I think I am giving this place a BIT of a higher rating than I feel it truly deserves based on its location. If I ever am in a press for time and cannot bring my lunch to work, my options in Richardson are EXTREMELY limited. All I want is a big salad for lunch. A salad with (gasp!) no meat, no cheese, no croutons, and no dressing. Really, it shouldn't be so hard to find a big bowl of vegetables. But the city of Richardson makes it so. There is Panera, but after working there for years in high school, I find it hard to drag myself in there. I usually found myself driving 12 minutes away to Whole Foods or Jason's Deli, which takes up half my lunch break. FINALLY, a salad bar arrives around the corner. You have NO idea how excited I am. But when I finally ordered my custom salmon salad for lunch, it just wasn't what I expected. Not for the price. The salmon was dry and the produce just did not seem all that fresh. I am still happy that it is there now - don't get me wrong - I will still go there over 99% of the restaurants in the area, but if I were in Dallas (not Richardson), it would be pretty far down the list. Eatzi's, Salata, Whole Foods, and Jason's Deli just do the custom to-go salad better. read more

Have tried many of the Snappy Salads. Haven't had a bad one yet. I especially enjoyed the Tender Peach. The Grilled Tenderloin was grilled to perfection (for me) and I really enjoyed the Mint Vinaigrette dressing. Go Snappy!! read more

I went to Snappy Salads for the first time this week and was pretty impressed. Mostly by the decor however. I love the "Urban" feel of the location and have heard that this is similar across all locations. I love that they are into recycling and composting their waste. I ordered the half make your own salad and didn't seem like a great value for $8. BUT it did taste good and I really enjoyed the spicy italian dressing. read more

When you get on that health kick, there really isn't a better option. The salad I ordered, the Ponzu Chicken was a bit overly watery -- not sure if it was from the salad dressing that was applied, but it was still tasty. Just left the juice at the bottom of the bowl. The ordering process is pretty straightforward, but I found that I needed to repeat my order three time through the process. Best part about it all is the fiber consumption and the lack of a "mid-afternoon" slump from carb consumption. I'll be back. read more

I LOVE Snappy Salads. I used to go to the location in Northpark all the time, so I was excited to see that they had a storefront location near my house. We order online pretty frequently, and I was a little frustrated because the team never started my order until I arrived. I submitted a comment to the Snappy Salads website and the owner got back to me right away. It was a really nice gesture. We've ordered salads since then and never had a problem. The staff there is nice and I think they do a good job. You really should build your own snap- it's the only way to go. Pair it with some daily bread and you are all set. This is a hearty meal for sure. I only wish they delivered! read more

I love snappy salads and was happy to see one closer to my home. This one is still working out the kinks - service is much slower than at the other locations. It's fun to DIY but the menu and daily salads are also excellent. These folks know how to put together great flavor combinations in the menu salads, so I recommend going with them with no substitutions. Sometimes it's that one odd ingredient that really pulls the yum together. And I agree with the others about lots of dressing. I ask for half the usual amount. Great lunch spot! read more

The best management and best location of the best restaurant in Dallas--at least in our opinion. A great place to eat gluten-free and/or paleo. Vegan too if that's your thing. Healthy and delicious. Crazy, crazy variety: greens, toppings, dressings, proteins. We always get the "Full Snap" and create our salads on the fly. Really, the food here is great. And it's good for you. What are you waiting for? Oh, and of all of the places we eat in the DFW metroplex, this has the most interesting (and still listenable) music. read more

So for the first time ever I am amending one of my reviews. I have been to this place several more times and now unfortunately I am addicted. I followed a friend's advice and created my own salad. That's the way to go for sure. Way better outcome. Clearly I was not impressed by the salad I chose off the menu. I will stick with my original post in the fact that this place is pricy, but it's healthy so that comes with the territory I suppose. Also, the ordering line is intimidating so I have found ordering online is way easier. Trying to pick 12 toppings while 20 people are standing behind you is very nerve racking lol. Today I stopped by Snappy Salads on Campbell in Richardson for lunch with my son. It was his first time at Snappy Salads. I ordered the Yellowfin Tuna salad (my personal favorite), and my son ordered the Cobb salad with grilled shrimp. Both salads were excellent as usual! The grilled shrimp and seared rare Yellow Fin prepared to perfection. What made today's lunch experience extra special was Inga, the manager. Inga went from table to table, giving everyone a warm Texas-style welcome and making sure everyone was happy with their order. She does this with the care, charm, and finesses one might expect an owner would have. Major kudos to Inga!!! read more

Great to go or eat in food! The Asian salad is my favorite. They have all kinda of interesting dressings like the Brutus (play off of Caesar) . I get a half snap most of the time and I will get a full snap when I order a custom salad. It is always an AMAZING salad and a healthy meal. The take out is super easy and convenient. read more

I'm so happy I found this place! It's so hard to find something that's fast and healthy for dinner. I had the half - Grilled Avocado and my husband had the half- Texas Taco. We're pretty big eaters, so I wasn't sure it would fill me up but, both were HUGE and delicious! My husband is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, so I was concerned he would not be happy with a salad for dinner, but he was satisfied and said we should definitely add this place to our list! My kids split a chicken noodle soup ( which I tasted) and they are so picky, but it was really good they loved it! I did not find it expensive at all. I come to Fort worth location often. Always great quality and service. However I ordered chicken this time with my salad and I typically don't complain but the chicken was so overly salty it was not edible. I didnt take it back but I didn't eat it either. It also was not grilled in front of me which typically it is. Another issue is a service size of chicken is 4 oz but you are only given 3 oz. I found that interesting. read more

So excited when I found out Snappy Salads was so close to me. I love their food! However, we have ordered from the Richardson location 3 times now and every time the order is wrong. So disappointed.... The first time - we ordered 2 salads, they were delicious but not what we ordered. The 2nd time they left off the soup, the bread and sauces and this last time they left off the bread.... again! And when my husband got there to pick up the food - it wasn't ready because they stated they "didn't realize they had received an order" but they were able to easily pull it up and fill it. This is an unfortunate common occurrence in our area, the food is great but the restaurants fail because or customer service and/or bad management. I hope they fix their issues so we can continue to enjoy their yummy food! read more

I was soooooooo disappointed in my salad today. My CYO salad was horrible. HORRIBLE!!!! The salad was pricey. I paid for 2 half salads that totaled at 25.00. Now the problem is that I ordered this salmon and it was more like salmon jerky. I didnt know that the dressing should have been put on the side. All of my veggies were soggy, seemed like way too much dressing. The fact that I couldn't figure out where to go since I paid for my food in advance, because I have a 30 minute lunch, was really frustrating. I threw away at least 90% of that Sloppy Salad. **update, noone ever corrected this flop. And becausr it's been forever since then and no one ever contacted me, I gave them 1 star. I used to like Snappy Salad and was a regular for more than a year, but unfortunately the service has declined recently. Last week I ordered online and got grapes instead of the olives I ordered on my custom salad. They don't look that much alike! Then today I ordered in person and I wasn't permitted to have ground pepper on my salad. Not to mention they reduced the quantity of toppings permitted from 8 to 6 for the same price. Love the salads here! They are HUGE! I normally get the smaller size (the Half Snap) and it's almost always too much for me. My favorite salad by fear is the grilled avocado. It's amazingly good and very filling. Also love to just do my own thing sometimes. They had a new salad on the features board when I last went that had grilled salmon and a dill dressing. This may be my new favorite non-vegetarian salad. I hope they add this one to the menu! In general, I just love Snappy's passion for the environment and serving good food made from fresh, local ingredients.
