The storage room, not a problem every business have a room where you throw things into, that's not a problem just make sure it's appropriate because it's"spa" you are going in to be comfortable. Regarding the "old school" comment, we live a few blocks away from your studio and been to countless spas in the area, this service is what you had available on your site when I booked. I don't know anything about a September special I paid 235$ for the facial I didn't buy it looking for a discount, just checked your website again and the most expensive facial on there is 300$ I believe, so not sure what discount I received. 235$ for a basic facial is pricey. Also our conversation over the phone you mentioned, you guys were doing laundry that day, so you guys knowingly gave her a dirty body wrap with the stains, no matter what reason it's unacceptable. End of the day that's your business, and it's her experience I definitely didn't go in looking for a discounted facial, my wife still tipped 40$. When we had a conversation over the phone it was different, this response makes it seem like I booked a discount facial and got what I deserved? I called on a Monday, without registering that the business is closed on Monday (what can I say, I was in full-blown vacation-preparation madness mode?). Yana picked up the phone and was very efficient in booking the appointment. This in and of itself made my day. The day I came here the elevator was broken (but repaired by the time I left) and the spa itself is located in an office building. I am glad that I overcame my trepidation as Yana is a pro and highly personable to boot (she got that I didn't want to chit-chat during a waxing appointment, but yet there was no awkwardness). I usually laser, but due to a snafu on my end, I needed an emergency intervention before I braved the resort beaches of Naples, FL and after a long Chicago winter. I received my first DMK treatment yesterday... the experience was amazing. Yana was super sweet, walked through everything she was doing and provided extensive knowledge on the brands and products as well. My skin looked glowing after! It is definitely worth your money, the entire experience is 2 hours long (includes exfoliation, extractions and the DMK enzyme mask of course). I was worried about the pulsing and stiffness of the mask (it hardens on your face for 45 minutes) but it wasn't bad at all. Yana was in the room with me while the mask was setting which was nice just in case I had any questions about anything. I already booked my second treatment with her. Highly recommend. read more

I get my facials and waxing done at Luxe Spa by Yana. I get facials once every two months (I especially love the chemical peels) she is really good and gentle and my skin looks amazing. I have noticed a huge difference in my skin since I started seeing her. Highly recommend. I also like getting my wax needs done here. Yana is fantastic! First of all, it is extremely easy to get an appointment as booking online is very easy. You get an email and/or text confirmation and is very easy to modify is necessary as well. I actually found Yana based on fantastic Yelp reviews as she is very close to my apartment. The first time I went to see her, was my first time having a Brazilian wax. She made me feel at ease and really wasn't too painful as she uses very gentle wax. She is extremely personable and I enjoy going. I just went for the second time and bought a package, 6 waxes for $330, which is $55 a session vs $70 if bought as a single. I won't go anywhere else and see her every 4-6 weeks. I have been received services at both locations with both owners and enjoyed both spas. Each spa is unique and special in their own way therefore it depends on what type of environment your prefer. I admit I was anxious about getting my services done in a shared office space after being used to a private spa like setting but I was quickly put at ease. The reception area is comfortable and on trend. While the spa area is relaxing and intimate. My services with Yana are always "on point" and I love the products the spa uses. Yana is the BEST esthetician in the city of Chicago! She's been my esthetician for over a year now and I work with her exclusively. I initially started seeing her when she was at another studio and when I heard she was moving to her own place I gladly followed her. If she moves again, I will follow there too because she does an amazing job. This particular location is so conveniently located and beautiful (the office overlooks Michigan Ave!) and is so clean, comforting, and relaxing (they have a diverse offering of beverages, everything is super clean, and even the towels are warm and fluffy). When I first started seeing Yana, I had just recovered from a traumatic Brazilian experience, at another studio, where I was burned by the wax (Ouch!). I was super scared, but she was very gentle and even after cooling the wax she tested it on a small area to make sure I wouldn't get burned. Brazilians are also tricky for me because my hair is somewhat fine; she's the only esthetician, I've worked with, who has been able to remove every single hair. She also has great advice on skin care in between waxes--I also just booked my first facial with her, which I am super excited about. Looking at some of the older reviews, it looks like some yelpers have had negative experiences with the past owners--I would encourage folks to give it a go with the new management. I reviewed the original Luxe Spa on Walton with 5 stars. Thiat was with the original management team which was amazing. I visited Luxe Spa at the new location on Michigan and wow... let me say this was a HUGE disappointment. First of all, the good staff has left along with management/owners. The new "spa" is in the middle of a business center in the Chase building. The elevator was broke when i tried to go to the 4th fl for my appointment. It is not a relaxing environment at all. I was told that I was booked with a masseuse who specialized in deep tissue massages.... that could not have been true, she was terrible. This massage was below average for $160. Very disappointed in the service and experience. NOTE: beware when you are looking at reviews like Emma M who has written two reviews only for the two Luxe Spas. Was recommended to this establishment, went in with some apprehension due to the reviews. Not sure what they were talking about, the elevator worked and the procedure was excellent. Got a facial, and let me tell you, she worked her magic on me and I was in heaven. Been around the block a few times and at most elite level salons in the city. I could not be happier with Yana, or the service I received at Luxe Spa. I originally received a gift certificate for the old Luxe Spa (before they moved) for a 60-minute massage. I moved out of the city and didn't realize I forgot to use my certificate. When I called, Yana was so nice and allowed me to transfer my credit to a facial. Though she was running late the day of my appointment, she made me a latte (which was delicious), and took extra time with me to make sure I was a satisfied customer. She is very personable and approachable, and knows her stuff. My skin looks and feels fantastic after over an hour-long session with her, and I can't wait for an opportunity to go back. Side note - I was at the old Luxe Spa previously, and I can honestly say that I prefer working with Yana instead.
