Two hardworking youngsters working in a pop-up / food truck setting .... Slinging the tastiest lobster roll I've had in quite some time. No real seating unless you are lucky enough to score the one picnic bench we saw - but you will down this lobster roll so fast that it doesn't really matter. Great service ... love the buttered and browned bun. The portions are still on the small side (hard to call 6 oz of lobster a "jumbo" - but they do). But compared to other lobster rolls you will find elsewhere, it's not bad value. My wife and I split that "jumbo" as a first-course light lunch and really enjoyed it. We will definitely be back !

Stumbled across this little gem while my visit in Falmouth Massachusetts. Gotta love supporting mom and pop shops. This cute little food stand on the side of the road definitely hit the spot when looking for a lobster roll. Got to sit and talk with the owner and what an awesome guy. Takes pride in his food. Orders, quality product. He sells everything from hotdogs, to andouille sausage, to lobster bisque, and of course this delicious lobster roll ($28) that I had. I got a half spicy half regular, and the spice was just the right hint. He tells me on certain days he makes homemade lobster bisque and I'm sad I'll be missing that. Thanks for the good talk and the delicious food. If I ever get back from Vegas, I'll definitely stop bye

Amazing. The spicy lobster roll is the best lobster roll I've ever had, bar none. Loaded with chunks of lobster meat inside a buttered, toasted roll, topped with jalapeño relish and spicy mayo. My husband and I got the jumbo lobster roll and a regular sized spicy version, then agreed after consuming both that we absolutely needed to get another spicy one. A must-stop if you're in Falmouth or if you're strolling through the bikeway. The menu is limited, just lobster rolls and hot dogs. But I love a place that does a few things spectacularly well. They've nailed the formula. I sometimes find lobster rolls to be a bit too bread-y but this one gloriously enhanced all the meat and was beautifully toasted, with no overwhelming butter left on your fingers. At one point, my husband dropped a ginormous chunk of lobster onto the grass where we were eating and I seriously considered abiding by the two second rule and popping it back into my mouth. Barking Claw is quite literally a stand by the side of the road (a tent, a cooler, and some grills churning out the magic) with one picnic table set up in the grassy area when we visited. When we came on a Sunday, there was an endless parade of cars coming in and out of the lot. The girls working the stand were so nice and one of them brought over our food when it was ready. If you're biking over from the Shining Sea Bikeway, it's only a few minutes away and you can stick to the sidewalk to avoid the cars.

Delish lobster rolls! I got the spicy one which wasn't super spicy, but it was super flavorful. It was amazing and I would definitely go back! Just fyi, it's just a cart and one picnic table.

Jumbo Lobster roll, half regular half spicy

Of all the places we tried for lobster rolls during our 4 day cape trip, this was by far our favorite. Family run business, fantastic roll. Got the jumbo and they did half spicy half regular. Both sides were outstanding. We drove 40 min to try this place and it was well worth it. Don't let the fact that it's a truck in a parking lot deter you!!!

We were the last customer of the day as we ordered the last lobster roll for the day. The lobster roll was very good. We sat under a big shade tree next to the parking lot and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The staff was so nice and chatted with us for a bit before offering us their last hot dog of the day as they were going to be closing shop. Definitely worth the stop. Make sure to come early as they do sell out! We got lucky!

    Regular jumbo size

One of the best lobster roll I had in a while. Simple ingredients showcasing the main dish. Lobster meat was served cold with piece of lettuce for crunch and served with warm buttered bun. Ordered the regular jumbo size ($36) and shared with hubby. My only complaint was that the jumbo size didn't live up to its name. Should be overflowing with lobster meat! I regretted sharing with hubby!

Owner reached out to let me know there was a mix up for my order and I actually received a traditional roll instead of a jumbo roll and gave me a refund. Greatly appreciate the honest business practice and good customer service. We will be back next time we are in Falmouth. One picnic table for eating and is mainly a take out place.

Love this little food truck. Great lobster role with melzed butter, yum! It is served on a large roll , not a hot dog roll.

We got both fresh offerings of oysters to start.- so good. For beverages, I had a Maine IPA & Kate had a pear pressure. We really enjoyed them both. Kate got the Seafood Pot Pie. The good news is we try each others meals. An absolute home run! The scrod, lobster, scallops and shrimp were perfect. Add in Newburg sauce asparagus and spinach, top it with a puff pastry to soak up the sauce-10 out of 10. There is a reason it's a house favorite. I had the baked seafood trio. Shrimp, scrod and scallops, with baked potato and asparagus. 2 u-15 shrimp, 3oz of fresh Chatham scrod and 3 local scallops, done in a lemon beurre blac. A small portion of each but delicious. The baked potato was just like you would hope. Asparagus was underdone, by our tastes, but not knocking the rating over that. Overall 8/10. Will try the blackened mahi mahi next visit. Kate's not budging from the seafood pot pie Our server Taryn was nice and busy. They have runners who are all over the place. Owner? out picking up plates and checking every time to make sure we were happy. Nearly half of my life was spent in the front of the house-that's how I treated every person I encountered in my establishments. This place was crazy busy. Every server, food runner, host etc had a genuine smile. Customers were happy, among them, many locals. Our take; if you are here for a few days or a while, make it a point to enjoy a meal here. Pretty confident you'll be happy you did.

In my experience one can tell a lot from a restaurant's name. With cliche names like "Quarterdeck," "Fisherman's Catch," etc. it's almost guaranteed to be average at best. I don't know why but it's usually true. I got a clam roll which turned out to be a mistake. I got it because I wanted a smaller portion than the platter. But the clams were oversized for a roll and too few in number so it was hard to eat. Good for a platter but for a roll, smaller clams and more of them would be better. But the clams though were fresh, cooked correctly, and the batter was decent, not outstanding. The roll was toasted and buttered, and a small lettuce leaf completed the sandwich. My biggest complaint was the tartar sauce, homemade, which was a disaster. Tasted of little more than plain mayonnaise. Unfortunately the fries were almost room temperature. I wasn't going to say anything but when the waitress came by and asked I told her. She apologized, took them away, and returned with a new platter of fries, a very large portion, and scaldingly hot. I was no longer so hungry but ate a good fraction of them, as leaving them after she brought a replacement just seemed rude. They weren't very good though; greasy and the oil didn't taste fresh. To drink I had a "mocktail" version of a Moscow Mule. It was way too sweet. Without the bite of alcohol it needed something else to tone down the sweetness. It wasn't cheap either. I should have just had a plain ginger ale. I would recommend trying someplace else instead. Lots of choices in the area.

Well this time I had my chowder there and this was last minute stop for dinner before heading out. Decided on the clam chowder and a cheese burger and onion rings. This place has been here for years serving vacation goers. Ppl typically get the fried clams which are large and good. This time I opted out. The cheeseburger was good tasty like u would expect at any clam shack. The onion rings were the beer batter type not the kind that falls off like other places. Decent slices of onion in the nice batter. Now to the chowder. This chowder after 1 sip your like woooow! Keep in mind that I just had the chowder yesterday so I got to compare. Just enough chunks of clam, onion, potatoes and other earth goodness. But for me I'm a broth guy and like to add crackers. But the flavor just resonated with me . This place was a contender. Maybe cuz I was sitting in the dock watch the boats come in and the sun was setting. I don't know but it was mmmmmm. Def try this place.

They roast all their beans in house (peep the giant machine inside to prove it!), and the pastries are baked fresh daily- nothing random lying around in cases for days on end like some other spots I've visited.
