, had strong flavors, and satisfying for every craving we each had. The night market was a little small, but it was good! I think a majority, if not all, of the cooks were actually Thai. So you know it's authentic!! You also know it's real cause they be cooking everything in the same pan over and over again. So there's naturally an extra burst of flavor. There aren't really any spots to eat so you'll probably have to eat in your car or be willing to eat on the curb or parking lot floor. I went with four people and it was nice cause we got to get a bunch of different food to taste! Hoy Tod (5/5): its mussel in an egg omelette. I pour the red sauce on it to get the full flavor. It was really good! Nam kao tod (4/5): it's crispy friend rice with pink meat (Nam). It was crispy, refreshing, sour, and good! Ruam mit (5/5): it's a bunch of different things in coconut milk. Reminds me of my childhood. Lod chong (4/5): it's Pandan rolled into a tube so it looks like worms in either Pandan water or coconut milk, I forget. It was sweet but I think after eating the ruam mit and this at the same time it tasted less sweet cause the ruam mit probably had more sugar. Tofu kra pow (4/5): it was very flavorful! Pandan roll (5/5): light green spread on dinner roll. It was sweet and absolutely delicious! Thai tea roll (4/5): orange spread in dinner roll. I thought it was okay, but my friends like it! Matcha roll (5/5): dark green spread on dinner roll. I wasn't expecting the matcha to taste so good and rich. I was pleasantly surprised! Lao sausage (4/5): you can taste all of the different herbs and spices in it. Mango sticky rice (5/5): the mangoes were perfect and sweet and soft like butter. I came on Tuesday at 7:30pm and the night market was still running. About 10-15 vendors as it is winter time and not as popular as it was during summer. Also means no wait, food doesn't run out, and super easy parking. Located on the 99cent store parking lot with a bunch of parking. All the foods are cooked fresh and hot in front of you. Cash dominant! (Some take zelle) 10/10 Bbq Pork Skewers $10/10pcs - my godddd these were so dam good! It's a must get! The poor was juicy, perfectly marinated (savory and slightly sweet), and cooked to tender. Great price! Wished they had more meat selection but the pork was amazing! 10/10 Pad Kee Mao Beef $10 - wide thick noodles cooked and seasoned in their Thai sauces, egg, bean sprouts, bell peppers, onions, and beef. They fry this up in front of you on a wok and there was so much flavor in this dish! Asked them to make it super spicy and most Thai places hesitate but they delivered! Spice level 8/10! Best pad kee mao I've ever had if not it is at least by far the best for taste:price ratio. Would come back and try the other dishes as well. 8/10 Nam Khao Tod $10/3pcs - I think this was a crispy rice salad. It is made from little crispy rice balls and they mash 3 of them up and add spices and seasoning. It has a savory and perfectly light sour (from lime) taste. Not sure if there is meat but I think eat this combined with the bbq skewers from above is solid!! Steam Bun $5/3pcs 8/10 Thai Tea - the tea flavor was little light. Still really great creamy texture! Not too sweet :) 9/10 Pandan - surprisingly better than Thai tea. The pandan flavor stood out way more! Same amazing texture. 9/10 Pork Floss - great savory mix to change up the taste from sweet. The pork floss was little crispy which made it really good! Buns overall were just like the Hawaiian sweet rolls. They are soft, light, and airy pillows but not much else to them. I really like the Thai Night Market in Thai Town on Sunset Boulevard. It brings me back to when I was in Asia--it feels just like the street foods in Thailand. There are many different vendors with menu items like bbq satay, desserts, boba, tacos, drinks, and the list goes on and on. It's not always the same vendors, so each day has different vendors, but it's usually the same core group. Do note that this happens only on Monday and Tuesday nights from about 6:30 p..m. - 10:00 p.m. PST. Another important note is that it is cash only. The parking is also insane because there are so many people. Overall, I highly recommend it. I ordered various things like a Thai crepe, bbq skewers, and Thai desserts. I even got pupusas, so it's not just Thai food! The prices are also very reasonable and the food is good. There's a reason why there's a huge crowd. I have never been to Thailand but it looks exactly like the pictures and videos I've seen! This is a small mini outdoor night market with vendors lined up on the block selling all kinds of goods from meat sticks, e-sarn sausages, crepes, papaya salad, fish maw soup, chicken noodle soup, boat noodles, frozen pork balls, frozen hot dogs, popsicles, pad Thai, just about anything. Last Monday was my 1st time visiting and I'm glad I got to experience it before the city shut it down. I saw they got shut down on Tuesday which sucks because I would love to go back and try more foods. Hopefully they bring this back soon or find a place where they are able to sell. My boyfriend and I are obsessed with this night market. We spent a lot of time in Asia recently and have been missing the night markets ever since. This place definitely satisfies that craving. They're only open Monday and Tuesday nights but it's so worth it if you can make it. So far we have tried the pad thai, sai oua sausages, mango sticky rice, pork skewers, pandan buns, nam khao and sausages in tamarind sauce. Everything is so delicious and inexpensive. Our favorites are definitely the juicy pork skewers, nam khao (Laotian crispy rice salad) and mango sticky rice. For $1 a skewer you can't go wrong. All of the vendors are so friendly and will offer you samples if you ask. Some vendors accept Venmo but make sure you bring some cash just in case. I'm obsessed!! My family and I came on a whim and was so surprised how authentic everything was! It felt like I was back in Asia at the night markets. The market is small but mighty! There was so much delicious food and super affordable compared to other food festivals. All the vendors were so kind and genuine. Amazing food at amazing prices! It's a small nightmarket on just one small section of sidewalk. I walked out of their full as heck and happy my wallet didn't die like it would at "other" night markets. I got skewers, sausage, papaya salad (not pictured), coconut ice cream, and grilled squid. Skewers- there's a few stalls, but this one is the only with veggies on it. B There's beef ($3), chicken($2.5), pork ($2.5). Get the beef, it's the best in my opinion. It's tender, sweet, and savory. Sausage- lemon grass heavy. Personally wasn't into it cuz if the lemon grass. Coconut ice cream. Homemade and soo good. The vendor also has popsicle like desserts too. Grilled squid- legs and head are priced differently. I got both for ($19). They cut it up for you and we sauced it with a tamarind sauce. Super tender and delicious with the sauce, get it. Papaya salad- fresh, funky, and SPICY. Comes with baby crabs so there's this funkiness that's really good. The lady offered 2 peppers with the dish... 1 is spicy enough lol. read more

Great little gem! This seriously brought back memories of the night markets in Thailand! The food was very authentic and hard to find in restaurants! Foods we ate: Crepes - soo yummy! It was a bit of a wait as there were sooo many people who ordered and walked to other stalls, but also so worth it. The crepes were very thin and crispy! Loved the savory crab, sausage, and egg mix! Halo halo- I always tell my Filipino husband I would love a drinkable kind (as he always says it's shaved ice meant to be eaten) at last! I found a drinkable one that is yummy! Sweet buns - got a pack of 3 flavors. It's Hawaiian buns with stuffed sauces or pork floss steamed. Definitely something new. While I could pass on this, my son loved it! Chicken skin - so crispy, and flavorful! I personally prefer the Filipino one as it is more airy but this is smaller more munchable size. Rice noodle rolls with minced pork and tofu - this one really brought me back to Thailand. The flavors were there as well as the authentic flavors they had available. I also really move rice noodle rolls as they absorb all the flavors of any sauces, stews, and curries. The best Asian night market! It's authentic, draws everyone in, reasonably priced, and just amazing food! While my husband couldn't join me, I had brought my own Tupperware and they were willing to let me put my food in it. Some of the dishes still came with their own Tupperware such as my larb and papaya salad. I should have brought more tupperwares! Everything is made fresh, my clothing smelled like a fresh charcoal bbq even though it was all outdoor. The main highlights for this venue that I've tried so far are the grilled squid/cuttlefish, fresh papaya salad, and larb! There's one vendor whose Thai sausage was my favorite- they sell egg roll and shrimp egg rolls as well. Overall, great new night market on Mon and Tues only. (6:30-10pm). Look for street parking or you can try to get some parking in the 99 cents lot. Bring cash! A few vendors take venmo, but cash is the easiest. Went on a Tuesday night and was a bit anticlimatic. On social media I had seen a variety of street food like squid, skewer, and sweets. I'm not sure if this was supposed to be a seasonal thing or if they would have more on a Monday but when I went there were only two Thai food stands and the rest were Mexican tacos. They did taste good though. At night in Hollywood in a sketchy area but thankfully nothing happened. I tried the sausage on stick which was good. Such a fun experience, I keep wanting to go back! I am a huge fan of Thai food esp Thai street food. It's pretty comparable to street foods in Thailand. My favorite was Mango Salad (similar to papaya salad but made with mangoes) and of course grilled squid . Parking can be a little difficult and be aware if you bring a stroller it can be tight since the vendors are set up on the sidewalk.
