Service gets 5 STARS Food...So I shared the Ciabatta Cheesesteak Sandwich with my mom. It was actually tasty and flavorful. The bread was soft and the steak was tender. We were happy with the results. It was our first time eating this. It tasted better than it looked. 4 STARS Next up we shared the Bacon Bravo Turkey Sandwich. This use to be my favorite. It was truly disappointing. The bacon was nonexistent, the sandwich was dry it needed more than a drizzle. We didn't care for it at all. The presentation was great, but this sandwich was lacking. 2.5 STARS The lemonade use to be so good. It tasted like water with a splash of lemonade. 2.5 STARS The chips were good and provided a nice crunch. So overall the food and drink were decent. I wish we would have only picked the Ciabatta Cheesesteak Sandwich. Overall 3 STARS Ambiance was ok they desperately need someone to monitor the dining room. This person could and should make sure tables are clean. The floor/carpet was dirty from people dropping food. Napkins that were dirty were on the floor. What a disappointment. I haven't had Panera here in Dallas and lived here for four years. Before that I was a Panera regular in Chicago and Boston. I was so excited to order and have a cinnamon crunch bagel. I can't believe it's a bagel that has been cut in half and it doesn't have the same crunchy cinnamon topping. It's just like a Muffy isn't really a muffin top. A half a bagel that's made into half a bagel isn't really the same as a bagel. The chocolate chip cookie was good. So disappointed that they have retired the sourdough rustic loaf bread. I didn't see any shortbread cookies on the menu. The poppyseed salad was still very good. And the cappuccino was good. Ok I have been to this location several times so I guess I should write a review (I am the duchess after all lol, at least for now). Panera is a solid spot for me, mostly for a quick breakfast, with an occasional quick lunch stop. I like that there are options to pick items from the fresh baked section (breads, bagels, pastries, cookies, souffles etc) or have them make you sandwiches or even some pasta options. What prompted my review this time around was trying the Pink Ribbon bagel they are offering this month (October 2017) in honor of Breast Cancer. In the shape of the signature Pink ribbon - what a delightful mix of flavors - cherry chips, dried cherries, honey, vanilla, and brown sugar - but just like wisps of flavor so it blended deliciously and was not too overpowering-ly sweet. I got mine with the honey walnut cream cheese but I ended up munching on the bagel by itself. I have tried several different bagels, sandwiches, soups in the bread bowls, soups without the bread bowls, pastas, and salads and they have all been pretty good when I need a quick breakfast or lunch. I love that I can order online and pick up on the Rapid pick up shelf by the time I get to the store. Or, if there is a line, the self check out stations are very easy to use. Now this location offers delivery as well so even better. My Panera Rewards - their free rewards program - always gifts me with great rewards. I was a bit disappointed because they didn't have the everything bagel which was my favorite but they had other good options too. They have the best oatmeal too, I never had anything like it. As many times as I visit Panera, I'm surprised I have never left a review. This location is very close to my office. They recently updated this location with self service kiosks. I never use them especially since they're not set up to take your keychain panera card or a gift card. Recently, I was alerted $5 would be placed on my panera card if I use the rapid pick up online ordering system. I placed an order for the $4.99 bbq chicken flatbread using the online ordering system. My confirmation advised my order would be ready at 1:08pm. Sure enough, I walked over to the pickup line and there was my food sitting in a bin (receipt with name taped to front of bag). It's never been easier than this. The simplicity of this worries me a bit as anyone could pick up my order and walk out. However, this will be my method of choice when it comes to ordering. My flatbread exceeded my expectations. Now if Panera could update the horrible parking here, that would be awesome. I either take a super early lunch or a super late lunch as I know parking will be impossible during peak times. One time at a neighboring business, I was blocked in by an 18 wheeler and was late getting back from lunch. I didn't want to write a review because we thought maybe it was a one time thing and maybe it was a bad day. Instead of our items, we got a bacon mac and cheese, and two burnt baguettes. I kid you not, we banged it against the table and it was just not fun trying to eat it. As for today, I placed my order at 6:20, and I received an email and a text message at 6:37 letting me know that my food was on the way. I didn't hear from them until I called AN HOUR LATER. I called the manager, and he said the delivery guy claimed that he gave me a call to let me know that he couldn't deliver because he locked his keys in his car, but he DIDN'T give me a call at all. So basically, moral of the story, I won't be ordering from this location ever again. I am usually happy with the service here, and I can always find a clean table, so a big plus for that. I'm a huge coffee lover, but I can't get a really good cup of coffee at Panera which is strange because they make such a big to-do over their "sip-club which is about $9 a month for coffee as long as you wait two hours between visits. If you just need a cup of Joe to keep you going, it's a decent deal. But, if you are Keto, bring your own Splenda because you won't get any here. You can, however, get lime Bubly carbonated water, and I like that. I like just about everything on the menu. I have to say, I'm not a bagel fan, but I am in love with their cinnamon crunch bagels. If you're bringing teenagers, expect to need to feed them soon after because the portions aren't huge, and my teenage boys always went home afterwards and made a sandwich or something. I love Panera Bread. Of all the chain restaurants in the area, Panera's definitely in my top 3 (it's a close call between Panera, breadwinner's, and chipotle). Their menu is huge yet despite that the food at this location has (in my experience) been very good and consistent every time I've visited. I usually get soups and sandwiches, but I think what sticks out to me about this location is that their chicken/turkey is always juicy and not dry, their soups are consistent and not overly salty/bland, and their ingredients always taste fresh. They get really busy here on the weekends, so it's understandable that their staff might be a little frantic sometimes, but they're usually very friendly and nice when they're not trying to cater to 1 million things at once.
