So I made a special trip just to get some Coxihnia. First time visiting this place and I like their menu. Light meals and snacks. At nearly 9pm I was able to get an açaí smoothie and the last chicken Coxihnia. Found this gem after hitting the dispensary next door. Lol very strategic placement! There are so many options I was so surprised. The prices were amazing and the food we got to try was really good. The coffee is a little sweet if you get a flavor FYI I'm glad we were able to try this place out. However, the food did take a little while to come out. This place is hands down the best for mini coxinhas; however, I highly recommend skipping the large coxinhas as they lack flavor. I used to be a fan of their açaí when it was served from buckets, but since they switched to a soft serve machine, the açaí tastes watered down and isn't the same. I also recommend the chicken sliders--they taste incredible with a delicious cilantro-type salsa. However, I wish there was an option to request extra sauce. Every time I ask, even offering to pay more, the employees say they cannot accommodate the request. The ambience is good too, creating a pleasant environment to enjoy your meal. read more

Coxinhas are one of my favorites and their snack size was intriguing as I've never seen one that tiny. We got the cheese, chicken, broccoli and Buffalo chicken flavors. Definitely liked the broccoli and Buffalo chicken--the Buffalo had a bit of a kick which was surprising because Brazilian food has never tasted spicy to me. Service was friendly and patient as we decided what to get. I really enjoyed visiting this hidden gem! I love that they have healthy options to choose from for the times you don;t necessarily want to have a desert or heavier breakfast. I absolutely LOVE their green juice and have ordered a couple of times. I have also had one of their breakfast sandwiches and their smoked salmon sandwich as well. I was satisfied with both but especially the smoked salmon sandwich and that's largely because of the Brazilian bread. Each time I've visited the customer service was good and the service was fast. I LOVE this place. Just noticed this place while walking to Dunkin Donuts in the same plaza & decided to try there instead. Place was clean & cozy, a tad bit too dim bordering on romantic in the middle of the day but the staff members were cheerful, attentive & extremely pleasant, that added a lot of brightness to the place. Very versatile menu that does not read like most Portuguese spots that you have to ask what everything is. Low Prices here on something's given the good to great quality and some things are priced really reasonable. I was slightly disappointed they didn't have a turkey burger as a few people were having Beef burgers & they looked really good. I ordered a caprese panini, truffle fries, the mini stuffed chicken, 3 cheese croquets, churro bites & iced Galoa Latte, the cheese croquets were just ok when compared to everything else that to me, was Great. The guy bedside me was having a super sized empanada that they call a Pastelao that you can add up to 3 fillings, it looked beautiful & I will be trying one on my next visit. The smoothie menu also looks really good. Given the scarcity of good fast food spots in this side Newark for non Latin speakers, this place is a welcomed discovery for me. Staff was very friendly and gave A+ service like that of a good upscale dine in restaurant. I was really impressed by this place & you should definitely check it out if you are in Newark, I think they have a few more locations in other parts of Essex county too. Not a criticism but a A suggestion to the owners to install a few sound diffuser boards on the walls as the machines, the music & a group of ppl having convo can cause a lot of echo to bounce around as the place is tightly sealed. The small bites are difficult to distinguish (buffalo chicken tasted like regular chicken, and both looked like same mush). The bacon chicken wrap was really chewy and dry. My jaw got tired after the first half so I gave up. It comes with French fries which are same as the kind you get at chicken shack (also happens to be my fave variety). Once my hunger passed, I threw out half of it. I actually threw away most of the order except the cake. The coconut cloud cake was best part. It's perfect balanced and not too sweet. Love this place. I wanted to order everything on the menu, literally. We ended up getting the medium box of party size coxinhas. You can pick different types of coxinhas so we got the buffalo chicken, original, and the three cheeses. It was delicious!! We also got a small order of kibbeh with cheese inside and that was also really good. Everything was very fresh and delicious. The inside of the place is really cute! Very clean and nicely set up. I also decided to try one of the fresh juices, but was disappointed with the one I chose. I got the green detox drink which was $6.50, so I expected more out of it. It tasted very bland.. not much flavor to it. Wouldn't order it again. Thought it was pretty pricey for a fresh juice compared to other places in the area.. Also the parking here isn't so great, we did have to park our car on the side of the parking lot with hazard lights on while we ate since there were no spots available. Im not reallt impressed by the pink sauce kinda tastes like ranch and ketchup. I had the brigadeiro cake in a cup that was pretty good.
