First time trying Teddy's and before I forget... the address on Yelp is the building across the street from the truck so whichever direction you are coming from on Sunset, look on the other side of the street and start to look for street parking. Not surprisingly, birria is the only protein they offer and you use it in various ways like taco, quesadilla, vampiro or mulita. Had a chance to try all the options with the most popular deluxe plate which I recommend as it comes with birria consume or else you need to order consume as a side. Check them if you're in the mood for birria. After thinking about all the options offered that I ate, I think mulita was the best.

As a Los Angeles native, I didn't know there was a huge following for Teddy's Red Tacos (but that's not telling much, since I live under a rock). Teddy's Red Taco is a chain of Food Trucks all over Southern California. I really liked their Birria cup con Carne (Cosume). It's a little pricey for soup - but I can feel a lot of work was put into the dish. It was perfect for a chilly February Monday night. I had finished my 6 mile run and it hit the spot. Warming me up and providing me with that salty goodness. They provided seats and hand sanitizer.

Nothing hits more than this when you're craving flavor! Parking is a bit tough to get here and there are locations closer to me, but I specially come here because the tacos are THAT much juicier! They always serve you with a smile here and it feels super laid back because of the truck. I even stayed to eat during a bit of a sprinkle because they are that worth it. 5/5 will always come back to Teddy's for authentic, red taco experience! Thank you Teddy's for bringing this recipe back from Mexico!

The only thing better than the food at Teddy's Red Tacos are the people. I took these yesterday, Sunday January 12th, at Fire Station 69 in the Pacific Palisades. These wonderful humans have been feeding the incredible fire fighters, free of charge, as they have (and continue to) tirelessly battle one of the biggest fires California has ever faced. The Teddy's food truck, parked among the rubble of what used to be family homes and businesses, surrounded by over 25 exhausted firefighters, brought a light in what felt like impossible darkness. To say the Teddy's workers & owners are generous people would be an understatement. Even in an economy that already makes running a restaurant difficult, The Teddy's owners and management team are feeding hundreds of first responders on their own dime. Their employees, despite the dangers of being in an active fire zone, have been their day and night, dedicating themselves to the Palisades community. Thank you to everyone taking in part in making the Teddy's magic happen. You are some of the most self-less people I have ever met. & your food is delicious. I can't speak highly enough of Teddy's!!!!!

I've given this place a good amount of chances as of lately, And today my flabbers have been gasted. This would be about the 3rd time they do this. I was born and raised in echo park and have been coming to this joint since they posted up. This place went from being delicious to making my stomach turn You guys feed this to loyal customers. It's disgusting, and should be embarrassed. PAY ATTENTION. BE CONSIDERATE.

My first birria experience ever, and it was absolutely delicious! Teddy's Red Tacos has multiple locations in LA, but the closest one was this food truck parked on the side of Sunset Blvd. My boyfriend and I tried The Deluxe first, which is basically a combo with one of everything. We loved the quesadillas because they're crispy on the outside and filled with melted cheese, tender birria, onions, and cilantro inside. Some of the cheese near the edge was toasted to golden brown perfection. The vampiro, mulita, and tostadas were kind of hard in texture (but not super crispy) and didn't have a very strong flavor, so we opted to just get more of the amazing quesadillas (pictured below). The salsa is spicy but not that necessary to me since you get a cup of consomme to dip them in. Highly recommend the birria quesadillas!

BEST BIRRIA TACOS EVER. Our friends took us on a taco tour this past weekend and man...I'm so glad we made a trip to Teddy's. The area they park in is kind of random and when we went it was midday and no line, lucky us. I was pretty full from the last truck, but wanted to try their tacos and I'm glad I did! The meat is so tender and flavorful. They add plenty of cheese too and the salsa is spicyyyyy. I ordered a cup of consumè too and it was packed with flavor. My mouth is watering from writing this review. I can't wait to go back and order their Deluxe next time!

Teddys Tacos is a Taco truck so don't let it go by - make sure to stop by and try it your self . I came around 1:30 pm on a Tuesday. I'm sad that I ate the vampire tacos fast because of my excitement so I didn't capture a picture except for the Tostada . I ordered the following -1Tostada of Birria : let me say it's crunchy & the meat is juicy and flavorful! Next was -2 Vampiros with cheese : the tacos tortillas was slightly toasted but also soft . The tortillas are layered with cheese at the base then meat plus the onion & cilantro Thank you to the Team on Sunset Blvd . You satisfied my craving . I'll see you another time !

So Birria taco's is a new style of preparing Mexican food, it's still the same taco's, quesadillas and tostadas, but they're pan fried in a reddish broth. Still crunchy, but that broth is infused into the tortilla and meat, they even give you a cup of that broth, (consume) to dip your tacos in, kind of like a Mexican version of the French beef dip sandwich. For the newcomers, there is a combo plate that has a little bit of everything, so this would be a good plate to start with, it comes with a couple of tacos, a mulitas (kind of a crunchy cheese sandwich, with meat) and a meat and cheese quesadilla. The mulitas was a little hard to dip in to the small cup of consume, but the tacos and quesadilla were simply wonderful, the shredded beef and cheese quesadilla was my favorite. The only negative thing about the food was that it was a little on the oily side, but the taste was great. 4 stars from me!

Delicious street tacos. The salsa is spacey but it goes so goes with the tacos. It's worth the wait. The line moves quick. I've gone multiple times when I'm out in the LA area so I definitely recommend.

    Are the birria tacos gluten-free?

Went by tonight and no truck, are they closed tuesdays?

Same. Stopped by today, Wednesday and the truck was not there. Need to update their business hours.

So what are the real hours of this place? Yelp claims they're open on Fridays but they are not

I stopped this Friday at 3:20pm and the truck was there. Right accross Bahia. There were still a couple of people ordering when I left. Hope this help.

How do we track/follow you? Im sure you move around.

I believe that truck is in the same location every day.

Are they open Sundays? If so what Hours?

I go by google maps. Says the one on sunset is open from 8am to 5pm on Sunday.

    What are the hours?

The food truck hours are 9am to 7pm

I ordered two carne asada, one chorizo, and one al pastor. The condiment setup was also really good. Let me tell you, this hit the spot! I loved the grilled onions, serranos, hot sauce, and especially the curtido de habanero,so good. The carne asada was okay slightly on the tougher side but the chorizo and al pastor were really solid. I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. I also loved how it was not grainy at all. A good pairing with the rich foods. They also have a good amount of seating at the stand with a long table and multiple chairs. Parking is tricky since its street parking only.

Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. The parking lot is quite small, so I parked on a side street that had some abandoned cars, but of course, if you are in/from LA, this is not that new for us. I would hesitate if I am a tourist though to make it out here. Anyhow, the food really is worth it here, and I can't wait to be back!

We found easy street parking in the neighborhood on 41st Street, and waited in line for about 15-20 minutes. We ordered the asada tacos. They pre-sauce your tacos, which was fine by me, but my boyfriend who can't handle as much spice would've preferred it on the side (so warning for anyone similar! they do put a little habanero on them, so just ask them for salsa on the side). I think I ran into a problem of reading too many raving reviews -- these tacos were good but I was expecting them to be mind blowing, so I was a little disappointed. I tasted the charcoal char, but kind of wished the taste was more pronounced, or at least the meat more seasoned. The hand made tortillas were definitely the coolest part, but I thought they were a little dry too. The ladies whipping those out are artists though. Actually, all the workers here have the assembly line down to the tea, and they definitely add a little flare for a show. I particularly liked how they had a lot of seating at this location, instead of just a couple stools lying around like most taco trucks. It felt more like outdoor patio seating than a normal taco stand. They could probably take more time to wipe down tables more often though. Overall would visit again if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for the tacos here.

Another standout was the Scallop Aguachile. The portion of scallops was surprisingly generous, and the bright, tart sauce complemented the sweetness of the scallops perfectly. Easily one of the best aguachiles I've had. My fiancé ordered the seafood soup, and it was just as impressive. It was loaded with fish and shellfish, making it feel well worth the price. It's definitely on the softer side as everything mixes together and there's not much of a texture change. Worth trying if you are curious though. I ordered to go so I didn't see if they have a salsa bar but I did have to pay $.10 per to go container which would be nice if they were free. However, I liked mixing their red and green salsa with each bite. I am curious to try their avocado salsa next time. Overall, I thought the portion sizes were good for the prices and I felt full afterwards.
