The store is brighlty-lit, colorful, and the layout is incredibly easy to navigate. The staff is amazing - friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They'll explain how everything works and navigate you through your visit. It doesn't get much easier than Snap! Snap Kitchen is all about crafted food that is both nutritious and delicious. It's like having your own team of chefs, nutritionists, farmers, ranchers and other suppliers that are working to provide you with good, healthy food. Review is for turkey meatloaf, chocolate "mousse," and "deviled" eggs. First observation - came out to a pretty expensive meal for hubby and me. Turkey meatloaf, accompanied by green beans and mashed yams, was delicious. There was plenty of red sauce for the turkey, which means a lot to me. Ratio of meat to veggies was just what I like - heavy on the meat and yams, light on the beans. "Mousse" was kind of gritty, but tasty. "Deviled" eggs meh. Filling was spicy hot but had little taste. Be aware that their "Scottish" salmon is farmed - I asked. I can't believe a pricey place like this is selling farmed salmon. Although it is a little weird buying a meal and heating it up, it tasted good and I could tell it was very healthy. In particular, I was impressed with the cold press juices available. I love snap foods. This is the only "fast food" you'll see me eat; quick, fresh, healthy, and tastes good. It's on way way to work so I frequently pick something up. This place is the same concept as fit foods, but instead of being straight PROTIEN, the meals are more well rounded. Definitely female friendly. I now tend to skip right past the pre-made and go straight for the salad bar. The salads and options are amazing, so much better than whole foods and for a very good price. I am late! But I finally tried the place out. The place reminds me of myfitfoods. Prepared meals for your healthy needs. BUT the differences are, the price and the quality of the food they use. Snap Kitchen serves gluten free and dairy free product. They also have better quality meat and they will meet your healthy expectations when it comes to food if you have no time to cook or prepare for meals. I think the price is much higher than myfitfoods but the food actually taste pretty good. I'm a fan of the turkey meatloaf. Healthy place to go for the need of a quick healthy meal. Their foods are pre prepared, fresh, in house or at another Snap Kitchen location around town. So you come in grab breakfast, lunch or dinner and you're off. Quick and easy. Or heat your food there and dine in. They also have their foods in different sizes, small, medium, and large which is nice. The foods are labeled well. Things like low sodium, paleo, dairy free, gluten free, carb conscious are conveniently marked. So far I've tried their broccoli cheddar soup, naked chicken and tuscan kale (so much flavor!), grass fed meat balls, almonds crusted chicken strips, smoked salmon snack, chocolate chips cookies, key lime pie, and goat cheese cheesecake! I don't have many negatives to say about this place, as I do find it conveniently easy when trying to eat healthy and lack the free time to cook every meal. However, I want to warn you of some of their meals. I went in this morning to pick up a couple of days worth or bfast, lunch and dinner and decided to try their "Quinoa Muesli". I was VERY disappointed...first, it was SO sweet I felt I was eating a ultra sweetened apple sauce, I looked at the nutritional label and it showed 24g of SUGAR! WTF? That's like eating a snickers bar! Also, only 5g of protein. Quinoa is loaded with protein for this bfast item to only have 5g of it? I find that a bit ridiculous, and against the point of eating a balanced meal. I also picked up an Oatmega bar for a snack and realized this only has 8g of sugar and 14g of protein! BIG difference, and the bar only cost me $2.25, while the horrible quinoa costs me $5.75... These are the sort of things to look out for. Read the labels if you are sugar and carb conscience and want to get the maximum protein out of your meals. Besides this, I have had pretty good experiences with the other meals, but will definitely be more cautious in the future! read more

I have a gluten allergy so I've become pretty dedicated to packing my lunch beforehand to prevent any tough situations finding food I can eat. Snap Kitchen has changed that. I originally started eating here in conjunction with joining WeightWatchers early last year, but continue to do so because of the staff and delicious food (even after having achieved my weight goals). Terry and the others are great - they are always so friendly and helpful, and seem genuinely committed to the healthy food that the store offers. The food is head and shoulders above the competition (e.g., My Fit Foods). My personal faves are the Turkey Picadillo stuffed peppers and shrimp chorizo - but it's all good, really!! They also do a nice job of rotating the menu seasonally. Most folks buy and go, but I enjoy eating in the restaurant portion of this flagship store. I plan to remain a loyal customer! read more

I went to Snap Kitchen today. My friend suggested it for lunch and I was skeptical! When we walked in I saw the cooler with packaged food and thought it was much like My Fit Foods, which I'm not a fan of. Well, I was VERY wrong. Along the back of the store they have a build your own salad bar with so much to choose from. My friend and I both ordered the Asian chicken salad, and I had a blueberry mojito kombucha (which is made here in Houston!!). They put the perfect amount of dressing on the salad and the chicken was cooked just right. I will definitely be back to Snap Kitchen soon to try a different salad (I wanted them all) and I also look forward to trying the raw coconut macaroons they sell. read more

ACTUALLY HEALTHY! My dad took me here for my birthday and the salad was SO GOOD. Actually, remarkably good. I got the Spicy Jungle salad. It wasn't overly flavored by dressing, it was the super-fresh ingredients (which I'm told are from local vendors) that made it amazing. The salad was so big I had to save it for lunch the next day and the prices are very reasonable. When I travel to Houston I love getting delivery from this place to stock up for my breakfasts and lunches. Word to the wise: the antioxidant juice has a lot of garlic in it. So much so that I prefer to not order it anymore but if you love garlic then this was juice was meant for you! I wasn't a huge fan of the provincial flatbread; it was kind of dry and bland but the jalapeño hummus is a great snack. The chicken teriyaki and forbidden rice bowl is delicious and runs out quickly so order early. Snap also does a lot of portion control with their food so if you're looking for fresh ingredients and calorie conscious fare then you won't regret stopping in or ordering delivery! read more

Like most, that hellacious area they call upper kirby is an area that I get sucked into from time to time. I had seen Snap several times in passing, and was familiar to the concept having come from DC with the wonderful Sweet Green. It's a bit different in the sense that they are like a salad place and a My Fit Foods all rolled into one. The concept is from Austin. The store itself is nicely organized, but in my opinion a bit on the high side. I ordered an Ahi Tuna salad and it was O-kay. There were cut up pieces of potatoes in there that didn't really belong, but all in all the tuna was fresh, and just 3 stars. (10.75) I also picked out a carrot ginger elixir ($3) and I was out the door $15 later. My friend had the Asian chicken and loved it....The individual meals looked a bit more interesting than My Fit Foods, but they were also more expensive, and I noticed they had options for kids too which I thought was cute. Would I eat here on a regular basis, probably not, but I would check it out again if I needed a healthy alternative. PS, I too tried the gluten free brownie, and it was pretty awesome! read more

I chose to come here for a lunch meeting since I hadn't been in a while. I forgot how much I love coming into Snap Kitchen. For starters I just love kitchens in general so this place just makes me happy. I love how the meals are divided into breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The plates range from small to large. They have a salad bar where you can choose to have your own salad made or you can pick one of their specialty salads. They even have an entire section of just juices. I was very impressed with the juice selection. My boss absolutely loved the place. She had never been and was just blown away with all the healthy selections. The cashier was very polite and the rest of the staff were very attentive. I noticed parking can be a drag around 12 so get there early or you will be looking for a park. read more

The guy that checked me out treated me like an inconvenience and threw my bag at me! He also asked if I wanted my receipt and before he even gave me a chance to reply he crumpled it up!
