There are multiple stations that are open to the rest of the department store. Booking online was quick and seamless. They had same day appointments so I was easily able to drop in. They were fairly busy so I'd recommend an appointment but they do take walk ins. Humberto helped me and was super sweet and nice. He explained exactly what he was doing and had me go through the brow shape in the mirror for each side of my face. He worked quickly and touched up my wax with tweezers and I was in and out pretty shortly. Prices were transparently displayed and they take tip in cash or card. Would recommend for a quick brow place in the loop. They also do lamination, threading, and tinting here.

I've been a…read moreloyal client for brow aestheticians here from Cherie, to Vanessa, to Mercedes, to Cathy, to DeAndre over the years, as well as meeting, on several occasions, the district manager at the time, Jae. From these past visits, I've never had a negative experience with them. Today, I came into Benefit on State Street and I receive a brow waxing service from Shavece. She was kind and had great conversation - and also did a great job on my brows. However, towards the end of my service, Shavece takes a purple paste and applies it (she took it past my eyes, and I could not see in the moment what was actually happening, as my eyes were opening and closing during the wax), but I could feel it being applied. She says "I'm just adding our special paste and it'll take all of the dirt and debris out of your pimple". OK.. I know that Benefit offers eye masks during their service, so maybe this is something that will enhance my service? I asked her to remove it, because I do not ask for it. Shavece wipes off the paste and begins to squeeze the pimple that is on my forehead. I ask "excuse me, what are you doing?" She says "sorry I just think this pimple is ready up come to a head... that doesn't hurt does it?" I respond "yes that hurts a lot, please stop". She continues and I say "please leave my pimple alone, this is not what I came in here for". She says "ok sorry". She then gives me a mirror to look at my brows, and I see that the pimple that's on my forehead is now bleeding, purple, more inflamed and irritated. I'm not someone who pops my pimples, and I for sure did not come into Benefit for my brow aestheticians to pop it during a service that was booked for an eyebrow wax - especially without my consent. I asked her for a tissue as the bump was bleeding pretty bad and I needed to stop the blood. She proceeds to check me out and asks "did you want to leave a tip?" A tip that I would give is not to touch parts on a customers face that is not given permission to do so. I did not come in for a pimple consultation. I did not come in for a pimple treatment. I did not come in to get "pimple paste". I called the brow bar directly and spoke with the manager, Mariaelena, and she basically upheld what the aesthetician did. She claimed that popping pimples and applying pimple paste was a part of the service. Never in my 15 years of coming to benefit have I ever had that done. I've had pimples on my forehead or on my face before, while being serviced at the many locations I've visited, and no aesthetician has ever done this. If you're touching someone's face, it should never be something that the aesthetician simply chooses to do - and if it's brought to the managers attention, there should be more sincerity and apology towards the customer. You don't just start extracting a customers pimple or something on their face without their consent as I could be allergic or have skin that is sensitive to certain products, which I do. That's not a part of the waiver that sign before initiating the service and I was extremely dissatisfied. I came in for a brow wax - and I'm not sure if she assumed that she was being helpful, but this experience has deterred me from returning to this Benefit location in the future.

Aleshia broke my Brazilian and leg waxing virginity! She is an awesome person, and very quick and efficient (which is very much needed when your getting the hair snatched out your hoo-hah). The t.v. is very helpful in distracting you from what's about to happen or happening. Plus, if you're like me and like to talk she listens to you and may even offer her opinion. And her prices are pretty reasonable for what she's offering. And a bonus is that she uses two different waxes (hard and soft). And if you go back to her for maintenance, it's cheaper than getting a full Brazilian. Tip: If you're new to her, make sure you turn the door handle first if you think she's closed, because she keeps the lobby dim. read more

I have gone here twice now for brazilian wax and a facial. This is a small skincare clinic with a spa feel to it. The location is great and they even have valet parking for $10 bucks. I thought the techician was extremely knowledgable about skin and seemed interested in saving me money (score). I slept like a baby through the entire facial! I was a little nervy about going to a new place for a Brazilian wax but much to my surprise it was waaaay better than the other place I go to. I loved this place! I actually went to the wrong location and upon realization of my mistake I called and let them know I would be late and they were so nice and accommodating and even stayed open late so I could make my appointment. Their location is just across the street from Macy's with easy access to the el, valet and/or metered parking. Their space is very clean and the staff is very professional. I was given a brazilian wax by Aleshia and she was great and talked me through the whole process. I will definitely go back and be recommending Smuve to my friends. read more

You enter through the back entrance of Water Tower mall and take the elevator bank next to Freshii to the 9th floor. I have been a regular Brazilian wax customer since discovering her from a Groupon deal. Her easy going personality puts me right at ease in what can otherwise be an awkward interaction. She is quick and efficient. Even without a Groupon deal, her pricing is great. These Gold Coast places will price gouge you so it's nice to have found someone in the area who does a great job at a fair price and form a relationship to as a repeat customer. And I have even more praise, because Eva is also very responsive. I can call or text her (sometimes very last minute) and she will try her best to fit me in. I'm lucky to have found this business and so are you!

The tint was wiped off a second after putting it on for my brows and I never noticed a different with the tint. The brow lamination lasted about 3-4 weeks. I wish the tint showed up, maybe it needs to be on more than 1 second, although she did say if left on longer it would be too dark but I did not notice a difference. For the lash lift I am upset about this service. My lashes were pretty crooked/all over the place. The service also made a lot of my lashes fall out. I really wanted to love this. I am open to trying again, I've seen great results on other people. Maybe I just need to try a different technician.

Even when I called then I was asked if I wanted to mask up and come in and I little taken aback at the staff and management's willingness to risk safety. I was then told well do you want to move it to later and my response was, "I will still have the flu later." They charged me but said it would be credited at my next appointment and it was. Fast forward. I have a birthday trip coming up and I originally booked my appointment for Wednesday morning but then changed it to Tuesday evening at 8:30. My car fob died and my car is push to start. I called them immediately and said I could uber but it would get me there five minutes after the grace period. They said I was the last appointment of the day so they wouldn't allow even though they're open til 9 and I would have made it by 8:45. I ask if I can come at 9 as they had complete open avails for Wednesday from 9 to 3 PM.. I was told no. I would be charged for tonight and then again the next day. I say this is ridiculous as I am a regular, this is out of my control and you've had no appointments all night except for me. I did not cost the business money. You are supposed to stay open til 9 and I have offered two solutions. I am not going to pay 150 for a wax because i am being double charged. So, I book elsewhere. This morning at 9 AM, I get a call saying they will grant me a one time courtesy to walk in between 9:30 and 4:00 as they have lots of openings. I state that I said this yesterday and they told me that they are enforcing policy and that yesterday I was told I could not make another appointment and this is different as it is a walk in. I said it isn't given that there's no one on the books. The point is, I could've been accommodated. I told them I booked elsewhere and I wont be back. Marking me as a no-show when I called ahead to explain what was going on is honestly a little crazy to me. They are so callous and cold. The front desk can be very non-chalant and rude. Happy to receive my services elsewhere moving forward. Update - they have responded saying this has happened multiple times. It literally has not. It happened one time when I had the flu. I had a doc appointment the same day and wanted to be proactive. At the end of the day your staff and this response is absolutely why I will not be coming back to your awful customer service. So I guess we are both fortunate and blessed. Calling me to offer an appointment I could have gotten yesterday and not allowing me to arrive three to five minutes after the grace period for a situation beyond my control is nuts. You close at 9. I would have been done by then. This establishment never needs to worry about me. Terrible management. Terrible staff. My favorite waver left and I will be following her regardless. She said she hated working here and your waxers consistently complain about how you make them uncomfortable and that these rules are unnecessary as you all do not stay booked - ie - all time slots open today from 9 to 3. Your turn over is high and it will continue to be because the establishment is run by raggedy, unkind people.
