The gym has great equipment and is kept clean. Friendly staff there to help if needed.

All too often the bathrooms/changing rooms are filthy with clogged toilets. There are never enough paper towels, which means people can't clean the equipment properly after each use. When staff is there, which is rare, they are usually sitting in the office staring at their phone. read more

West Milford Location: I live about a half a mile in distance from the West Milford location... Gloriana (the 'manager') at that location is so rude, there are a million 'rules' on printed paper taped to the walls all throughout the entire gym, nothing wrong with being sanitary of course, but every.single.time that I went to that gym midday, she got in my personal space with her mops, vacuums etc in between my machine and the empty machines beside me and everyone else. It got annoying after a while. My last straw was when I drove to that gym right after a snowstorm and she came up to me when I was on the elliptical machine accusing me of bringing my salty shoes inside staining the carpet. She then says, I know that you walk to the gym but please bring a change of shoes next time. I got off of the elliptical and walked right out to drive home, not walk. I truly do not believe it was my sneakers that stained her precious carpet but how rude?! Ringwood Location: I now drive 15 minutes out of my way nearly every day to visit Ringwood location. They clean their gym at the right times as I have never had an issue with the workers tidying the facility up in my personal space ever. This location is literally double/maybe even triple the size of the West Milford location which is also nice, more options. My husband and I have been visiting this gym for the past 2+ years and are overall happy. Small Downside: monthly fees. If you are willing to drive an additional 15-20 minutes, there are other gyms which offer even more amenities that are much lower in fees. read more

This is probably my favorite gym I've been to planet fitness and retro fitness but do not compare .

I live ridiculously close to this gym and I really want to like it for that reason. But I can't justify $40 a month for small gym with no frills and barely any management present. Retro Fitness is about the same but their dues are $10 a month. Planet Fitness is about 15 minutes away with two levels of equipment, tanning & massage chairs included for $20 a month. I just don't get it. This place seems like a decent gym for those who just want to get a workout in and go if it were around $10-20/month. Edited to add: No showers. No locker room whatsoever. If you want to change you have to do it in the single-person one room bathroom. Management only there for a few hours in the afternoon. Again, this would be ok but not for $40/month. read more

Extremely satisfied in every way! Got a good laugh out of the 2 poor reviews. Didn't even seem like members. Here is a review from a real member! Have been here since December 2016. $40 a month for a 24/7 gym that has plenty of great workout machines, weights, showers, etc is FANTASTIC in my book! Not to mention no contract and no hidden fees like the awful planet fitness 15 minutes away as some mentioned. (Which btw I use to be a member of and can say from experience - broken machines all the time, dirty bathrooms, unhappy staff and hidden fees!) I don't need a locker at snap I have a personal cubby I can use or can walk a foot out the door and be to my car! read your supposed contracts. i placed a hold on account and it was supposed to cancel if not used. i was charged and immediately called and they will not refund my high monthly rate of 95.91. for 3 people. insane right and its a small gym. i was signed up in 5 minutes for 3 people and told sign sign . just a bit aggravated that they wouldnt even change the charge when i immediately called on 1st when i havent been billed for 3 months. they need to be more customer service oriented and use the supposed snap fitness of no contracts. beware read more

I've been a member of Snap Ringwood for over two years, and couldn't be happier. The facility is always clean, including and especially the bathrooms. It was expanded in the past year, and now includes showers and an area for group classes. I primarily use the treadmill and perform body weight exercises, but have also conducted weight training, and found the number of free weights and cable machines sufficient, although the back squat rack can get busy. The owner, Ed, and the personal trainers are friendly and helpful, and are always happy to answer questions or offer advice. Different strokes for different folks but for $40 per month, Snap has enabled me to reach my fitness goals. read more

Yes, I too live very close to this gym. However, I love it! I would recommend it to everyone. If you work hard enough...you WILL get your monies worth! I've been going for several months and couldn't ask for anything more. Just when I do think of an improvement...they're on it already. Super staff, Awesome trainers, but most of all very comfortable environment! I feel like I'm with my family while I'm there. This is where TOWNIES GO with their bad spray tans and their overweight husbands. For $40 a month you can get a much better workout somewhere else. Save money and go to Planet Fitness where they have THREE TIMES the equipment, and women and men that actually know how to work out and are friendly. I live so close by and let me tell You, the good reviews I think are written by owners family members/acquaintances, because this gym is owned by guy who is so money oriented and unprofessional that is disgrace. I was thrown out for using accessible stereo as guy left a message(still have it) that his equipment cost 7 thousand dollars. Why did I Use it? I'm professional dancer and DJ for hobby. My music player broke down and can't practice my dance routines without music. Regardless, nobody even talked to me. I'm sorry for using it And was willing to pay fine. The Owner just left a message. I disagreed with that decision and went in since everybody knew me there. To write and leave note asking for forgiveness and chance to be member, not because this gym is awesome, but simply convenient and only one in town. He called the police that I trespassed. I'm sorry but I'm not coming back, even if he paid me:((( His gym is not for its members but for him to make/worry about money:(( and I go to the gym to relax:(( Hope Snap Fitness Headquarters do something about it, because if he represents it- he should not strictly look from his own financial perspective. Gym is small. Stinky. Funny sb wrote it's always clean ha ha... and I think even though it was winter ac can be put on once in a while to kill the smell...
