This place has a great vibe and aesthetic inside. The bathrooms are down the stairs and they have a whole game room in a big bault. Each game is seven dollars per person or you can bring your own for free. We got a few appetizers that were really great and we also got coffee. The coffee was okay- I wouldn't recommend it. Our service was great and the place was really big inside. parking is just on the street. Would love to come back !!

It's always a good time when I've come here. A TON of games, the drinks and food are good and they have coffee all night! Can't go wrong here for a date or a friends outing. We always find something new to play. Also a great place to meet new people if you're alone, everyone's chill

What a great spot! I'm a huge gamer, and I love tabletop games, so when I had the chance to check this place out with some friends I was super excited. The ambiance is fun - designed with decor to feel like a castle/fantasy place, with tables large enough to accommodate games. The centerpiece is the game vault. Walking into it was really cool, seeing all of the games organized by categories, and getting to chat with their game experts was helpful for learning about new games that would work for our group size. Part of the $7 per person game charge is that it covers having one of the game experts come over and get the group started on their game - reading through rule books is often the most laborious part of setting up and getting going with a new game, so having someone be able to skip that part and get us right into game play was worth it. The menu is a bit lacking. It's basically bar food, and the drinks are centered around alcohol (which I get, large profit margin). If you have some niche dietary requirements you may struggle here, I'd recommend looking over the menu before deciding if you want to plan to eat here. I can say the coffee is tasty, my partner had tea and enjoyed it, but if you're also not a drinker there isn't a whole lot for you, either. The food I did get (pretzel bites and a flatbread) was solid, so no complaints there from me. All in all, I do plan to go back sooner than later - it was great for finding new games!

Visiting from out of state and was very excited to see there was a Snakes and Lattes here after stumbling across one in Arizona. The staff was kind, attentive and overall very helpful. There person working the Game Vault while we were there was fun to talk to, knowledgable and overall seemed excited about games. The atmosphere was nice and honestly we would have stayed longer IF there was a vegan option for food (I don't mean just a vegan burger without the bun) It sounds like the menu had just recently changed and the offerings were just not great at all for varying food preferences/restrictions. *Sad to say but don't go here if you are vegan and want something to eat.

I have to write about the mac and cheese, that dish truly wrecked my experience here. It's a really cool vibe and all the other food was good, the cookie with ice cream was great and the sweet potato fries were nice!!! The general vibe is cool as well and the selection of games was crazy looking! Our server was really pleasant and overall had a good time. But the mac and cheese was really watery and I couldn't eat it.

Wtf is this mac and cheese. It was like cheese water noodles with some extra cheese melted on top. It looked good until you actually tried stirring it, we were actually grossed out. Fries were good and the concept is really cool. The decor is super immersive and there's a great game selection. But wtf. It was so bad. Had a stomach ache afterwards.

Snakes and Lattes was so fun! I love the concept - a spot that not only has a wide range of board games to play but also drinks and food. The prices are also reasonable, paying $7 per person for the game pass and if you'd like a bite or something to drink, it won't cost you an arm and a leg. One thing that stood out to me was their little shop where you can actually purchase brand new board games if you liked one that you tried. We did a walk-in late afternoon but you can also make reservations online. I got a Cinnamon Bun Latte which was really good! The games are in a little room that looked like a library. It was super cute and they had such a wide variety of games from your classic ones to new ones. The nice part is, if you get overwhelmed, there is also a "game librarian" who can help you pick one out based on what you like. We played 2 classic board games and got the chance to try 3 new ones! This is also a great spot to try out board games before committing to buying them. I'm looking forward to coming back with friends!

As someone who loves board games, this is the perfect spot for a casual hangout with friends. It's only $7 per person and you have access to so many games and I appreciated how organized they all were. The service was also good too and I liked how you can split the tab easily if you have a big group. However the food was so bad. We came around 6 pm on a Sunday night only to find that most things on the food menu were unavailable. The Caesar salad tasted like it was from a salad kit in the grocery store and the crispy chicken sandwich didn't look like the pictures and tasted burnt. The sweet potato fries were also soggy. I would come here for the experience but skip the food and eat at home or order food from another place.

Loved the team here! Staff was incredibly helpful and kind. They checked in on us, had such a breadth of knowledge on the games, were available to teach, and gave great choice suggestions for next time. We were able to get a seat on a Friday night even without a reservation at one of their picnic style tables. 2 hour time slots for busy nights but we were able to stay for 3. I can't get over the selection of games. They're broken up nicely into categories: staff picks, award winners, Chicago themed, classics, group/party, doubles, team vs the game, etc. The food was okay, nothing to write home about, but you're really here for the fun. I did like the app used to order and pay. Made splitting the bill easy!

My new favorite coffee shop... ever?? It was so good I managed to fit it in TWICE in a short trip…read more And have NOT shut up about it since I came back!! Military latte ($7.25)-- matcha and espresso mixed together with milk I don't know what sorcery they put in this but it's SO GOOD!! like matcha and espresso had a baby idk but they kept all the good parts of each other and balance each other out. For example, the matchy isn't earthy or chalky like some places or fake like the Starbucks one. The espresso isn't sour or burnt. And somehow when you combine both of them it's this perfect mellow blend but has the slight bitterness of both matcha/espresso where you're like "ah yes it's not just milk" that flavor really pulls through. But again it's mellow and blends together sooooo well like perfect mesh my goodness. Doesn't overpower doesn't feel like you're drinking matcha and coffee at the same time. It just becomes like a new thing altogether and that thing is glorious. The first time I got it iced (and the black camo latte hot) and all I could think about was how much better it would be hot.... So I had to come back for it !! And it ISSSS better hot. I enjoy hot lattes the hot milk and lack of ice is smoother and blends it together better or something. Obviously the iced version wasn't bad because I still had a great time... but when I came back for the second time and got it hot like YESSS THIS IS IT !!! Black camo latte ($7.25)-- same as Military but instead of matcha it's hojicha mixed with espresso! I took sips of this (as opposed to it being my own drink) and thought it was good! Really depends on if you like the taste of matcha or hojicha more. This one is deeper and richer, more earthy. Maybe even caramelized roast kinda flavor? Buuuut I know hojicha isn't for everyone so take it with a grain of salt. The combo with espresso is magical though like whatever ratio they're using is so perfect. It really blends together so well. ANDDDD here the coffee:milk ratio is so good!! No milky watered down lattes! I'm so used to having to add espresso shots or asking for less milk because coffee shops really be wildin in this economy but this place has a good ratio! Like yes wow we still have good things I love this for us. Matcha lemonade ($7)-- So absurdly sour I took one sip and that was enough for me!!! You really have to be a lemonade person like if that's your drink of choice to quench your thirst on a hot day then this is for you!! If you don't drink lemonade on the regular then I really wouldn't bother. I think this is a collab with a charity or something? Up your vitamin C for a good cause I guess. Cortado ($4.50)-- Espresso and milk, small cup, good test of their espresso and yesssss it passes with flying colors. And again, this place has their milk ratio down to a science. Perfectly balanced, not too much milk and you still taste all the coffee. Love love loveeeeee this place and would absolutely love an LA location. Until then, guess I'll have to plan another Chicago trip to get this goodness again !!!

There was already a small line of guests with the same idea, but we were able to get on the waitlist. While waiting, we checked out the small coffee shop inside the gallery and browsed the furniture, which helped pass the time. Our wait was about an hour before being escorted to our table in the courtyard. Initially, we were placed at a low coffee table with couch seating. It's a cool lounge style setup, especially for drinks, but not ideal for a meal. It would have been pretty awkward trying to eat comfortably. We asked to be moved and were told that table preferences should be requested when joining the waitlist. Since it was my first time visiting, I wasn't aware of that, and it also wasn't asked by the hostess. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate us and moved us to a table in the wine cellar. The wine cellar had a completely different vibe, dark and moody, compared to the bright, airy courtyard with its beautiful glass ceiling and natural light. We ordered the lobster roll and the RH Burger, both with fries. The food came out fairly quickly and was well-presented. The lobster roll was served on a buttery brioche with just the right amount of seasoning, and the burger was juicy and flavorful. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely visit again.

We also had the crispy artichokes meh. What saved my night was the chicken salad. The crispy bits...amazing all through the salad. So good. Let's talk dessert, the butterscotch crème brûlée so good. Coffee and a port wine.... Good, but where is the cheese board. This place would benefit from real liquor and a desert cheese board. I mean I must believe that RH has a cheese board on offer somewhere. Anyway, nice evening and decent food in a mostly lovely place.
