On a cold day as I was at CVS I decided to try them. I live in Hopkinton and they have been around for quite a while, why this was my first time, I do not know? The ladies were terrific! Food is... OK. The hotdogs are snappy but too salty and a bit too bun-heavy. The toppings are lightly applied. I wish they would put prices on their big menu board. Can I just say WOW! Snappy Dogs lives up to their name. I ordered a "big dog" (see picture below) and it was DELICIOUS and full of snap. The snappiest dog I've ever had, if I do say so myself. I personally got their homemade cranberry chutney and zucchini relish on my dog and it was the perfect balance of zing and tang. For $5.50, I'll definitely be back for another very soon! Also, the two woman who own the stand are very friendly and kind. They make homemade baked chocolate chip cookies (which I tried & they are delicious), caramel popcorn, whoopie pies, etc. The possibilities are endless with these ladies! It's a one-of-a-kind hot dog stand. They definitely go above and beyond for you to get a unique hotdog experience. I do have to admit, I visited their stand 3 other times prior to my successful visit (during their hours of tues-sun) and they weren't open without a sign on the stand as to why and when they'd be officially opening. This is the cutest little hot dog stand! In the past, every time I would drive by, there would be a long line of people ordering their food and today was the first day I tried it. I picked Snappy Dogs for lunch today because it has outdoor seating, and I could bring my pup with me. They had plenty of outdoor seating and grassy places for dogs. Snappy Dog's menu was simple with a few items to choose from. They don't cook your order until you place your order. After you order, they give you your bun (unless you want your bun toasted) there's several different toppings you can put in your bun (relish, mustards, onions, sauerkraut, and so much more). The staff there were very very friendly and they knew their regulars. My husband recommends the big dog with the angry chili! I don't think Snappy Dogs is open year-round since it's an outdoor cart, but I will be back again with my pup! read more

Low 70s in early November! Global warming must be real. My friend and I decided to go bbq today at the park, but no charcoal was to be found at the stores we went to. This was not going to stop us from having a wonderful scenic picnic, so we decided to stop at Snappy Dogs to grab some hot dogs to go. We ordered the "Great Dane" which is a 1/2 lb hot dog and the beef hot sausage, both with chili and cheese. These were pretty good! It was a bit pricey considering they are just store bought hotdogs, but still worth it, if you are lazy and hungry and want something to grab and go like me! I love that the two women working there grilled them to order and there were a variety of condiments to chose from (sauerkraut, red onion relish, jalapeño, spicy coleslaw, regular coleslaw, etc) that were on the house. The hot dog stand is on the side of the road and there is plenty of parking in the parking lot. Surprisingly there's also a nice little area to sit and enjoy your hot dogs, but if you are like me and want something more scenic, grab you hot dogs and head 3 miles to Hopkington State Park to eat along the lake. We came around noon and there were only a few people there but within 10 minutes it got packed, so do plan accordingly. This place is popular with the locals! read more

A training class for my job sent me to the Hopkinton area today and I was lucky enough to discover this hidden gem while out on my lunch break. I love everything about this place and give it five stars for its unique concept, friendliness, and simple yet delicious menu. The women behind the counter of this adorable food stand are super friendly and welcoming. The menu is small and offers a variety of hot dogs or sausages which can be customized to your taste by adding one of their fresh, homemade toppings. Once your order is placed you are handed a bun and the hot dog of your choice is placed on the grill to be cooked as you wait. This is a great opportunity to load up that bun with your choice of relishes. I wish I was more of a relish fan, but I prefer just plain old mustard with the chicken sausage I ordered today. They offer zucchini and cranberry relishes that were highly recommended by other people in line at the stand. Chips, dessert, and beverages are available as well to make your meal complete. Take your hot dogs to go or enjoy a seat on one of the picnic tables out back. There is nothing better than an inexpensive yet satisfying and delicious lunch right off the grill. Love the hot dogs here. The Great Dane is awesome if you have a big appetite. The dogs are fresh right out of the grill and the condiments are delicious as well. Wish they had more seating. It gets pretty busy--especially on nice sunny days during business hours during lunch time. If you want a guaranteed seat, best bet is to probably bring a camping chair or something. :) read more

Large concession stands type doors that open out words and wood construction make the stand stick out in the parking lot it is stationed in. But fortunately the food is far from a circus. Food and service are as cozy as the hot dog stand its self. A warm environment is provided by the individuals running the stand. The great thing for me is they have hotdogs for everyone, meat eaters and vegetarians a like. The common connection is fresh and original toppings. They also have a variety of drinks from pop to Yoo-Hoo. They generally will have a variety of fresh deserts that will rival you local bakery. Its worth a trip from anywhere in New England.
