What a find! Looking for something fresh and hot, this is the place to come. Stopped by for a late lunch around 2:30 when most restaurants are half awake, we were greeted cheerfully by the owner and seated promptly. He recommended his shot chicken sandwich and burgers and they did not disappoint! Both were hot and fresh and husband said his hot chicken sandwich was better than Hattie Bs. Though different from some I've had, I thought it was good and plentiful. The girls had the chicken and waffles. Neither could finish but thought the chicken lacked flavor. My husband and I ate at this restaurant just before Christmas. My husband had the Rueben and I had Eggs and Bacon. Wasn't bad and we decided to go back and try something different. My husband had meat loaf, mashed potatoes and green beans. Had to pay 2.00 extra for green beans. Bland green beans no flavor in mashed potatoes. I had a cheeseburger and fries. My burger was raw. I told them about it and the owner snatched my burger off my plate with his bare hands rubbing his hands on the fries on my plate. I was a waitress before and I would have never picked up someone's food with my hands to carry to the kitchen. You take the entire plate. He brought back a new plate and fresh fries so why not take the plate. I could tell he was upset that I complained by the angry way he snatched the burger . I will never eat there again. I can't say much on her part but the mac and cheese was 2 different textures and it was not good. One was like when you melt shredded cheese and the other was like sand paper it was weird. Thinking maybe it's really good and it can be my quick close to home hot chicken fix instead of driving all the to Nashville for Hattie b. It was $8.99 and comes with fries. Food came out pretty fast and was still hot on the plate. The fries were so so. I'm not much of fry guy anyway. But the sandwich was pretty dang good. I finished it all and it's not as good as Hattie's but definitely worth getting again. It was kind of pricey maybe wish for that price I could of got an extra side like cole slaw or something, but I can tell why the menu is kind of pricey. Mainly because the lack of customers they get so they have to have the price up in order to make money. Which is reasonable, maybe the more people that come try this place out the better it'll be in return. We came on a Thursday morning and there was only one couple seated and eating already. We all ordered our food. Two other parties came in after us and ordered after and got their food before us. We literally waited about 45 minutes to get our food and this place was literally empty. The food was also pretty bad. The corn beef hash was atrocious, deli slices of corn beef with chopped up frozen potatoes. The biscuit was also raw and doughy. My wife's eggs were overcooked and rubbery and her sausage was burnt. My friend got her food 15 minutes after our food was served. Literally the worst dining experience i have ever experienced and i dont recommed this place to anyone. --------------------- If yelp would allow me to leave negative stars, i would. The owner replied to me with a disrespectful and unprofessional response to my original review. Calling me no good for any business is uncalled for when all i did was leave an honest review from my experience. You should have taken my review to correct your mistakes, your food isnt fresh nor tasty, your service is subpar, and your professionalism is nonexistant. Not sure how this place got to 4.5 stars they must have a very large family - only good thing I can say is the food was actually pretty good other than that nothing great. Took over 45 minutes to get our food to the table. We had 4 people at our table and there were only 5 or 6 other tables in the entire restaurant. Each of our meals came out separately so we weren't able to eat together as a family - which kinda stunk.
